AbstractGuarantee of the ship safety is the primary task posed for modern navigation systems. This concerns monitoring the proper ship position as well as providing accurate information about the collision threat. The proper interpretation of this information belongs to the navigator. He must take into account many variables affecting the assessment of the situation and then make the right decision regarding anti-collision manoeuvres. This assessment could be made easier for him with use some form of graphic target data presentation methods other than currently required and described in IMO performance standards. Other possible graphic presentation methods of collision information are described in the article along with the concept of their usage.

Introduction. Performance evaluation is the process of evaluating the implementation of the tasks of organizational members, including libraries, in accordance with the performance standards using particular way including instruments. Instruments are needed to document the evaluation carried out by the organization. Therefore, libraries need to pay attention to developa performance evaluation instrument to plan their human resources. This research explains an overview of stages in developing performance evaluation instruments in an organization, particularly libraries. Research methods. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach by involving the existing  performance evaluation dimensions. After that, the performance evaluation indicators were developed. Data analysis. The measurement of validity and reliability was valid when the correlation between items was >0.3 and when Cronbach alpha was > 0.6. The measurement of validity and reliability help to support the development of performance evaluation instruments. Results and Discussion. Of the 36 statements, only 27 items were valid and used in performance appraisal instruments. The items are arranged in a model of development of the performance evaluation instruments. Conclusion and recommendations. A good organization needs to pay attention to the right indicators in an assessment instrument. In its application, it is effective to use the 360 ​​degree method, where employees are evaluated by other staff to ensure the balance professional perspective.

Inferiority can arise for children who do not get the father’s role, especially when comparing themselves to their friend who still has a father. This study aims to find out the inferiority attitude displayed by children who have a single mother and know the coping strategies of single-parent mothers overcoming the child’s inferiority attitude. The study subjects were three single-parent mothers in Gampong Birem Puntong Kota Langsa whose children had inferiority and families with purposive sampling techniques. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach—data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The data analysis was done by data reduction, data presentation, and verification or inference of data. The results showed that the inferiority displayed by children who have a single mother arises due to losing a father figure. Single mother coping strategies overcome the child’s inferiority by making a plan that is arranged according to the needs of the child, then carrying it out in accordance with the right time, overcoming obstacles when carrying it out, and having the last step in the form of follow-up to evaluate and supervise every development experienced by the child

Jumputan Motif Fabric is a type of fabric that resembles batik with special motifs and patterns. Sanggar Maharani which is engaged in the fabric industry has problems in productivity and marketing. Objective Matrix (OMAX) and Business Model Canvas (BMC) methods can be applied to overcome these problems.The purpose of this study is on the production floor of Sanggar JumputanMaharani and develop motives business strategies to be able to compete in the market. The specific target of this study is to obtain a business plan to deal with competition and obtain increased productivity on the production floor. This research also plays a major role in advancing the creative industry and preserving the culture of the city through Yogyakarta.The results are performance standards values ​​for efficient use of labor 19,7801 units / person, minimization of defective products 0.0055%, absence 0.0018%. The calculation results with the Objective Matrix model on the production floor of Sanggar Jumputan Maharani found that the highest value of performance is 258.24. The results of the productivity index that shows the lowest productivity index is in April 2018 which is equal to -23.40% and the highest productivity index is in March 2018 which is 45.06%. While the right business planning strategy for the Sanggar Jumputan Maharani, which consists of 9 blocks: Customer Segments, Value Propositions, Channels, Customer Relations, Revenues Streams, Key Resources, Key Activities, Key Partnerships, and the Cost Structure shown in the Business Model Canvas Template.

The research problem addressed in this paper includes the progress of suburbanization in selected Polish metropolises. The following core question was formulated: when did today’s suburbanization processes start, and what are the migration trends and targets of the population living at the dividing line between urban and suburban limits in Polish metropolises. Defined as such, the study field enabled formulating the objective of this research, which is to present the formation of new suburbanization processes in the largest metropolises in Poland. Considering the research problem and the defined objective, the authors analyzed the differences in demographic changes across the territory, and put these findings in the context of suburbanization and its stages. This allowed to determine the dynamics and targets of migration in the metropolises surveyed. Also, the changes were compared between the units covered, providing a basis for further considerations on suburbanization and for concluding whether these processes are cyclical in nature. The analyses relied on descriptive statistics methods and on graphical data presentation methods. The selected metropolises were delimited using QGIS Desktop 2.4.0 and adequate geometry (centroid) and geoprocessing (buffer) tools. This paper relies on source data in the form of shapefile vector layers presenting the boundaries of the administrative units considered (http://www.gugik.gov.pl/pzgik). Source materials included public statistical data and program documents developed at regional and sub-regional level. The study period is 1995-2018. In geographic terms, the study focuses on the selected metropolises of Poznań, Warsaw, Łódź, Wrocław, Krakow, Gdansk and Szczecin.

