Tourism experience is considered highly essential in tourism studies but less attention to research has focused on cultural tourism experiences whereas has its idiosyncratic compared to other types of tourism. This study investigated the interrelationship among cultural tourism experiences, electronic word of mouth, and destination image. Empirical analysis based on data collected through online questionnaires from 134 tourists have been visited the religious-cultural tourism village Bongo in Gorontalo. PLS-SEM conducted to data analysis which showed that cultural tourism experience positively impacts on destination image and electronic word of mouth, also electronic word of mouth influence destination image. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on the role of tourism experience and its impact on future tourist behavior in the cultural tourism context. The theoretical and managerial implications of these findings are beneficial in designing strategies to leverage destination attractiveness

Orientation: The study investigated the influence of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) adoption on brand love amongst Generation Z consumers in South Africa that will enable marketers to improve their brand love strategies amongst this generation.Research purpose: The study used the information adoption model to investigate the impact of eWOM adoption on brand love amongst Generation Z consumers.Motivation for the study: This study adds to the limited body of literature on Generation Z consumers in emerging markets. It examines drivers of online purchase decisions of Generation Z consumers, such as eWOM adoption and brand love.Research design, approach and method: The study followed a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were obtained through structured questionnaires from Generation Z consumers. Non-probability, purposive sampling was used to select the sample. Data were captured, coded and cleaned using Statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) version 25, yielding 284 usable questionnaires. Apart from descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the validity of the constructs obtained from previously developed scales through convergent and discriminant validity. The reliability of the constructs was tested using Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability. The conceptual model was tested using Structural Equation Modelling and the hypotheses were analysed using path modelling in Analysis of moment structures (AMOS) version 25.Main findings: The results revealed a positive, weak relationship between eWOM adoption and brand love. Argument quality had a strong, positive influence on information usefulness, which in turn, had a strong, positive influence on eWOM adoption.Practical/managerial implications: Marketers can use the findings of this study to target Generation Z consumers in emerging markets more effectively by sharing quality, authentic content through Facebook and Instagram to encourage eWOM adoption and somewhat affect brand love.Contribution/value-add: This study adds to the limited body of knowledge on Generation Z consumers in emerging markets. It elucidates how marketers can encourage eWOM adoption amongst this generation, thereby leading to brand love, to some extent.

This study aims to investigate the impact of destination image on memorable tourism experience (MTE). We also analyzed the effect of memorable tourism experience on revisit intention. Since there is a limited number of studies on the relationship between destination image and MTE, this study will contribute to the literature. Non-probability convenience sampling method was used to select the sample. The research was conducted with a total of 707 tourists who visited Antalya, Turkey. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using SPSS 20 and LISREL 8.7 package programs. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to analyze the data in the study. Our results indicate that the dimensions of the destination image, namely natural attractions, cultural attractions, tourism infrastructure, and general infrastructure, significantly influence hedonism and local culture. However, dimensions of destination image partly affect novelty, involvement, meaningfulness, and knowledge. Regarding the second objective, the results revealed that MTE dimensions explained 21.9% of the variance in revisit intention. Since novelty is an important antecedent of MTE and revisits intention, novelty and initiatives related to the tourism sector should be constantly monitored. Destination management organizations could be contributed to the formation of MTE by increasing the activities such as festivals, competitions, exhibitions and encouraging tourists to participate in these activities. Other managerial implications are discussed based on the study results, and directions for future research are provided.

This paper examines the impact of exposure to Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM) on consumer purchase intention. More specifically, the study focuses on the mediating role of attitude towards the product in the relationship between purchase intention and EWOM exposure. To this effect, the study was conducted over a number of 204 internet users who were exposed to online hotel comments. Three distinct linear correlations were used. First, the correlation between the intention to visit the hotel and EWOM evaluation, then a second correlation between attitude towards the hotel and EWOM evaluation and finally, a third multiple regression of purchase intention on both attitude towards the hotel and EWOM evaluation. The obtained results indicated that attitude towards the product is a full mediating variable between purchase intention and EWOM evaluation. The study concludes with managerial implications recommending the use of EWOM as an efficient communication tool.

