The article attempts to ground the importance of developing by the future translators/interpreters dealing in specialized translation the skill of consideration of peculiarities of a communicative situation of specialized translation. The necessity of developing this important translation skill seems natural since it is dictated by the circumstances of realizability of translation activity which is always carried out in a certain communicative situation. The particularity of each communicative situation of specialized translation conditions the linguistic composition of a target text which may vary from one communicative situation to another from either the formal and structural or contextual and conceptual point of view. To prove the fairness of his assertions the author, in particular, appeals to the concept of terminological synonymy/terminological doublet reflection and studies it through the prism of theoretical principles of communicative and functional approach to translation. Such a translatological view of the synonymy/doublet reflection helps the author to find a balance between opposite ways of understanding of this concept by various terminologists and offer a general translatological definition of doublet terms. This definition is fully responsive to a whole variety of communicative situations of specialized translation the particularity of which in each single case instead of a source standardized term may condition in a target language the use of its doublet represented by a professionalism, substandard language unit, conversation vocabulary unit, jargonism, dialectism, slang. Such real life examples of fulfilling professional translation activity as well as others worth becoming subjects of separate researches which contribute to the confirmation of the fact that the translators/interpreters behavior, the progress of a translation process and its result depend on the peculiarities of a certain communicative situation of specialized translation, should be taken into account when teaching students translation from the very first practical studies of specialized translation. Securing the achievement of the goal of acquiring by the students the ability of analyzing and considering the particularity of the given communicative situation in which he/she is supposed to make a translation of a specialized text should be listed among the competencies of a translator trainer.

Translation issues have long been in the field of view of translators and philologists-researchers. The focus was on the definition of the translation process in view of its psychological and lexical-semantic features and its perception as a certain creative action. The translation process is always functionally and thematically defined and controlled. Its main purpose is to provide the necessary information and establish communication between people of different languages and cultures. Considering translation as an interlingual communication process, we address the question of what language operations should be performed to ensure the integration of source and target texts and at the same time eliminate their interlinguistic structural differences at the conceptual and stylistic levels. The dominant of any translation is its goal (skopos), because differences in the definition of translation goals cause, in turn, differences in interlingual translation strategies. The translator's understanding of the text presupposes his knowledge of the history of society, institutions, social conditions, religious beliefs, culturally and situationally determined patterns of speech activity and behavior of the "source culture", as well as knowledge of the syntax and semantics of the "source text" and their structures. Each translation creates a dynamic connection and is an intercultural transfer of the text insofar as it takes into account the culturally specific comparison of language, situation and object in question. From the standpoint of hermeneutics and from the point of view of translation, the difference of cultures means the difference between "source culture" and thus – the culture of "source language" and "target culture" and thus - the culture of "target language". The analysis focuses on the translation of the most famous poems of German classics. In J. Goethe, along with the ballad "Erlkönig" ("The Forest King"), it is his popular excerpts from the tragedy "Faust". The translation was made by famous writers B. Hrinchenko and M. Rylsky. F. Schiller's poetry is represented by his ballads "Pirnach" ("DerTaucher") and "Glove" ("DerHandschuh"). The latter was translated by the famous poet and translator M. Orest. Heine's works were translated into Ukrainian by such well-known writers as I. Franko, L. Pervomaisky and others.

Russia has always been a country with large Islamic population. From the Middle Ages the dialogue between Christians and Muslims has always been an integral part of the Russian culture. The article highlights the stages of the Christian-Muslim dialogue in Russia. From the point of view of its authors, this dialogue became fully developed by the middle of 19th century. In its subsequent development it has already passed the three main stages, which are labelled as the “tsarist”, the “Soviet” and the “early post-Soviet”. According to the authors the present situation can be described as the “late post-Soviet” stage. The article comprises a description and definition of this stage as well as a prognosis of its development in the future.

<em>The contribution represents the selected summary of the results of research carried out through a questionnaire-based survey and a structured interview, the goal of which was to ascertain the experiences and attitudes of young people and seniorsin relation to mentally impaired individuals and define the spheres to which increased attention should be paid in the future. The examined group comprised 160 respondents. The contribution is introduced by information on the given issue and the definition of the basic terminology in relation to the examined sphere. Subsequently, it presents the methodological outcomes of the research and deals with specific results of the research and discussions. At the end, it summarizes the research conclusions in the context of various points of view of the current state of knowledge in theory and its application in practise. </em>

The authors research the intercultural communication in the context of complex education as a special model of communication in the article. They justify from a scientific point of view that the specificity of the conception of “intercultural communication” as a pedagogical phenomenon is associated with the creation of intercultural orientation of education. This requires the transformation of the content, problems, culture-oriented forms of the educational process and determines the dialogue of the subjects of pedagogical communication in accordance with the cultural standards of the target language affecting the development of personal and professional qualities and skills of students. Based on this, it is important to consider the development of communicative competence as a willingness and ability to implement successful communication, including intercultural communication. The authors emphasize the need of the formation of cultural literacy of the future specialist and provide a rationale for the formation of this process.

