With mobile technologies increasingly weaving themselves into the fabric of our communities, it would be beneficial to increase our understanding of how these devices will affect our quality of life. This chapter presents a case study where a set of prototypes of future social technology concepts were generated and used by groups of backpackers in a mobile community. One of these concepts, which facilitated viewing the locations of other group members, is evaluated with regard to how it might affect community development. This and other examples illustrate that communication technologies form a social path which guides individual and emergent behavior of societies. Determination of where these paths lead can be accomplished through the creation of development projects with positive social aims. Using collaborative research methods, considering design outcome spectra, and adding features with implicit cultural values are promising strategies for influencing future communities.

In this article, the authors examined the features of the strategic analysis of the tourism industry, assessed the new challenges facing the development of the national tourism economy. Using SWOT strategic analysis tools, weaknesses and threats are critically evaluated, and the strengths and opportunities for the development of the tourism industry in a particular region are identified. Long-term strategic management as a management science is reflected in all sectors of the economy. However, the study of strategic planning in the tourism industry in countries that are beginning to move into the post-industrial community has not been fully investigated and determined the course of research. Modern tourism industry is seen as one of the rapidly developing camping industry in international trade in services. Over the past 20 years, the average annual growth rate of the number of arriving foreign tourists in the world amounted to 5.0 %, foreign exchange earnings - 14%, the number of arriving tourists in the world is about 1.4 billion. Today, it is possible to satisfy the rapidly changing needs of tourists by strengthening integration processes both within the tourism system and with the external environment.  However, along with the development of tourism, problems of sustainable tourism development arise, develop and become urgent, the solution of which by the methods established in the past becomes inexpedient, which leads to a decrease in the competitiveness of this highly profitable industry, and the lack of tools that make it possible to more fully satisfy the growing demand for high quality travel services. These arguments suggest the need for a systematic approach in the strategic management of tourism and the development of an appropriate strategy for the development of the tourism industry.

In the current conditions of the fight against coronavirus and the introduction of measures to prevent a pandemic, the crisis of activity is accompanied by a sharp decline in international tourism and significant economic losses. Solutions for the restoration of the tourism industry are beginning to be implemented by supporting domestic tourism, improving the quality of recreation services and health of citizens.

It is common to describe political identity using surveys that address cultural values. The construction of indicators by mixing answers to a set of questions then becomes a relevant method when taking a behavioral approach. Scholars such as Ronald Inglehart or Pippa Norris have been engaged in longitudinal studies using two important series of surveys; World Values Survey and European Social Survey Aggregate data enabled them to perceive strong trends in different societies in the world, which is why they linked the evolution of political identity with the shift of cultural values in western societies towards post-materialistic post-1970s. This finding might explain why citizens cared more about issues such as environmental protection, quality of life, and personal and cultural development instead of simply economic security, growth, and stability of power relations. The present study analyzes the repertoire of unconventional participation of European citizens with the data from European Social Survey.
