Abstract Background Automated unit-dose dispensing system (ADS) of oral solid medication is a complex and sensitive production process in the drug distribution system. Hence, an appropriate training of hospital pharmacy technicians (HPT) is essential. A basic training (observational and practical) of 3 weeks is first organized to evaluate the HPT, followed by an interview with both the pharmacist and the HPT chief. The importance of the human factor (daily routine and repetitive tasks) showed by the risks analysis within this process has led us to search new learning methods to keep the team engaged. An e-learning training was selected in order to further complete the HPT initial training but also as a continuous training to the HPTs who are already working in the ADS process. Process and Methods The e-learning tool was developed using the Google® platform and includes four theoretical training modules (Google® Slides): Module 1 “General organization”, Module 2 “Automatic preparation machine”, Module 3 “Repackaging” and Module 4 “Non-automated drug dispensing”. Each module ends with a self-assessment (Google® Forms). Various teaching materials are included: links to institutional procedures, videos, photos, quizzes, simulations … A minimum of 75 % of correct answers is requested to validate each module. The e-learning, once final, was validated with a new HPT and with five HPTs already in place for more than a year. A satisfaction form is available at the end of the training. Results The 6 HPTs obtained an average of 17.75/20 correct answers. The most successful modules were 1 and 4 (average per module: M1 =  18.5/20; M2=16.8/20; M3=17/20; M4=18.7/20). For module 3, two HPTs scored below 75 % and therefore had to pass this module again. The average time to complete this training was 1.5 hours. HPTs are 100 % satisfied with the training and the teaching materials used. Discussion/Conclusions The e-learning tool fit well with the initial training and the continuous training of the HPTs. Its set up is simple. The duration length spent on the training is shortened for both the pharmacist and the learner. This tool is tailored to the learner needs and constraints. It allows the integration of playful and interactive teaching tool which were appreciated. An audit will be conducted to assess the impact of this training tool on the overall ADS process.

E-learning is a training method increasingly used as it enhances opportunities for participation, allows active tracking of courses and enables wider flexibility for timetables and organization. The implementation of an e-learning platform managed by GBIF Spain was aimed at exploring other ways of creating capacity, reaching a broader audience and multiplying the impact of a well-consolidated training facility. The first platform, used by the Spanish node in 2012, was the open source tool ATutor, which was migrated to Chamilo in 2017 and is available at http://elearning.gbif.es. Since then, these platforms have hosted courses focused on biodiversity data mobilization and data use, addressing both users and data publishers. GBIF.es offers the platform to other organizations in the community so the entire GBIF network can benefit from this service, taking advantage of the already invested resources. Additionally, the GBIF Secretariat uses the platform for developing training activities in the Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) and Biodiversity Information for Asia (BIFA) programmes reaching participants in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, and has implemented the Biodiversity Data Mobilization course for use in other programmes such as Biodiversity Data Management Skills for Students (BioDATA) and Biodiversity Information Management and Reporting (BIMR), reaching communities in Eurasia and South-East Europe respectively. GBIF Argentina has also used it to offer a course on biodiversity data quality and publication. In this session, we will overview the GBIF.es e-learning platform, highlight some successful use cases of the virtual training tool and show how it helped GBIF Spain reach a broader community. We will also present plans for future expansion.

Augmented Practice Room is an e-learning tool, developed by the project team, that allows music students to practice in different acoustical environments while remaining physically in their classroom or at home. Music teachers and students from violin, ‘cello, piano, clarinet, guitar, and pop-singing classes have collaborated in testing it for a semester and giving the authors continuous feedback. In this exploratory phase, we used methods such as group discussion and semi-structured diary, with the purpose to gather as many different perspectives and reactions from participants as possible. The analysis of the collected data showed that the tool was in general positively perceived and considered useful. In particular, results merged into a four-dimensional model that describes the impact of the tool on practice: musical expressiveness, level of attention or arousal, instrument-specific technical issues, and emotional state.

The training needs felt in the professional path of the military of the Republican National Guard, associated with the potential of using new technologies is the core of this investigation. Training is one of the great challenges that organizations currently face and, in the National Republican Guard, it plays a fundamental role in the service provided by the Institution, making it clear the high importance of acquiring and maintaining knowledge and skills for the performance on several roles in the organization. The present investigation aims to determine the importance of the e-Learning tool for the continuous training of the soldiers of the National Republican Guard. In this context, it is intended to characterize the importance of continuous training whose objective is to identify and analyze the consequences of the tool, as well as to identify the impact of the use of new technologies in the training of the institution's military, according to a case study in the Lisbon Territorial Command. The method that supports the investigation is the deductive method, which is based on a logic from the general to the particular. In order to achieve the defined objectives, we opted for interviews and a questionnaire survey, complemented with a documentary analysis resulting from bibliographic research and institutional documents. Thus, it appears that continuous training has a high importance for the professional development of the military, since it promotes quality in the service provided, positively affecting the daily activities of the military, increasing individual success and, consequently, organizational success . It is concluded that e-Learning represents an asset for continuous training, since it is a catalyst for the potential of the institution's human resources.

The research conducted to assess the impact of e-Learning on the teaching and learning management in primary education in Rwanda. The researcher must test the validity of the learning using expert validation sheet instruments and limited testing using observation sheets, interview guides, questionnaires and documentation as the main instruments. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis techniques. E-learning is able to generate a high attractiveness and high learning motivation for the students. respondents to give their level of agreement to the statements relate to factors to that influence e-learning teaching management materials, it was revealed that 47.9% strongly agree that there is management of eLearning in their respective schools, 35.4% agree with the statement and 16.7% disagree that in Management of eLearning in your school with mean of 4.58 and a standard deviation of 0.43. The development of a modern e-learning system promotes the active introduction of distance education. The organization of a mixed form of education at the department of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy involves an education during the session and using the distance contact between faculty and students during the intersessional period. The information technology system of distance learning is provided by personal computers, video and audio equipment. The web-site of the department presents a set of teaching materials, including curriculas, work programs, lecture notes, test assignments, situational tasks, control and individual course work. Distance learning is supplemented with new teaching materials: web lectures, e-learning textbooks and manuals. Lectures are delivered by faculty members in the form of video conferences or webinars. Consultations are conducted in the on-line mode each week at a certain time by the teachers of the department according to the schedule. The website of the department presents methods for implementing practical skills, video stories of individual urgent states on the pathology of internal organs, demonstrates sets of medicines for seven types of first aid kits to improve the students' knowledge and skills, and to successfully pass the practical part of the state certification of graduates from the discipline "Clinical pharmacy".
