Background: More than 30 times earthquake occurred in Indonesia in the periode 2016-2017 and 23 times occurred in 2018. It made people more anxious. This is also a warning of the coming of the doom which is explained in several verses of the Qur'an. One of them is surah al-Insyiqaq. Understanding the meaning of this surah is expected to increase anxiety or feelings of surrender. These emotions can affect brain activity and can be recorded withElectroencephalography (EEG). To date, there has been no specific study of alpha wave activity when surah al-Insyiqaq is played between groups who understand the meaning of the surah and those who do not understand. Objective: Comparing the alpha brain wave activity during listening surah al-Insyiqaq in the control group and the treatment group.Method: This research is a study using experimental methods conducted on 20 subjects using simple random sampling. Subject were divided into two groups, the control group, and the treatment group. The treatment group was given a booklet, video and lecture about the contents of the surah. Brain wave activity was measured before and after the intervention using EEG during the subject listens to murottal of the surah. Results: There is a significant difference in understanding the meaning of Surat al-Insyiqaq between the results of the post test control group and the treatment group that was previously given the intervention (p=0,041). The significance value of the difference in alpha wave activity in the two groups was performed using the Independent t test and obtained p = 0.033.Conclusion: Understanding surah al-Insyiqaq creates a feeling of calm and surrender to God. This can lead to greater alpha brain wave activity when listening to surah al-Insyiqaq than those who are not given an understanding of the meaning of surah al-Insyiqaq.

Dental healthcare is very important since dental and oral hygiene should be maintained. Statistics showed that more than 80% of children in developed and developing countries suffer from dental disease. This study aimed to see the safety of OHIS (Oral Hygiene Index Simplified) in primary school students who got and did not get little dentist cadre training in Bangli Regency in 2019. The study was done in an experimental design: pre and post-test with control design, which was conducted in August-September 2019. The sample in this study is 366 students. The difference in OHIS scores before and after treatment in the control group and treatment group was carried out by the bivariate Mann Whitney U Test. The results of the study showed that before dental health training was conducted, there were 54.3% of primary school students in the treatment group with good OHIS score criteria, and after the training was carried out as many as 98.4% of the students in the treatment group had a good OHIS. Additionally, prior to the training, 57.5% of the control group had fair OHIS criteria score. Then, after the training was carried out, 73.7% of the control group had good OHIS score. Hence, the study concluded that there was a significant difference in the OHIS of primary school students who got little doctor training prior to and after the training. Also, there was a significant difference in the OHIS of the students who did not get such treatment before and after the training.

Playing games for too long can be addictive. Based on a recent study by Brand et al, adolescents are considered more vulnerable than adults to game addiction. The activity of playing games produces a wave in the brain, namely beta waves where the person is in a focused state. Brain wave activity can be measured and captured using an Electroencephalogram (EEG). Recording brain wave activity naturally requires a prominent and constant brain activity such as when concentrating while playing a game. This study aims to detect game addiction in late adolescence by applying Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Recording of brain waves was carried out three times for each respondent with a stimulus to play three different games, namely games included in the easy, medium, and hard categories with a consecutive taking time of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes. Data acquisition results are feature extraction using Fast Fourier Transform to get the average signal for each respondent. Based on the research conducted, obtained an accuracy of 86% with a loss of 0.2771 where the smaller the loss value, the better the CNN model built. The test results on the model produce an overall accuracy of 88% with misclassification in 1 data. The CNN model built is good enough for the detection of game addiction in late adolescence.

The brain wave activity of a professional Salpuri dancer was observed while the subject recalled her performance of the Salpuri dance when sitting in a chair with closed eyes. As she recalled the feeling of the ecstatic trance state induced by the dance, an increase in alpha brain activity was observed together with marked frontal midline theta activity. Compared to a resting state, the dynamics of the electrical activity in the brain showed an increase in the global field power integral and a decrease in generalized frequency and spatial complexity.

Aim.To determine one traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)Nao-Xue-Shuoral liquid which protects and improves secondary brain insults (SBI) in hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage (HCH).Methods.158 patients with HCH were divided into routine clinical medicine plusNao-Xue-Shuoral liquid (n=78) as treatment group, and routine clinical medicine (n=80) only served as the control group. The incidence of SBI and the classification of a favorable prognosis and a bad prognosis using the Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) were assessed to evaluate the clinical effects. The changes of IL-6 and TNF-αlevels were determined to study the mechanism of the effects for the TCM.Results.The incidence of SBI at the end of week 2 was 8.97% in the treatment group and 23.75% in the control group, and the difference was significant (P<0.001). The incidence of a favorable prognosis was 48.72% in the treatment group and 32.72% in the control group, and the difference was significant (P<0.01) at the end of week 2. These findings indicate clear differences for IL-6 and TNF-αat the end of week 1 and week 2 compared with before treatment for the treatment group and a marked difference at the end of week 2 between the two groups. It also shows a significant difference between the end of week 2 and before treatment for IL-6 and TNF-αfor the control group, although the difference was much smaller than the treatment group.Conclusion. Nao-Xue-Shuoral liquid could protect against the occurrence of SBI and improve HCH and SBI patients. It may also decrease the damage and the mass effects of the hematoma by reducing IL-6 and TNF-αto obtain the effects, and thus it is a potentially suitable drug for HCH and SBI.

Abstract Background Ligaments injury and anterior knee pain is the most common problem in the knee joint. In practice, there are various interventions for the treatment of patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). Kinesio taping is one of them, but little literature is available on the immediate effects of treating this problem. Methodology From June to September 2017, a randomized control study was conducted at the Army Sports Complex GHQ Rawalpindi to determine the effectiveness of Kinesio Taping (KT) in patellofemoral pain syndrome in athletes. Data were collected from 48 athletes who fully met the inclusion criteria and were randomly divided into 2 groups. The data collection tool was Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), Kujala PFPS Score, and self-structured Questionnaire. The data was analyzed on SPSS 21. Results The overall mean age was 22.7±3.0. The immediate effects showed improved NPRS in both groups; in the control group the NPRS pre 1st visit mean was 5.36±1.2 and post 1st visit mean was 4.68±1.3 with the difference of 0.68±0.1 having p value p<0.001. In the treatment group the NPRS pre 1st visit mean was 5.90±1.2 and post 1st visit mean was 5.00±1.0 with the difference of 0.90±0.1 having p value p<0.001. Conclusion This study shows immediate effects of Kinesio-Taping, however there was not any significant difference between both groups but the treatment group performed well after the sessions.
