The paper discusses the use of non-traditional types of organic waste in vermicomposting in greenhouses on the territory of the middle taiga forest zone of Western Siberia. Experimental studies were carried out in the laboratories of the scientific and educational center and the center for collective use of the Institute of Natural and Technical Sciences of Surgut State University in 20012020. The main objects of the study were brewers grains, waste from the production of the Kristal brewing company in Surgut and wastewater sludge from the treatment facilities of the Gorvodokanal in Surgut. Additionally, the composition of complex composts included sand, office waste paper, waste coffee, food waste, leaf and grass litter, bird droppings and the microbiological additive Tamir. The compost worms of the Eisenia foetida Prospector species were used as vermiculture. 10 juveniles were launched in the first series of experiments and 50 juvenile worms were launched in the second series. The resulting vermicomposting is more effective in quality than the original substrates. The use of the hybrid Prospector can be effectively used in the disposal of non-traditional organic waste. Complex composts mature more efficiently when microbiological additives are added. In the studied substrates the content of heavy metals was reduced to MPC norms.

Целью исследования являлось изучение естественного лесовозобновления в условиях средней тайги таежной лесорастительной зоны РФ на основе массовых данных лесоустройства, в которых отражена информация о ходе естественного лесовозобновления. Поставленная задача была решена с помощью электронной повыдельной базы данных объекта исследования, включающая в себя информацию, необходимую для общей оценки подроста хозяйственно ценных пород. Оценка естественного лесовозобновления была проведена по шкале оценки возобновления. Из общей электронной базы были отобраны все выделы естественного происхождения в возрасте преобладающей породы основного яруса старше 4-го класса возраста, т. е. хвойные старше 80 лет и мягколиственные старше 40 лет. Общий объем выборки составил 6533 выдела площадью 16814,2 га. В целом на 32,7% площади таксационных выделов, наблюдается полное отсутствие подроста хозяйственно ценных пород. Структура породного состава подроста характеризуется практически полным доминированием елового подроста. Оптимальные условия для естественного лесовозобновления ели создаются в черничниках (встречаемость 99,8%) и в кисличниках – встречаемость 98,4%. Максимальный процент подроста с оценкой хорошо по преобладающей на выделе древесной породе (35% от всех выделов с подростом) оказался в сосняках кисличного типа леса в свежих суборях. The aim of the study was to study natural reforestation in the middle taiga of the taiga forest zone of the Russian Federation on the basis of mass forest management data, which reflects information about the progress of preliminary reforestation. The task was solved with the help of an electronic database of the research object, which includes the information necessary for the overall assessment of the undergrowth of economically valuable breeds. The assessment of natural reforestation was carried out on the basis of the renewal assessment scale. From the general electronic database of data, all natural-origin selections were selected at the age of the predominant breed of the main tier older than the 4th age class, i.e. coniferous over 80 years old and softleaved over 40 years old. The total sample size was 6,533 allotments with an area of 16,814. 2 hectares. In general, on 32.7% of the area of taxation allotments, there is a complete absence of undergrowth of economically valuable breeds. The structure of the breed composition of the undergrowth is characterized by almost complete dominance of spruce undergrowth. Optimal conditions for the natural reforestation of spruce are created in blueberry forests (99.8% occurrence) and in acid forests-98.4% occurrence. The maximum percentage of undergrowth with a rating of good for the wood species prevailing in the allotment (35% of all allotments with the adolescent) was found in the pine forests of the acidic forest type in fresh sub-forests.

To speed up the wastewater treatment under aerobic conditions and to optimize the processes of anaerobic wastewater treatment in digesters, immobilization technologies of microorganisms and enzymes on solid carriers are used. Ceramic carriers based on aluminosilicates and alumina are one of the promising inorganic biomass carriers. (Research purpose) To study the structure of porous ceramic biomass carriers for anaerobic processing of organic waste and evaluate the prospects for their use. (Materials and methods) The substrate for anaerobic digestion was a mixture of sediments of the primary and secondary sewage sumps of the Lyubertsy treatment facilities. K-65 cattle feed was used to ensure the constancy of the composition of organic substances in substrates as a cosubstrate. The authors used the method of low-temperature nitrogen adsorption of Bruner-Emmett-Teller to study the pore structure and specific surface of solid carriers on a specific surface analyzer Quntachrome Autosorb-1. (Results and discussion) The main characteristics (specific surface, volume of micro- and mesopores, predominant pore radius, water absorption and others) of chamotte foam lightweight and highly porous corundum ceramics were determined. It was revealed that ceramic materials with a developed surface and electrically conductive material provided an increase in biogas yield by 3.8-3.9 percent with an increase in methane content by an average of 5 percent. (Conclusions) The results of anaerobic digestion showed a positive effect of both a conductive carrier and highly porous ceramic materials on the process of anaerobic bioconversion of organic waste into biogas. It is advisable to expand experimental studies on the use of a conductive carrier with a developed surface based on highly porous ceramics.

