Pandemi COVID-19 yang melanda dunia mengharuskan masyarakat untuk melindungi diri dari penularan penyakit melalui penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD). APD dari COVID-19 seperti masker bedah (surgery mask), sarung tangan, pakaian dekontaminasi (hazardous material suit), dan pelindung wajah (face shield) sebagian besar terbuat dari plastik dan kebutuhannya meningkat tajam. Namun, limbah APD tidak dipahami masyarakat sebagai limbah B3 infeksius sehingga sering dicampur pembuangannya bersama dengan limbah domestik. Kondisi tersebut dapat ditemukan pada seluruh lokasi di Indonesia, terutama Daerah Khusus Ibukota (DKI) Jakarta. Berdasarkan laporan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup DKI Jakarta, penghasil limbah APD domestik tertinggi berada di daerah Jakarta Barat. Melalui penelitian dilakukan pengelolaan limbah APD di daerah Jakarta Barat berbasis Smart Infectious Waste Bank (SIWAB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh timbulan limbah APD yang berasal dari rumah tangga dan merancang bank sampah yang didukung oleh teknologi digital (aplikasi) sebagai sarana pengelolaan limbah APD. Penelitian diawali dengan studi pendahuluan timbulan limbah APD beserta karakteristiknya dan dilanjutkan dengan perancangan SIWAB. Hasil penelitian berupa aplikasi SIWAB yang terintegrasi dengan smartphone. Penelitian ini akan memberikan kontribusi besar kepada pemerintah Jakarta Barat dalam pengelolaan limbah B3 infeksius khususnya dan Indonesia umumnya.ABSTRACTThe COVID-19 pandemic that surge the world, requires people to protect themselves from the transmission of disease by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The COVID-19 PPE, such as surgery masks, gloves, hazardous material suits, and face shields, are mostly made of plastic and the need for procurement is increasing. However, the community does not understand the PPE waste as infectious hazardous waste, so often it mixed with domestic waste. This condition can be found in all regions of Indonesia, especially the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Based on a report from the Jakarta Environment Agency, the highest producer of domestic PPE waste is in the West Jakarta. Through this research, PPE waste management was carried out in the West Jakarta area based on the smart infectious waste bank (SIWAB). This study aims to obtain PPE waste generation from household and to design a waste bank that is supported by digital technology (application) as a means of PPE waste management. The research begins with a preliminary study of the generation of PPE waste and its characteristics and next designing an SIWAB application. The research result is a SIWAB application that is integrated with smartphone. This research will make a major contribution to the West Jakarta government in managing Toxic and Hazardous Materials (THM) infectious waste and Indonesia in general.

The problem of waste in Batu City can threaten tourism sector in this city. The Waste Management System Program is held by the Environment Agency (DLH) Batu City seems to be unable to access waste problems in the upstream sector, particularly  household waste from residential settlements. This lack capacity of the program followed up by DLH by organizing a waste bank program through the establishment of the Community Waste Bank (KBS) Kartini Sejati which coordinated around 60 waste banks in Batu City to be involved in waste management.This study aims to explain the involvement of KBS Kartini Sejati in waste management in co-production and the obstacles faced by it. The concept of co-production refer to an alternative concept in the implementation of public services where implementation focuses on the dominant role of the community, while the government or other parties such as the private sector are only facilitators. This research  use qualitative method by utilizing data from observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that KBS Kartini Sejati in several of its activities which include training in waste management, waste management, and "Sapu Bersih Sanpah Nyemplung Kali" (Saberpungli) have applied the principles of co-production. It is due to those activities have implemented six co-production principles, namely the development of community capacity, mutually beneficial relationships between actors, network development, the government as a facilitator and catalyst, and the community as an important asset in implementing services. However, in its implementation, the waste bank program still has several obstacles such as the limitations of the budgetary resources, the decreasing level of public awareness to be active in waste banks, and the lack of innovation in waste managementKeywords: Co-production; waste management, waste bank

