AbstractThis study aimed to find out the influence level of subject teachers’ training and education for the improvement of madrasah teacher’s performance in Gorontalo. This study used a survey and quantitative research method. The result of this research showed that training and education implementation had influenced the madrasa teacher’s performance in Gorontalo. There was an increase in madrasa teacher's four competencies after they joined the training, which are pedagogical competence, personality competence, professional competence, and social competence. Respondents said that the trainers (widyaiswara) could explain the material substance well (score 4.4). The trainers have much understood and competent in the training aims and procedures. So, the academic qualification of the trainers is appropriating with their primary tasks by involving qualified and professional instructors. Nevertheless, some trainers were not mastering in presenting training material. Furthermore, the training materials are considering inadequate for the training participants. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan mata pelajaran terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru madrasah di Kota Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dan metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap guru madrasah di Kota Gorontalo, memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja guru. Pengaruh tersebut adalah guru memiliki peningkatan dalam kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi profesional, dan kompetensi sosial setelah mengikuti kediklatan. Responden menjelaskan bahwa widyaiswara mampu menyampaikan materi dengan baik dengan skor 4,4. Widyaiswara cukup memahami dan menguasai tujuan dan prosedur penyelenggaraan diklat sehingga kualifikasi akademik widyaiswara sesuai dengan tugas pokoknya dengan melibatkan instruktur yang kompeten dan profesional. Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa Widyaiswara dalam pelaksanaan diklat dianggap masih kurang memadai dalam membawakan materi. Selain itu, ketersediaan bahan ajar bagi peserta diklat dianggap masih kurang memadai.

This research is based on the importance of the role of educators in optimizing student achievement in terms of knowledge or cognitive aspects, attitudes or affective aspects and skills or psychomotor aspects. Therefore, this study aims to describe the effect of increasing the competence of teachers on student achievement at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach according to the data and facts found in the field directly not the result of presumptions or assumptions. The research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman where in the odd semester the student achievement was mostly still below the average parallel score for class XI and XII. Based on that, this school tried to improve the competence of its teaching staff including pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence through training, habituation of positive things, deliberation and mentoring. Along with the increase in the competence of the teaching staff, it can be seen that student achievement in the even semester has also increased where students whose scores are above the average grade in class X increase by 7%, class XI increases by 12% and class XII increases by 11%. The conclusion of this study is that the improvement of the competence of the teaching staff includes pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence and professional competence are closely related to the improvement of student achievement.

This article aims to describe the profile of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Arabic Language Teachers in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the relevance of the academic qualifications of Arabic Language Teachers with Subjects taught in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri, and the competence of Arabic Language Teachers in terms of students' perspectives. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection techniques such as questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that when viewed from academic qualifications, Arabic teachers who already have PBA S1 academic qualifications had a percentage of 80% and other S1 academic qualifications of 20%. Referring to these data, the relevance of Arabic language science to subjects taught based on academic qualifications is 80:20. Whereas if the scientific relevance is reviewed from the professional certificate, Arabic teachers who have professional certificates as professional Arabic teachers are 60% and those that have not been certified are 40%. Based on students' perspectives, the competence of Arabic language teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Bangka Belitung Islands Province is as follows: Pedagogical Competence with a mean score of 2.64, Professional Competence of 3.00, Social Competence of 3.03, and Personality Competence of 3.04. The overall average score of the four competencies is 2.99 with the interpretation "Enough". Of the three madrasas that are the objects of research, teachers pedagogical competence is a major issue that needs teachers attention. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil guru bahasa Arab Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, relevansi kualifikasi akademik guru bahasa Arab dengan mata Pelajaran yang diampu di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri, serta kompetensi guru bahasa Arab ditinjau dari perspektif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jika ditinjau dari kualifikasi akademik, guru bahasa Arab yang sudah memiliki kualifikasi akademik S1 PBA memiliki prosentase sebesar 80% dan kualifikasi akademik S1 lainnya sebesar 20%. Mengacu kepada data tersebut relevansi keilmuan guru bahasa Arab dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu berdasarkan kualifikasi akademik sebesar 80:20. Sedangkan jika relevansi keilmuan ditinjau dari sertifikat pendidik, guru bahasa Arab yang memiliki sertifikat pendidik sebagai guru bahasa Arab profesional sebesar 60% dan yang belum tersertifikasi sebesar 40%. Berdasarkan perspektif  siswa kompetensi guru bahasa Arab di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung adalah sebagai berikut: rerata skor kompetensi pedagogik sebesar 2.64, rerata skor kompetensi profesional sebesar 3.00, kompetensi sosial memiliki rerata skor sebesar 3.03, dan rerata skor untuk kompetensi kepribadian sebesar 3.04. Rerata skor secara umum dari empat kompetensi tersebut adalah 2.99 dengan interpretasi “Cukup”. Dari ketiga madrasah yang menjadi obyek penelitian, kompetensi pedagogik guru menjadi persoalan utama yang perlu mendapat perhatian guru.

