The implementation of the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011 for the multimedia technology subject at Public High School in Baucau sub-district needs to be evaluated for maintaining the consistency of the curriculum objective achievements. This research aims to know the teachers’ readiness in implementing the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011. The aspects considered are official language competence, academic qualification, pedagogical competence, and professional competence. This research is a survey analysis using 7 respondents of multimedia technology teachers. The result of the research shows that the teachers at Public High School 01 and 02 in Baucau Sub-district are in the "high” category because the percentage of achievement from the four aspects is 91.71 % until 85%. The teachers’ readiness should be evaluated as the guidance or resource to increase the teachers' competence from the aspect of academic competence, teachers' qualifications, pedagogical competence, and professional competence to give the qualified output of the education.

This study aims to analyze the role of physics teacher pedagogical competencies in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SMA Negeri 5 Maros. Besides, to find out the factors that constrain and support the physics teacher's pedagogical competence in implementing the 2013 curriculum at SMA Negeri 5 Maros. To achieve this goal, research has been conducted with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were physics teachers at Maros 5 Public High School who had educator certificates. Research data collection using observation techniques, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique consisting of data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification. The results showed that the physics teacher's pedagogical competence at Maros 5 High School in applying the 2013 curriculum out of the seven aspects that had to be mastered, the teacher was able to master the four aspects that were by the Minister of Education Regulation No. 16 of 2007 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher Competencies. These inhibiting factors are less than optimal training on increasing competencies for teachers, and lack of time in preparing lesson plans. While the supporting factors of this research are the existence of MGMP which is a place to increase teacher professionalism and teaching materials in the form of curriculum books in 2013.

This study was conducted to find out the description of the evaluation of the performance of Unesa Labschool Junior High School Kawung teachers in terms of pedagogical and professional competencies. The method used is qualitative research because it aims to obtain in-depth data and information, so that the goal of knowing and evaluating teacher performance can be achieved. This type of research is an evaluative research, that is, research to look for gaps between real conditions and expectations as determined by existing standards.Subjects in this study were the principal, teachers and students of Unesa Labschool Junior High School Kawung.This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2019-2020 school year. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis technique used in this study was an interactive analysis model consisting of three components, namely data reduction, triangulation, data presentation and conclusion making. The results of this study indicate that teacher performance viewed from pedagogical competencies has generally run well and accorded to the academic qualifications and teacher’s competency standards set by the government. However, the weaknesses of teachers that are still very visible are in creativity in the application of learning both methods and strategies, or in making learning media to support teaching and learning activities. Furthermore, the use of technology is still low and most teachers still use conventional methods in teaching. Whereas teacher performance in terms of professional competence is still not in accordance with academic qualification standards and teacher competencies set by the government. There are still weaknesses in the development of creativity related to media or teaching aids that support learning. In addition, the low implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) serves to improve the professionalism of teachers themselves. And the last is the utilization of information and communication technology for personal development that has not been maximized.

The need conditions the relevance of the article for the formation of higher education teachers’ pedagogical competence as the optimal system and purposeful work in this direction has not yet been formed. The goal of the article lies in the analysis of the study of the theoretical aspects of higher education teachers’ pedagogical competence and identifying the main types of professional competence. The leading approach to the study of this problem for the authors was their understanding of the concept of "competence", the distinction between the concepts of “qualification” and “competence”, as well as an understanding of the essence of higher school teacher’s pedagogical competence. The article presents a scheme of competencies of a higher school teacher, a distinction between key, subject and professional competencies. Taking into account the results of this study, it is possible to identify several scientific problems and promising areas that require further consideration: in particular, the development of new training programs for teachers of higher education institutions.

This study aims to determine the relationship of teacher involvement in the Subject Teachers Association (MGMP), pedagogical and professional competencies of civic teachers with the learning outcomes of high school students in Malang. Data were analyzed descriptively using a correlational design. Hypothesis testing was done by analyzing the parametric correlation between the independent variables and the dependent variable partially. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between involvement in MGMP, pedagogical competence, and professional competence of civic teachers and the learning outcomes of high school students in Malang. All hypotheses show a significant relationship.

