This study aims to analyze game-based entrepreneurship learning conducted on vocational high school students in facing Industry 4.0. This research used a literature review method with descriptive analysis through the provision of clear, factual, logical, and systematic discussion. This research used content analysis. The results of this study suggest that technology implementation is unquestionably required in the entrepreneurship learning process for the attainment of students' competences in the 4.0 Industry. Those competencies include social skills, one of the cross-functional skills, in the 4.0 Industry era that can be implemented through social entrepreneurship. In addition, game-based learning is effective to be applied to offer new different learning experiences. Those experiences are 1) learning by doing, 2) reflective learning, 3) situated learning, and 4) learning from crises. This learning is an alternative solution to prepare vocational high school students to encounter the 4.0 Industry.

This research aimed to find out the influence of students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all Grade X students in Yogyakarta which total number were 180 respondents. The data collecting technique was using questionnaires which then was analyzed using descriptive analysis and regression. The results of this study were (1) Students’ interests in choosing mechanical engineering vocational program was high. (2) There was a positive and significant influence from students’ own understanding, family, school, and society towards students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program, (3) The four variables, together, have positive and significant influences towards vocational high school students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program in Yogyakarta..

The purpose of the research is to describe Student Company program and its effect on entrepreneurial competencies of vocational high school students in Yogyakarta. This research is expost facto study. The research was conducted at SMK 1 Depok, SMK 2Depok, SMK 1 Godean, SMK 7 Yogyakarta and SMK 1 Seyegan. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and observation. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of this study were: (1) Student company was effective to improve the entrepreneurship competencies of vocational high school students in Yogyakarta. The effectiveness of planning aspects was in excellent category (42.11%), the implementation aspects was in the good category (35.79%), and the effectiveness of the controls was in the good category (48.42%). (2) Entrepreneurship competencies of students who took SC were in the good category (56.84%). (3) The planning aspect of student company has significant effect on the entrepreneurship competencies of students (t=2.954;Sig= 0.004). (4) The implementation aspects have significant effect on the entrepreneurship competencies of students (t= 3.627;Sig=0.000). (5) The control aspect does not have significant effect on the entrepreneurship competencies of students (t=0.573;Sig=0.568). (6) The aspects of planning, implementation, and control simultaneously have a significant effects on the entrepreneurship competence of vocational high school students in Yogyakarta (F=8.755;Sig =0.000).

Abstract. In Indonesia, Vocational High Schools (VHSs) are designed to prepare graduates for a specific job. Selecting the types of English that suits the needs of vocational students is paramount importance to support their vocational skill in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This study aims to reveal: (1) Vocational High School (VHS) students’ English perceived needs, (2) VHS students’ career aspirations toward study program they are taking, (3) the effect of students’ perception of their English program (EGP and ESP) on their career aspirations, and (4) the differences in the students’ perception of their English program (EGP and ESP) by demographic variables (gender and study program). This was quantitative research in the form of a correlational study. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, multiple regression, and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The findings indicated that:  (1) Most VHS students' English perceived need was ESP. Nevertheless, it was also undeniable that they also still needed EGP for their English before they took ESP. (2) Most VHS students did not have mature career aspirations related to the study program they were taking at vocational high school. (3) Furthermore, there was a significant effect of students' perception (EGP and ESP) on their career aspirations. (4) Regarding differences between male and female's perception of English program and differences in students’ study program, the results of this study revealed significant differences among them.                                                                                   Keywords: Career Aspiration, EGP, ESP, Perception

This study aims to determine the contributions of career guidance and parents support to the vocational high school students' work readiness. This research is survey. The sampling technique used a proportional random sampling method. The data collection used the questionnaire method to obtain career guidance data, support parents, and students’ work readiness. The data analysis included descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis including normality test, linearity test, and multi-collinearity test, and multiple analysis with F-test, determination test, and partial correlation analysis. The results showed that (1) career guidance and parents’ support influenced positively and significantly to work readiness of vocational students, (2) career guidance influenced positively and significantly to work readiness of students in vocational school, and (3) the parental support influenced positively and significantly on work readiness of students in vocational high schools.

Abstract Implementation of demonstration method in the teaching of chemistry is assigned as the right strategy to improve students’ achievement as it is proved that the method can bring an abstract concept to reality in the class. The study is conducted to vocational high school students in SMKN1 Pargetteng getteng Sengkut Pakfak Barat at accademic year 2013. The teaching has been carried out three cycles on the teaching of chemistry topic of colloid system. In the study, the class is divided into two class, experiment class and control class. The demontration method is used to teach students in experimental class while the teaching in control class is conducted with lecture method. Both are evaluated by using multiple choise tests before and after the teaching procedures, and the ability of students to answer the problems are assigned as students’ achievements. The results showed that demonstration method improved students’ achievement in chemistry. The students in experimental class who are taughed with demonstration method (M=19.08±0.74) have higher achievements compare with control class (M=12.91±2.52), and both are significantly different (tcalculation 22.85 > ttable 1.66). The effectivity of demostration method in experimental class (97%) is found higer compare to conventional method in control class (91%).
