This case illustrates the challenges faced by typical start-up businesses. The company has never earned a profit. Losses are being covered by cash infusions from angel investors. While significant business opportunities are present, the company doesnt have the money to pursue them all. Essentially, the case involves problems of growth, vision, potential, and management. The problems illustrated in the case can be analyzed using theories and approaches such as: SWOT analysis, financial analysis, business valuation, strategic human resource management, and strategic marketing/management. The case and Instructors Manual were written for undergraduate or MBA courses in strategic management. They can also be used in an entrepreneurship course if the instructor wishes to have a case that illustrates the strategic challenges associated with the decision whether to stay small and within the abilities of the founders, or to grow beyond their capabilities.

The time constraint to concentrate on human resource management and lack of knowledge for the key strategic management of human resource would constrain the expand of the needs for its execution. The objective or motivation behind this study is to investigate the relationship and practice of strategic human resource management, the awareness of the exploration on strategic human resource management improves and professional conduct on waste management in organization. This investigation enhances to the logical group of research to fill the gap that as of now exists in organization. Waste management is chosen as the concentration of this investigation in relationship between strategic human resource management and sustainable competitive advantage. Thus, this research is important to manager’s level and academia for benefit table to business settings further enhancement.

The following processes pose challenges for the organization: self-establishment in the market economy, restructuring, globalization, development of techniques and technology, formation of information society, development of a knowledge economy, change of the society economic situation and democratic processes. In the organization which is constantly changing a new approach to the organization is formed. It is viewed as an operating system where company employees, i.e., human resources, become the most important and the most active part of the system, determining the efficiency of the pursuing of organizational goals. In the constantly changing organization a new approach to the organization is formed. It is viewed as an operating system where company employees, i. e., human resources, become the most important and the most active part of the system, determining the efficiency of the pursuing of organization objectives. Human resource management process cannot be separated from the strategy. Strategic human resource management is a part of strategic management concept in the organization. Theoretical provisions for the management of human resources, presented in the academic literature, confirm the influence of this functional area of management on the overall organization performance results. For the organization, which is operating in the global market, it is essential to manage existing or potential labor resources effectively. One of the main staff evaluation criteria is the effectiveness of personnel management. New tendencies encourage closer association of human resource management with organization strategy. “Four-C” model competence, commitment, compliance and cost efficiency is helpful in assessing the effectiveness of organization human resources policies conformity with its strategy.

The main purpose of the research paper is to study the strategic management of human resources in industrial enterprises, career development and stimulation in the activity. Labor resources are active elements in the production of goods, the creation of material wealth and the provision of services to society. Human resources are important ones in all areas of the national economy. Human resources act as a creative component in the organization and management using their mental, spiritual and psychological capabilities. Human resources study and analyze technical, technological possibilities and financial sources, make management decisions as a leading resource in any organization. Research methodology is related in personnel policy and the comprehensive study of strategic human resource management. Human resource management in industrial enterprises is the main subsystem management system. This issue affects on the development of the enterprise, increasing the quality of products, economic efficiency and profits. The importance of the research paper - is to apply the results in the management of industrial enterprises. Human resource management contributes to sustainable operation in enterprises and organizations. The scientific novelty of the research is the definition of a successful personnel policy in the enterprise. Thus, the article identifies strategic goals in human resource management, and develops a corporate concept in this area. The article discusses the application of new technologies for career development. The application of innovations and methods in the implementation of management functions is the basis for motivating the workforce in an organization. All functions and management methods are applied in the process of strategic management of human resources. Management methods are social in nature, as well as ensure the direct development of employees, labor resources and actively influence on the outcome. Management methods lead to the expansion of financial and economic activities of the enterprise, the development of economic activities, the growth of labor resources. Management methods allow to increase competitiveness, as well as to attract partners, suppliers, customers and others. In this regard, our research can be commended in terms of the application of innovation in management.

