The business strategy variables are measured by the cost leadership strategy model for the current year. Earnings management variables are calculated by aggregating the triggering factors for earnings management, namely sales manipulation, overproduction, and discretionary spending. The leverage variable is calculated by the ratio of debt to assets and the moderating variable is measured by the proportion of share ownership by the managerial party. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the company's financial statements obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the official website of each company. The second result are showed that there are not difference in Return On Asset among family with non family firm.

This research aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the effect of auditor characteristics on the relationship between audit committee effectiveness and earnings management. Mechanisms of good corporate governance can limit and control the opportunistic actions of management. The higher level of effectiveness of the audit committee will reduce the tendency of companies to practice earnings management. In addition to the Audit Committee as an internal party that oversees the credibility of financial statements, it is also necessary to supervise external parties, namely external auditors. So that with an effective audit committee and the function of the external auditor it is expected to reduce earnings management. Agency theory is used as a theoretical framework to provide a robust theoretical framework for investigating manager behavior in various companies. In this perspective, agency theory provides a clear understanding of the effectiveness of audit committees and the characteristics of auditors, and recognizes this as the most crucial oversight mechanism that reduces agency costs, manages conflicts of interest, and mitigates earnings management. The contribution of this research to the existing literature both theoretically and empirically. Theoretically, it will add governance theory about the interaction between the audit committee and external auditors in ensuring the quality of financial reporting. Empirically, the results of research on corporate governance and reporting quality reveal that the majority of them have been conducted in countries with advanced capital markets. In contrast, studies conducted in countries with developing capital markets are still scarce. Keywords: Audit Committee, Earnings Management, Auditor, Audit Quality

The purpose of this study is to test and find the influence of information asymmetry on earnings management with good corporate governance as moderating variable in banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)) in 20102014. Earnings management variable was measured using the approach of Beaver and Engel (1996), information asymmetry variable was measured using the approach of bid-ask spread, and good corporate governance (GCG) variable was measured using GCG self-assessment. The research type used was quantitative research using secondary data. The population in this study was all banking sector companies listed on the IDX in 2010-2014. The number of samples was 15 banking companies taken from the total of 41 banking companies. Sampling technique was conducted using documentation. Methods of analysis used in this study were simple linear regression analysis and moderated regression analysis. The results of this study show that information asymmetry has a significant influence on earnings management, and GCG moderates the influence of information asymmetry on earnings management.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of corporate governance on earnings management with capital structure as an intervening variable in Islamic commercial banks registered in the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2014-2018 period. This research uses quantitative research by using multiple linear regression and path analysis as data analysis. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data on Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2014-2018 period. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using SPSS 23 devices. The population in this study are all Islamic commercial banks registered at the Financial Services Authority (OJK) during the 2014-2018 period. The sampling method is done by purposive sampling that is by using several criteria to obtain 12 Islamic banks that are used as research samples. The results of this study indicate that managerial ownership, institutional ownership and audit committee have no effect on earnings management. Managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and audit committee do not affect the capital structure. Capital structure cannot mediate the relationship between managerial ownership, institutional ownership and earnings management.

Samples are determined based on Purposive sampling to obtain 6 sample companies. The nature of quantitative data and data type data used is secondary data. Methods of data analysis in research used is linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Test results showed that information asymmetry has a significant positive effect on earnings management with a significance level of 0.006<0.05. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is proxied by factor score able to weaken the relationship between information asymmetry to earnings management with significance level 0,041< 0,05, so Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is quasi moderate variable. This study uses three control variables, namely firm size, leverage and market to book value. The data used in this study is secondary data derived from the financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2015. By using purposive sampling, this study uses 109 sample companies with a period of 3 years, resulting in 327 years of observation. Data analysis method used in this research is Simple Linear Regression with Ordinary Least Squared (OLS) and Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA) approach. The results showed that the auditor's reputation had a significant negative effect on earnings management and Corporate Governance had no effect as moderator of earnings management. Of the three control variables used in this study, only leverage (DER) has an effect on earnings management, while the other two variables ie firm size and market to book value have no effect
