The Internet-of-Things (IoT) is a wireless technology that offers opportunities for Government-Agencies (GA) to improve services to citizens. However, the challenge is to ensure that the IoT is fully utilized as the real value of using IoT services comes from the establishments of services through effective utilization of technologies. This paper aims to develop a conceptual model for successful implementation of IoT services in GA which is one of the least essential studied aspects of utilization of Digital-Government services. This study proposes a new integrated success model that combines the dimensions of Technology-Readiness-Index (TRI) 2.0 with other success factors – service quality, information quality, system quality, user satisfaction, use (from DeLone&McLean Information-System-Success-Model), perceived usefulness (from Technology-Acceptance-Model), and trust construct to understand the determinants of IoT services success model in GA from the perspective of government officers. Interviews with Government-IoT experts are conducted to define and delineate the research problem. The proposed model could bring a better perspective of the critical factors that contribute to the success of IoT services implementation process particularly in GA as well as providing a groundwork for further empirical testing. Moreover, it will suggest an appropriate implementation mechanism to help GA increase the use of IoT services.

Purpose This study aims to determine system quality (SQ) and information quality (IQ) characteristics of voice assistants (VA) on smartphones that are affecting users’ satisfaction and technology acceptance, and how these affect behavioral intention (BI) to use. Design/methodology/approach This study uses the integrated model of user satisfaction and technology acceptance to evaluate users’ behavioral intention to use VAs on smartphones. The model represents a causal chain from the key characteristics of SQ and IQ to beliefs and attitudes that ultimately affect use. An online survey was conducted with 75 university students, and the data was analyzed using multivariate analysis: Simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. Findings While SQ and IQ of VAs had stronger effects on perceived ease of use (PEU), information satisfaction and PEU showed significant influences on perceived usefulness (PU). The results supported the influence of PEU, PU, and attitude on BI to use but with lesser effect than what PU and attitude together had on BI. Research limitations/implications The sample was drawn from a population of students at a single and small university. Although this study received 160 responses, only 75 were appropriate for analysis. Originality/value There is no research, which adopts technology acceptance and user satisfaction approaches to VAs. To measure the causal effects, this study determined system and information characteristics that could explain SQ and IQ of the current VAs on smartphones. This study tested the proposed framework within the scope of the integrated approach.

Background: The Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Finance and Planning implemented the Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG) system to improve the whole cycle of revenue management. As of June 2020, the system has been implemented in 660 institutions, 28 commercial banks, and 6 mobile money operators. Whilst the initial acceptance of this system is positive, relatively no study has evaluated its effectiveness in meeting the expected benefits. Elsewhere, similar systems showed initial acceptance at the beginning, followed by failures after some years of use. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the effectiveness of GePG system to find out how effectively public money is spent. Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the success of GePG system using users’ satisfaction as a success measure.Method: The study adapted the updated Delone and Mclean Information Systems success model whereby perceived usefulness and trust in system were added as new factors. The sequential explanatory design research design integrating quantitative and qualitative data within a single investigation was adopted. A total of 442 users from 271 institutions in 11 regions in Tanzania participated in the study. Results: Trust in system, information quality, and perceived usefulness had a significant positive impact on users’ satisfaction with GePG system, whilst service quality had a significant negative impact. In contrast, system quality did not have an effect. Conclusion: The study shows that trust in system and perceived usefulness are important factors in the updated Delone and Mclean IS success model in evaluating user satisfaction with revenue collection systems. The findings from the open-ended questions and implications of the findings are discussed.

Rapid developments and change have culminated new applications of information technologies. This trend is reflected in the plethora of innovative studies. Literature indicates that small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) perceive human resources information systems (HRIS) as complicated and time consuming, resulting in resistance from both users and employees. The purpose of this article is to identify necessary acceptance conditions for a successful implementation of the HRIS software within SMEs in Turkey. SMEs compose 99% of all companies in Turkey. Fierce rivalry within sectors gives rise to increased technology use to gain a competitive advantage. This study contributes to an efficient implementation of widely used HRIS in SMEs and offers solutions for implementation failures, including user resistance and idle system problems. This study attempts to apply the technology acceptance model to 112 SMEs that implement HRIS exclusively with all the submodules. This research analyzes success factors for an effective HRIS implementation by testing the latest integrated model of expanded technology acceptance. It concludes that there is a positive and robust correlation between acceptance and use of technology variables and user satisfaction. The results of this study are useful not only for the managers but also for the manufacturers, technical support, online support, and aftersales services as they are advised to develop strategies for user satisfaction.