A possibility for the creation of a design and technology for manufacturing focal tubes for underwa-ter material hydro-abrasive jet cutting by means of ex-perimental development both existing hydro-jet nozzles and pre-production models of hydro-jet ones, focal tubes and designs of cutting blocks is analyzed. According to the research results at the given stage it is possible to say that the inner profile of a hy-dro-jet nozzle and also a cutting block design optimum from the point of view of productivity are defined. Impossibility to use already existing focal tubes used in the technology of material hydro-abrasive jet cutting for the technology of underwater hydro-abrasive jet cutting (UHAC) in view of the non-assurance of the specified power parameters of a hy-dro-abrasive jet is revealed. There is developed a me-thodical plan for the fulfillment of investigations pro-viding searches of ways to fulfill requirements made to UHAC.

The author analyzes the concept, features, scope and contents of the framework agreement from the point of view of the Russian Civil Code, the Concept of improvement of general provisions of obligation law of Russia and the needs of economic turnover. In the article the author formulated the definition of a framework agreement, which is seen as the basis of the obligation to conclude another one, main contract in the future (or several contracts). The author has analyzed the different ways to conclude the basic contract and has made legal qualifications of such contract documents (applications, specifications, etc.). Also the author has come to conclusion on the essential terms of the main contract and has provided practical recommendations for the conclusion of framework contracts and permits arising from them civil disputes. A few issues on accountability of the parties for breach of the master contract were also considered in present article.

This research investigates the role of project commitment in the context of information systems security. In doing so, the research adopts a psychological point of view by exploring and discussing the concept of project commitment in setting information security goals. Information security can be viewed as the efficient control of uncertainty arising from malicious acts intended to exploit valuable assets, and in the context of information systems the valuable assets under consideration are data. Data were collected by using an interpretive approach through in-depth interviews and observation within a single case study in Greece. The contribution of this research to interpretive information-systems consists of the study of project commitment and goal theory in an information security-management context, and its grounding within an interpretive epistemology. Ultimately, this research promotes an interdisciplinary and interorganizational theory that fosters a dialogue transcending industry-specific contexts and explores different management practices that can improve security project commitment and management in its real life context.

Networking has seen a burst of innovation and rapid changes with the advent of Software Defined Networking (SDN). Many people considered SDN to be something new and innovative, but actually SDN is something that has already been proposed almost a decade ago in the era of active and programmable networks, and developed even before that. Coupled with the fact that SDN is a very dynamic area with everyone trying to brand their architecture, research or product as SDN has defined a vague and broad definition of what SDN. This chapter attempts to put SDN into perspective approaching SDN with a more spherical point of view by providing the necessary background of pre-SDN technologies and how SDN came about. Followed by discussion on what SDN means today, what SDN is comprised of and a vision of how SDN will evolve in the future to provide the programmable networks that researchers and operators have longed for for many years now. This chapter closes with a few applicability use cases of the future SDN and wraps up with how SDN fits in the Future Internet Architectures.

This paper discusses problems in volunteer Japanese classrooms as a field of teaching foreign language for special purposes, which is to enhance migrant learners in the neighbourhood to participate in the host society through the target language. The data on which the discussion is based was collected from a case study conducted in a volunteer Japanese classroom in eastern Japan. From the point of view of “noting” in the Language Management Theory (LMT; cf. Neustupný 1985, 1994; Jernudd and Neustupný 1987), the findings suggest that although all the learners in the classroom intend to stay in Japan permanently, they appear to be reluctant to interact with local Japanese and to expand their Japanese social network due to the inability to note deviations from norms underlying in Japanese speech situations. In the second half of the paper, I raise an example of teaching materials to illustrate that noting as learning can be enhanced through systematic classroom activities. It is suggested that the ability to become sensitive about possible problems when interacting with local Japanese people can help foreigners in the neighbourhood to be more prepared and thus more confident to use the target language in real life.

Background: Happiness and its determinants have been the subject of scientific inquiries as early as in the works of Aristotle. It has appeared in many fields of science. For example, in economics, Frank Knight indicated happiness as one of the three main factors of business success (1921). Nowadays, positive psychology also deals with success. Happiness is therefore an important success factor, not only in business, but also in the real life, career, and development of every human being (Brickman et al. 2016; Seligman 2005). Aim: The main research problem, as a case study, was to identify a definition of happiness, which would provide the opportunity to formulate a mathematical model, thus making it possible to measure levels of happiness. Materials and methods: Literature reviews on the definition of happiness were conducted to achieve the main aim. They resulted in identifying the proposals of Stanisław Lem, who in his futuristic works not only offers a definition of happiness but also describes a unit of its measurement and provides a recipe for it. This became the basis for designing a computer simulation of the definition of happiness as a kind of human experience. Results: A newly designed mathematical model was formulated that describes levels of happiness from a quantitative point of view, including a unit of its measurement. Conclusion: The designed mathematical model is complete and is the first example of the implementation of the definition of happiness described in literature. It is also the first step in the mathematical approach to happiness becoming the most important factor of human work, development, and success