The application of mini- and microsatellite polymorphisms of dog DNA, also referred to as VNTR- and STR-loci, respectively, in dog breeding and criminalistics is considered. Their use in dog breeding is shown to clarify pedigrees, establish paternity and purebred, as well as to differentiate breeds mainly in the form of microsatellite DNA polymorphism. In criminalistics, dogs can be both participants in crime scenes in the form of attacks on humans or pets, and some witnesses through whose DNA extracted from their fur or feces, by DNA identification of a particular dog, it may be help to get out to the perpetrator or at least to the crime scene, which is also a good help in its disclosure. At the same time, population studies of dogs, during which the prevalence of certain alleles of marker traits in the form of STR loci in different territories is established, contribute to making the right decisions. The databases on STR-polymorphism of dog DNA or their prototypes are briefly described. Attention is paid to the sources of forensic canine DNA, as well as methods of its extraction and preliminary evaluation of isolated preparations. The use of VNTR polymorphism was rather short-lived, and was quickly replaced by STR polymorphism. There are some trends in the introduction of new polymorphic traits in this area in the form of single-nucleotide polymorphism or SNPs, potentially providing more accurate information, including for DNA identification of individuals. The issues of universal DNA certification of dogs are discussed, which can contribute to improving the culture of keeping dogs and will allow the elimination of stray dogs in the future, which will be humanistic character and potentially reduce the number of aggressor dogs.

I congratulate the author of the article with his successful publication. The necessity to change the SOLAS is timely. Suggestions concerning simplifications in the application of the Convention, the use of more simple methods and delegation of greater freedom of choice for ship owners and designers have the right. In my opinion, the increasing use of probabilistic methods in the rules of the Convention is not always justified. For example, the Graph - analytical method that has been used previously to assess the unsinkable ship, gives the designer more opportunity than the current Probabilistic standard.

This chapter asks how the Phaedo conceives of perception, both in its own right and as compared to Theaetetus 184–6. The chapter argues that, though the Phaedo agrees with Theaetetus 184–6 at an abstract level insofar as both dialogues argue that perception is not knowledge, they give different reasons. The task in Theaetetus 184–6 is to provide a precise account of the nature of perception and what it can achieve. The primary task in the Phaedo (so far as the passages that discuss perception are concerned) is to defend the view that we can’t acquire knowledge of forms if we rely on perception or perception-guided inquiry; rather, we need to reason in a way that is, in the right way and to the relevant extent, independent of both of them. Further, though Theaetetus 184–6 takes perception to be non-propositional, the Phaedo is neutral on this issue.

Failure to appropriately measure Value is one of the reasons for slow reform in health. Value brings together quality and cost, both defined around the patient. With technology we can measure value in the new ways: commercially developed algorithms are capable of mining large, connected data sets to present accurate information for patients and providers. But how do we align these new capabilities with clinical and operational realities, and further with individual privacy? The right amount of information, shared at the right time, can improve practitioners' ability to choose treatments, and patients' motivation to provide consent and follow the treatment. Dynamic Consent, where IT is used to determine just what patients are consenting to share, can address the inherent conflict between the demand from AI for access to data and patients' privacy principles. This chapter describes a pragmatic Commercial Development framework for building digital health tool. It overlays Value Model for healthcare IT investments with Patient Activation Measures and innovation management techniques.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The need for car-related navigation and the appearance of the vehicles themselves are much the same age – of course. In the early days, paper maps and personal questioning were solved this problem. Nearly 100 years ago, the first built-in car GPS was released – and this is an innovation that is still an important part of car design. Planning the user interface is a very exciting issue, because only in a few seconds the display needs to provide the user with the right amount of information. In this research our goal was to assess Hungarians driving and built-in GPS using habits and based on this try to suggest the “perfect” interface. A questionnaire was made with 19 or 46 questions and more than 1000 respondents completed it. Because of the high number of questions only selected diagrams are represented. Some answers have also been subjected to different statistical tests.</p>
