Informal science learning (ISL) has shown a considerable amount of recognition to the enrichment of science learning. The purpose of this study is to investigate one form of ISL that is on-stage shows also known as science shows to enhance students’ achievement on fire and pressure science concepts and to investigate whether science shows could engage students in science learning. Two science shows were conducted in this study with demonstration characteristics identified as CHAMP merged with the science content development framework for science shows practised by OGDC. In the attempt to identify whether the students learning achievement on fire and pressure science concept were enhanced, experimental design research consisting of a quantitative approach using pretest and posttest achievement tests were utilized. It is followed by BERI protocol to measure the behavioral engagement of students on science show and qualitative approach using structured interviews to elicit students’ insights on the shows. Pretest and posttest scores of the participating students were obtained and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranked test. The test revealed a statistically significant increase in scores following participation in the pressure and fire shows, Z= -3.562, p <.001, with a large effect size (r = 0.611) and Z= -3.624, p <.001, with a large effect size (r = 0.622) respectively. Structured interview transcripts (transcribed verbatim) were obtained from six selected students that participated in the experiment whereby two themes were derived, namely; knowledge gained by students and delivery of science show. The statistical and qualitative findings from the study indicated promising evidence that science shows do support students’ achievement on fire and pressure concepts as well as engaging them in learning science.

The aim of this research is to develop some concepts of web3 for the education technology specialist, to present a proposed training program for web3 technology, to define the concepts and technology of web3. There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of education technology specialists in the pre and post applications to test the web3.0 concepts in favor of the post application. In light of the significance of the differences using the "T" tests, the square of ETA (2η) was calculated using the equation Eta square (2 η) to find the magnitude of the effect of the independent variable (training program) in the dependent variable (development of web3.0 concepts), and by calculating the value of the square of ETA (2)) (Al-Amiri, 2006, 233), reached (0.98), which indicates that the training program has a significant impact on the acquisition of some concepts of web3.0, where this value shows that the training program contributed (98%) of the total variance In developing these concepts,It is a large percentage indicating the effectiveness of the training program in developing web3.0 concepts for the target research sample, which is the education technology specialist (if the effect size = 0.2 is the effect is weak, and if the impact size = 0.5, the effect is moderate, and if the impact size is = 0.8 The effect is significant), (Asr, 2003). From the above it is clear that the training program contributed to the development of the targeted web3.0 concepts for education technology specialists, as it found a difference between the median of the pre and post applications to test the concepts of the web3.0 in favor of the post application at the research group, which averaged (51,85) compared to (16) , 75) for pre-application, with a large effect size of (0.98) according to the ETA square measure (2η) of the effect size.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has been associated with changes in psychophysiological and neuroendocrinal parameters. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is considered the treatment of choice for PTSD and is able to regularize altered neurobiological parameters; however, little is known about its effects on these parameters when measured during the therapeutic process. This pilot study aimed to evaluate the impact of CBT on cortisol and cardiac parameters measured at rest during the treatment of PTSD with comorbid major depression. 14 patients were randomized to four months of CBT or a waiting list. As expected, the experimental group had a greater reduction in PTSD symptoms and a large effect size. There was a reduction in the low frequency component of heart rate variability, which achieved borderline statistical significance and a large effect size. Salivary cortisol tended to track the progress of therapy, rising in the period of exposure and decreasing by the end of treatment. Despite the small sample size, this study opens the way for further research into the impact of CBT on the different biological markers of PTSD during the therapeutic process. This can hopefully help to optimize and personalize therapeutic studies while providing clues about modifications in bio behavioral pathological manifestations.

This study, it was aimed to determine the motivation of students to learn science according to learning styles and the effect of differentiated teaching practices on their opinions. A mixed research design consisting of a preliminary post test-tekrar test model with a control group and a qualitative data combination was used. The survey was conducted on 4th-grade students. 63 students, 30 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group, constituted the study group. The data were collected using the “Motivation Scale for Science Learning” and the “semi-structured interview form.” As a result of non-working findings, it is concluded that differentiated teaching practices according to learning styles are more effective for students’ motivation towards science learning than traditional teaching methods and that teaching-oriented student views support differentiated teaching practices.

