Abstract Pesantren and Qur’anic school are prominent educational pioneers in the largest Muslim populated country, Indonesia. Qur’anic school is the oldest education system, which later inspired the birth of traditional Islamic boarding schools or pesantren that have been growing so rapidly and giving unique characteristics of Islamic education practice throughout of the country. Nowadays Qur’anic schools are almost everywhere in cities and villages, providing Qur’anic reading lesson for Muslim children and educating them to be pious generation based on Qur’an and Hadist. At present, Pesantren has reformed its roles not only serving Islamic education for ordinary villagers, the sons of the middle-class Muslims, and aspiring religious scholars, but also functioning as center of trainings for Qur’anic schools teachers. Although Qur’anic schools and Pesantren are always popular, researches about them remain few. This study uncovered the role of Pesantren at semi-urban rural area of Banjarnegara Regency in Central Java in Qiro’ati and Iqro Qur’anic teacher training education as well as described the process of reconstruction of Islamic knowledge by Qur’anic school teachers. It was found out that there were three steps of reconstruction of knowledge, namely filtering, adaptation, and implementation. How to Cite : Astuti, W. Kusakabe, T. (2016). Previous assessment of memory function In multiple sclerosis patients has yielded mixed findings regarding the type and severity of memory deficits, which may be due to (1) differential selection of scales for memory assessment; (2) limited, inconsistent or weak reliability and validity data for the memory scales employed; (3) poor standardization techniques; (4) lack of theoretical foundation for the measure; and (5) limited control of confounding variables, e.g., education, age and the use of nonverbal memory tests. The purpose of the present study was to assess memory function in multiple sclerosis subjects using the verbal subtests of the Memory Assessment Scale, a relatively new measure designed to overcome many of the aforementioned problems. Participants included 57 patients diagnosed as relapsing-remitting, 47 diagnosed as chronic progressive (two generally recognized types of multiple sclerosis), and 132 contra) participants. A multivariate analysis controlling for age and verbal IQ was significant (Wilks = 5.64, p<.001). One way follow-up tests showed both groups with multiple sclerosis had significantly diminished performance across all memory variables when compared with controls, with the exception of List Clustering Acquisition. This indicated that the patients used clustering (mentally grouping similar words together) as often as controls did. These findings provide support for the presence of significant and consistent verbal memory impairment in multiple sclerosis patients and the particular importance of using psychometrically sound measures in the assessment of this population.

The Faceted Inventory of the Five-Factor Model (FI-FFM) is a comprehensive hierarchical measure of personality. The FI-FFM was created across five phases of scale development. It includes five facets apiece for neuroticism, extraversion, and conscientiousness; four facets within agreeableness; and three facets for openness. We present reliability and validity data obtained from three samples. The FI-FFM scales are internally consistent and highly stable over 2 weeks (retest rs ranged from .64 to .82, median r = .77). They show strong convergent and discriminant validity vis-à-vis the NEO, the Big Five Inventory, and the Personality Inventory for DSM-5. Moreover, self-ratings on the scales show moderate to strong agreement with corresponding ratings made by informants ( rs ranged from .26 to .66, median r = .42). Finally, in joint analyses with the NEO Personality Inventory–3, the FI-FFM neuroticism facet scales display significant incremental validity in predicting indicators of internalizing psychopathology.

<p>This study aimed to identify Classroom Instructional Practices of Islamic education teachers<br />at basic stage in AL- Mafraq and to identify the relationship between these practices and<br />gender and experience variables as well as interaction between them. The researcher prepared<br />a scale which its reliability and validity were checked to measure the level of classroom<br />instructional practices. The sample of study which consisted of (64) teachers (male and<br />female) was chosen randomly.<br />Data were collected and analyzed statistically using means, standard deviation, t-test and<br />Tuky test. Results revealed that the classroom studying practices of Islamic education<br />teachers in basic stage in AL- Mafraq agreed with acceptable educational and social standard<br />(80%), whereas the percentage of the classroom instructional practices was (81-89%). The<br />results also revealed lack of statistical significant differences in the classroom instructional<br />practices of Islamic education teachers in the basic stage in AL- Mafraq due to the gender<br />variable but there were statistical significant differences at (0,05=OC) in classroom<br />instructional practices due to experience variable in favor of respondents with experiences ( 4<br />years and less) and 10 years and more).Additionally, there were no statistical significant<br />differences in the classroom instructional practices of Islamic education teachers due to<br />interaction between gender and experience variable. The researcher recommended conducting<br />further studies with different variables.</p>
