AbstractSome of the challenges in Sanders et al. (2018, this issue) can be aptly illustrated by means of charity nudges; that is, nudges designed to increase charitable donations. These nudges raise many ethical questions. First, Oxfam's triptychs with suggested donations are designed to increase giving. If successful, do our actions match ex ante or ex post preferences? Does this make a difference to the autonomy of the donor? Second, the Behavioural Insights Team conducted experiments using social networks to nudge people to give more. Do these appeals steer clear of exploiting power relations? Do they respect boundaries of privacy? Third, in an online campaign by Kiva, donors are asked to contribute directly to personalised initiatives. In many cases, the initiative has already been funded and donor money is funnelled to a new cause. Is such a ‘pre-disbursal’ arrangement truthful and true to purpose as a social business model?

This meta-analysis examines the studies on groupware published between the years 2010 and 2020. Descriptive analysis was conducted to determine the distribution of studies in terms of publication year, time–space matrix category, targeted sectors, research methods, and the academic field of the journals that published these studies. Although groupware played a significant role in communication, collaboration, and coordination of users in various collaborative work conditions and sectors, the majority of studies focused on asynchronous and distributed collaborative work environments in the software engineering field, and the research method preferred was design science.

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is thought to be a systemic disease and has been associated with many disorders such as metabolic, endocrine, and especially cardiovascular diseases. One of the consequences of OSA is hypoxia, which can lead to a reduction in growth of osteoblast and a stimulation of osteoclast. Our meta-analysis was conducted to determine the risk of osteoporosis in patients with OSA compared to controls. Objectives: Eligible studies assessing the effects of obstructive sleep apnea on osteoporosis risk were comprehensively searched in PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and CENTRAL from their inception to September 2014. Two authors independently assessed article quality and extracted the data. Primary outcome were number of participants, prevalence, or risk ratio of osteoporosis in OSA and controls. Results: From 40 full-text articles, 3 studies involving 113,090 participants were included in the meta-analysis that were based on the random effects model. Compared with controls, participants who were diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea had increased risk of osteoporosis (pooled risks ratio, 1.85; 95% CI, 1.34, 2.56). Conclusion: Patients with OSA had a higher risk of developing osteoporosis. Further study is needed to evaluate the possible mechanisms between these two conditions and to find potential treatment for OSA that could prevent osteoporosis.

In this study, the presence and management of the social networks of 78 tourist destinations were analyzed for the development of sustainable tourism, with particular attention being paid to Spanish smart destinations. The variables for the empirical analysis were determined from a literature review, and it was concluded from a descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and an analysis of variance, that although the presence of tourist destinations on the internet and on social networks was notable, their management was inadequate for the development of sustainable tourist destinations. It was shown that there is a direct relationship between the number of visitors at a tourist destination and its presence on social networks. However, our analyses found that this correlation was not related to social network management; a greater number of visitors were not related to the effective management of social networks. It was concluded that smart destinations, despite having a technological advantage, did not stand out for their presence and management on social networks. The manuscript ends with some recommendations for the future
