The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Circuit Training training and beetroot giving to the improvement of endurance abilities in karate athletes. This research method using experimental methods. Population and sample were 10 athletes of Karate Dojo at SMA PAB 4 Sampali who were obtained by total sampling technique, then divided into two groups using matching pairing techniques, namely the Circuit Training training group and giving beets and without giving beets (control group). The research instrument for data collection using tests and measurements, namely the Bleeb test endurance test. The first hypothesis 0.120> 0.05, Ha is rejected, meaning that the first hypothesis Ho is accepted, there is no significant effect of Circuit Training training and Beetroot Training on the increase in athlete's endurance. The second hypothesis 0.183> 0.05, Ha is rejected, meaning that the conclusion of the second hypothesis Ho is accepted there is no significant effect of Circuit Training without giving beet fruit (control group) on the increase in athlete's endurance. The third hypothesis shows that the Sig. 0.757> 0.05, then Ha is rejected, that is, there is no significant difference between the average value of the post-training circuit training and the giving of beets between the experimental group without giving beets (control group).

<p>This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of constructivist learning using guided discovery models on the concept of a regulatory system for curiosity and anti-narcotics attitudes. This research used a quasi-experimental and pre-experimental design. The population was all of the 4th semester MIA classes of SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga which consists of seven classes. Samples were taken with a convenience sampling technique.  MIA 2.4 and 5.4 as the experimental group and MIA 3.4 and 4.4 as the control group. The data in this research were collected by the scale of curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude. Data were analyzed with descriptive analyzed and t-test. The result showed as follows: there is a significant difference at the end of the curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude of constructivist learning using guided discovery model compared with direct instruction model learning; the average of student’s curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude score ≥ 3,00 on constructivist learning using guided discovery model. It is concluded that constructivist learning using a guided discovery model is effectively completed learning outcomes of the curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude on the regulatory system concept.</p>

This study is aimed find out significant difference of natural science learning outcomes of students who follow peer tutor and do not follow peer tutor. This study is quasi experimental study especially non-equivalent post tes only kontrol groip design. The population of this study was the entire of IV grade students in Gugus II Santalia Kubutambahan District. The sample was determined by using random sampling technique. The sample was IV grade students if SDN 2 Kubutambahan was chosen as experimental group and class IV SDN 4 Kubutambahan as control group. The data was teken by using multiple choice test. The data obtained were analized by using descriptive statistical analysis and inrerential statistic t-test with the formula of polled variance. The results showed the lessons with peer tutor and the group of students who do not follow peer tutor. the findings are peer tutor makes the students motivated, trained, and active to espress their option. furthermore, peer tutor provides an opportunity for the students to exchange ideas, and their work together. in addition, learning with peer titor becomes fluent communicating

The main objective of this study is to identify the effectiveness of teaching methods in teaching English language through figures of speech. Thirty-one figures of speech were selected from different prose adverse lines for the study.  The study was experimental in nature and the pretest-post test control group research design was adopted among 120 bachelor third year education students from five campuses of Makawanpur District, Nepal. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the students to form the Control Group and the Experimental Group which were taught by using the lecture teaching method and the discussion teaching method respectively for thirty five days. The paired samples t test in SPSS Version 20 was used to compare Total Pretest Mean Score and Total Posttest Mean Score within groups. The overall reliability of the instruments based on the posttest scores of the students of the both groups of the pilot study was .979 and that of the research study was .968.  The pair samples t test between the Total Pretest Mean Score and the Total Posttest Mean Score of the Control Group (observed t- value=20.652, critical t- value= 2.001 and p< .05) and the Experimental Group (observed t- value= 42.907, critical t- value= 2.001 and p< .05) show that there was a statistically significant difference between the Total Pretest Mean Score and the Total Posttest Mean Score in each group. It justifies that the lecture teaching method and the discussion teaching method were effective within each group.

The purpose of this research was aimed to know about the affect of cooperative learning model type of think pair share based on multimedia against the competence social science knowledge of 4th grade class elementary school of Gugus Letda Made Putra at North Denpasar in the of year 2017/2018. This research was a quasi experiment with non-equivalent design. The population of this research was 393 students. The sample was taken by group sampling technique with disorganize class. The sample in this research was 4th grade class c elementary school 2 Dangin Puri as experimental group with 33 students and 4th grade class b elementary school 5 Tonja with 41 students as control group. The instrument which used collecting data which is validating objective test 36 rounds. In the end of this research gain score data normalization competence of social science knowledge analyzed with t-test. Of the analysis the result are significant difference between social science competence group experiment and group control. That things proven by result t-test that tcount = 6,193 > ttabel = 1,993 with significant criteria level 5% and dk = 72. Average competence of social experimental group x̅ = 0,59 > x̅ = 0,41 average competence of social control group. Then it could be learning model of type cooperative think pair share based on multimedia is affected with social science students competence fourth grade class elementary school of Gugus Letda Made Putra North Denpasar 2017/2018. Key Words: think pair share, multimedia, social science competence