Abstract: Teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies are important to develop. In the 21st century teachers are required to build effective relationships with students and the school community by using technology to improve the quality of education. This study aims to 1) analyze the level of achievement of pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School 1 Hu'u. 2) Describe the obstacles in increasing the level of achievement of the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School1 Hu'u. 3) Efforts made in overcoming obstacles to increasing the achievement of pedagogical and professional competence of teachers in Junior High School 1 Hu'u. This research used a mix method approach (a combination of qualitative methods with quantitative methods) with the type of case study research. The research location is Junior High School 1 Hu'u, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Questionnaire data collection techniques, interviews, documentation, and observation. The information is the principal and thirty teachers who are used as primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques for data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and validity of the data. The results showed that 1) the level of pedagogical competence and professional competence of teachers at Junior High School 1 Hu'u was sufficient and sufficient to be called a professional teacher. 2) The obstacle faced by teachers in developing pedagogical and professional competencies is that there is diversity in the ability of teachers in the learning process and mastery of knowledge and many GTT teachers who have long taught at Junior High School 1 Hu'u have not received NUPTK. 3) Efforts are made to improve the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers, namely through teacher development training conducted every weekend such as KKG, MGMP activities.Keywords: Pedagogical Competence, Professional Competence, Achievement Abstrak: Kompetensi pedagogi dan profesional guru saat ini penting untuk dikembangkan.Pada abad 21 guru dituntut membangun hubungan yang efektif dengan siswa dan komunitas sekolah dengan menggunakan teknologi untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat ketercapain kompetensi pedagogi dan kompetensi profesional guru SMPN 1 Hu’u sudah memadai dan cukup syarat dikatakan sebagai guru profesional. Hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi pedagogi dan profesional yaitu adanya keberagaman kemampuan guru dalam proses pembelajaran dan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan danbanyak guru GTT yang sudah lama mengajar di SMPN 1 Hu’u belum mendapatkan NUPTK. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogi dan profesional guru yaitu dengan pelatihan pengembangan guru yang dilakukan setiap akhir pekan seperti kegiatan KKG, MGMP.Kata kunci: Kompetensi Pedagogi, Kompetensi Profesional, Ketercapaian

Supervisor of Islamic Education is one component that has an important role in improving the quality of education. The tasks of the supervisor of Islamic education is to improve the competence of Islamic education teachers in schools to produce quality and professional teachers. This study aims to determine what is the role of Islamic education supervisors in improving pedagogical competence and professional competence of Islamic education teachers in Private Junior High School in District of Sidoarjo, Sidoarjo. The researcher used a qualitative approach with collection data methods such as interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis method used an interactive model (plot) of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion or verification. From the results of the study it was found that the role of the supervisor of Islamic education in improving the pedagogical competence of Islamic Education teachers in Private Junior High School in District of Sidoarjo, Sidoarjo had been done well through several ways such as supervision in learning planning, ability in student learning processes and outcomes, ability to utilize resources learning, the ability to develop student potential. Whereas the role of the supervisor of Islamic education in enhancing the professional competence of Islamic Education teachers in Private Junior High School in District of Sidoarjo, Sidoarjo has been fulfilled through several ways, namely providing assistance for teachers in preparing RPP and monitoring of teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

The teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) in Toraja is influenced by the quality of teachers from elementary to university level. The Ministry of National Education in Indonesia has stipulated four competencies that should be mastered by teachers: pedagogical competence, professional competence, personal competence, and social competence. The professional competences of foreign language teachers include a knowledge of various aspects of language in English (linguistics, discourse, sociolinguistic and strategic) and mastery of oral and written English language. The purpose of this study is to identify the perceived level of professional competence of high school EFL teachers in Toraja. For this study, 31 high school EFL Teachers in Toraja were chosen randomly from both public and private schools. Data was collected from questionnaires administered in person and by e-mail. The descriptive statistical results of this research show that half of the teachers reported themselves to have only a fair level of professional competence. This suggests the need for in-service training or professional development activities for high school EFL teachers in this region in order to improve their competence and confidence in teaching English.