Осадки городских очистных канализационных сооружений являются самым массовым технологическим отходом, создающим проблемы утилизации для любого города. Рассмотрены возможные методы обработки осадков сточных вод на городских очистных канализационных сооружениях городского округа Самара с целью их последующей утилизации. Обозначены причины и приведены документальные подтверждениянекорректности возложения ответственности за обращение с такими отходами только на организации водопроводно-канализационного хозяйства. Рассмотрен способ захоронения обезвоженного осадка сточных вод в обвалованном полигоне. Установлено, что обработанные на очистных сооружениях осадки относятся к V классу опасности для окружающей среды. Обработанные, стабилизированные, подсушенные, обезвреженные отходы осадков сточных вод (малоопасный осадок с песколовок при очистке хозяйственно-бытовых и смешанных сточных вод, практически не опасный осадок с песколовок при очистке хозяйственно-бытовых и смешанных сточных вод и избыточный ил биологических очистных сооружений в смеси с сырым осадком) могут быть использованы в качестве наполнителей бетонно-цементных смесей и органоминеральных удобрений или переданы для утилизации сторонним организациям. Sludge from the municipal wastewater treatment facilities is the most massive technological waste that causes trouble for any city. Possible methods of wastewater sludge treatment at the municipal wastewater treatment facilities of the Samara Urban District with the purpose of its further utilization are considered. The reasons are indicated and documentary evidence of the incorrectness of assigning the responsibility for processing such wastes only to the water and wastewater utilities is provided. The method of landfilling dewatered wastewater sludge in a ridged landfill is considered. It has been established that the sludge processed at the wastewater treatment facilities is referred to the V class of environmental hazard. Sludge subjected to the treatment, stabilization, drying and neutralization (low hazardous sludge from grit chambers for domestic and mixed wastewater treatment; almost non-hazardous sludge from grit chambers for domestic and mixed wastewater treatment and excess sludge from biological treatment facilities mixed with raw sludge) can be used as fillers for concrete-cement mixtures and organo-mineral fertilizers or transferred for disposal to outside companies.

Abstract Litter plays an important role in the carbon cycle of forest ecosystems incorporating significant amount of carbon as a result of annual partial die-off of the biomass and releasing it during complex multistage processes of organic matter decomposition. The balance of these processes in the forests of permafrost zone significantly shifts towards the accumulation of dead organic matter. That makes the assessment of litter stock in these ecosystems particularly relevant, especially in relation to the predicted consequences of climate change in the study region. On the territory of middle taiga of Central Siberia, 14 sampling plots were established in the various landforms (slopes of different exposition, lowlands and uplands). The carbon stock in litter of the main forest types of the studied area varied from 0.47 to 4.46 kgC/m2. Also, the paper considers composition of litter accumulated in these ecosystems, including the ratio between fresh litterfall, fermented and humified plant residues, and dead roots. Our results demonstrated that fermented plant residues prevailed in the litter composition in most types of studied forest ecosystems due to specificity of hydrothermal regime and quality of litterfall. The results obtained might be applied to refine the carbon budget of Siberian forests.

Often in construction practice there is a need to strengthen the pile foundation of buildings and structures. The traditional methods include the implementation of additional, as a rule, bored piles with the subsequent erection of a grillage incorporating them into operation. Often, this work has to be done in the conditions of dense urban development, in cramped rooms of the basement, etc., which leads to significant technological difficulties. One of the alternative ways to strengthen pile foundations is the method of high-pressure group injection, which consists in injecting a movable cement-sand mortar into the soil under pressure that exceeds its structural strength. As a result, after its hardening, solid injection bodies are formed at the base, reinforcing the soil base. The article describes the results of experiments to assess the impact of the layout of hard inclusions on the deformability of the soil foundation of the pile foundation model. The experiments were carried out in a small soil tray, which was filled with medium-grained loose sand. The piles were modeled with metal rods, the pile grillage with a metal square stamp. The pile foundation model included 9 piles arranged in a square grid. As injection bodies, gravel grains of various sizes and shapes were used. The studies included 10 series of experiments (each experiment was repeated at least 3 times): the volume of the inclusions used, their sizes, the positioning step in the plan and in depth varied. As a result of the analysis of the performed experiments, conclusions were formulated regarding the purpose of the optimal layout of hard inclusions when strengthening the soil foundation of pile foundations by high-pressure injection of mobile cement-sand mixtures.

