The coronavirus pandemic is crippling the world, and is also shaking up standard university practice. Digital technology has made live distance learning and e-learning possible and feasible. This is an effective remedy to the major challenge of maintaining foreign language provision in the context of a pandemic. However, from face-to-face to distance learning, EFL teachers are suddenly faced with an unexpected shift. No doubt our teaching practices must finally evolve, in order to gradually lead our students towards autonomy. But long before this goal is reached, we must face a no less important challenge: to set up a distance assessment system so that our end-of-semester or end-of-year exams can take place. Which platforms and tools should we use? Which examination modes should be chosen for which courses? What training should be provided to teachers? How to guarantee and measure the objectivity, fairness, reliability and feasibility of the distance examination? These are some of the parameters to be considered while systematically looking at the changes that may occur in future assessments.

Abstract The internet can be made as a way to transfer knowledge from lecturers to students, while Learning that utilizes the internet is one of the E-Learning Learning media. E-learning is distance learning that utilizes computer technology or computer networks or the Internet E-learning, so that it can enable the learning process through computers in their respective places without having to physically go to attend classes or lectures in class, Systems e-learning learning is a new way of teaching and learning. E-learning as a special learning media PAI courses provide a very important role and a large function in the course because so far there are many shortcomings and weaknesses such as the limitations of space and time in the teaching and learning process through E-learning which prioritizes the efficiency of learning so students get full teaching even though they do not have to be face to face, can also be accessed anywhere, anytime, according to the assignments given by the lecturer usually scheduled with a specified deadline. The development of education towards e-learning is a must so that the quality standards of education can be improved, E-learning is one of the uses of internet technology in the delivery of learning and its broad reach. E-learning can also be an answer to a health problem that is Pandemic Corona (Covid-19) which is very influential also in every aspect of life, especially in education.Keywords: Effectiveness, Utilization, Islamic Religious Education, E-Learning, Covid 19. Abstrak Internet dapat dijadikan cara untuk mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan dari Dosen kepada mahasiswa/mahasiswi. Adapun Pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan internet salah satunya adalah media pembelajaran E-Learning. E-learning adalah pembelajaran jarak jauh (distance learning) yang memanfaatkan  teknologi komputer atau jaringan komputer atau internet E-learning, sehingga dapat  memungkinkan proses pembelajaran melalui komputer di tempat mereka  masing– masing tanpa harus secara fisik  pergi  mengikuti pelajaran atau pun  perkuliahan di kelas,  Sistem pembelajaran e-learning adalah cara baru dalam proses belajar mengajar. E-learning  sebagai   media pembelajaran khususnya mata kuliah PAI memberikan  peran   sangat   penting  dan fungsi yang besar pada mata kuliah tersebut karena selama  ini terdapat banyak  kekurangan  dan kelemahan seperti keterbatasan ruang dan waktu dalam  proses belajar  mengajar melalui E-learning yang  mengedepankan keefisienan dalam belajar sehingga  mahasiswa mendapat pengajaran yang penuh meski tidak harus bertatap muka, juga bisa di akses di mana saja, kapan saja,  sesuai dengan tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen biasanya terjadwal dengan  batas  waktu  yang  di tentukan. Pengembangan  pendidikan menuju e-learning merupakan suatu keharusan agar standar mutu pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan,  E-learning merupakan salah satu penggunaan teknologi internet dalam penyampaian  pembelajaran  serta  jangkauannya yang luas. E-learning  juga dapat menjadi jawaban dari suatu permasalahan kesehatan yaitu Pandemi Corona (Covid-19) ini yang sangat berpengaruh juga pada setiap aspek kehidupan terutama bidang pendidikan.Kata kunci  :  Keefektifitas, Pemanfaatan, Pendidikan Agama Islam,  E-Learning, Covid 19.

This article reports on the use of blended learning in higher education. Blended learning has become popular in higher education in recent years. It is a move beyond traditional lecturing to incorporate face-to-face learning with e-learning, thereby creating a blend of learning experiences. The problem is that learning in higher education is complex and learning situations differ across contexts. Whilst there is face-to-face contact at some institutions, others offer distance learning or correspondence learning. In each context, the mode of learning may differ. The challenge is to cater for various learning opportunities through a series of learning interactions and to incorporate a blended approach. The aim of this study was to examine various ways of defining blended learning in different contexts. This was done through an examination of experiences of the use of blended learning in different higher education contexts. The study presents a case of blended learning in a postgraduate course. The experiences from all these cases are summarised and conclusions and recommendations are made in the context of blended learning in higher education in South Africa.