Research Objective to analyze how much influence pedagogic competence, professional competence on the performance of Public Middle Schools in Padang Pariaman Regency. Quantitative research uses data analysis using a regression correlation. The results of the study: (1) The effect of pedagogic competence on performance is 46,8%, (2) The influence of professional competence on performance is 50,3%. (3) There is a positive effect jointly between pedagogical competence and professional competence in teacher performance by 53%. Conclusion of the study: Pedagogic competence, professional competence influence teacher performance in Padang Pariaman Regency.

The implementation of the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011 for the multimedia technology subject at Public High School in Baucau sub-district needs to be evaluated for maintaining the consistency of the curriculum objective achievements. This research aims to know the teachers’ readiness in implementing the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011. The aspects considered are official language competence, academic qualification, pedagogical competence, and professional competence. This research is a survey analysis using 7 respondents of multimedia technology teachers. The result of the research shows that the teachers at Public High School 01 and 02 in Baucau Sub-district are in the "high” category because the percentage of achievement from the four aspects is 91.71 % until 85%. The teachers’ readiness should be evaluated as the guidance or resource to increase the teachers' competence from the aspect of academic competence, teachers' qualifications, pedagogical competence, and professional competence to give the qualified output of the education.

Student of mathematics education faculty teacher training and education Universitas Mataram must capable on schools mathematics as professional competence of teachers applicant. Fact show that comprehension  university student on mathematics are very extremely low, so that its important to find data about internal factor criteria that influence comprehension levels of school mathematics  University student of mathematics education teacher training and education faculty Universitas Mataram. So that conduct descriptive  quantitative research with University student of mathematics education on 2015 to 2019 as population and 214 student as sample chosen with cluster random sample. According to analist result of student attitude  toward mathematics have positive category with average 80,7, student interest toward mathematics have very extremely high category with average 64,9, student motivation achievement have very extremely high with average 112,9 and learning habit student have good category with average 58. The correlation among each factors student interest toward mathematicshave strong correlation with learning habit about 0,61, and others factor have medium correlation and attitude and learning habit have weak correlation. According to data about attitude, interest, motivation, and learning habit showen that positif think because research sample are university students of mathematics education teacher training and educations so that there are need to next research to find  any other factor influence low of mathematics student comprehension toward schools mathematics.

English In line with this, this research then aimed to evaluate the training programs and whether or not the trainings had effect on the teachers’ pedagogical competence. To collect the data, this study used a questionnaire and a test to measure the pedagogical competence. The questionnaire was distributed to 104 teachers at MORA Training Institute in Palembang. Some findings showed that the implementation of teachers’ training by the committee was in “good” category, but the aspect of curriculum and syllabus was in “not good” category; the trainers’ roles in the learning process was in “very good” category; the teachers’ pedagogical competence before and after the training significantly improved but the indicator of students’ potential development was in less good category. This study suggested that the curriculum designer should improve the quality of curriculum based on teachers’ needs and take into account the students’ potential development for the training materials. Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi program diklat guru madrasah dan dampaknya terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru, menggunakan metode studi kasus terhadap 104 guru pada Balai Diklat Keagamaan Palembang dengan instrumen kuisioner, test pengetahuan pedagogik dan observasi performa pedagogik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi diklat guru dari aspek penyelenggara dinilai baik namun salah satu indikatornya yaitu kualitas kurikulum dan silabus (kursil) dinilai kurang baik; implementasi diklat guru dari aspek widyaiswara dinilai sangat baik; kompetensi pedagogik guru pasca diklat dilihat dari praktik mengajar dinilai baik namun satu indikatornya yaitu pengembangan potensi peserta didik kurang baik dan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pedagogik guru pasca diklat seperti yang ditunjukkan pada uji T dari pre dan post test. Direkomendasikan pada para pengembang kurikulum diklat guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas kursil sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan memberikan penekanan substansi pengembangan potensi peserta didik dalam diklat-diklat teknis substantif pendidikan.

