Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat dicapai dengan model yang tepat, beberapa diantaranya menggunakan model Group Investigation dan Problem Based Learning. Berdasarkan kelebihan kedua model maka penulis meneliti perbedaan hasil Group Investigation dengan Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan mencari tahu manakah yang lebih tinggi. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen semu, pelaksanaanya dengan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MA Nurul Ulum Malang. Kelas eksperimen 2 (X IIS 3) perlakuan Problem Based Learning dan kelas eksperimen 2 (X IIS 4) perlakuan Group Investigation. Hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa rata-rata gain score di kelas eksperimen 1 adalah 34,60, sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 adalah 27,05. Analisis menggunakan uji Independent t-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,045 < 0,050 maka H0 ditolak, membuktikan bahwa ada perbedaan kedua model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Spasial Based Learning Model has provided an alternative to Geography learning. SBL model can teach and improve critical thinking skill. This research was aimed to increase the ability to think critically through SBL model. The study design used a quasi-experiment with the design of pretest-posttest, nonequivalent control group design. The participants are students of Senior High School XI S.1 and XI S.2 of SMA Negri 1 Atambua. The results of the independent sample t-test supported by SPSS 16.00 for windows show that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 smaller than 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that there was a significant effect of the SBL model on students' critical thinking abilities. It means that an increase in critical thinking skill is a consequence of learning through the SBL model.</p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Model <em>Spasial Based Learning </em>telah memberikan alternatif pada pembelajaran geografi. Model SBL dapat membelajarkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir secara kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan <em>quasi experiment </em>dengan desain <em>pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group desing. </em>Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI S.1 dan XI S.2 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua. Hasil uji independent sample<em> t-test </em>dengan bantua <em>SPSS 16.00 for windows</em> menunjukan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini berarti peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan konsekuensi pembelajaran melalui model SBL.

Abstract – The aim of this research is to know the impact of the applying of problem-based learning with animation toward the critical thinking skill and result of learning physics of student of SMAN 5 Mataram academic year 2016/2017. This research is belong to quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group design. The population is all student of XI MIPA at SMAN 5 Mataram, while the sample are class XI MIPA 4 as the experimental class, and the XI MIPA 6 as control class. The sample taken by the random sampling. The collect of data is done by give the test, 20 multiple choice to knowing the result of learning phyisics and 5 essay for knowing the student’s critical thinking skill. The collected data has been analyzed by using the -test. The result of this research shows that (1) there is an impact of the applying of problem-based learning with animation toward the student’s critical thinking skill that includes the ability in: (a) focusing the question, (b) analyzing the argument/identificating the reason, (c) inducing and considering the result of induction, (d) evaluating the result of consideration, (e) giving the reason; (2) there is an impact of the applying of problem-based learning with animation toward the student’s result of learning physics that includes the result of learning in the cognitif area that follow the Bloom’s taxonomy, that is C1 till C6 (remembering, knowing, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating).

This research aims to examine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to students’ critical thinking skill and learning outcome. It was conducted on the 11th graders of social science program at SMAN 6 Malang. The research material was the problems of demography. Research method was quasi experiment with non equivalent control group design. The data analysis used t-test technique. The research result showed that PBL learning model affected students’ critical thinking skill and learning outcome in SMAN 6 Malang. The average gain score of experimental class is 33.10, higher than control class, which is 16.24. The result of t-test analysis is 0.000 smaller than the significance of 0.05. It is suggested that PBL becomes one of aalternative teaching models that could be implemented to enhance students critical thingking skill.