<p><em>This study aims to see the influence of self-development training to member loyalty. Research subjects are 40 members of Formasi Ar-Ruuh UMA. The samples were divided into experimental groups (Trained) and control groups (No training). Using 50 instruments of loyalty as a measuring instrument. Data analysis techniques using Wilcoxon Test, with the following results: 1. There’s influence of training on experimental group, significance coefficient 0.005. p 0.005 &lt;0.05, hypothesis is accepted. 2. There’s no significant increase in the control group. p = 0,513. p 0,513&gt; 0,05, hypothesis is rejected. 3. There’s no significant difference between the two groups, p = 0.225. p 0.225&gt; 0.05, hypothesis is rejected. The experimental group further increased its loyalty score by a pretest average of 125.85, the posttest rising to 130.25. The control group obtained a pretest average of 124.75, the posttest rising to 125.00. Self-development training affects loyalty improvement with pretest empirical mean experimental group 125,85, pretest control group 124,75, posttest experimental group 130,25, posttest control group 125,00. The empirical average value is greater than the hypothetical value (100) and the difference over the SD number is 11.440, 16.227, 5.447, 16.387.</em></p>

This research discussed how the use herringbone technique  to improve the students’ ability in reading. This research used quasi experimental design that applied a pre-test and post-test design. The data was analyzed by using t-test. The population of this research was the eight year students of SMP Negeri 9 Parepare in academic year 2013/2014. There were two classes, a class for experimental class and a class for control class. It utilized cluster random sampling technique. The number of each class was 30 students. The instrument used in this research was reading test use of herringbone technique in learning reading. The result of this research was a significant difference between experimental group and control group. This indicates the mean score of the post-test of experimental group was 97 while that of the control group was 92. Moreover, the t-test value (7,24) was higher than t-table value (2.021). In other words, Hypothesis Alternative (H1) was accepted and Hypothesis Null (H0) was rejected. This means that Using Herringbone technique can improve the students’ reading comprehension by using herringbone technique.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of teacher’ corrective feedback based on students reflective journal in the learning of dynamic fluids. The research method employed an experimental method with quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample of eleventh grade of public senior high school SMAN 8 Pontianak consist of the XI-4 class as experimental group and the XI-3 class as control group were drawn by using intact group random sampling technique. The achievement test consists of 25 multiple choice questions embracing factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge was administered. After manipulating the treatment, it is concluded that the average of achievement of experimental group (64.27) and control group (52.13) were significant difference (p &lt; 0.05). In addition, the extent of effectiveness of the treatment was in high category (ES = 1.02). The treatment should be provided to increase students’ learning outcomes of any teaching-learning materials.

Today found some students lack the ability to control himself in school. It is seen from the discovery of some students in violation of the norms and rules that have been established in schools deliberately. The aim of thus study reveals : (1) Differences in students’ self-control experimental group before and after treatment are given information service with the method of problem solving; (2) Differences in students’ self-control before and after control group without treatment given by the information service of problem solving methods; (3) Differences in students’ self-control experimental group were given treatment information services with methods of problem solving with students of control group without treatment given by the information service of problem solving methods. This research is a quantitative research approach Quasy-Experiment. Population in this research that the students MTsN Lubuk Buaya Padang and samples of this study were selected using simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires. (angket). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Independet Sample with the help of the program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) versi 20. The result of this research found that: (1) there are significant differences increase student self control before and after the service information by the method of problem solving in the expwrimental group, (2) there is no significant difference in the increase of self-control students in the control group, (3) there are significant differences increase self-control students in the expwerimental group and control group.

Aim: The present study is aimed to assess the effect of distraction therapy during venipuncture in reducing pain among 6-12 years children in the selected hospital at Bhubaneswar. Methods: The study was a double blind; Randomized control trial design was used and the formal consent was obtained from Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital and the investigator selected 182 samples using consecutive sampling technique and then randomized into experimental and control groups. The intervention group and the control were having 91 samples each. Measurement of pain experienced by the school going children was assessed with the help of Wong-Baker Faces Pain Scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Result: The mean pain score of children in experimental group was 2.571 and the standard deviation was 2.006. The p value in comparing the pain level of children in control and experimental group was <0.01, which was statistically significant at p<0.05 (confidence interval 95%) level indicating that there was significant difference in the post test level of pain between the experimental and control group. Conclusion: Hence the distraction therapy was responsive in reducing the vein-puncture pain among school going children.

This research aimed to see whether there is a difference between learning outcomes using cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament ( TGT ) with the learning outcomes using direct learning. This research is an experimental research, the researchpopulation is a class X student of the installation of Electric Power Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya TA 2013/2014 . The sampling technique was done by using nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling . The data collected from the test results in the form of learning objective questions about as many as 35 points . Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel to test homogeneity , normality , and hypothesis testing . From the results of research conducted tests on samples of both groups gained an average of learning outcomes for the experimental group the average value of the initial test was 49.1 and the average value of the final test is 81.8 with an increase of 32.7. For the control group the average value of the initial test was 52.2 and the average value of the final test is 72.2 with an increase of 20 . The results of the hypothesis by using Microsoft Excel found that tcount 5,960 > 1,671 ttable, so the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted or rejected the null hypothesis (H0). This means that the average significant learning outcomes experimental class higher than the average of the control class learning outcomes .
