[email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]   RESUMO: A pesquisa teve como objetivo realizar o diagnóstico ambiental para frangos de corte com três semanas de vida no município de Campina Grande (PB), região do Agreste Paraibano. Onde foram sistematizados os dados climáticos do município, comparando com as exigências dos animais, determinando os limites de aceitabilidade ambiental, identificando os pontos críticos e por fim, foram disponibilizados soluções construtivas e energéticas para correção das instalações. Foram utilizados os dados de série histórica de temperatura do ar, umidade e ITGU para o município, obtidos por meio do software Estima_T, disponibilizado pelo Departamento de Ciências Atmosféricas da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande. Observou-se que o ITGU, apenas na primeira semana, obteve um índice inferior ao ITGU ideal. Já para as demais semanas, o valor do ITGU permaneceu confortável em todos os meses do ano. Assim, o presente diagnóstico indica que há necessidade de correções nas instalações para proporcionar aos animais um maior conforto térmico, para que os mesmos possam expressar todo seu potencial dentro das instalações que estão inseridos.   Palavras-chave: Avicultura, Instalações, Conforto térmico, Diagnóstico.   ENVIRONMENTAL DIAGNOSIS FOR BROILERS CHICKENS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAMPINA GRANDE   ABSTRACT: The research aimed to carry out the environmental diagnosis for broilers chickens with three weeks of life in the municipality of Campina Grande (PB), region of Agreste Paraibano. Where the municipality climatic data were systematized, comparing with the requirements of animals, determining the limits of environmental acceptability, identifying the critical points and finally, constructive and energetic solutions were made available to correct the installations. Historical data on air temperature, humidity and ITGU for the municipality were used, obtained using the Estima_T software, made available by the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the Federal University of Campina Grande. It was observed that the ITGU, only in the first week, obtained a lower index than the ideal ITGU. For the other weeks, the ITGU value remained comfortable in all months of the year. Thus, the present diagnosis indicates that there is a need for corrections in the facilities to provide animals with greater thermal comfort, so that they can express their full potential within the facilities that are inserted.   Keywords: Poultry, Facilities, Thermal comfort, Diagnosis.

Thermal and acoustic comfort, inside a vehicle’s cabin, are highly interconnected and can greatly influence the health of the passengers. On one hand, the H.V.A.C. system brings the interior air parameters to a comfortable value while on the other hand, it is the main source of noise. It is an intriguing task to find a balance between the two. In this paper, several types of air diffusers were used in order to optimize the ratio between thermal and acoustic interior comfort. Using complex measurements of noise and thermal comfort parameters we have determined for each type of air diffuser the sound pressure level and its impact on air temperature and air velocity.

The successful of manufacturing factories in industry is highly dependent on a productivity of their employees especially operators. It was identified that comfort and noise level can reduce the productivity of their workers. This study is to determine the level of thermal and noise comfort in the battery plate factory. This study was conducted in three days and location of the study is at battery plate factory in Semenyih, Selangor, Malaysia. The scope of study is focused at plate manufacturing area where the employee estimated 40 persons. The thermal comfort level can be determined by calculating PMV and PPD. This study involved six factors of comfort which is air temperature, average radiant temperature, air velocity, relative humidity, metabolic rate and clothes insulation. Then the study of noise level was conducted by determining LAeq, T, Lmax and Lmin. To carry out this study, Babuc-A equipment were used. The analysis show the area of the manufacturing battery plate having a discomfort condition and PMV result is between 1.5 until 3. Air temperature on the other hand is between 27.4°C-37.8°C while relative humidity is between range 35.35% -92.1% and air velocity 0 m/s-1.28 m/s. Meanwhile the LAeq,T value in the factory is varied from 68 to 80 dB.

Thermal comfort is considered very important in aspects of risk assessment, summertime morbidity or in building designing. The present study applied Thom’s discomfort index (DI) to assess the trend of outdoor thermal discomfort in Mymensingh City during 2006-2015. It wasfound that December to February months was comparatively comfortable, DI values were typically <21 and therefore no people felt any discomfort in these months. On the other hand, under 50% population experienced discomfort during March and November months when discomfort valueswere ranged between 21- 24. From April to October months discomfort values varied from 25-27, which indicated thatover 50% population suffered from discomfort in this period. Though no extreme discomfort condition observed in Mymensingh city, the results revealed from June to September months most of the population suffered from severe discomfort in Mymensingh city due to the high air temperature, and high relative humidity.J. The present study traces the dynamics of personal characteristics in youth and the manifested neurotic symptoms in the training process. These facts are the reason for the low levels of school results in the context of the existing theoretical statements of the problem and the empirical research conducted among the trained teenagers. We suggest that the indicators of neurotic symptomatology in youth – aggression, anxiety, and neuroticism, are the most demonstrated, compared to the other studied indicators of neurotic symptomatology. Studies have proved that there is a difference in the act of neurotic symptoms when tested in different situations, both in terms of expression and content. At the beginning of the school year, neurotic symptoms, more demonstrated in some aspects of aggressiveness, while at the end of school year, psychotism is more demonstrated. The presented summarized results indicate that at the beginning of the school year, neurotic symptoms are strongly associated with aggression. There is a tendency towards a lower level of social responsiveness, both in the self-assessment of real behavior and in the ideal “I”-image of students in the last year of their studies. The neurotic symptomatology, more demonstrated due to specific conditions in the life of young people and in relation to the characteristics of age.