<p>Some areas in the city of Bandung is an area that dilitasi by the flow of the river, to prevent the introduction of garbage into the river basin is necessary to note the waste management systems in residential areas along the river. Cidurian river has a length of 24.86 Km along the river flow. Consists of the city of Bandung and Bandung regency. Administrative regions Cidurian River past eight (8) districts, from the region in the District Kiaracondong precisely Village Babakan Babakan Sari and Surabaya populous and the most densely populated. Thus, there should be community-based waste management in the form of a reduction in resources to prevent potential entry of waste into the river basin. Planning waste reduction will be divided into two, namely the reduction of inorganic waste with waste bank then the reduction of organic waste with absorption holes biopori, and bio reactor mini determination of the reduction is determined by the results of the analysis of the sampling covers the composition and garbage, then the result of the measurement characteristics test and analysis results questionnaire.</p>

The purpose of this study was to study the effect of work discipline variable and simultaneous work ability and competence at the West Papua Province Social Service Office. This research is a quantitative study. The sampling method uses Non Probability Sampling and the sampling technique uses Saturated Sampling. The result of this study indicate that the variable work discipline is not significant on employee performance, and subsequent research result indicate that work ability variables partially have a siginificant effect on employee performance. Also showed a variable work discipline and work ability significantly to the performance of employess in the West Papua Province Social Service Office. Improving the performance of West papua Provincial Social Service Office employees must provide work coordination and work capabilities together to improve employee performance.

Objectives: The study was designed to find out the type and quantity of different type of wastes generated inthe two wings of Saidu Group of teaching Hospitals. The study also aimed at finding that whether facilitiesare available in different units for the segregation, storage, disinfection of infectious waste at the onset andmethods of disposal of waste within and outside the hospital. Also, types of items reused and their methodsof sterilization and the fate of used syringes was found out.Study Design: ObservationalMethodology: The study focus was Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), a tertiary care hospital providingservices to the people of Swat, Malakand, Dir, Kohistan and areas far up to Chitral. Situated 1.5 Km apartSTH consists of two administrative units,Saidu Wing and Central Wing.A qualitative analysis of various aspects of waste management was done by reviewing the availableauthentic record and discussion with the sanitary and administrative staff of the hospital. All the data wascollected according to, and filled in a pre-designed questionnaire.Results: It was found that Saidu Teaching Hospital generates more than 550 Kg of solid waste and 1295liters of liquid waste per day, which makes 1.2 Kg/bed/day. As a whole 80% of the waste generated wasordinary garbage, 12% was infectious, 4% was Pharmacological, 3% pathological and 0.8% consisted ofsharps.The provision of facilities for the segregation of waste at outpatient departments, Wards, Operation theatreand Laboratories/Blood Banks were 7.5%, 7%, 20% and 28.5% respectively and for storage of waste beforedisposal at outpatient departments, Wards, Operation theatre and Laboratories / Blood Banks were 22%,8%, 0% and 28.5% respectively.Disinfection of infectious waste at outpatient departments, wards, operation theatre and laboratories / bloodbanks was 10%, 12%, 0% and 17% respectively. Methods used were treatment with phenyl and burning inopen air.About the removal of waste from hospital premises, 78% mentioned sweepers, 17% said rig pickers while5% said that there is no one to take away the waste.54% admitted that they threw the syringes as such in thebins.The study found that 80% of the waste went to the municipal corporation land fills, the rest was either burntor thrown as such into the water channel passing through the hospital (12% & 8% respectively). 67% blamedthe administration, 25 % held the doctors responsible, 37% charged the nursing staff and 67% blamed thesweepers for the faulty management of hospital waste.Conclusion: It is thus concluded that Saidu Teaching Hospital generates huge amount of solid and liquidwaste, which is not properly disposed off currently, therefore it needs modern and scientific waste disposalsystems.Keywords: Waste Management, hospital waste management, waste disposal

AbstractThe fundamental problem of the research is the policy implementation program of waste management in Kapuas Hulu is not as expected. Therefore, The responsibility of waste management program must be handled by all of the local government and the other stakeholders. The research aim is to describe and analyze the policy process of the implementation program. The research type is a survey research by the descriptive model. There are four Kelurahan in the research, namely Kelurahan Putussibau Kota, Kelurahan Hilir Kantor, Kelurahan Kedamin Hulu and Kedamin Hilir. The research result shows that the compliance of the implementers is in the Standard Procedure Operational. But, in the legal aspect is not optimally performed. The recommendation of this research is the local government, such as Dinas Lingkungan Hidup, Perumahan Rakyat dan Kawasan Permukiman, must be immediately issued the local regulation on waste management. Besides, the local government must plan and establish the derivative regulation of the local regulation. .Key words : The policy implementation program of waste management , Compliance, Whats Happening
