The article analyzes the contribution of the professor of the Department of Pedagogy of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv A.D. Bondar in the development of theoretical principles and methods of conducting laboratory and practical classes in higher education, identifies the possibility of using this pedagogical experience in modern conditions. It is established that today the work and pedagogical activity of A.D. Bondar is insufficiently studied, although his work reflects the results of research on important didactic problems that are relevant today. It is analyzed that among the various types of classes in higher education an important place belongs to laboratory and practical work, because they follow one of the leading principles of didactics – the principle of connection of theory with practice. According to A.D. Bondar, laboratory and practical works are closely connected with lectures and independent work of students, they, with their proper organization, help students to creatively use the theoretical knowledge that they acquired during lectures and in the process of studying literary sources. This type of training activates the cognitive activity of students, gives them the opportunity to show initiative and ingenuity, better master the program material, get acquainted with the latest installations and devices, equipment and materials, experiment in laboratory or production conditions, helps teachers to involve students in research work, promotes the development of their thinking, ingenuity, innovation. According to A.D. Bondar, laboratory classes are an effective way to study the material, give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and see the results of their work. At the same time, many factors significantly reduce the effectiveness of this important type of training. It is proved that the improvement of the quality of laboratory classes can help, in particular, the implementation of guidelines developed by A.D. Bondar almost half a century ago.

The article reveals the author’s approach to the preparation and conduct of lectures in institutions of higher education in a mixed learning environment. It is determined that the development of digital technologies, the introduction of information and communication technologies in the educational process, the spread of electronic educational resources of open access, as well as the need to comply with the paradigm of competence-based approach in the process of training specialists determine the search for new forms of interaction between teachers and students. Based on the analysis of scientific research, it is revealed that the lecture as a form of occupation holds an important place in the system of training specialists for many centuries. Taking into account that in the modern digital society, a lecture is no longer the only source of knowledge, its value from the side of familiarizing students with the main scientific and theoretical provisions of the subject area is emphasized. It is noted that reducing the number of hours for lectures and increasing them for independent work does not solve the problem of students’ passivity while listening to lectures, because independent work is difficult to control, and in the absence of students’ motivation to learn and skills to learn independently, the quality of their training significantly suffers. It is proved that the use of interactive lectures is effective if students are first acquainted with the material of the topic, if they have critical thinking skills and develop communication skills. The author notes that mixed learning contributes to the effectiveness of independent work, the organization of various forms and methods of active learning and creative work of students, including during lectures. The results of experimental work on the implementation of mixed learning technologies in the preparation and conduct of lectures on the course “Methods of teaching computer science” are presented. It is offered to implement author’s structure of preparation for lectures using the electronic environment LMS Moodle, examples of multi-level tasks that should be offered before the lecture, during the reading and after it. The results of the study allowed the author to conclude that mixed learning will make up a small temporary amounts of lectures through information support in the form of e-learning resources, ensure the setup of interactive communication between students and the lecturer in the learning process, and the use of Moodle helps educator to fill a variety of course tasks and to configure the communication with students to increase productive interaction of the lecturer with the audience and test the level of mastering the material.

The introduction of modern innovative training technologies in the training of highly skilled specialists involves a significant expansion and increase of the significance of cognitive activity in the educational process of each student, and in particular his individual activity during the implementation of a laboratory practice on the course of general physics, including the study of the section "Quantum Physics". Our scientific researches convincingly prove the expediency of widespread use of computer-oriented means for the purpose of development of independent activity of students in physics and in their high efficiency in solving the problem of integration of the real and virtual experiment from the given section. For this purpose, our computer-oriented training tools and corresponding software products take into account the obligatory availability of successive modules that provide the multifunctionality of the proposed training kit for the physical workshop and practical training tasks from the corresponding section as autonomously (independently of others), for example and integrated with other modules. The isolated modules, on the one hand, are consistent with the types of educational activity of the student, and on the other hand, they contribute to the purposeful management of research work during the physical practice and thus are an important factor in the organization and management of the student's independent work. Such a technique allows the student to attain a sufficiently high level of understanding of each module and, accordingly, at the appropriate level, to master laboratory research on quantum physics, where the subject of study can be presented real or virtual, which simultaneously enhances the professional expertise of future physics teachers and professionals whose activities are " with physics, and also improves the efficiency of independent work of a future specialist.

The article analyzes the main reasons for de-actualization of higher education in Ukraine on the example of teaching foreign languages. The authors identified four main reasons for the deactualization of higher education: a difficult socio-economic situation caused by an incompetent organization of the production forces of the Ukrainian economy, low quality of educational services, depopulation of the Ukrainian population and a decrease in the quality of the teaching staff, a permanent increase in the cost of higher education. To confirm our assumptions, we carried out an introduction of students from different parts of Ukraine who study a foreign language. We interviewed six respondents from different universities across Ukraine about the topic: V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Kyiv National Linguistic University, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. Every respondent was given a name (A-F) in order to keep their anonymity. We have presented the results of the interview. Students say that problems do not always depend on universities, but personal traits of students and teachers and modern tendencies in labor market. We gave some recommendations: the curriculum must be corrected in favor of main subjects or even subjects that will make graduates more appropriate for some posts than people without degree; teaching staff must have special pedagogical degree in order to improve their pedagogical skills; universities need to employ native speakers of taught languages; universities need to elaborate such study programs that will make their graduates more attractive candidates in labor market. The main conclusion must be so: the system of higher education has to keep up with the times and change itself according to labor market, students’ beliefs and modern tendencies in science and technology.
