The article presents the training program (for personality-oriented training) developing psychological qualities and personal resources of students’ self-realization in the integrated educational environment: psychological hardiness, value-semantic and motivational resources (meaningfulness of life, motives for self-development, values of self-realization, time perspective); resources of self-regulation (self-attitude, self-efficacy, autonomy); active coping strategies. The study purpose was to reveal the content of the training program promoting students’ self-realization in the integrated educational environment and the features of its implementation. The correlation analysis was used to identify links among the components of self-realization of students with disabilities and their personal characteristics – self-attitudes, life values and meanings, basic beliefs, psychological hardiness, time perspective, used coping strategies. The comprehensive empirical study involved 325 students with disabilities and 225 students without disabilities studying in integrated university groups (Kyiv). The targets for psychological influence and meaningful parts of the proposed training promoting self-realization were identified. The training program was a personality-oriented training and included a set of psychological techniques and methods promoting continuous personal growth, activating psychological mechanisms of self-development, self-improvement, self-activation and self-realization of potential capabilities. The training program was developed on the principles of humanistic and positive psychology; the proactive conceptual model of disability; the resource-oriented approach used in psychological counselling and psychotherapy; the concept of self-determined behaviour. The purpose of the proposed training program was to promote students’ self-realization via development of their psychological qualities and personal resources: psychological hardiness, value-semantic and motivational resources (meaningfulness of life, motives for self-development, values of self-realization, time perspective); resources of self-regulation (self-attitude, self-efficacy, autonomy); active coping strategies. The training program was based on self-realization components selected by us and consisted of three meaningfully related parts: «I and my inner world» (psychological resources of personal self-realization) including three modules; «I and the Other» (social resources of personal self-realization) with two modules; «I am in the World and Life» (instrumental resources maintaining life quality and psychological well-being) with two modules. Approbation of the program has showed its high efficiency. The analysed components of students’ self-realization – psychological hardiness, self-attitude, self-acceptance, meaningful life goals, active coping – showed their significant growth, and as a consequence, improved students’ psychological well-being.

ABSTRACT This study sought to investigate which coping strategies are most frequently used by accounting faculty and how they can modulate the perceived stress. The higher education academic environment is filled with events that are stressful in nature; however, little effort, especially in the area of accounting, has been employed in seeking to understand and propose guidelines that can improve well-being and pleasure in the teaching profession. A coping strategy is a behavior that protects the individual from psychological damage related to problematic social experiences; it is through these behaviors that individuals manage their day-to-day experiences, thus helping to maintain their mental health. The discussion about the use of strategies for coping with stress lacks an approach in higher education institutions (HEIs), as it indicates that various strategies are being employed ineffectively and signals that three of the statistically significant strategies belong to the dimension of those focused on dysfunctional emotions. And, more seriously, of those three strategies, two (self-reproach and denial) have further contributed to increasing the perception of stress. The Teacher Stress Inventory (TSI), composed of 26 questions with a five-point Likert scale, and the Brief COPE (Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced Inventory), with 28 items and a four-point scale, were employed together with sociodemographic questions. An electronic questionnaire was sent to two thousand accounting faculty in Brazil. Altogether, 563 faculty members answered the questions. The analysis was conducted through association and multiple linear regression tests. It was verified that the average stress reported by the faculty members was 63% of the maximum TSI score, and the most prevalent strategies measured by the Brief COPE were planning, active coping, positive reinterpretation, use of instrumental support, self-reproach, and religion. Through linear regression estimation, it was concluded that two coping strategies (active coping and behavioral divestment) negatively moderated the faculty members’ stress, but two others (self-reproach and denial) raised their perception of stress. Moreover, it was discovered that the faculty members who were most vulnerable to stress use less adaptive coping strategies more intensely.

The relevance of research. In modern educational conditions, it is important for applicants to independently regulate academic activities and find solutions to overcome unforeseen negative situations. The purpose of the study is to reveal the correlation between indicators of ways to overcome negative situations and academic self-regulation. Research methods - The experimental research was carried out on the basis of the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University and the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy. The study involved applicants for education in the area 05 Social and Behavioral Sciences of 1, 3 and 5 courses in the number of 244 persons (187 girls and 57 boys). As a diagnostic material we used the questionnaire "Ways to overcome negative situations" and the adaptation questionnaire of academic self-regulation R.M. Ryan and D.R. Connell. Mathematical and statistical methods were applied in data processing. Results. In a pilot study, it was found that the main ways of overcoming negative situations by subjects of educational and professional activities are self-accusations, problem analysis and self-esteem increase. Academic self-regulation is characterized mainly by external and introjective regulation. Conclusions. According to the results of the study of methods to overcome negative situations, it was found that students more often choose coping strategies of self-blame, problem analysis and search for guilty. During their educational and professional activities, students rely on the emotional sphere, which they direct towards themselves or others. At the same time, while analyzing the problem, students try to retire, seek information, find a solution. Academic self-regulation is characterized by external and introjected regulation. All data indicate that subjects of educational and professional activities are capable of self-organizing activities with the help of constructive coping strategies using the development of emotional intelligence for psychological well-being.

