The world in which we live is over brimming with chaos and turbulence. Unpredictability has become the order of the day. Everything around us seems to be in a state of continuous flux. We are trapped in the vortex of an unending cyclone of change. The very existence of humankind is in a state of dynamic equilibrium, so to say. We as a species are striving and struggling to survive in a world that can at best be summarily described by a four-letter acronym called VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous). The world in general and the corporate world in particular needs to thinks about devising concrete strategies to overcome the challenges offered by these four dominant characteristic waves sweeping the environment. The paper aims to understand the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity inherent in the environment in detail, to analyse the challenges offered by them and to finally explore the solutions to overcome these challenges.

The article analyzes psychological peculiarities of the image of the world and personal manifestations of the character of students with different forms of behaviour disorders. The types of image of the world and the personal traits of the character are analyzed. The peculiarities of the worldview of schoolchildren with aggression, autoaggression, overpriced hobbies, and emotional disorders are revealed. The influence of the image of the world on defects of the self-image and behaviour disturbance is established. The influence of a negative emotional background of the image of the world on the formation of dependent forms of behaviour is determined. It has been proven that the psychological correction of students with adaptation problems should include programs to stimulate a positive experience of the world and to restore an internal equilibrium. The directions of further exploration of the problems of psychology of addictive behaviours are outlined.During puberty, significant behavioral abnormalities may occur in children. With timely psychological and pedagogical intervention, destructive manifestations are situational or episodic. If parents and pedagogues do not resort to psychological correction, negative models of interaction between the teenager and the world become unlikely to overturn, and the troublesome behaviour becomes irreversible. The results of the study of the image of the world and the personal traits of students with different behavioral abnormalities are presented in this article. For example, it has been found that the adolescents’ use of profanity in communication with peers is caused solely by mechanisms of imitation and identification of the image of the world inherent in their family or social environment. In other words, there is a negative stimulation of the development of the image of the world of the child, the outward manifestation of aggressive behaviour. This, in turn, testifies to emotional-volitional instability and accentuation of character. Thus, the teenager demonstrates his/her “adulthood”.The article analyzes the causes of different types of addictive behaviour of young people: tobacco, gaming, computer, and more.Psychological correction in such cases should be aimed at establishing a dynamic equilibrium of the system “Image of the world – image of I”. That is, the child’s consciousness tries to adapt to the external conditions of being in a certain space, and this affects his/her behaviour. Under these conditions, responses may differ from generally accepted social norms.Stimulating self-development of the person and helping the teenager to form a realistic, content-rich worldview will positively affect the development of personal reflection and rethinking of one’s self-image.

As we enter the third decade of the 21st century, the value proposition of promoting sustainability and peace in the world has become more imperative than ever. It is an appropriate time to pause and reflect on what a post-pandemic COVID-19 world will look like and what constitutes a new mindset toward a more sustainable, stable, peaceful, and equitable world where all humans live with dignity and at peace. As emphasized in this paper, the new mindset must acknowledge that sustainability and peace are two entangled states of dynamic equilibrium. It is hard to envision a sustainable world that is not peaceful and a peaceful world that has not endorsed sustainable practices. This paper looks more specifically at the value proposition of adopting a systems approach to capture the linkages between selected development sectors (e.g., SDGs) and peace sectors (e.g., positive, negative, and cultural). Basic system dynamics (SD) models are presented to illustrate the peace–development nexus dynamics. The models are general enough to be used for different contexts and scales.

John Gray presents interesting metaphor for men and women in his best seller title “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus” as men are warrior; protector of fields and territory while women are the symbols of love, beauty and fertility in a society. If summed up the characteristics of men and women in single word for each, explained by Gray, most probably the men are ‘tuff’ and women are ‘fragile’. Are they really so? The claim of Gray can not be out rightly rejected. Although most of the researches in the field of ‘gender and management’ did not endorse the Gray’s analogy but accepted a few differences in the management and leaderships styles of men and women at the work place. In Pakistan too, gender equality or inequality is being debated like anywhere in the world. Pakistani organizations are predominantly managed by men. Few women can be seen at the top slot of management in the Pakistani corporate organizations. It is generally perceived that management is a masculine role, though management role is not a single role rather management roles are further classified into various sub roles, whereas some are perceived masculine and others are perceived as feminine roles. Being an active part of the corporate world, the researchers have observed differences in the managerial styles between men and women and wanted to find out through scientific method whether in Pakistani corporate culture, is management still associated with men only or its sub roles are more/less associated with men and women; both?
