<p>Zinc concentrates processing technology that includes high-temperature roasting – leaching of cinder – purification of leached liquor – electrowinning is the most widely used technology. Purified solution, which is fed to the electrowinning stage, has a high sensitivity to such an impurity as iron. The presence of iron in the zinc electrolyte has a negative influence both on the current efficiency and the quality of the cathode zinc. </p><p>The application of autoclave equipment for iron removal from zinc sulfate solutions, obtained after the leaching stage of zinc cinder, is described in this article. All experiments were carried out with a model solution of following composition, g/L: 10-33 H2SO4, 1.5 Cu, 5 Mn, 110 Zn, 2.5 Fe. Neutralization and purification of the solution was implemented during low-temperature pressure leaching of the zinc cinder. </p><p>The optimum conditions for iron precipitation from zinc solution are following: molar flow rate Zn(cinder) / H2SO4 = 1.3, t = 80 °C, τ = 1 hour, PO2 = 0.2 MPa. It was found, that the concentration of iron can be reduced up to 1-2 mg/L, whereas 83.5% of Zn and 52.1% of Cu being recovered into the solution from zinc cinder.</p>

Multi-layered carbon nanotubes were synthesized via hydrocarbons pyrolysis method in the presence of argon overpressure in the reaction system. With the use of the scanning electron microscope method, a morphology of the obtained materials were investigated. Synthetized nanotubes were modified by treating with solutions of various reagents: sodium hydroxide (10 mass. %), azotic (40 mass. %) and perchloric (40 mass. %) acids, chloroform. The sample was placed in the reagent solution with the volume of 10 ml and exposed for 24 h. Electrophysical investigation of multi-layered carbon nanotubes dispersions with zinc sulfate additions was carried with the use of the impedance meter Z - 1500J in a range of frequencies of 10 Hz - 2 MHz. It was found that the carbon nanomaterials effect on the electrophysical properties of zinc electrolyte. A change in electrical conductivity of zinc sulfate solutions with the addition of multi-layered carbon nanotubes with various morphology and surface modifications was studied. With the use of impedance spectroscopy method, there were examined the electrophysical properties of zinc electrolyte with additions of carbon nanotubes in the presence of various components concentration and pH level of the environment, that was obtained via the original technique. It is shown that electron conduction increases with the rise of nanotubes concentration, but substantially levels with the rise of zinc sulfate concentration. Moreover, insertion of multi-layered carbon nanotubes in the solution changes a state of equivalent circuit and its elements. It is concluded that insert of multi-layered carbon nanotubes has unambiguous impact on the electrophysical properties of zinc sulfate solutions. Based on the obtained data, a scheme of electrolyte and nanotubes interaction is offered.

The separation of cobalt from zinc sulfate solutions by oxidation-precipitation process using peroxy-monosulfuric acid as oxidant has been presented according to the technological conditions of removal of cobalt from zinc electrolyte. After investigating the important parameters governing the separation of cobalt and their effect on the separation process, the optimal parameters of oxidation precipitation of cobalt were determined, the oxidation precipitation percent of cobalt was up to 90% under the conditions. The XRD analysis results of precipitates demonstrated that the precipitate was cobalt hydroxide oxide (CoOOH) in pure cobalt system while the precipitates were cobaltosic oxide (Co3O4) and basic zinc sulfate (ZnSO4(OH)6.H2O) in zinc-cobalt system.

Zinc sulfate is the main component in the composition of the acidic zinc plating electrolyte. Deviation in the electrolyte composition from the optimum content leads to destabilization of the electrolysis process and deteriorate the quality of the resulting zinc coating. The proper quality of a zinc coating obtained by galvanic deposition can be ensured only with timely monitoring and adjustment of the electrolyte composition. A technique of X-ray fluorescence determination of zinc (in terms of zinc sulfate) in an acidic zinc plating electrolyte is proposed. The study was carried out using an ARL Quant’X energy dispersive spectrometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA) with a semiconductor silicon-lithium detector. The features of the spectrometer design are presented. The optimal parameters of excitation and detection of zinc radiation were specified when the electrolyte sample was diluted 1:1000. The ZnKα1 line was used as an analytical line. The plotted calibration graph is linear, the correlation coefficient being 0.999234. The results of zinc determination according to the developed method were compared with the data of the reference method of complexometric titration to prove the reliability of the procedure. The results are characterized by good convergence and accuracy. The proposed method of X-ray fluorescence zinc determination in a zinc plating electrolyte equals complexometric titration in the limiting capabilities and even exceeds the latter in terms of the simplicity of sample preparation and rapidity. The developed method of X-ray fluorescence determination of zinc is implemented in analysis of the electrolyte used in the continuous galvanizing unit at «METSERVIS LLC».