The literature on work engagement among prison officers (POs) remains rather scarce, and there are no analyses on the factors determining this phenomenon. The current study aimed to examine the relationships between work engagement, subjective well-being, coping strategies, and organizational factors utilizing the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9), the Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced (COPE), and Cantril’s Ladder of Health Scale (CLHS), and involving 312 POs from Poland and 467 POs from Indonesia. Results showed a statistically significant relationship between active coping and work engagement in both groups. Subjective well-being was moderately related to work engagement among Polish POs. Mean work engagement and subjective well-being scores were higher among Indonesian POs. The analyses showed a significant indirect effect of subjective well-being for the relationship between penitentiary unit type, active coping, as well as avoidant behaviors and work engagement in the Polish group. Closed prison officers more often declared higher subjective well-being. Work engagement is a complex psychological phenomenon. There exists a justified need for the analyses to consider personal determinants (e.g., coping strategies) as well as organizational factors related to the POs’ work environment. The literature presents a broad picture of the benefits of studying this phenomenon.

The problematic field related to middle-aged women’s life construction features characterised by different styles of psychological separation from the mother’s figure, is outlined in the study. The authors proceeded from the following assumptions. 1) There are differences in indicators of psychological well-being in middle-aged women with high and low levels of separation from the mother. 2) The connection between mothers' and daughters' life strategies during adulthood, as manifested by conjugate measures of cognitive-behavioural coping strategies, sense-behavioural orientations and time perspective perception, is type-specific and it depends on the degree of separation. 3) Psychological separation from the mother determines the authors' construction of the adult daughter's life. 170 women from Kostroma and Kostroma Region took part in the study, of whom 85 were adult daughters (M = 33 ± 5.3); and 85, their mothers (M = 58 ± 6.7). The main methods included the "Unfinished Sentences" (Yelena Soldatova, 2007); Dmitriy Leont'yev’s "Life-Meaning Orientation Test" (Dmitriy Leont'yev, 1988); Cognitive Behavioural Coping Strategies Questionnaire (Inessa Sizova, Svetlana Filipchenkova, 2002); Own Life Path Methodology (Igor' Solomin, 2007); the survey Psychological Separation Inventory by Jeffrey A. Hoffman (Tat'yana Sadovnikova, Veronika Dzukayeva, 2014). The study is a combination of nomothetic and idiographic approaches. Conclusions – if the daughter is not psychologically separated from her mother in adulthood, then close conjugation of the mother’s and the daughter’s cognitive-behavioural coping strategies, goal orientations, and life planning features is traceable, which in turn negatively affects the functioning and life functioning of the daughter. Separation from the mother during middle adulthood is crucial for the realisation of a woman's subjective position in constructing and making sense of her own life, for the choice of cognitive-behavioural strategies in difficult situations, for taking personal responsibility.

The article discusses aspects of the application of extrapolation and factor approaches to epidemiological forecasting, outlines the limitations and features of their application in relation to the prediction of morbidity. It is shown that when using an extrapolation approach, it becomes possible to predict the most likely numerical characteristics of morbidity in a certain time perspective. At the same time, the accuracy of the obtained forecast depends on the length of the time series and the type of long-term dynamics of morbidity. In turn, the trends formed by the results of forecasting artificially level the critical levels of morbidity that characterize individual periods of time and are fundamentally important for understanding the real picture. The factor approach is based on the prediction of morbidity levels using a certain set of factors. The difficulty of using the factor approach is noted due to the stochasticity of the epidemic process.Based on the results of a retrospective epidemiological analysis of the personalized morbidity of cadets of the Military Medical Academy, the heterogeneity of military contingents in susceptibility to acute respiratory infections of the upper respiratory tract is shown. From the standpoint of the academician V.D .Belyakov’s et al. theory of the parasitic systems self-regulation, the conclusion is made about the expediency of using a factor approach for epidemiological forecasting of morbidity in organized collectives. It is proposed to use the state of individual resistance as one of the main factors determining the epidemic well-being of organized collectives. The results of the development and testing of an electronic database that allows epidemiological surveillance of the morbidity of trainees and its linear prediction are presented.

The inclusive mixed learning environment is considered as a multifaceted, affordable and flexible system that effectively combines distance and traditional technologies and provides psychological well-being and personality development for all students, regardless of whether they have certain restrictions or not. The article showed the psychological well-being of students with disabilities is determined by environmental (macro factors); socio-psychological (mesofactors); personal characteristics of students, their ability to overcome difficulties (microfactors). It was established that the various components of psychological well-being and students' coping strategies have different significance depending on the specifics of university educational environment. The ability to master various types of activities, effectiveness in coping with difficulties (environmental management) is typical for students of two groups of an inclusive mixad learning environment. Life goals are more shaped in healthy students in an inclusive mixed learning environment. An inclusive environment has been found to be favorable for healthy and disabled students, who, in terms of their psychological well-being, do not differ from healthy students of traditional learning environment and use less constructive coping strategies to a lesser degree. Particular attention should be paid to such characteristic of psychological well-being of students with disabilities as self-acceptance, which distinguishes them from healthy students of the two groups.