Background The management and comprehension of business process models are of utmost importance for almost any enterprise. To foster the comprehension of such models, this paper has incorporated the idea of a serious game called Tales of Knightly Process. Objective This study aimed to investigate whether the serious game has a positive, immediate, and follow-up impact on process model comprehension. Methods A total of two studies with 81 and 64 participants each were conducted. Within the two studies, participants were assigned to a game group and a control group (ie, study 1), and a follow-up game group and a follow-up control group (ie, study 2). A total of four weeks separated study 1 and study 2. In both studies, participants had to answer ten comprehension questions on five different process models. Note that, in study 1, participants in the game group played the serious game before they answered the comprehension questions to evaluate the impact of the game on process model comprehension. Results In study 1, inferential statistics (analysis of variance) revealed that participants in the game group showed a better immediate performance compared to control group participants (P<.001). A Hedges g of 0.77 also indicated a medium to large effect size. In study 2, follow-up game group participants showed a better performance compared to participants from the follow-up control group (P=.01); here, a Hedges g of 0.82 implied a large effect size. Finally, in both studies, analyses indicated that complex process models are more difficult to comprehend (study 1: P<.001; study 2: P<.001). Conclusions Participants who played the serious game showed better performance in the comprehension of process models when comparing both studies.

The primary goal of Project M2 was to develop and field–test challenging geometry and measurement units for all K—2 students. This article reports on the achievement results for students in Grade 2 at 12 urban and suburban sites in 4 states using the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS) mathematics concepts subtest and an open–response assessment. Hierarchical linear modeling indicated no significant differences between the experimental (n = 193) and comparison group (n = 192) on the ITBS (84% of items focused on number); thus, mathematics concepts were not negatively impacted by this 12–week study of geometry and measurement. Statistically significant differences (p < .001) with a large effect size (d = 0.89) favored the experimental group on the open–response assessment. Thus, the experimental group exhibited a deeper understanding of geometry and measurement concepts as measured by the open–response assessment while still performing as well on a traditional measure covering all mathematics content.

<p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstract:          </strong>The purpose of this research is to improve student's learning achievement with web-based E-Learning media in grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen. This research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK) with satusiklus. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The subject of this research is the students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen semester of the academic year 2016/2017, with the number of students 32 students. Instrument of data collecting in this research is observation sheet, student response questionnaire sheet to learning, pre test pre test and post test to measure student achievement improvement. Sample selection technique in this research is cluster random sampling. The results showed the average value of student achievement improvement cycle 1 and cycle 2 which is expressed with the average N-Gain has increased with the acquisition in cycle 1 of 43.00 which is categorized and increased in cycle 2 of 72.56 are categorized being . As for the size of the impact or Effect Size in learning process shows the average value of student achievement increase from cycle 1 and cycle 2 to get the effect large 0.841 categorized effect. Based on the results of research conducted to prove that web-based E-Learning learning media can improve learning achievement as well as provide a great impact for students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen. These findings provide new insight into the role of teachers and the different student control dimensions in E-Learning with implications for learning processes and improved learning achievement. Given E-Learning has been widely used in various kinds of other learning facilities, which is able to attract the attention of its users to be more innovative and creative.</p><p class="KeywordsEngish"> </p><p class="AbstrakIndonesia"><strong>Abstrak<em>:</em> </strong>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan media pembelajaran <em>E-Learning </em>berbasis <em>web</em> pada siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan satusiklus. Setiap siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017, dengan jumlah siswa 32 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi, lembar angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran,tes pilihan ganda <em>pre test</em> dan <em>post test </em>untuk mengukur peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Teknik pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah <em>cluster random sampling</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa siklus 1 dan siklus 2 yang dinyatakan dengan rata-rata <em>N-Gain</em> mengalami peningkatan dengan perolehan pada siklus 1 sebesar 43,00yang dikategorikan sedang dan meningkat pada siklus 2 sebesar 72,56 yang dikategorikan sedang. Sedangkan untuk ukuran dampak atau <em>Effect Size</em>dalam proses pembelajaran menunjukkan nilai rata-rata peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa dari siklus 1 dan siklus 2 memperoleh nilai <em>Effect Size</em> sebesar 0,841 yang dikategorikan besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran <em>E-Learning</em> berbasis <em>web</em> dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar sekaligus memberikan dampak yang besar bagi siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Sambirejo Sragen. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang peran guru dan dimensi kontrol pelajar yang berbeda dalam <em>E-Learning</em> dengan implikasi untuk proses pembelajaran dan peningkatan prestasi belajar. Mengingat <em>E-Learning </em>sudah banyak dimanfaatkan diberbagai macam fasilitas pembelajaran yang lain, yang mampu menarik perhatian penggunanya untuk lebih inovatif dan kreatif.</p>