Problem based learning supports students to have an ability to solve problems in real life, so that students’ critical thinking skill is structurally able to appear and is examined well. By problem based learning, students are able construct their own knowledges. This research is held in elementary school using true experimental with test post-test control group design. It uses quantitative descriptive approach. The data of critical thinking skill indicates that problem based learning does not affect significantly toward students’ critical thinking. The data of learning outcomes is analyzed by using t-test in 5 % signification level. The calculation result using t-test gains tcount = 2, 533. This value is consulted to ttable with db = 54 in 5 % signification level, so that it gains ttable = 2,005. It gains tcount>ttable (2,533 > 2,005). Based on its result, it can be concluded that problem based learning affects students’ learning result, unlike students’ critical thinking skill.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan: 1) motivasi belajar IPA dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa secara bersama-sama antara siswa yang belajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Think Pair Share berbantuan Multimedia Interaktif (TPSMI), Think Pair Share (TPS) dan Pembelajaran Langsung (PL). 2) motivasi belajar IPA antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif TPSMI, TPS dan PL, 3keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif TPSMI, TPS dan PL. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Non Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah empat jurusan siswa kelas X SMK N 1 Singaraja. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik ClusterRandom Sampling dan terpilih satu jurusan dengan tiga kelas sebagai sampel. Sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas X A UPW sebagai kelompok kontrol yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung, X B UPW sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang belajar menggunakan model TPSMI, dan X C UPW sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang belajar dengan model TPS. Pengumpulan data menggunakan 2 jenis tes, yaitu tes motivasi belajar IPA dikumpulkan dengan kuisioner motivasi belajar IPA yang sudah divalidasi dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yang telah divalidasi. Data dikumpulkan pada akhir perlakuan untuk selanjutnya dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan Uji MANCOVA dengan skor pre-tes motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis awal sebagai kovariat kemudian dilanjutan dengan uji LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar IPA dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPSMI, TPS dan PL. (2) terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar IPA yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model TPSMI, TPS dan PL. Critical thinking skill of students is affected by many factors, including the learning model. There are many kinds of learning model; one of it is cooperative learning model with student facilitator and explaining type. This article discussed the results of research on the application of the student facilitator and explaining model in improving critical thinking skill of students in introduction of office administration subject. This study used a quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group design. The results of conducted research showed a positive and significant difference in the application of the cooperative learning model with student facilitator and explaining type to improve critical thinking skill of learners.ABSTRAKKemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya adalah model pembelajaran,dimana model pembelajaran ini banyak sekali macamnya salah satunya adalah model cooverarative learning tipe student facilitator and eksplaining. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian tentang penerapan model student facilitator and eksplaining dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran pengantar administrasi perkantoran. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang positif dan signifikan dalam penerapan model pembelejaran kooperatif tipe student facilitator and eksplaining untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran IPA berbasis potensi lokal Jepara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMPN 1 Bangsri Jepara. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi ekspreimen dengan cluster random sampling dan pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah RPP dan LKPD berbasis potensi lokal Jepara serta soal keterampilan berpikir kritis yang telah valid melalui validasi ahli, praktisi dan teman sejawat. Aktivitas pembelajaran IPA pada penelitian ini memungkinkan peserta didik memperoleh pengalaman secara langsung melalui interaksi dengan pelaku wirausaha pembuatan gerabah dan mebel Jepara sebagai bagian potensi lokal Jepara yang berkaitan dengan materi pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam menyambut era globalisasi saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis potensi lokal Jepara efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMPN 1 Bangsri Jepara. <p class="Abstrak"><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to determine the differences in the ability to think critic of elementary school students by applying the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Conventional. This type of research that is a quasi-experimental design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Number of respondents 72 students, 36 students in grade control (conventional) and the experimental class of 36 students (PBL). Instruments used the descriptions written tests. Based on research results using the Independent Sample T-Test results obtained 0.000 &lt;0.05. This means that there are difference significant between critical thinking skills in the classroom with the conventional model and PBL. These results are supported by the acquisition of the average yield of critical thinking skills acquisition experimental class with a mean = 14.2, while the control class to get mean = 12.4. So it could be concluded that there were significant differences of critical thinking skills class with PBL and conventional models.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir ktitis siswa SD dengan menerapakan model <em>Problem Baased Learning</em> (<em>PBL</em>) dan <em>Konvensional</em>. Jenis penelitian ini yakni kuasi eksperimen berdesain <em>Nonequivalent Control Group Design. </em>Jumlah responden 72 siswa, 36 siswa kelas kontrol (dengan konvensional) dan 36 siswa kelas eksperimen (dengan PBL). Instrumen yang dipakai yakni tes tulis uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan <em>Independent Sample T-Test </em>diperoleh hasil 0,000 &lt; 0,05. Hal tersebut berarti ada perbedaan yang significan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelas dengan model konvensional dan PBL. Hasil tersebut didukung dengan perolehan hasil rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen dengan perolehan rerata = 14,2 sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan rerata = 12,4. Sehingga bisa disimpulkan ada perbedaan signifikan keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas dengan model PBL dan konvensional.

The objective of this research was to know the effect of  alone learning to the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability in SMA Teladan 1 Metro. This research applied quasy experimental with non-equvalent control group design. The population of this research is allow students of class X SMA Teladan 1 Metro on academic year 2009/2010. The samples of this research were class XA as experimental (alone learning) and class XB as control (conventional). The instrument of this research namely critical thinking and problem solving test. This research data are quantitative data consisted by score capacity critical thinking and problem solving ability to river ecosystem, collected on 15 january until 12 Juni 2010. Data were analysed by bilinear covariant statistical analysis (Ancova), continued with LSD test. The result of this research indicated that there were an effect of alone learning strategy toward the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability. Student with alone learning strategy having critical thinking higher 80,111% than conventional learning. Beside, student with alone learning strategy having 11,124% higher than convensional learning. Based on this research, the researcher suggest to the teacher that this strategy can implemented in biology learning. Kata Kunci: Belajar Mandiri, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah.

Abstrak: Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dan Pertanyaan Socratik untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pertanyaan Socraticuntuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP. Penelitian kuasi eksperimental ini menggunakan nonequivalent control group design, dengan melibatkan 273 siswa dari empat SMP di Buleleng, Bali. Dua kelas diambil dari masing-masing sekolah, satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung, dan satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimenyang diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pertanyaan Sokratik. Data dianalisi dengan menggunakan Ancova pada taraf signifikansi 5%.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pertanyaan Sokratik lebih efektif jika dibanding dengan model pembelajaran langsung untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pertanyaan Socratik, berpikir kritis Abstract: A Problem-Based Teaching Model and The Socratic Question to Improve Students’ Critical Thinking Skill. This study was aimed to test the effectivenessof the problem-based teaching model and the Socratic questions to improve the students’ critical thinking skill in the science subject at the junior high school. This quasi-experimental study employed the nonequivalent control group design, involving 273 students from four junior high schools in Buleleng, Bali. Twoclasses were taken from each school, one as the control group taught using the direct teaching model and one as the experimental group taught using the problembasedteaching model and the Socratic questions. The data were analyzed using the Ancova analysis at the significance level of 0.05. The findings showed that the problem-based teaching model and the Socratic questions were more effective thanthe direct teaching model in improving the students’ critical thinking skill.Keywords: problem-based teaching, Socratic question, critical thinking
