Traditional Islamic thought in general provides limited role of women as wives and mothers. Based on the view of classical Islamic texts and literature are still seen that women are still marginalized, or in other words, women are still under the domination of men. Therefore, women need to construct a discourse or text at will. It is undeniable that the interpretation of the classical scholars on the concept of equality of men and women from the perspective of today may well be judged as biased. For interpretations of the past can not be released to the socio-historical context of the time. Departing from the problems mentioned above then this article would like to see and analyze how the concepts offered and presented Islam in view of gender equality between men and women starting from the concept of gender so that the concept of gender bias by sex.Selanjutnyan followed by a discussion of the word gender mufrodat in the Qur'an and concludes with the interpretation of the discourse of gender equality. Since the 20th century with the birth of feminism, gender studies have undergone analysis in many areas of knowledge. Special attention has been paid to the theory of androcentricity in the English language and the deficiency of female images in speech. In this article, the images of men and women presented by English proverbs and anti-proverbs are analyzed. The objective of this research is to find out if proverbs are androcentric and present male mindsets and world views. The other aim is to check whether anti-proverbs reflect the changing role of women in society. To fulfill these purposes, proverbs with gender components (man/woman, wife/husband, he/she etс.) were selected and underwent a semantic analysis. In order to reveal the evolution of the images of men and women we compared the images of men and women illustrated in proverbs with those shown in anti-proverbs with the same gender components. As a result, we came to the conclusion that both proverbs and anti-proverbs are androcentric; however, in anti-proverbs female opinions are more representative when compared to proverbs. To sum up, it is obvious that the role of women is changing and the changes are reflected in the language. The title of this paper is "the change in the role of women in ptpn vii sugar factory in Cinta manis ogan ilir district" The focus of this research is to explain the changes in the function and role of women in the Cinta Manis sugar factory, in line with changes in village conditions that occur due to changes from the agricultural to industrial areas. The focus of this research also wants to see and explain where the function of women is like and about the role of women laborers who perform two roles at once, namely in the domestic and public sectors as well as power relations between men and women in industrial societies in the sweet love sugar factory. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. This research source is primary data taken directly from the field through interviews with informants from women felling laborers. Secondary data obtained from documentation, books or journals. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews and documentation.                The results obtained in this study are the first, Ketiau Village before the entry of the Cinta Manis sugar factory, the community's work in this village is a farmer and trader, but more dominant farmers. After the entry of the sugar factory in this village also experienced changes in terms of livelihoods, many people who worked as employees or as factory workers, who worked in the factory and even then not only from the Ketiau area but from outside the area also many who worked at the company. Second, there are many women in this factory who work as sugar cane cutting laborers. What makes women come to work is by economic factors, because if you rely on your husband alone can not meet their needs. The role of the fostering also changed, which usually played the role of a housewife but now works, women workers in the factory must perform two roles at the same time. Third, women only live and obey what has been determined by culture. Culture that distinguishes the roles of men and women. Clearly this culture has assumed a man's position higher than a woman's. The culture referred to here is patriarchal culture, patriarchal culture is defined as a dominant culture that is male, or the ruling is male, as in terms of earning a living a man not a woman. But in PTPN VII Sugar Factory, this culture is no longer valid because at this time everything has changed, the views or thoughts of a person have developed, in terms of earning a living not only a man can but a woman can also make a living, like as well as female slave laborers in the Cinta Manis Sugar Factory.

It triggers the raising of issues related to male and female relationships, such as injustice, subordination, discrimination, and marginalization. Therefore, the author believes that it is necessary to reinterpret the verses and the interpretation model which tend to marginalize the role of women. In this article, the author explains how the interpretation of Q.S an-Nisa`verse 34 contextually reinterpret the relation of men and women. The author focuses on gender studies and relates them to the concept of male and female equality with descriptive-analytical methods.]

The Bahá’í teachings simultaneously assert the equality of men and women while advocating in some cases distinct duties according to gender. Since the Bahá’í Faith also teaches that religious convictions should be examined by the “standards of science,” this ostensible paradox invites careful study. At the heart of the response to this query is the Universal House of Justice statement that “equality between men and women does not, indeed physiologically it cannot, mean identity of functions.” To appreciate and to accept this thesis that there can be gender distinction, even insofar as the assignment of fundamental tasks is concerned, without any attendant diminution in the role of women, we must turn to statements in the Bahá’í writings about the complementary relationship between men and women. Through a careful consideration of this principle, we can discover how there can indeed be gender distinction without inequality in status or function.

Research on the relation of gender in Islamic Jurisprudence field always sparks the interest to study because of several things: the idea of power relations which has been touted as a thought that subordinates the role of women in their dynamic movements. Second, the role of the text of the Holy Qur'an in seeing and explaining gender relations in Islam, specifically when influencing or influenced by local culture. The main research question to be revealed is: how does the concept developed in Islamic Jurisprudence schools interpret the relations of men and women? The theoretical framework developed in this study is based on the thought which built in the Islamic Jurisprudence Schools. Sachiko Murata sees that there is a relationship between cultural understanding and the understanding of God in the relationship of men and women. The research method applied in this research is prescriptive normative legal method with conceptual approach. The conclusion in this study states that in the narrative approach to the Holy Qur'an, there is no significant power relation that degrades, dominates, or subordinates the role of women in Islam. Spatial structure of culture becomes a matter of concern when there is submission in the role of women in their socio-cultural environment. The narrative text of the Holy Qur’an explains the high appreciation of domestic and public roles for women. Feminism itself can be traced in various narrative texts in the Holy Qur'an that place women in a place of honor.

This research investigated the representation of feminism in Javanese koplo dangdut song. These songs have got little attention in terms of feminism representation. Meanwhile, historically, Javanese society has factual agents of movement for feminism who should be influencing to the Javanese arts and literature. There arefive transcriptions of the songs as the data which collected by transcripting the songs from YouTube. The collected data were then analysed by applying van Dijk frame work of critical discourse analysis. The results show that most of the songs present gender equality between men and women. The role of women is not only presented as the second sex or as mainly a house wife, but they have opportunities to choose their own future life independently. This condition is suggested by using indirect language or using metaphoric expressions.