<p>Concerning the fast spread of COVID-19, countries all over the world have closed academic institutions to stop the pandemic. It is now apparent that students and teachers require other options that have to be more versatile, easily accessible, and support the current technologies and conditions to face the unpredictable future. From the review, literature disclosed that universities throughout the globe are establishing and implementing electronics learning platforms as a basic need in academic institutions. This manuscript aimed to assess the status of electronics learning in China and Ethiopian educational institutions to counter the challenges of the closure of schools because of the outbreak of the pandemic. The paper highlights concerning e-learning in the sense of China and Ethiopia, e-learning challenges, and successful experiences. This review paper also suggests educators use e-learning and distance learning as a necessity to advance learning, particularly during this pandemic season.</p>

The purpose of this study is to investigate the reaction of Greeks to this new educational reality due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Since the first restrictive measures were implemented in March 2020in Greece, distance learning has become a dynamic part of people’s daily lives with the prospect of remain in gas such in the future. A total of N=170 students, parents, teachers, civil servants, private sector employees who were involved in the distance learning process either as instructors or as students in the period of Covid-19 pandemic in Greece, were selected with the use of snowball sampling. A questionnaire using demographic and satisfaction related variables was completed by the respondents, namely citizens across Greece, based on a Likert scale questionnaire which is a useful and multidimensional instrument, to assess satisfaction within the time frame from July 7, 2020 to October 20, 2020; the period when there occurred a loosening in the restrictive measures between the two lockdowns in Greece. It was investigated how the demographic factors, specifically gender, age, occupation, and place of residence, influence the attitude of the respondents towards synchronous and asynchronous distance learning as well as their intention to continue using online education services in the future after the lifting of the restrictive measures. Additionally, the customers’ preferences concerning the most enjoyable distance learning experience were examined, so that they will be available to the distance learning program designers. Descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric statistical hypothesis tests were conducted in SPSS and R. Most of the respondents had not participated in online courses before the Covid-19 outbreak, 46 % did participate in e-learning courses before the Covid-19 lockdown while 54 % did not and 34.1% respondents prefer face-to-face learning, while 15.9% prefer e-learning. Also, 50% respondents prefer a combination of face-to-face learning and e-learning. Hypothesis tests showed that there are statistically significant differences between users’ preferences as well as regarding their demographic characteristics. Undergraduate and postgraduate university students continue to participate in online learning courses and are willing to invest financial resources and time in this new educational process (?2(4)=10.440, p=0.034), unlike high school students who prefer face-to-face learning (p=0.042). The present study will lead to practical implications, such as the formation of e-learning programs which aim for the best user experience and the best learning outcomes. Also, private educational organizations can include the results in the key elements to implementing a strategic marketing mix.

The chapter focuses on the main factors, which should be met in order to maximize the effectiveness of a blended e-learning program for adult learners. The factors discussed in this chapter are derived from the perspectives of the learners, scientific staff, administrative staff, and the technical staff engaged in the distance learning process. Specifically, these factors have emerged through the internal evaluation of a national program, Design and Implementation of Distance Learning Programs, implemented in Greece via the Distance Adult Education Center for Lifelong Learning. Findings on the strengths and weaknesses of the program as well as suggestions for implementation of future related programs are also discussed in the chapter. The findings indicate that harmonization of program content and the educational process with the principles of adult education both in face-to-face and online environment has a positive effect on the educational outcome of the program. In addition, the appropriate use of the communication tools in the Learning Management System (LMS) is very important for the effectiveness of the program.

The University Abdou Moumouni (UAM) of Niamey in Niger mainly focused on traditional face to face learning, and even the existence of the African Virtual University since the years 1999 did not change the situation. It is only after the official opening at the University of the Francophone Digital Campus in December 2003 that lecturers and students started overseeing and taking advantages of all the benefits of e-Learning and distance learning. The present paper builds on the author’s personal initiatory experience in e-Learning to highlight some specific challenges that traditional universities such as the UAM face in their efforts to introduce e-Learning and distance learning as a new mode of course delivery. The study shows that even though challenges are big, political and institutional support can freshen the perspectives and change opportunities into realities.