The relationship between Islam and state raises a controversy that includes two main groups;formalists and substantialists. Both of them intend to achieve a good social condition which is inaccordance with Islamic politics. The ideal form of good society to be achieved is principallydescribed in the main source of Islamic law, Al Qur’an and As Sunnah, as follows. A form of goodsociety should supprot equality and justice, egalitarianism, and democracy in its social community.The next problem is what the needed methods and instruments to achieve the ideal Islamic politicsare. In this case, the debate on the formalization and substance of Islamic teaching is related to therunning formal political institution.Each group claims itself to be the most representative to the ideal Islam that often leads to anescalating conflict. On the other hand thr arguments of both groups does not reach the wholeMuslims. As a result, the discourse of Islam and state seems to be elitist and political. As a result,Both groups suspect each other each other and try to utilize the controversy on the relationshipbetween Islam and state to get their own benefit which has no relation with the actualization ofIslamic teaching.

Experimental results demonstrate bow small differences in depth and water regime have a significant affect on the accumulation and allocation of nutrients and biomass. Because the performance of aquatic plants depends on these factors, an understanding of their influence is essential to ensure that systems function at their full potential. The responses differed for two emergent species, indicating that within this morphological category, optimal performance will fall at different locations across a depth or water regime gradient. The performance of one species was unaffected by growth in mixture, whereas the other performed better in deep water and worse in shallow.

Due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, most countries have tightened their public health policies. One way to limit the spread of the virus is to make mouth and nose cover compulsory in public spaces. The article presents the impact of wearing masks on the perception of thermal comfort. The following masks were analysed: FFP2, cotton, medical, PM2.5, half-face protective shield plastic and full-face protective shield plastic. The research was carried out for two scenarios of an ambient temperature: −20 and 30 °C. A thermal manikin was used for the tests. In the case of when a temperature equals 20 °C, the dry masks increase comfort, both general and local, while wet masks reduce comfort. On the other hand, at 30 °C, only wet masks do not increase discomfort. In addition, moist masks require less heat flux to achieve a certain skin temperature. However, it should be remembered that it is not advisable to wet the masks from the health point of view.

Abstract Theodor Adorno’s philistine functions as the other of art, or as the ideal embodiment of everything that the bourgeois aesthetic subject is not. He insists on the truth-content of the derogation, while recognising its unjust social foundation, and seeking to reflect that tension in a self-critical turn. His model of advanced art is negatively delimited by the philistinism of art with a cause and the philistinism of art for enjoyment, which represent the poles of the aesthetic and the social. The philistine is also the counterpart to the connoisseur, with the interplay between them pointing to his preferred approach to aesthetics, in which an affinity for art and alienness to it are combined without compromise. However, Adorno fails to realise fully the critical potential of the philistine as the immanent negation of art and aesthetics.

1. An account is given of the muscular anatomy of the foot and ampulla of Asterias rubens. An intrinsic musculature of the sucker figured by Cuénot (1891) and Chadwick (1923) is shown not to be present; on the other hand, postural muscles responsible for orientating the podium, levator fibres which ‘cup’ the sucker, and radial fibres which flatten it are described and figured for the first time. 2. The role of the different muscle systems, the collagen connective tissue, and the fluid of the hydrocoel in protracting and retracting the foot, and in effecting the attachment and detachment of the sucker, is discussed. 3. Evidence is presented, to show that postural pointing of the foot is brought about by the contraction of a ring of muscles encircling the base of the podium. The orienting muscles are functionally, but not anatomically, distinct from the longitudinal fibres of the retractor sheath. 4. The ambulatory step is shown to comprise a series of linked phases of static posture and of movement. Each phase is characterized by the contraction of one member of each of the two opposing pairs of muscles engaged in the development of the step. The two pairs of muscles are (1) the anterior and posterior orienting fibres, and (2) the protractors and retractors of the foot. In its ideal form the step comprises four phases of static posture alternating with four movements. Each movement is ushered in by a reversal of the contraction-relaxation relationships of one of the two pairs of opposing muscle systems. Four such changes are possible and they occur in a sequence that ensures the orderly succession of the four movements of protraction, swing back, retraction, and swing forward, of which movements the idealized stepping cycle is composed. 5. The actual locomotory step departs from the ideal form in two respects: (1) it is liable to become disrupted by a delay in the initiation of the protraction or of the backswing movement, and (2) withdrawal of the podium occurs simultaneously with its re-orientation in the forward direction. It is pointed out that these variations are explicable on the assumption that, in the two series of opposing muscle pairs, the retractor fibres are more readily excited to contract than are their antagonists, and the anterior postural muscles than the posterior postural fibres.