PurposeThe purpose of the paper is to analyze the different results between the effects of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on the perception of potential tourist in Japan and Indonesia regarding destination image, destination trust, satisfaction and their intention to visit.Design/methodology/approachThis research method is a structural model. Based on the existing literature review, several variables were obtained which were then analyzed by WarpPLS 6.0 software. The sampling method applied in this study is the purposive sampling technique. Samples of 200 potential tourists were collected in Indonesia and 100 potential tourists were collected in Japan. The population in this study was a potential tourist in Indonesia and Japan, with the following criteria: An Indonesian citizen, age between 19 and 60 years, who has never visited Japan and a Japanese citizen who has never visited Indonesia and have ever read or conduct online discussions regarding Japan and Indonesia as a tourist destination.FindingsThe results of the analysis of the two respondents in Japan and Indonesia prove that e-WOM has a positive effect on the image of the destination and intention to visit but not on the confidence of the destination. Destination image was also proven to significantly mediate the influence of e-WOM on intention to visit. These findings bring important implications for the theory and practice of tourism marketing.Originality/valueTheoretically, the result could be used as a reference for further research about the comparison between the effect e-WOM on destination image, destination trust and intention to visit of potential tourist in developed countries and developing countries. Orientation: Identification of the inner coping strategies used by South African Police Service (SAPS) officers who do operational work is something the SAPS should consider to ensure the officers’ management of trauma and efficiency at work.Research purpose: The objective of this study was to describe inner coping strategies used by officers in the Vhembe district (South Africa) to reconstruct stressful and traumatic experiences at work.Motivation for the study: Most studies on coping amongst SAPS officers focus on organisational stress and not on the impact of the officers’ operational work.Research design, approach and method: An exploratory design was used and 20 SAPS officers were selected through purposive sampling. In-depth face-to-face and telephone interviews, as well as diaries were used to collect data, which were analysed using content thematic data analysis.Main findings: The results showed that the main categories of coping strategies that led to management of the impact of operational work amongst the selected sample were centred around problem-focused and emotion-focused strategies, with some use of reappraisal and minimal use of avoidance. Considering the context of the officers’ work, the list of dimensions of inner coping strategies amongst SAPS officers should be extended.Practical/managerial implications: Intervention programmes designed for the SAPS, including critical incident stress debriefing, should take the operational officers’ inner strategies into account to improve the management of the impact of their work.Contribution/value-add: This study contributes to the body of knowledge on the inner coping strategies amongst SAPS officers, with special reference to operational work in a specific setting.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Brand exposure, Customer engagement dan Electronic Word of Mouth (e-Wom) terhadap kesadaran konsumen pada produk internasional The Body Shop Di Banda Aceh. Ukuran sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 96 responden. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui daftar pertanyaan/kuisioner dan studi dokumentasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, uji F (serempak) dan uji t (parsial) dimaksud untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara uji simultan antara variabel Brand exposure, Customer engagement dan Electronic Word of Mouth (e-Wom) berpengaruh terhadap kesadaran konsumen pada produk internasional The Body Shop Di Banda Aceh. Kemudian secara parsial Brand exposure dan Electronic Word of Mouth (e-Wom) berpengaruh terhadap kesadaran konsumen pada produk internasional The Body Shop Di Banda Aceh. Sedangkan Customer engagement tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesadaran konsumen pada produk internasional The Body Shop Di Banda Aceh

Purpose of this research was to determine the effect of Destination Image and Electronic Word of Mouth on Tourist Visiting Interests on Tambakrejo Beach tourism in Blitar. This research used a quantitative approach. Nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling technique was used for sampling with research samples obtained as many as 90 respondents. Types primary data is used in this research. Data processing is done by using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. Results of research showed that: 1) Destination Image had a significant positive effect on Tourist Visiting Interests at Tambakrejo Beach Blitar. 2) Electronik Word of Mouth has a significant positive effect on Turist Visiting Interests at Tambakrejo Beach Blitar.

Social networks are actively penetrating into all spheres of our society. The influence of social media is strongly affected by the younger generation, who spends a lot of time in the virtual social space. The purpose of this study was to study the influence of social networks on the choice of a university brand by representatives of generation Y. The data was collected through an online survey using the Google forms service. The results obtained indicate that social media engagement has a positive effect on brand image. Firm-created and user-generated social media communication have a positive effect on brand equity in Higher Education Institutions. Brand equity positively influences Brand choice intention. The value of this study lies in the fact that it considered the influence of various factors on the formation of the intention of representatives of generation Y to choose brands of universities, taking into account the moderate effect of electronic word of mouth. The results obtained complement the scientific literature on the impact of social media on consumer behavior. The results of this study can help in understanding the choice of students of educational organizations, taking into account the influence of social networks and electronic word of mouth, which can help university marketing departments to promote brands more effectively in the social media space.

The widespread access of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) enables contemporary consumers to assess the opinions of others, irrespective of geographical boundaries, about products and services. This research examines the impact of e-WOM on building international brand awareness when the former is used as a core part of a company's overall digital marketing strategy. By applying the survey methodology, the findings provide support for this positive effect; namely, the integration of e-WOM in the overall digital marketing strategy and activities applied by an organization can enhance brand awareness beyond country borders and contribute towards the overall organizational effectiveness and success. Taken together, the study provides further insight into eWOM and cross-border brand awareness relationship and outlines several questions that deserve further study.

The importance of positive word of mouth (WOM) and repurchasing in competitive online retail environments demands their further study. Although customer satisfaction has been found to drive positive WOM and repurchasing, limited research has explored what type of customers feel more satisfied with online shopping. It was anticipated that the convenient nature of online shopping would better match the conscientious personality traits of customers with earlier sleep and wake times. Data collected from 334 Indian college students participating in this study using a snowball sampling method were analysed by multiple regression. As hypothesised, based on self-congruency theory, customers with earlier sleep and wake times were found to feel more satisfied with online shopping, which in turn enhanced their positive WOM and increased repurchase intention. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