PurposeThe primary objective of the present study was to design and develop a model to identify the antecedents and consequences of user satisfaction with digital libraries.Design/methodology/approachThe theoretical framework of this study was based on information system success theory, technology acceptance model (TAM), media affinity theory, satisfaction-loyalty theory and engagement theory. In so doing, eight hypothesized relationships were formulated to develop the conceptual model. The study approach was quantitative. Using simple random sampling technique, a total of 409 Iranian students participated in the study and responded to the survey. Descriptive and inferential data analysis was also performed using SPSS and SmartPLS3 software.FindingsThe results showed that the generic usability of digital library and the quality of digital resources could be used as a functional theoretical framework to predict and understand the factors contributing to user satisfaction in the domain of digital library. Increasing user satisfaction with digital library may have implications including recommending the digital library to others, the digital library reusing as well as the digital library engaging and integrating with them. It should be noted that system quality, service quality, and information quality are important factors in the formation of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and digital libraries' affinity.Originality/valueThis study is the first attempt to empirically evaluate the antecedents and consequences of the user satisfaction with digital library presenting a new model. The model presented in this study can be used in future research as well. Also, this study has eloquently expanded the theories of user satisfaction with digital libraries.

This research investigated Qatari citizens' perceptions regarding the factors influencing their satisfaction with Metrash2 system. Qatari residents use Metrash2 to query, transact, and follow-up their needed information/services online. The study integrated the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the information system success model (ISSM) to explore the factors influencing users' satisfaction with the system. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were significant predictors of behavioral intentions (R2 = 0.554). Furthermore, service quality, information quality, and behavioral intentions were significant predictors of users' satisfaction (R2 = 0.789). Research results did not support the role of system quality in predicting users' satisfaction. Qatari government should focus on the usefulness and ease of use of the system to drive citizens to use it. Convincing citizens to use Metrash2 requires better service quality and information quality. More details are reported at the end of the paper.

BACKGROUND The nursing process information system (NPIS) is used to establish nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation in solving the health problems of patients. OBJECTIVE The factors influencing the use of the NPIS by nurses were analyzed based on user satisfaction and technology acceptance of 3Q (service quality, information quality, and system quality) model. METHODS In this cross-sectional quantitative research, 222 valid responses of nurses were recorded from eight hospitals affiliated with public organizations in Taiwan. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze information quality (IQ), system quality (SysQ), service quality (SQ), user satisfaction (US), perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived enjoyment (PE), behavioral attitude (BA), and intention after the nurses had used the NPIS system for over one month. RESULTS This research indicated that IQ, SQ, and SysQ influenced US. US affected PU, PEOU, and PE and had the highest explanatory power (R2 = 0.9). Furthermore, PU, PEOU, and PE influenced BA and the intention. Consequently, the proposed model explained 51% of the variance in the intentions of using the NPIS. CONCLUSIONS The relationships between the variables of the 3Q model were successfully used to examine the intention of nurses for using the NPIS. By using this research, designers and programmers can comprehensively understand the perceptions of nurses and further improve the performance of the NPIS.

This research was based on the modification of the DeLone and McLean information systems models by adding end-user computing satisfaction variables to determine the success factors for e-government systems. This model was adopted due to the aim of this study to investigate the factors responsible for the successful implementation of e-government by bringing it closer to public value. However, while the DeLone and McLean models focus more on the information system approach, the model proposed was on the premise that system quality (SQ), information quality (IQ), content (CO) and format (FO) are determinants of e-government system user satisfaction. Furthermore, the net benefits through a five-dimensional public value determinants were used to evaluate e-government websites from a community perspective. Responses from 150 communities were analyzed by smart PLS 3.0 using structural equation models to examine the relationship between the constructs of the proposed model. This study contributes to the research gap in adopting DeLone and McLean's model in the e-government due to the limitation in its validation for different contexts. The results support the effect of content variables on user satisfaction and simultaneously prove that it is possible to explain net benefits, with an r-squared value of 69.1%, using the variables in the proposed model. The five dimensions of public value adopted all proved to have a positive influence with a confidence level of 95%. The level of construct significance identified is able to help in the formulation of strategies to improve e-government services.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of IS Success Model variable on Edmodo's e-learning user satisfaction partially, both directly and indirectly through the TAM variable. This research was conducted through an ex-post-facto approach to undergraduate students. Data collection instruments used questionnaire and observation. The questionnaire was developed from the technology acceptance model (TAM) and information system (IS) success model. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and path analysis using IBM SPSS 20 program. The results showed that the three core variables of the IS Success model directly had a significant effect on the two core variables of TAM, and the two core variables of TAM directly affected user satisfaction. Indirectly, the three core variables of IS Success model had a significant effect on user satisfaction through the two core variables of TAM. Service Quality, also, to provide a more significant direct effect on perceived usefulness, also indirectly influenced user satisfaction through perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use had more significant direct and indirect effects through perceived usefulness on Edmodo e-learning user satisfaction.