Obtaining dietetic licensure in Ontario requires completion of a Dietitians of Canada (DC) accredited four-year undergraduate degree in nutrition and an accredited post-graduate internship or combined Master’s degree program. Given the scarcity of internship positions in Ontario, each year approximately two-thirds of the eligible applicants who apply do not receive a position XX, XX, XX, XX, XX, XX, in press). Anecdotally, not securing an internship position is known to be a particularly disconcerting experience that has significant consequences for individuals’ personal, financial, and professional well-being. However, no known empirical research has yet explored students’ experiences of being unsuccessful in applying for internship positions. Fifteen individuals who applied between 2005 and 2009 to an Ontario-based dietetic internship program, but were unsuccessful at least once, participated in a one-on-one semi-structured interview. Findings reveal that participants’ experiences unfold successively in four phases that are characterized by increasingly heightened emotional peril: naïveté, competition, devastation, and frustration. The authors conclude that the current model of dietetic education and training in Ontario causes lasting distress to students and hinders the future growth and vitality of the dietetic profession. Further research is required to understand the impact of the current model on dietetic educators, internship coordinators, and preceptors as coincident participants in the internship application process.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that caffeine supplementation (6 mg·kg-1 body mass) for 4-days, followed by acute intake, would impact five male triathletes output power after performed submaximal intensity exercise. Methods: This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study, placebo (4-day) - placebo (acute) PP, placebo (4-days) -caffeine (acute) PC, and caffeine (4-day) - caffeine (acute) CC. Participants abstained from dietary caffeine sources for 4 days and ingested capsules containing either placebo or caffeine (6 mg.kg-1 body mass day in one absorption). The acute trials the capsules containing placebo or caffeine (6 mg.kg-1 body mass day in one absorption) were ingested 60min before completing exercise in a treadmill for 40min (80% VO2max) and to perform the Wingate test. Results: Blood lactate was determined before, 60min after ingestion, and immediately after the exercise on the treadmill, the Wingate test, and after the recovery (10-min). CC and PC trials did not change the cardiopulmonary variables (P>0.05) and the anaerobic power variables (peak/mean power output and fatigue index) (P>0.05). The PC trial compared with PP promoted improvements in the curve power output in 2 sec by 31.19% (large effect-size d = 1.08; P<0.05) and 3 sec by 20% (large effect-size d = 1.19; P<0.05). A 10min recovery was not sufficient to reduce blood lactate concentration in the PC trial compared with PP (PC, 13.73±2.66 vs. PP, 10.26±1.60 mmol.L-1; P<0.05, respectively) (P<0.05). Conclusion: In conclusion, these results indicate that caffeine supplementation (6 mg·kg-1 body mass) for 4 days, followed by acute ingestion, did not impact the triathletes output power after performed submaximal intensity exercise. Nutritional interventions may help researchers and athletes to adapt strategies for manipulating caffeine use.Key-words: caffeine metabolism, Wingate test, blood lactate, performance.