The paper focuses on the issues of social support of individuals with disabilities and describes its role in the development and maintenance of subjective well-being of persons in situations of disability. A special external resource for overcoming unfavorable developmental conditions, social support is interlocked in a continuous relationship with psychological resources of personality. One of its distinctive features is that it implies the subject's activity aimed at overcoming difficult life situation on his/her own. When the person's bodily resources are insufficient (as it happens in situations of physical disabilities), the role of macro- and microso¬cial resources in supporting his/her well-being naturally increases. However, when both social and bodily resources are scarce, it is the individual's personality that stands in the gap. The research described in the paper explored the relationship between microsocial resources (support of family and friends, satisfaction with this support) and psychological resources of resistance and self-regulation of personality. The sample consisted of 210 subjects (48 students with disabilities, 162 healthy subjects). The outcomes revealed certain differences between the subsamples with low and high rates of social support which suggest that the subjects' perceptions and evaluations of the support contribute to their psychological resources of coping and self-regulation, acti¬vating and/or reinforcing the existing potential of their personalities.

The article analyzes the interrelationships of conscious self-regulation, psychological well-being, coping strategies and cognitive regulation of emotions in the early and late rehabilitation period in individuals who have undergone high-tech operations on large joints. A sample of 69 people aged 19 to 70 years (46 men and 23 women) collected data twice — immediately after the operation and after a month and a half. The revealed groups with high, medium, and low levels of psychological well-being and conscious selfregulation differ in particularities of using coping strategies, and emotional regulation. Factors contributing to and hindering the improvement of psychological well-being in the postoperative period are identified. High self-regulation supports psychological wellbeing in a difficult period of rehabilitation through the use of strategies for finding social support, planning solutions to problems, and focusing on developing new plans for their lives. This group can positively re-evaluate the events and abandon strategies of escape and catastrophization. The results obtained can be used to create an effective, comprehensive rehabilitation program for people who have undergone high-tech operations.

Young adults face different stressors in their transition to college. Negative emotions such as stress can emerge from the demands they face. This study aimed at gaining an improved understanding of the role that gender and age play in the well-being of young adults. Coping strategies, resilience, self-regulation, and positivity were selected as indicators of well-being. Descriptive and inferential analysis have been conducted. Results show that well-being varies significantly with age and gender. Gender was predominantly involved in the acquisition of the well-being outcomes, highly predicting problem-focused coping strategies. No interaction effects were found between gender and age. An improved understanding of the developmental factors involved in well-being outcomes will enlighten future interventions aimed at improving young people’s resources to face adversity.

Objective: to find factors, i.e. personal qualities, supporting the creation of positive relationships with others and helping a person overcome too high, unhealthy sensitivity to others. Methods: indicator “positive relations with others” from the method studying psychological well-being C. Riff and indicator “sensitivity to others” from Autonomy–Connectedness Scale (ACS–30) of Bekker M.H.J., van Assen M.A.L; General Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer, R., & Jerusalem, M.), Ways of Coping Questionnaire (Folkman and Lazarus), WIPPF, the Personality Views Survey III-R (S. Maddi), Self-Attitude Questionnaire (V.V.Stolin, S.R. Pantileev), Bass Orientation Personal Inventory, Zimbardo Time Perspective Syventory, Quality of Personality’s Life (Chykhantsova O.A.), Bradburn Scale of Psychological Well-Being, The Satisfaction with Life Scale (E. Diener et al.).Results: several personal traits were identified that were positively associated with “positive relations with others” and negatively with “sensitivity to others”. These were self-attitude, hardiness, self-efficacy, ability to cope with a new situation, self-understanding, choice of adaptive coping strategies in difficult situations. “Positive relations with others” were positively associated with intrinsic motivation, feelings of happiness, life satisfaction; and “sensitivity to others”, on the contrary, was positively associated with impersonal motivation and the predominance of negative emotions in life. Conclusions: positive relations with others support a person’s psychological well-being, but only if such relations are built on an equal footing. The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others is influenced by good self-attitude and hardiness. The development of these personal traits is especially useful if the ability to have positive relations is insufficiently developed. In addition, these personal traits will help to get rid of excessive sensitivity to the will, views, thoughts, beliefs that may be imposed by other people. To achieve positive relations on an equal basis, a person must rely on internal motivation, i.e. their own motivation in their actions, and also choose conditionally adequate coping strategies.Key words: positive relations with others, sensitivity to others, self-attitude, hardiness, coping strategies, psychological well-being, motivation.
