Teletandem (Telles, 2009) is a model of telecollaboration in which pairs of foreign language students from different countries meet regularly and virtually to learn each other’s languages. Within this context, participants are expected to help their partners learn by providing feedback. The multimodal nature of this type of environment, however, may offer different learning opportunities (Guichon & Cohen, 2016) and have an impact on feedback provision. This research aims at investigating peer corrective feedback in Teletandem in relation to the different modes. Using a case study approach, we describe how three Brazilians offered feedback to learners of Portuguese as a foreign language. Data used came from 20 Teletandem oral sessions that took place over a period of three years and were stored in MulTeC (Aranha & Lopes, 2019). Data analysis revealed that CF provision is characterized by reformulations, with a blurred distinction between recasts and explicit corrections due to a combination of multimodal strategies. Results also indicate that error correction may be more (or less) emphasized depending on how interlocutors combine multimodal resources. Pedagogical implications are discussed.

This study explores similarities and differences of students’ and teachers’ attitudes toward corrective feedback in ESL teaching in terms of feedback efficacy and participant’s perception of the feedback. Taking an empirical case study approach, the researcher followed closely six English teachers and two classes of English juniors. Questionnaires for both teachers and students and interviews with them respectively are the source of data. The research findings indicate that students are more confident about error correction than teachers. Subsequently, the direct corrective feedback seems to be more effective than indirect ones. And their attitudes about strategies seem to be a more decisive factor that influences the effectiveness of these strategies, because the strategy of negotiation of form, on which the students and the teachers hold the same attitude, enjoys the highest degree of students’ perception.

The implementation of learning is the most important part in improving the quality of education. The Covid-19 pandemic period is part of the challenge for education so that learning continues. The purpose of this study was to investigate in depth the implementation of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research was conducted at Muhammadiyah Pakel Elementary School. The data sources in this study were teachers, parents, and students. Data collection techniques using structured interviews assisted with guidelines that are structured questions systematically. Data analysis using the Denzin Licoln case study model assisted by atlas.ti software version 8. The technique used to improve the quality of research is source triangulation. The results of this study provide information that in the implementation of the implementation of distance learning there are three factors, namely policy, distance learning process, and human resource activeness. These three factors are novelty which can be recommendations for the three education centers in order to be part of improving the quality of distance learning education during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This study investigated the relationship between financial development and economic growth in Hungary using a case study approach. Majority of previous studies on the same or similar topic have so far used regression and or econometric methodologies to examine the nature of the relationship between financial development and economic growth. Not a single study the author is aware of used a case study approach to discuss the relationship between the two variables. It is against this background that the author decided to use the case study approach that allows the author to really deepen an understanding of the relationship between the two variables in Hungary. Apart from being narrowly focused on regression or econometric approaches, previous studies on the same or similar topic in Hungary excluded a broad range of financial development variables. The current study departs from these previous studies as it used a case study approach and taken into account a broad range of financial development variables. From the trend analysis done in section 3, it appears that the relationship between financial development and growth in Hungary during the period under study is not clear. A definite and clear cut conclusion could not be reached about the relationship between the two variables in Hungary hence the use of econometric data analysis approaches in conjuction with the case study approach is recommended.

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use the method of interview, observation, and documenta-tion. Data analysis is done by condensing data, then presenting data, and conclusions drawn from the data. In checking the validity of the data, researchers use methods, namely extending the time of partici-pation of researchers in the field, increasing persistence of observation, using appropriate reference materials, and reading book tests. The results of the analysis show that the process of applying the Al-Miftah Lil ‘Ulum Method at Madin Wustho Hidayatul Mubtadi’in –Malang City was carried out through several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Among the supporting factors of the learning process and the inhibiting factors to applied it.

The democratization of broadcasting in Indonesia is manifested in the implementation of the Network Station System (Sistem Stasiun Jaringan / SSJ) by striving for diversity of ownership and broadcast content in broadcasting institutions. SSJ is also an effort to decentralize broadcasting so that people in the regions get information related to their own regions through subsidiary networks or local broadcasting institutions. TVRI is the only public broadcasting institution that has network subsidiaries throughout Indonesia. This research uses a case study approach, an approach to intensively examine a case with a focus on TVRI Bali. Data collection used interview and observation methods. Data analysis using the Interactive Analysis approach. The results showed that TVRI Bali has not been able to fully implement SSJ. TVRI Bali can only meet the provisions of local broadcast content with a percentage of up to 20%, but has not been able to fulfill the spirit of diversity of ownership according to the basic concept of SSJ. In addition, the principle of diversity of ownership has not been fulfilled due to inconsistencies between the Broadcasting Law and Government Regulation Number 13/2005 and Ministerial Regulation 43/2009 which specifically regulates private television broadcasting institutions.
