Design of the red ginger powder production machine aims to increase UMKM(Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah) in the Yogyakarta area. By making a semiautomatic red ginger powder machine, it can increase production capacity and improve the economy for UMKM. Component design is divided into 3 processes, namely; designing the frame, designing the stirring shaft, and designing the cooking tank. There are first adjusted to the design that has been made using the solid works software which is then applied by assembling other components. The drive system on the powdered red ginger production machine uses an AC electric motor which is then forwarded into the v-belt transmission then the output from the transmission is forwarded to the stirring shaft.

Has done design tool is a tool of refined coconut oil coconut grater, squeezer coconut milk and coconut oil heating, with the aim to streamline the time of making coconut oil and coconut oil increase production capacity. The research method consists of several stages, among others; image creation tool, procurement of materials research, cutting the material - the material framework of tools and performance test tools. The parameters observed during the performance test tools is time grated coconut, coconut milk bleeder capacity, the capacity of the boiler and the heating time of coconut oil. The design tool consists of three parts, namely a tool shaved coconut, coconut milk wringer and coconut milk heating devices. Materials used for the framework of such tools include iron UNP 6 meters long, 7.5 cm wide, 4 mm thick, while the motor uses an electric motor 0.25 HP 1430 rpm and to dampen the rotation electric motor rotation used gearbox with a ratio of round 1 : 60. the results of the design ie the time required for coconut menyerut average of 297 seconds, coconut milk wringer capacity of 5 kg of processes and using gauze pads to filter coconut pulp, as well as the heating process takes ± 2 hours with a capacity of 80 kg , The benefits of coconut oil refined tools are stripping time or split brief coconut average - average 7 seconds and coconut shell can be used as craft materials, processes extortion coconut milk quickly so the production capacity increased and the stirring process coconut oil mechanically.ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan rancang bangun alat olahan minyak kelapa yaitu alat pemarut kelapa, pemeras santan kelapa dan pemanas minyak kelapa, dengan tujuan untuk mengefisiensikan waktu pembuatan minyak kelapa serta meningkatkan kapasitas produksi minyak kelapa. Metode penelitian terdiri dari beberapa tahapan antara lain; pembuatan gambar alat, pengadaan bahan-bahan penelitian, pemotongan bahan - bahan rangka alat dan uji unjuk kerja alat. Parameter yang diamati pada saat uji unjuk kerja alat adalah waktu parut kelapa, kapasitas pemeras santan kelapa, kapasitas tungku pemanas serta waktu pemanasan minyak kelapa. Rancangan alat terdiri dari tiga bagian yaitu alat penyerut kelapa, alat pemeras santan kelapa dan alat pemanas santan kelapa. Bahan yang dipergunakan untuk rangka alat tersebut  yaitu besi UNP panjang 6 meter, lebar 7,5 cm, tebal 4 mm, sedangkan untuk motor penggerak menggunakan motor listrik 0,25 HP 1430 rpm dan untuk meredam putaran putaran motor listrik dipergunakan gearbox  dengan perbandingan putaran 1 : 60. Hasil dari rancangan tersebut yaitu waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk menyerut kelapa rata-rata 297 detik, kapasitas alat pemeras santan kelapa 5 kg sekali proses dan menggunakan kain kassa untuk menyaring ampas kelapa, serta Proses pemanasan membutuhkan waktu ± 2 jam dengan kapasitas 80 kg. Adapun keunggulan alat olahan minyak kelapa ini adalah waktu pengupasan atau belah kelapa singkat rata – rata 7 detik dan tempurung kelapa dapat digunakan sebagai bahan kerajinan, proses pemerasan santan kelapa cepat sehingga kapasitas produksi meningkat dan proses pengadukan minyak kelapa secara mekanis. Kata kunci : penyerut, pemeras, pemanas,minyak kelapa,olahan minyak kelapa.

Electric motor drive systems (EMDS) have been recognized as one of the most promising motor systems recently due to their low energy consumption and reduced emissions. With only some exceptions, EMDS are the main source for the provision of mechanical energy in industry and accounts for about 60% of global industrial electricity consumption. Large energy efficiency potentials have been identified in EMDS with very short payback time and high-cost effectiveness. Typical, during operation at rated mode, the motor drive able to hold its good efficiencies. However, a motor usually operates out from rated mode in many applications, especially while under light load, it reduced the motor’s efficiency severely. Hence, it is necessary that a conventional drive system to embed with loss minimization strategy to optimize the drive system efficiency over all operation range. Conventionally, the flux value is keeping constantly over the range of operation, where it should be highlighted that for any operating point, the losses could be minimize with the proper adjustment of the flux level to a suitable value at that point. Hence, with the intention to generate an adaptive flux level corresponding to any operating point, especially at light load condition, an online learning Artificial Neural Network (ANN) controller was proposed in this study, to minimize the system losses. The entire proposed strategic drive system would be verified under the MATLAB/Simulink software environment. It is expected that with the proposed online learning Artificial Neural Network controller efficiency optimization algorithm can achieve better energy saving compared with traditional blended strategies.