Background: Dementia after stroke, particularly subacute period is often overlooked. Today the quality of human life is increasingly high, finding scales that have high value for detection of dementia in patients with stroke is increasingly interested. MoCA test is high sensitivity with mild dementia and identify more abnormalities of awareness caused by vascular, but MoCA have not been studied much in Vietnam. Objective: Assessing MoCA test in subacute stroke patients and compare MoCA versus MMSE in these patients. Subjects: 90 patients with subacute stroke period, these people are being treated at Department of cardiovascular internal medicine at Hue Central Hospital, from 7/2014 - 7/2015. Methods: cross-sectional description and analysis. Results: The mean age is 65.57 ± 13.38, accounting for 54.4% male and 45.6% female. Age, duration of illness has weak correlation with MoCA. The risk factors: hypertension, stroke ischemic transient, alcoholism, smoking, heart disease, diabetes, dyslipidemia related no statistical significance with MoCA. The proportion of dementia in subacute stroke according MoCA is 82.2%. The concordance between MoCA and MMSE was good (kappa = 0.684). Using DSM-IV criteria as the gold standard we found MoCA more valuable in the dementia diagnosis than MMSE (AUC 0.864 versus 0.774, p <0.05). Conclusion: The rate of dementia in stroke subacute period according MoCA is quite high. MoCA is valuable than MMSE in detecting dementia in patients with stroke subacute period, this scale is short, easy to implement so should put into using widely in clinical practice. Key words: MoCA test, subacute stroke, dementia

Background:Exosomes in synovial fluid (SF) has a close relationship with the pathogenesis of rheumatiod arthritis. As a complex biological fluid, SF presents challenges for exosomes isolation using standard methods, such as ExoquickTM kit and ultracentrifugation. Objectives:The study aims to compared the quality of exosomes separated by ExoquickTM kit (TM), ExoquickTM kit+ExoquickTC kit (TM-TC), ultracentrifugation (UC) and TM-TC+UC(TM-TC-UC) from SF.Methods:Exosomes was separated by TM, TM-TC, UC and TM-TC-UC respectively. The size and concentrations of exosomes were detected by high sensitivity flow cytometry for nanoparticle analysis. Total protein and RNA were extracted from exosomes. SDS-PAGE was used to detect the protein distribution of exosomes. Western blot was used to examine the level of albumin and exosomes marker (TSG101 and CD81).Results:There was no statistic difference in the diameters of exosomes separated by the four methods. The concentrations of exosomes in TM, TM-TC, TM-TC-UC and UC were (5.65±0.93), (3.02±1.19), (1.67±0.25) and (4.61±0.73) *109Particles/mL. The protein concentrations of exosomes separated by the four methods were consistent with the concentrations of exosomes. SDS-PAGE showed that the protein distribution of exosomes separated by the four methods were different. Low levels of albumin were detected in TM-TC and TM-TC-UC, while high levels of albumin in TM and UC. Total RNA concentrations from exosomes in TM-TC was higher than other groups.Conclusion:TM-TC can be used to obtain higher quality exosomes from SF for the study of exosome-enriched components.References:[1]Helwa I, et al, A Comparative Study of Serum Exosome Isolation Using Differential Ultracentrifugation and Three Commercial Reagents. A simple and sensitive assay for Ag+ was developed with unmodified gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by using dynamic light scattering techniques. Ag+ could induce the oligonucleotide (5′-ATC ACT ATA TCA TAT ACT CAT-3′) to change from a single-stranded structure to a double-stranded structure and desorb from the surface of AuNPs, which triggered the aggregation of AuNPs in the salt solution. The average hydrodynamic diameter of aggregated AuNPs could be detected by using dynamic light scattering techniques. Under the optimum conditions, the average hydrodynamic diameter of AuNPs is proportional to the concentration of Ag+ within the range of 13.3–100.0 nmol/L, with a detection limit of 3.2 nmol/L. The method is easy to operate and has low sample consumption, high sensitivity and selectivity.

Only nonwetted porous membranes can be used in membrane distillation. The possibility of application in this process the capillary polypropylene membranes manufactured by thermally-induced phase separation was studied. The performance of a few types of membranes available commercially was presented. The resistance of the membranes to wetting was tested in the continuous process of water desalination. These studies were carried out for 1000 h without module cleaning. The presence of scaling layer on the membranes surface was confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscope observations. Both the permeate flux and distillate conductivity were almost not varied after the studied period of time, what indicates that the used membranes maintained their nonwettability, and the negative influence of scaling was limited. The role of surface porosity on the pore wetting and influence of membrane wettability on the quality of the distillate obtained were discussed.

The studies revealed that organizational change could create employee’s psychological uncertainty. However, this study argues that the quality of leader-member exchange enables to control the impact of the psychological uncertainty during the change toward employee’s attitude. This study represents job satisfaction and turnover intention as proxy of employee’s attitude for that matter. Based on social exchange theory, quality relationship of leader and employees affects on the relationship of psychological uncertainty and employee’s job satisfaction and turnover intention. This study selected private hospitals experiencing the changes of operational system for complying with national health security system. This study conducted cross-section survey for individual level-analysis. This study produces some findings. Firstly, the LMX has been failed to reduce the negative influence of psychological uncertainty towards employee’s job satisfaction, although the quality of the LMX was good. employee’s job satisfaction is more perceived as  personal afective state experienced during the organizational change. Secondly, the LMX has been successfully moderated the positive influence of the psychological uncertainty towards employee’s turnover intention. The data were collected by using questioners, distributed to the employees who worked in hospitals in Yogyakarta Province. There were 193 questioners that could be collected and analyzed by using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to test the hypothesis by using SPSS application version 21. The result of the study shows that psychological uncertainty had negative correlation to employee’s job satisfaction and positive influence to psychological uncertainty toward turnover intention. Besides, LMX was proven to moderate positive influence of psychological uncertainty toward turnover intention, but it could not moderate negative influence of psychological uncertainty toward job satisfaction.
