Cibulakan Formation as one of the prolific hydrocarbon-bearing intervals has become an interesting study object for many researchers. The continuous outcrop of the Cibulakan Formation in the Cipamingkis River comprises claystone, sandstone, and subordinate limestone of grainstone, packstone, and wackestone facies. The outcrop should be able to give a clearer vertical and spatial variation of sandstone and limestone geometry compared to the conventional core alone. Field observations followed by measuring the section is conducted to distinguish lithofacies and to create a stratigraphic profile from the chosen interval. Samples and thin sections from sandstone and limestone lithofacies are observed further to determine fragment type variation, matrix, cement, texture, and porosity types qualitatively. Fourteen (14) lithofacies have been recognized from the observation, i.e., Slumped Sandstone (A1), Claystone (A2), Slightly-bioturbated Sandstone (B1), Cross-laminated Sandstone (B2), Parallel-laminated Siltstone (B3), Calcareous Claystone (B4), Moderately-bioturbated Sandstone (C1), Hummocky Cross-stratified Sandstone (C2), Skeletal – Coral clast Wackestone (C3), Skeletal-clast Packstone (C4), Coralline Foraminiferal Boundstone (C5), Low-angle Planar Cross-bedded Sandstone (D1), Intensely-bioturbated Sandstone (D2), and Trough Cross-bedded Sandstone (D3). There are four architectural facies in the research interval and each of them is composed of different and specific lithofacies. An ideal parasequence is composed of all Architectural Facies namely : (A) Offshore-Transition (B) Lower Shoreface (C) Upper Shoreface with the whole thickness range between 15 to 25 m and the parasequence shows thickening upward succession. The detailed information about the lithofacies and architectural facies hopefully will provide a better understanding of the facies modelling of the mixed carbonate-siliciclastic depositional setting, new insights for parasequence recognition in clastic shoreline depositional environment and become a reference for other areas lacking in core data and/or outcrop analogue.

Abstract. Iskandar BS, Iskandar J, Partasasmita R. 2019. Hobby and business on trading birds: Case study in bird market of Sukahaji, Bandung, West Java and Splendid, Malang, East Java (Indonesia). Biodiversitas 20: 1316-1332. Bird species have various ecological and socio-economic-cultural functions for the human being. Ecologically, birds have beneficial functions in the ecosystem, such as helping plant pollinators, spreading plant seeds, participating in controlling agricultural pests, and monitoring environmental changes. Meanwhile, bird functions for the social-economic and culture of the community among them are known as sources of protein food, mystical functions, sources of material stories, sources of inspiration to make songs, craft materials, the source of gene pool, and become pets and trade animals. With the rise of the urban population hobby of raising birds and also the development of various bird contest activities in the urban, causing of the bird trade is very widespread in urban areas, such as in bird markets. In some cities in Indonesia, various bird markets have been popularly known for a long time. This study aimed to elucidate species diversity, folk classification, bird populations, bird prices, constraints to bird trade, and the positive and negative effects of bird trade in the urban bird market. The research method used a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods with the ethnoecological approach. The results of this study showed that from a survey of 60 bird traders in the bird market of Sukahaji, Bandung, and Splendid, Malang, a total of 160 bird species, representing 38 families were documented. Among them, 10 species representing 7 families recorded as protected bird by law in Indonesia, based on recent government regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of Republic of Indonesian No.106/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/12/2018. A total of 2,950 individuals were recorded in Sukahaji; while in Splendid were recorded 3,558 individuals. Prices of birds that are traded varied greatly depending on the species and characteristics of birds. It has been revealed that bird trade in the bird market has been various economic benefits for many people. However, due to the bird trade in bird markets in the city which has not been properly managed, the sustainability system of the bird trade in the city is very alarming caused of many factors, including decreasing of bird population over time in rural ecosystem as main supply of urban bird trading in the bird markets. Therefore, bird trading in the bird markets must be properly managed based on the sustainable development program concept, namely pro-economic, pro-social, and pro-environment.

This chapter analyses policy analytical methods in Belgian policy work. Government wide synoptic policy analytical tools have now and again attracted champions in Belgium’s governments. This was the case with PPBS in the late 1960s in the federal government, and with efficiency analysis and strategic planning in the 1990s in the Flemish government. Yet, they never survived the bureau-political games they engendered. At a lower level of ambition and within the dynamics of separate policy sectors, a plethora of formal analytical methods have been deployed, in both the ex ante and ex post stages of the policy cycle. These include quantitative methods such as cost-benefit-analysis and forecasting as well as qualitative methods such as Delphi, foresight, and impact analyses of different kinds. This chapter discusses the variation in formal analytical methods against the background of three trends: sectoral policy professionalisation, evidence-based policy, and the Europeanisation of policy analytical work.

Abstract Cilostazol (CLZ) is a quinolinone derivative possessing anti platelet and vasodilating properties and it is used in the treatment of intermittent claudication. It operates by inhibiting the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) dependent phosphodiesterase III which leads to availability of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in blood vessels and platelets owing to vasodilation and reduced calcium-induced contractions. This article illustrates the various reported quantitative methods which can be used to determine cilostazol and its metabolites either alone or in combination forms in pharmaceutical preparation or biological matrices like plasma, serum, and urine. The review covers analytical methods like ultraviolet spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, electrometric methods, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography, high performance thin layer chromatography, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography, and tandem mass spectroscopy from the year 1985 to 2019 with a brief explanation on every analytical method. Among the methods, it was found that most researchers opted for UV and HPLC analytical methods for the estimation of cilostazol.