This paper analyzed the noise distribution of three pulleys and one belt system theoretically and experimentally. Aiming at the influence of the tensioner on the transmission noise of the synchronous belt, on the premise of theoretical analysis of the influence of the tensioner on the transmission noise of the synchronous belt, the noise test of the synchronous belt transmission system with and without the tensioner was carried out under the same experimental conditions. Based on the principle of acoustic array measurement, a three-pulley and one belt noise test device was designed. The noise pressure distribution nephogram and amplitude–frequency characteristic curve were obtained by noise tests at different speeds. Through the comparison of the results of two groups of tests, the influence rule of the tensioner on the transmission noise of the synchronous belt was obtained. The results show that the tensioner can effectively avoid the resonance of the synchronous belt, and the noise amplitude of the three-pulley and one belt drive system is 3 dB higher after the tensioner is installed. It provides a basis for vibration and noise reduction of the engine timing transmission system.

Electric and hybrid vehicles are emerging rapidly in the automotive market as alternatives to the traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) driven vehicles to meet stringent emission standards, environmental and energy concerns. Recently, Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) have been introduced in many countries including India. One configuration of a HEV is the Series Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV). The design and analysis of the drive system of a SHEV under Indian conditions is the focus of this paper. In conventional vehicles, the ICE is the power source that drives the vehicle. The energy from the ICE is distributed to the wheels through the transmission, which is then used to generate the traction force at the tyre-road interface. In a HEV, both the engine and the electric motor provide the energy to drive the vehicle. In a SHEV, the energy generated by the electric motor is transmitted through the transmission to meet the torque demand at the wheels. Based on the driver’s acceleration demand and the state of charge of the battery, the controller manages the ICE, the generator and the battery to supply the required energy to the motor. The motor finally develops the required drive torque to generate the traction force at the wheels to meet the vehicle drive performance requirements like gradeability, acceleration and maximum speed. The objective of this paper is to discuss the design of the drive system of a SHEV. This involves the calculation of the power specifications of the electric motor based on the vehicle drive performance requirements. The equations for performing these calculations are presented. The procedure is then demonstrated by considering a typical Indian commercial vehicle along with its typical vehicle parameter values. A simulation study has also been performed by considering the Indian drive cycle to demonstrate the energy savings obtained by the use of a SHEV.

THE UTILIZATION OF RED GINGER POWDER (Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum) ON ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTIC OF MUTTON MEATBALLS. This study was conducted to evaluate the utilization of red ginger powder on the organoleptic characteristic of mutton meatballs. The materials used were fresh mutton meat on the hamstrings, tapioca flour, salt, flavoring, garlic, pepper, red ginger powder, ice cubes and processing equipment tools. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design of five treatments with 30 replications. The treatment was 300 g of meat and 0 g red ginger powder (R0), 300 g of meat and 1.5 g red ginger powder (R1), 300 g of meat and 3.0 g red ginger powder (R2), 300 g of meat and 4.5 g red ginger powder (R3), and 300 g of meat and 6 g red ginger powder (R4). Organoleptic testing performed was using the hedonic quality test. The variables measured consisted of color, flavor, taste and elasticity of meatballs. Determination of the average difference among treatments was done by Tukey (HSD) test. The results showed that the treatments affected significantly on flavor and taste. However, treatments did not affect significantly on color and elasticity of meatballs. The use of 3g red ginger powder could provide acceptance levels on organoleptic characteristic of mutton meatballs. Keywords: Mutton meat, red ginger, Meatballs

Husk is a waste from the grinding process with the characteristics of a hard, scaly and dry layer. In the rice milling process, according to the Agricultural Research and Development Agency, the Department of Agriculture obtained 20-30% of rice husk, 8-12% of bran and 50 - 63.5% of milled rice. It can be seen that the amount of waste produced is predominantly dominated by rice husk and if not handled it will be a problem for the environment. One effort to reduce the form of waste was carried out research design of rice husk grinding machine become powder. The implementation method starts with designing, manufacturing and testing. The design of the grinding machine is planned to use a fuel motor drive, the transmission uses a V belt and the type of grinder is a combination of discmill and hammermill.The results of research and design obtained rice husk grinding machine with specifications dimensions of 1100 mm high, 400 mm long and 500 mm wide, Hyundai gasoline engine drive HDE 390 with power 7.6 kW, elbow profile frame 50 mm x 50 mm, belt transmission and pulley with a ratio of 1: 1, a combination milling mechanism namely hammer mills which have 3 single hammer attrition mills and a front through grinder with the help of screw conveyor components. The test results of the grinding machine capacity obtained a production capacity of 10 kg / hour, and fuel consumption which is 2.162 liters / hour.