The current article of Uttar Pradesh (UP) is about the ASHAs who are the daughters-in-law of a family that resides in the same community that they serve as the grassroots health worker since 2005 when the NRHM was introduced in the Empowered Action Group (EAG) states. UP is one such Empowered Action Group (EAG) state. The current study explores the actual responses of Recently Delivered Women (RDW) on their visits during the first month of their recent delivery. From the catchment area of each of the 250 ASHAs, two RDWs were selected who had a child in the age group of 3 to 6 months during the survey. The response profiles of the RDWs on the post- delivery first month visits are dwelled upon to evolve a picture representing the entire state of UP. The relevance of the study assumes significance as detailed data on the modalities of postnatal visits are available but not exclusively for the first month period of their recent delivery. The details of the post-delivery first month period related visits are not available even in large scale surveys like National Family Health Survey 4 done in 2015-16. The current study gives an insight in to these visits with a five-point approach i.e. type of personnel doing the visit, frequency of the visits, visits done in a particular week from among those four weeks separately for the three visits separately. The current study is basically regarding the summary of this Penta approach for the post- delivery one-month period.     The first month period after each delivery deals with 70% of the time of the postnatal period & the entire neonatal period. Therefore, it does impact the Maternal Mortality Rate & Ratio (MMR) & the Neonatal Mortality Rates (NMR) in India and especially in UP through the unsafe Maternal & Neonatal practices in the first month period after delivery. The current MM Rate of UP is 20.1 & MM Ratio is 216 whereas the MM ratio is 122 in India (SRS, 2019). The Sample Registration System (SRS) report also mentions that the Life Time Risk (LTR) of a woman in pregnancy is 0.7% which is the highest in the nation (SRS, 2019). This means it is very risky to give birth in UP in comparison to other regions in the country (SRS, 2019). This risk is at the peak in the first month period after each delivery. Similarly, the current NMR in India is 23 per 1000 livebirths (UNIGME,2018). As NMR data is not available separately for states, the national level data also hold good for the states and that’s how for the state of UP as well. These mortalities are the impact indicators and such indicators can be reduced through long drawn processes that includes effective and timely visits to RDWs especially in the first month period after delivery. This would help in making their post-natal & neonatal stage safe. This is the area of post-delivery first month visit profile detailing that the current article helps in popping out in relation to the recent delivery of the respondents.   A total of four districts of Uttar Pradesh were selected purposively for the study and the data collection was conducted in the villages of the respective districts with the help of a pre-tested structured interview schedule with both close-ended and open-ended questions.  The current article deals with five close ended questions with options, two for the type of personnel & frequency while the other three are for each of the three visits in the first month after the recent delivery of respondents. In addition, in-depth interviews were also conducted amongst the RDWs and a total 500 respondents had participated in the study.   Among the districts related to this article, the results showed that ASHA was the type of personnel who did the majority of visits in all the four districts. On the other hand, 25-40% of RDWs in all the 4 districts replied that they did not receive any visit within the first month of their recent delivery. Regarding frequency, most of the RDWs in all the 4 districts received 1-2 times visits by ASHAs.   Regarding the first visit, it was found that the ASHAs of Barabanki and Gonda visited less percentage of RDWs in the first week after delivery. Similarly, the second visit revealed that about 1.2% RDWs in Banda district could not recall about the visit. Further on the second visit, the RDWs responded that most of them in 3 districts except Gonda district did receive the second postnatal visit in 7-15 days after their recent delivery. Less than half of RDWs in Barabanki district & just more than half of RDWs in Gonda district received the third visit in 15-21 days period after delivery. For the same period, the majority of RDWs in the rest two districts responded that they had been entertained through a home visit.
