Science is a field of study that is closely related to daily life. However, students are less skilled and have difficulty connecting science concepts with problem-solving in their environment. This article is a Define phase that aims to describe how to apply life skills and understand, feel, and trace from the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara on integrated science-based digital worksheets in science learning. Data collection techniques using documentation that is from the study of literature about integrated science, lifeskill and the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara. Integrated science-based digital worksheets that are developed by applying life skills and ngerti, ngrasa, nglakoni can be displayed with a variety of innovative learning models. Application of the steps of the model will be able to bring up the type of life skills that are developed and also develop tringo in the learning activities of students.

This study started from the problems that the author finds in class VIII-L SMP Negeri 29 Bandung where most students have not shown the character of social care. They are less concerned about others seen from behavior, such as: lack of respect to others, and less attention to the teachers and other students. Students seem individualistic and annoy or taunt their classmates with harsh words. From these findings, the author chose to do classroom action research (PTK) with Kemmis and Taggart model. Data analysis technique is qualitative and quantitative. In this study, the author makes observation as much as three cycles. In this study, value clarification technique (VCT) learning model is chosen to guide students to understand, clarify, and implement social care values in daily life including at class. In attempt to improve the students social care character, the author selects five indicators adjusted to the problems found at class. Based on the study that has been conducted, the result is obtained that: first, the planning that has been prepared by the author works well; second, the implementation of the VCT learning model is conducted three cycles with one action in the cycles 1 and 2 and two actions in cycle 3; third, it reflects the obstacles experienced by each cycle; fourth, the results obtained after implementing the VCT model to cycle 3 show that the students social care character has increased.

Science learning outcomes such as science process skills and attitudes toward science are still important issues in science education. In this study the researchers tried to get a picture of the students' learning outcomes to get input on the learning process of science in the coastal area. As an initial study of the development of maritime-based contextual science learning media, the purpose of this research is to know the extent of science process skill level, attitude toward science, and academic achievement of students in coastal area. There were 114 students of the 8th grade of four lower secondary schools in Merbau Island participated as respondents in this study. Instruments used in data collection are science process skills tests and attitude toward science questionnaires for lower secondary school students. The results showed that 8th grade lower secondary school students in Merbau Island had high attitude toward science. On the contrary, the science process skills and academic achievement of their science are relatively low.

ABSTRACTThis community service activity is carried out to improve the ability to use the IPA Integrated Instrument Components (IIC) experimental set to explore the student basic concepts of physics through experiment-based learning. This activity was carried out at SMPN 2 Sekotong West Lombok Regency with participants from physics teachers and 8th-grade students. The method that used is direct instruction, cooperative learning and discussion. The experimental set used is the IPA IIC for the materials of Mechanics, Heat and Hydrostatic, Optics, and Magnetic Electricity. In this activity, participants gain knowledge about experimental based learning methods and skills of assembling and modifying science KITs that can be used to support science learning. Thus, science learning will be fun learning and it is expected to increase student interest and learning achievement. Keywords: IIC; physics concept; experiment; skills; learning interest.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of frequency of out-school learningactivities and learning motivation towards improving students' natural science learningachievement. This research is quantitative research with an ex-post facto approach. Thesubjects in the study were 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Mataram in the academicyear at 2018/2019 with a total of 260 people. Data collection of science learningoutcomes is obtained from daily tests from teachers in schools while data collectionof the frequency of out-school learning activities and learning motivation is obtainedusing a questionary. The effect of frequency of out-school learning activities and learningmotivation on learning achievement of science are analyzed using analysis of covariance(ANAKOVA). The results of the study show that: 1) the frequency of out-school learningactivities has a significant influence on science learning achievement; 2) student's learningmotivation has a significant effect on science learning achievement, and 3) there is aninteraction between the frequency of out-school learning activities and learning motivationon students' learning achievement in science. The frequency of out-school learningactivities and learning motivation is proven have effect on science learning achievement.

Laboratory activities are important of science learning at any level. At the elementary school lab work needs to be done in the context of daily life in order to training scientific literacy. This study aims to determine how the teacher's perspective on science teaching in primary schools in Sukabumi, West Java in the academic year 2015/2016. Research methods such as survey, data analysis quantitatively and qualitatively. Data collection  used is a kuosioner sheet and interview guides to explore the teacher's perspective grade 4 and 5 primary school in implementing and understanding the context-based practicum. The results  showed all the teachers (100%) stated the laboratory activities is important to be implemented, but most of the teachers (75%) stated the laboratory activities difficult to implemented. Teachers argued do not understand the practicum as an activity that can be done simply based on the context of everyday life in an effort to train science literacy (97%). The results of the elementary teacher's perspective is able to provide precise information about the condition of learning science as a material improvement regarding practical learning becomes more meaningful. Keywords: practical laboratory, context, Scientific Literacy

The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of the science-technology-engineering and mathematics integrated argumentation based science learning approach on the resolution of daily life problems and the change of high-level thinking skills. Mixed method was used in the research. Quantitative data were collected with a single group pre-test–post-test experimental design. Qualitative data were gathered with document review and daily life problem determination form. The data presented with descriptive and content analysis, frequency, percentage and Wilcoxon signed rank test techniques. A homogeneous sample was used in the study and was carried out with a randomly chosen class in a mountain village secondary school. From the analysis of the daily life problems before and after the implementation, it was observed a positive change in the participants thinking on the identification and solution of daily life problems. Also, the unresolved problem factor determined for the land factor in hazelnut transportation is removed after the application. Keywords: STEM-integrated ABSL approach, STEM education, argumentation, daily life problems, reflective thinking.* ADDRESS