Abstract: This research aimed to map the Economics teachers' competence for vocational high school and senior high school level in Tabalong regency. This research was conducted through three strategic phases, namely (1) data collection, (2) analysis of data; and (3) the presentation of the results of data analysis (reporting) with the teachers as the research subjects. The data collection was conducted by survey method. The analysis of the data was carried out by descriptive quantitative and qualitative refering to Government Regulation No. 19 Year 2005 on National Education Standards and National Education Minister Regulation No. 16 of 2007 on Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher's Competency. The research result shows that the teachers of high school education showed the good numbers in which all the core components that include pedagogical competence, personal competence, professional competence and social competence have been understood and implemented. It also occurs to vocational level students that indicates a high category for the average competence of teachers in the area of Economics either urban or peri urban typology. This condition illustrates that vocational school teachers performed in good numbers and it means that all the core components have been understood and implemented. Key words: mapping,  Economics, teachers’ competence,  Abtsrak: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pemetaan kompetensi guru bidang mata pelajaran Ekonomi tingkat SMA dan SMK di Kabupaten Tabalong. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan strategis, yaitu (1) pengumpulan  data, (2) analisis data; dan (3) penyajian hasil analisis data (pelaporan) dengan subyek para guru mata pelajaran ekonomi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan mengacu pada Peraturan Pemerintah No. 19 Tahun 2005 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan dan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No. 16 Tahun 2007 tentang Standar Kualifikasi Akademik dan Kompetensi Guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tenaga pendidik satuan pendidikan SMA menunjukkan angka yang baik dimana seluruh komponen inti yang mencakup kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi profesional, dan kompetensi sosial telah dihayati dan dilaksanakan. Itu juga terjadi kepada tingkat SMK yang menunjukkan kategori tinggi untuk rata-rata kompetensi tenaga pendidik mata pelajaran Ekonomi baik pada wilayah tipologi urban maupun peri urban. Kondisi ini menggambarkan bahwa tenaga pendidik mata pelajaran Ekonomi SMK menunjukkan angka yang baik artinya seluruh komponen inti telah dihayati dan dilaksanakan. Kata kunci: pemetaan, mata pelajaran Ekonomi, kompetensi guru

AbstractThis study aimed to find out the influence level of subject teachers’ training and education for the improvement of madrasah teacher’s performance in Gorontalo. This study used a survey and quantitative research method. The result of this research showed that training and education implementation had influenced the madrasa teacher’s performance in Gorontalo. There was an increase in madrasa teacher's four competencies after they joined the training, which are pedagogical competence, personality competence, professional competence, and social competence. Respondents said that the trainers (widyaiswara) could explain the material substance well (score 4.4). The trainers have much understood and competent in the training aims and procedures. So, the academic qualification of the trainers is appropriating with their primary tasks by involving qualified and professional instructors. Nevertheless, some trainers were not mastering in presenting training material. Furthermore, the training materials are considering inadequate for the training participants. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan mata pelajaran terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru madrasah di Kota Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dan metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap guru madrasah di Kota Gorontalo, memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja guru. Pengaruh tersebut adalah guru memiliki peningkatan dalam kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi profesional, dan kompetensi sosial setelah mengikuti kediklatan. Responden menjelaskan bahwa widyaiswara mampu menyampaikan materi dengan baik dengan skor 4,4. Widyaiswara cukup memahami dan menguasai tujuan dan prosedur penyelenggaraan diklat sehingga kualifikasi akademik widyaiswara sesuai dengan tugas pokoknya dengan melibatkan instruktur yang kompeten dan profesional. Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa Widyaiswara dalam pelaksanaan diklat dianggap masih kurang memadai dalam membawakan materi. Selain itu, ketersediaan bahan ajar bagi peserta diklat dianggap masih kurang memadai.
