The world of robotics is currently developing; many robots are created to help humans work in carrying out daily activities. Various types of robots have been created, one of which is a type of robot that resembles a human body (humanoid). Humanoid robots are developing in many countries, including Indonesia. In its development, the walking technique is a major factor in making humanoid robots. Humanoid robots have the ability to walk like humans by balancing their body positions while walking, so they don’t fall. In maintaining this balance, a tilt detection system for the robot’s position and a balancing system is needed when the robot is about to fall. So, to overcome this problem, implementation is carried out using the sensor fusion method at the output of the sensors that are used to minimize noise or interference with the sensor output value. The accuracy of the sensor output value on the position angle tilt detector can help the robot provide a balancing act. By implementing a PD control system and sensor fusion consisting of a Kalman filter and a complementary filter, the robot was successfully carried up and down the plane to a maximum slope of 12 °.

Background: According to the WHO report, around 4.07% of the world's population is visually impaired. About 90% of the visually impaired users live in the lower economic strata. In the fast moving technology, most of the invention misses the need of these people. Mainly the technologies were designed for mainstream people; visually impaired people always find an inability to access it. This inability arises primarily for reasons such as cost, for example, Perkins Brailler costs 80-248 dollars for the simple purpose of Braille input. Another major reason is the hassle of carrying the big equipment. Objective: Keeping all this in mind and making technology as their best friends, MAGIC-1 has been designed. The goal is to provide a solution in terms of an application, which helps the visually impaired user in their daily life activities. Method: The proposed solution assists visually impaired users through smart phone technology. If visually impaired users ever wished to have a touched guide into a smart phone, MAGIC-1 has the solution that consolidates all the important features in their daily activities. Results: The performance of the solution as a whole and its individual features in terms of usability, utility and other metrics, etc. has been tested with sample visually impaired users. Moreover, their performances in term of Errors per Word and Words per Minute have been observed. Conclusion: MAGIC-I, the proposed solution works as an assistant of visually impaired users to overcome their daily struggles and stay more connected to the world. A visually impaired user can communicate via their mobile devices with features like eyes free texting using braille, voice calling etc. They can easily take help in an emergency situation with the options of SOS emergency calling and video assistance.

This article aims to develop a system capable of estimating the displacement of a moving object with the usage of a relatively cheap and easy to apply sensors. There is a growing need for such systems, not only for robots, but also, for instance, pedestrian navigation. In this paper, the theory for this idea, including data postprocessing algorithms for a MEMS accelerometer and an optical flow sensor (OFS), as well as the developed complementary filter applied for sensor fusion, are presented. In addition, a vital part of the accelerometer’s algorithm, the zero velocity states detection, is implemented. It is based on analysis of the acceleration’s signal and further application of acceleration symmetrization, greatly improving the obtained displacement. A test stand with a linear guide and motor enabling imposing a specified linear motion is built. The results of both sensors’ testing suggest that the displacement estimated by each of them is highly correct. Fusion of the sensors’ data gives even better outcomes, especially in cases with external disturbance of OFS. The comparative evaluation of estimated linear displacements, in each case related to encoder data, confirms the algorithms’ operation correctness and proves the chosen sensors’ usefulness in the development of a linear displacement measuring system.

AbstractCOVID-19 has crippled the world’s healthcare systems, setting back the economy and taking the lives of several people. Although potential vaccines are being tested and supplied around the world, it will take a long time to reach every human being, more so with new variants of the virus emerging, enforcing a lockdown-like situation on parts of the world. Thus, there is a dire need for early and accurate detection of COVID-19 to prevent the spread of the disease, even more. The current gold-standard RT-PCR test is only 71% sensitive and is a laborious test to perform, leading to the incapability of conducting the population-wide screening. To this end, in this paper, we propose an automated COVID-19 detection system that uses CT-scan images of the lungs for classifying the same into COVID and Non-COVID cases. The proposed method applies an ensemble strategy that generates fuzzy ranks of the base classification models using the Gompertz function and fuses the decision scores of the base models adaptively to make the final predictions on the test cases. Three transfer learning-based convolutional neural network models are used, namely VGG-11, Wide ResNet-50-2, and Inception v3, to generate the decision scores to be fused by the proposed ensemble model. The framework has been evaluated on two publicly available chest CT scan datasets achieving state-of-the-art performance, justifying the reliability of the model. We have reported that 40 specific intractable diseases and 24 types of cancer and malignancies as well as Kawasaki disease may be triggered by pollen in our previous papers.Further, we reported in 2021 two articles regarding relation of outbreak of Influenza and COVID-19, and pollen exposure. In this paper, five distinguished ophthalmologists will be considered and described. Mikito Takayasu was the first person to report the discovery of Takayasu's arteritis, one of the vasculitis syndromes, which may be a pollen-induced disease as well as Kawasaki disease. Next, Einosuke Harada, Alfred Vogt and Yoshizo Koyanagi are considered and described as the reporters of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease. The fifth ophthalmologist is Li Wenliang who was the first person in the world to report the outbreak of SARS-COV-2 infection. Many people are still unaware of the fact that exposure to pollen can lead to many diseases. The author hopes that those who are involved in medical care will consider the scientific facts, keep their eyes open, and use this knowledge in their daily activities, although clear proof in experimental medicine is craved.

As the world is moving toward newer technologies and to meet the requirements of the same adapting toward different network topology. SDN is such example of a network which solves many issues or limitations of a traditional TCP/IP network. As majority of workspace is moving towards SDN, many new vulnerabilities are also emerging, and to protect the network and systems on these networks, in this paper we discuss and propose a dataset which would be helpful in training an intrusion detection system over SDN which would also include the intrusion dataset for traditional TCP/IP network too. We generate this data over SDN topology by attacking the host system present in the network, then analyse the generated data using CICFlowmeter which would give us the desired dataset for intrusion detection.

Nano particles are particles that exist on a nanometer scale. Nanoparticles exist in our surrounding either naturally or created by human activities. As per Commission of European Union (2011), a nano-object needs only one of its characteristic dimensions to be in the range of 1-100nm to be classed as a nanoparticle even if its other dimensions are outside that range. Nanoparticles have revolutionized the world through the introduction of a unique class of material and consumer products in many fields due to production of innovative materials and devices. Despite their unique benefits and utility in daily activities, this could result in undesirable changes in the environment and affect the workplace. Carbon-based nanoparticles, oxides of metals, and natural inorganic compounds can have biological effects on the environment and human health. This chapter deals with the nanoparticles and their mode of action in the environment.

Amputation, especially of the upper limbs, is a condition that exists in almost all parts of the world. There are more than 110 thousand amputees in India itself. It is extremely difficult for amputees to carry out their daily activities and to deal with daily life as normal people do. The purpose of the myoelectric prosthesis is to restore the basic functions of the lost organs in the joint using neural signals produced by the muscles. Unfortunately, the use of such myosignals is complicated. In addition, once detected, it usually requires a computational force strong enough to convert it into a user-controlled signal. Its modification to the actual function of the implant is limited by a number of factors, especially those associated with the fact that each amputee has a different muscle movement. Modified artificial intelligence systems designed for pattern recognition have the potential to improve the size of implants but still fail to provide a system in which artificial arms can be controlled by brain signals.