This study aims to provide information about the application of professional competence and pedagogical competence of students in the Department of Science education at the Faculty of teacher training and education at Cenderawasih University. This research is an evaluative study by applying a combination method (mixed method) between quantitative and qualitative data obtained through observation and assessment sheet documents (RPP 1 to 10). The results of this study indicate that the professional and pedagogical competencies have been owned by respondents (PPL students) but each competency has not been fully implemented by PPL students. The results of the analysis show that students who apply professional competence are only 44% or around 19 respondents out of 43 respondents while only pedagogical competencies are 51% or around 22 respondents.

This literature review study aims to address the current issues on English Teachers’ problems in their efforts to develop their professional and pedagogical competence, in Jambi Province, Indonesia. The critical review of relevant studies on the field of professional and pedagogical  competence of EFL teachers reveals that there are several topics related to the competences and skills that teachers should have to better improve their teaching practice. In this review, the researchers present what literatures suggested and recommended in the area of teachers’ professional and pedagogical competence and possible training that stakeholders might hold to improve the quality of  teachers teaching English both in junior and senior high schools in Indonesia. The relevant articles being reviewed were from Indonesian context as well as International context. This study hopefully can contribute to the betterment of teaching practice of English in Indonesian schools. The following topics are presented in order; teacher’s professional competence, teachers’ pedagogical competence. The domains and dimensions of English teachers’ competence, teachers’ training, and conclusion and suggestions.

The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of students of Economic Education Study Program FKIP Unpatti on lecturer professionalism based on the Law of Teachers and Lecturers No. 14 of 2005. This research is a descriptive quantitative research by using survey method. The data collected is primary data that obtained directly by the researcher, which is the answer to the questionnaire distributed directly to the respondents. The population of this study is all students active S-1 Economic Education academic year 2016/2017 class of 2014 consisting of 112 people. The sample in this research is taken by using Random or Probability Sampling method with Stratified Random Sampling technique. The number of samples taken using Slovin formula with a significant level of α 5%, so the total sample is 88.  The results of this study indicate that the general perceptions of students on the professionalism of lecturers of Economic Education Program FKIP- Unpatti is very good. This is seen from the results of respondents' answers to the questionnaires distributed. The result of the calculation shows that the lecturer's academic qualification 84.1% students have very good perception, 13,6% have good perception, and 2,3% have enough perception. On Pedagogic competence as much as 35,2% student have very good perception, 62,5% student have good perception and 2,3% student have enough perception. On Professional competence as much as 68.2% students have very good perception, 30.7% have good perception, and 1.1% of students have enough perception. On Personality competence as much as 33.0% of students have a very good perception, 65.9% of students have good perception and 1.1% of students have enough perception. On Social competence, 56.42% of students have very good perception, and 43.18% of students have good perception.

Learning activities are planned educational activities to gain knowledge and insight, and it can change a person's behavior toward maturity. Learning also processes that affect the understanding of the value that predispose a person to think, act and behave. Biology lesson that SMA 12 Banda Aceh is not maximized penerapaan pedagogical competence and professional competence in accordance learning Permendiknas No. 16 of 2007 on Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher Competence part B is to develop teaching materials. Then the teaching materials are not in accordance with the level of experience and ability of the students' characteristics has reduced student motivation. One way to improve students 'motivation to increase interest in learning, can be done by providing teaching materials in accordance with the level of experience and ability of the students' characteristics.
