Universities and higher educational institutions, in the country or across the globe create new knowledge through their study of the existing ecosystems along with the constraints and challenges that lie therein. The most crucial tool in the box towards solving these gaping issues happens to be academic research. The knowledge generated at these epicentres address the problems, related to health, climate change, sustainability among many others. The findings of the research offer substantial breakthroughs to enhance the living standards of the people, better utilization of the limited resources and preservation of the planet. With the changing and ever-growing role of the institutions of higher learning and universities in particular research has become all the more crucial. There is hardly any domain where universities and the scholars don’t have a role to play. With spectacularly arrayed disciplines coming under the ambit of education, the researchers have a ringside view of the world problems. If we pick up any instance of authorities dealing with contemporary issues, we are sure to find a few academics in the core team. Academics and particularly the hard research has emerged as the new go-to guy. With so much riding on the research, any dilution of its sanctity would bring down the entire edifice of progress and development. Any laxity on the rigorous methodologies or standards procedures may prove very catastrophic for all the stakeholders and the community as a whole. Sadly it has been observed worldwide that researchers often indulge in misconduct while pursuing their education and research enterprises. Misconduct refers to a gamut of wrong practices like plagiarizing, fabricating or falsifying data, manipulating images or pictures to substantiate their finding; reporting selectively to support their research objectives. The menace of gift and ghost authorship is also prevalent across academic and research intelligence. Any of this dilutes the quality of research and questions the authenticity of the resulting knowledge.

According to endogenous growth theories, human capital is a major determinant of economic growth and development. Human capital refers to the educational qualifications, skills, and experience that individuals possess. Educational institutions, in general, and universities, in particular, are most instrumental in developing and enhancing the quality of human capital through capacity building involving training, research, information dissemination, and knowledge management. These institutions should be not only firmly established and maintained but also continuously empowered to meet the current and evolving needs of their countries.

The article shows that in career development, the use of acting techniques opens up new opportunities. The author traces the development of the Russian acting school, created by K.S. Stanislavsky and later revised and supplemented by his students, in the modern socio-economic situation. The article demonstrates that despite the fact that for many years this school was aimed exclusively at educating and training people who want to connect their lives with the theater, it had a significant impact on amateurs as well. Passion for the performing arts was traced among people of a wide variety of professions, which contributed to the creation of numerous amateur theaters. This tendency was especially evident in educational institutions. Pupils and students under the guidance of an experienced director tried to take steps in the stage space, received grateful responses, but continued to be content with the role of an amateur actor, without encroaching on the laurels of a professional. Nevertheless, after that, their main activity, regardless of the direction, moved to a completely different level. Without any psychotherapeutic interventions, the attitude to oneself, to the people around, and to situations changed, the speech apparatus and the timbre of the voice were transformed, phobias and depressive tendencies disappeared. As a result, participants in amateur theaters acquired a new circle of friends and promotions, or they radically changed their field of activity, opening completely new prospects for themselves. The article examines these possibilities in the framework of the modern situation, when the entire range of theater and acting means may be in demand by representatives of other professions.