Covid-19 atau sering disebut Virus Corona adalah suatu wabah penyakit yang berasal atau pertama kali di temukan dari Tiongkok, penyakit tersebut menyebar dengan cepat ke seluruh dunia. Covid-19 tersebut menyebar ke Indonesia pada awal Maret 2020. Penyebaran virus Corona ini menyebabkan beberapa kerugian yang cukup besar ke negara kita yaitu Indonesia terutama dalam bidang ekonomi, dan merambat ke bidang pendidikan, Covid-19 juga mengubah model pembelajaran secara drastis, dari pembelajaran secara konvensional dan sekarang menjadi pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring, dari yang bertatap muka dan sekarang Cuma bisa melalui via aplikasi saja, yang terdampak mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar (SD) sampai perguruan tinggi. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran dengan mode daring di Universitas Lambung Mangkurat sudah lumayan efektif dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Google Classroom, Google Meet dan E-learning. Kalau kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring yaitu masalah koneksi internet mahasiswa yang kurang mendukung pada setiap wilayah mahasiswa tersebut. Covid-19 or often called the Corona Virus is an outbreak of a disease that originated or was first discovered from China, the disease spreads rapidly throughout the world. The Covid-19 spread to Indonesia in early March 2020. The spread of the Corona virus caused quite a number of losses to our country, namely Indonesia, especially in the economic field, and spread to the field of education, Covid-19 also drastically changed the learning model, from learning conventionally and now learning is done online, from face to face and now it can only be via the application, which is affected starting from elementary school (SD) to college level. Online learning activities at Lambung Mangkurat University have been quite effective by using the Google Classroom application, Google Meet and E-learning. Panacea erupted by COVID-19 outbreak has transformed our personal and political perspectives, on priorities and mode of lives, around the world. On March 11, 2020, WHO declaring it as a pandemic followed by nation wide smart lockdown and implementation of social distancing, has remodeled our sociocultural and academic norms.To our interest, it has encouraged medical colleges of our country to take a giant leap from a traditional face-to-face instruction to online learning. Though sudden, massive, and unplanned transition it might be, this not only changed mode of curricular delivery, but uncovered opportunity of grooming ourselves to Millennial expectations. Initially, our digital recluse faculty had to learn basics of computer to become digital refugees. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a fundamental impact on various aspects of humanity. Starting from attacking health, this pandemic has hit the education sector which is quite influential on human life. Enforcement of regulations while maintaining a distance of about one meter has implications for the education process in Indonesia. Therefore, the educational element must encourage the distance learning process. The term arises because it sees distance learning as an alternative to face-to-face methods so that education can always be held without controversy under any circumstances. This activity raises the use of technology that is used as teaching material for distance education. Distance learning techniques allow users to take advantage of technologies such as online learning. Teachers will be required to abandon using traditional techniques whose methods are somewhat indifferent. Online learning creates internet connectivity and the use of information technology in helping the teaching and learning process that can be applied in Google Classroom. In this article, researchers focus on using Google Classroom in the context of implementing distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Learning media is an important part of the distance learning process, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Online learning implemented in the midst of a pandemic demands innovation. The process of learning media innovation with the use of information technology is a big part of the progress of education. E-learning as a learning model in education provides a big role and function for the world of education. E-learning as a distance learning model in the education sector provides a big function and role for the world of education, especially since the Indonesian Government since March 2, 2020 (kompas.com) is facing the Covid-19 outbreak where all students at all levels are studying at home. Teachers at all levels of education as the spearhead of the implementation of education need to be empowered by providing knowledge and skills in making innovative learning media using technology. Community service that has been carried out aims to empower teachers in making technology-based learning media. This is based on the special problems faced by teacher partners (SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Paciran), the difficulty in making innovative learning media using technology. After empowerment through lectures on the importance of e-learning, followed by training on innovative learning media with movavi, and direct assistance and use of zoom, it was concluded that (a) teacher partners of SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Lamongan have increased knowledge (b) Teachers are capable converting PPT into visual learning media using Movavi software, (c) The teacher is able to take pictures, edit using Movavi on a smartphone. (d) At this stage the teachers are able to make learning media starting from planning by selecting important materials, taking pictures, editing learning media, to rendering so as to produce learning media that attracts students. abstrakMedia pembelajaran menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran jarak jauh terlebih ditengah pandemi covid-19. Pembelajaran daring yang diimplementasi ditengah pandemi menuntut inovasi. Proses inovasi media pembelajaran dengan penggunakaan teknologi informasi bagian besar untuk kemajuan Pendidikan. E-learning sebagai model pembelajaran dalam pendidikan memberikan peran dan fungsi yang besar bagi dunia pendidikan. E-learning sebagai model pembelajaran jarak jauh sektor pendidikan memberikan fungsi dan peran yang besar bagi dunia pendidikan lebih-lebih saat ini Pemerintah Indonesia sejak 2 Maret 2020 (kompas.com) menghadapi wabah covid-19 dimana semua siswa pada semua jenjang belajar dirumah. Guru pada semua jenjang pendidikan sebagai ujung tombak pada pelaksanaan Pendidikan perlu diberdayakan dengan memberi bekal pengetahuan, ketrampilan dalam membeuat media pembelajaran yang inovatif dengan pemanfaatan teknologi. Pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilaksankaan bertujuan untuk pemberdayaan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Hal tersebut didasari permasalahan khusus yang dihadapi mitra guru (SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Paciran) kesulitan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran inovatif dengan penggunaan teknologi. Setelah dilaksankaan pemberdayaan melalui ceramah pentingnya pembelajaran e-learning, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan inovasi pembaatan media pembelajaran dengan movavi, dan pendampingan baik melalui langsung dan penggunaan zoom disimpulkan (a)  mitra guru SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Lamongan  telah bertambah pengetahuannya (b) Guru mampu mengubah PPT menjadi media pembelajaran visual dengan menggunakan software movavi, (c) Guru mampu untuk pengambilan gambar, editing menggunakan movavi pada smartphone. (d) Pada tahap ini guru-guru mampu membuat media pembelajaran mulai dari perencanaan dengan memilih materi penting, pengambilan gambar, melaksanakan editing media pembelajaran, sampai rendering sehingga menghasilkan media pembelajaran menarik siswa.
