Aim. Enhancing the quality and improving the technological process of mixing feeds using the new con- struction of the mixer and substantiating its rational parameters. Methods. Mathematical modeling theories, fundamentals of using machinery in animal breeding. Results. The estimated model of the functioning of a constructive-technological scheme of a composite mixer and the mathematical model of the dynamic interac- tion of mixer paddles and the solid mass of feeds were elaborated. It was established that the technological effi ciency of preparing the homogeneous mixture depends on physical and mechanic properties of its compo- nents, the impact and interaction between the form and geometric parameters of the attacking surface of the paddles, the slope angle, the setting increment and working modes of the mixer. Conclusions. The results of the studies confi rm the possibility of enhancing the effi ciency of the technology of preparing completely balanced feeding mixtures for cattle via the intensifi cation of the mixing process using the construction of the composite belt-paddle mixer, the elaboration of theoretical fundamentals of the interaction of feed components with the working bodies and substantiating their main constructive and technological parameters.

It is necessary to develop quantitative methods to assess the formation of thermal burns in the morphological parts of coniferous trees. The purpose of the study can be formulated as follows: mathematical modeling of heat transfer in the layered structure of a coniferous tree branch under the influence of a forest fire front. The heat propagation in the “branch-needles-flame zone” system is described by a system of non-stationary differential equations of heat conduction with the corresponding initial and boundary conditions. As an object of research, a digital model of a branch of a coniferous tree for various species, namely, pine, larch and fir, was used. Temperature distributions are obtained for different variants of the branch structure and conditions of the impact of the forest fire front. Conclusions are made about the need for further modernization of the mathematical model. The developed model is the basis for creating software tools for specialized geographic information systems.

This paper presents the experiment-based mathematical modelling of fluidized bed carbonitriding process for 1C 25 steel meant to optimize this type of thermochemical processing.Based on experimental results, the mathematical model was developed, which is a second order equation with three unknown terms (parameters): temperature, depth of carbonitrided layer, the percentage of ammonia. The mathematical model allowed the simulation of the fluidized layer carbonitriding process according to its parameters and the thermal energy optimization for obtaining HV hardness values in the range 300-400 MPa.Using the software package Matlab a graphical interface was done, through which all the combinations of technological parameters of the carbonitriding process are determined, leading to obtaining values of microhardness between 300 and 400 MPa, as well as the amount of energy consumed for each variant. The variant consuming the lowest energy is considered optimal.

The article gives the results of the experimental researches of the bond between steel and high strength concrete. According to these results the mathematical model was built to define the boundary stresses of the bond between steel and concrete on their contact surface. The analysis of the impact of the specific factors on the boundary stresses of the bond between steel and concrete was carried out.

The purpose of this work is the experimental investigation and the mathematical modeling of the impact force behavior in a vibro-impact system, where an impact pendulum is mounted on a cart that moves with a prescribed displacement. The dynamics of the system will be evaluated considering different excitation frequencies and changing the impact gap. Experimental data are used to validate the mathematical model. The mathematical model allows a detailed nonlinear analysis, showing the rich response of the system, which includes dynamical jumps, bifurcations and chaos. In impact systems, discrepancies between numerical results and experimental measurements are common due to the difficulty in describing all factors that influence the resulting impact force profile. The use of wires to suspend the impacting body has the purpose to limit these uncertainties.

The purpose of the research is to identify effi cient microfertilizers and growth stimulants considering biologi- cal features of new corn hybrids of different FAO groups under irrigation conditions in the South of Ukraine and trace their impact on grain productivity of the plants. The methods of the research are the fi eld method – to study the interaction of the research object with experimental factors of the natural environment, to register the yield and evaluate the biometrical indices; the laboratory method – to measure soil moisture, grain moisture content and grain quality indices; the statistical method – to evaluate the reliability of the obtained results; the calculation methods – for economic and energetic assessment of the growing techniques used. The results of the research. The paper defi nes the impact of microfertilizers and growth stimulants on the yield and grain quality of the corn hybrids of different maturity groups and on the economic effi ciency of growing them. The conclusions of the research. Under irrigation conditions of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine it is recommended that the following hybrids should be grown in dark-chestnut soils: early maturity DN Pyvykha, medium-early Skadovskyi, medium maturity Kakhovskyi and medium-late Arabat, using the growth stimulants – treating the seeds with Sezam-Nano and fertilizing with Grainactive at the stage of 7–8 leaves.

The roller and sieve machines most commonly used in Russia for the post-harvest processing of root and tuber crops and onions have a number of disadvantages, the main one being a decrease in the quality of sorting due to the contamination of working bodies, which increases the quantity of losses during sorting and storage. To obtain high-quality competitive production, it is necessary to combine a number of technological operations during the sorting process, such as dividing the material into classes and fractions by quality and size, as well as identifying and removing damaged products. In order to improve the quality of sorting of root tubers and onions by size, it is necessary to ensure the development of an automatic control system for operating and technological parameters, the use of which will eliminate manual sorting on bulkhead tables in post-harvest processing. To fulfill these conditions, the developed automatic control system must have the ability to identify the material on the sorting surface, taking into account external damage and ensuring the automatic removal of impurities. In this study, the highest sorting accuracy of tubers (of more than 91%) was achieved with a forward speed of 1.2 m/s for the conveyor of the sorting table, with damage to 2.2% of the tubers, which meets the agrotechnical requirements for post-harvest processing. This feature distinguishes the developed device from similar ones.
