Learning Media is one of the essential aspects in creating a meaningful and good quality learning process. The use of mobile device in the learning process is called mobile learning (m-learning). It is defined as a learning in which the learners are demanded to be active or moving to places by utilizing a mobile technology device. The existence of m-learning is indeed unable to substitute e-learning (electronic learning) let alone replacing face-to-face meeting in a class. M-learning is intended to complement the learning took place in a class. It also helps the students to re-learn the material they have not understood anywhere and anytime they want. This surely provides novel learning experience for the students. Developing Mobile Learning Media (MLM) is the alternatives in providing the most suitable and effective media in this era. The type of research used in this study is the developing method of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) of Waterfall. According to the FGD conducted with elementaryteachersinKaliwunguDistrictKendal, thediscussionleadtotheneedupon android-based MLM was in mathematics subject. This is a kind of field research and the process of collecting the data uses observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using analytical description and comparative method (Constant Comparative Method) techniques. The results showed: (1) Moodle-based e-learning at Syafi'i Akrom vocational school has not been utilized properly and optimally by all teachers and only IT teachers knowing how to use it; (2) Moodle-based Arabic E-learning at Syafi'i Akrom Vocational School also has not been utilized properly and optimally in Arabic learning process. It still uses conventional methods and media by having face to face meeting with the provided media; (3) The aim and objective of e-learning at Syafi'i Akrom Pekalongan Vocational School is realizing the media as one of the alternative media in learning to create more independent learning process without problems of place and time. Besides, the teacher has more flexible time due to the Internship Program for the XI graders; (4) The supporting factors of Arabic e-learning in Syafii Akrom vocational school are sufficiently complete facilities, the existence of elearning.ponpes-smksa.sch.id as the e-learning website, sufficient funding support, IT training, and student ability in the use of ICT. The obstacles of the e-learning in this vocational school is the lack of ability and interest of teachers in using IT that enables the lack of ability to provide more interactive material for the students, the complexity of the features in Moodle, and the students’ who come from non Madrasa / Islamic boarding school backgrounds which have low ability in understanding Arabic.

The diversity of education has encouraged the incorporation of technology in education. While classroom learning is still relevant, incorporating an electronic learning (e-learning) to a course will encourage interactive learning experience. This incorporation of face-to-face classroom learning and e-learning is known as blended learning. Thus, the objective of this study is to examine students’ perceptions in learning Principle of Risk Management and Insurance as a blended learning course. This study was conducted among Part 1 students of Diploma in Actuarial Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Perak Branch, Tapah Campus who took Principle of Risk Management and Insurance which is a blended learning course by using questionnaire. This study proven the findings from previous researches that suggested a combination of traditional classroom learning and online learning is preferred by most students. From students’ perspective, it also depicts that blended learning offers more benefits to them and will have a positive impact on their motivation and performance to better understand the course offered.

Abstract Nowadays, at the time of convergence culture, social network, and transmedia storytelling – when social interactions are constantly remediated – e-learning, especially in universities, should be conceived as a sharing educational activity. Different learning experiences should become smoother and able to fade out the closed learning environments (as software platform and classrooms (either virtual or not)). In this paper, we will show some experiences of the Communication Sciences degree program of the University of Cagliari, which is supplied through an e-learning method. In the ten years since its foundation, the approach has evolved from a blended learning with two kinds of traditional activity (online activities and face-to-face lessons) to a much more dynamic learning experience. Many new actors (communication companies, local government, public-service corporations, new media and social media) – indeed – have been involved in educational and teaching process. But also these processes changed: collaborative working, new media comprehension, self-guided problem solving are examples of the new literacies and approaches that can be reached as new learning objectives.