The study reports results of research carried out from April to October during 1988–2016 at the Botanical Garden of Petrozavodsk State University (South Karelia, middle taiga subzones). Three introduced species of the genus Larix (Larix sibirica Ledeb., L. leptolepis (Sieb. et Zucc.) Gord, and L. dahurica Turcz. ex Trautv.) were studied. The growth of shoots and needles in different species begins, reaches its culmination, and ends almost simultaneously, differing by no more than one week across the species. L. sibirica shows the highest growth rate. The timing of growth, culmination, and the dynamics of growth of shoots and needles are largely determined by variations in precipitation, temperature, and humidity. The direction and strength of such an effect may vary from year to year. The dates of phenological phases of the Larix species studied here are chiefly determined by the air temperature in the current growing season and the dates of formation of wintering buds in the previous growing season. Bud swelling and opening begins almost simultaneously in the studied species. Most of the other phenological phases begin and end earliest in L. sibirica and latest in L. leptolepis. All the studied species, primarily L. sibirica, are promising for residential landscaping and creation of artificial plant communities in Karelia

Summary. The aimof the study is to develop a method of sealing the sutured of the small intestine anastomosis in conditions of high risk anastomosis leakege by stopping the inflammation’ cascade in experiment. Materials and methods.The work was experimental in nature, was performed in the SI «ZIGUS NAMSU» in collaboration with the Scientific Research Institute of Biology V. N. Karazin KhNU in the period from 2018 to 2019. To increase the tightness of the intestinal anastomoses applied under conditions of laparatomy, experimental studies were conducted on laboratory animals. The studies were carried out after the permission of the ethics committee SI «ZIGUS NAMSU» in compliance with all ethical requirements for the humane treatment of animals.Surgical operations in two series of experiments were performed under operating conditions under general anesthesia on 10 white sexually mature linear rats – Wistar males, 12-18 months old, weighing about 250 grams. All morphological material (the first and second series of experiments) was marked and fixed in a 10% solution of neutral formalin. Subsequently, paraffin sections were prepared according to the generally accepted histotechnical method and stained with hematoxylin - eosin; according to Van Gieson and Mallory, an immunohistochemical study was used to study microenvironment factors. Results and Discussion. Immunohistochemical examination of the intestine was carried out in several stages, at the first stage we took intestinal tissue during the surgery to form the intestinal anastomosis, before the introduction of allogeneic cell transplants. Also carried out immunohistochemical studies of the emerging mucous membrane at various times after the formation of insolvency of intestinal anastomoses in both studied groups. When using a cell allograft, the mechanisms of repair of the intestinal mucosa include the appearance of cells that carry the expression of markers of mesenchymal and epithelial differentiation (Vim, CD34, CKW, Ecad), and are usually localized in the walls of blood vessels of granulation tissue, as well as in areas of the repairing epithelium. In addition, in the main group, only 7 days after the reaction to cytokeratins (CKW) and Ecad, areas of the repairing epithelium were detected, while the visualization of the epithelium in the control group did not begin even after 10 days. The analysis of immunophenotypes of repairing cells allows us to suggest the participation of mesenchymal-epithelial transformation mechanisms in this process. Conclusions.Thus, studies have shown that the use of cell transplantation of culture of allogeneic cells of the intestine leads to the reconstruction of the intestinal mucosa in a fairly short time. Conducted histological and immunohistochemical studies showed that in the vast majority of animals (77.2%) 10-14 days after the operation, an almost unchanged mucous membrane forms with the preservation of its elasticity.

The goal of the fulfilled research is the study of the influence of the sedimentary suspension from the dredging material on the benthic hydrobionts. In laboratory aquariums six series of experiments were carried out with triple replication on the ability of different benthic organisms to dig out the soil strata due to their periodic burying by marine sand. These experiments were oriented on biota of Eastern Gulf of Finland and the Neva Bay, where a number of deposit sites for dredging material are located presently. Representatives of three main groups of hydrobionts of these areas were selected for experiments – Chironomidae, Gastropoda and Oligochaeta. The ability of different hydrobiont species to overcome the stress effect of the burying under the dredged material was estimated quantitatively. The results show, that the resistance of the studied species to mechanical burying is decreasing in accordance to the scheme: Chironomus plumosus > Melanoides tuberculata > Tubifex tubifex, and depends from the thickness of the layer of dredged material.

The first step degradation of particulate organic waste is solubilization. In a bioreactor, solubilization occurs due to enzymatic hydrolysis. As an alternative, the use of chemical solubilization methods may provide a means of more efficiently solubilizing the particulates to a form that can be readily utilized by a biological treatment system. In this study, an industrial waste high in particulate organic content was used as a test substrate. The chemical pretreatment methods tested were alkaline hydrolysis, oxidation, and a mixture of hydrolysis and oxidation. Experimental studies to elucidate the effects of chemical pretreatment on the characteristics of particulate organics are discussed in this paper.