Purpose Numerous empirical studies and meta-analyses have offered ample evidence for the relationship between the strategic management of human resources and a variety of important organizational outcomes, such as individual- and firm-level performance. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, steered the discussion away from the traditional performance-related outcomes of the strategic human resource management and brought to the fore the importance of resilience. The purpose of this paper is to identify areas in which strategic human resource management can help organizations to become more resilient. Design/methodology/approach On the basis of a brief overview of the different phases of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the management of human resources, this conceptual paper uses the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity framework as the backbone for the development of suggestions for the strategic management of employees to create and maintain organizational resilience. Findings A series of actionable suggestions regarding the way forward in building organizational resilience through the effective and ethical management of employees are presented and discussed. Specifically, the importance of using flexibility-oriented human resource management systems is highlighted. This “flexibility-orientation” involves all functions of human resource management, such as selection, training and compensation. Originality/value The proposed suggestions can benefit organizations by offering actionable recommendations regarding the management of human resources by taking stock of lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In article the role and a place of economic safety in management of strategic marketing activity by the enterprise is investigated. Use of marketing as a tool in development of innovative activity of the enterprise promotes increase of maintenance of economic safety that will allow to trace occurrence of threats for economy of the enterprise in the market. Conditions of development and influence of innovative activity on providing of economic safety, and also their interrelation and crossing of the purposes of strategic management, marketing and innovations on the basis of the SWOT-analysis and construction of the map of strategic marketing purposes of the enterprise that allows to define the further directions of its improvement are considered.

This article aims to discuss this intersection between strategic management and HRM, what we know, and future directions for Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) research. It begins by briefly discussing the concept of strategy and the popularization of the resource-based view (RBV) of the firm. Next it addresses its role in creating the link between HRM and strategic management including key questions that the RBV has raised in relation to SHRM. It then examines the current state of affairs in SHRM, the progress made, and key questions and concerns occupying the attention of SHRM researchers. Finally, it concludes with a personal view on future directions for SHRM research.

This study aimed at formulating the strategy proposed to the District Agency of Tourism and Culture of Central Lombok to increase tourist visits. This research is using a qualitative approach within case studies adopted from the research manual. Informants were selected through purposive sampling. Two informants were selected from the Agency of Tourism and Culture of Central Lombok; namely the Head of Agency and the Field Head of Marketing and Promotion. The research showed that the findings obtained from the analysis using SWOT and data reduction, the tourism in the south coast of Central Lombok has good strength and opportunity. The research recommends that in increasing numbers tourist visits the Agency of Tourism and Culture of Central Lombok conduct four better strategies namely future integration, market penetration, concentric diversification, and product development. Since there were still problems in Human Resource, the Agency of Tourism and Culture of Central Lombok should pay more attention to human resources by developing human resource products.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan usulan strategi bagi Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Lombok Tengah untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi kasus yang diadopsi dari manual penelitian. Informan dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Dua informan dipilih dari Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Lombok Tengah yaitu Kepala Dinas dan Kepala Bidang Pemasaran dan Promosi. Dari temuan penelitian yang telah dianalisa menggunakan alat analisis SWOT kemudian melakukan reduksi data, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, pariwisata di kawasan pantai selatan Lombok Tengah memiliki kekuatan dan peluang yang cukup besar, dan penelitian merekomendasikan dalam usaha meningkatkan angka kunjungan wisatawan, Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Lombok Tengah sebaiknya melakukan empat strategi yaitu Integrasi ke depan, Penetrasi pasar, Diversifikasi Konsentrik, dan Pengembangan Produk. Karena masih terdapat masalah pada SDM, Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Lombok Tengah harus memberi perhatian lebih terhadap sumber daya manusia dengan melakukan pengembangan produk SDM.Keywords : SWOT Analysis, Strategy Formulation, Strategic management, Tourism

<em>The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship of human resource strategic management  and innovation, human resource strategic management  and knowledge management, knowledge management and innovation, in addition to analyzing whether knowledge management can mediate the relationship of human resource strategic management  with innovation Research data to be used is data of creative industry companies in Indonesia with primary data through questionnaires and secondary data published by the Government of Indonesia. The research sample is a creative industry company in Indonesia. The methods used are correlation analysis and regression to find out the relationship between variables and the analysis of pathways to find out the direct effects and indirect effects of human resource strategic management  on innovation. The hypothesis of this research is (1) there is a positive relationship of human resource strategic management  with innovation, (2) there is a positive relationship between the strategic management  of human resources and knowledge management (3) there is a relationship between knowledge management and innovation (4) there is a positive relationship of human resource strategic management  to innovation through knowledge management as a mediation variable. The findings provide evidence that knowledge management plays a mediating role between strategic human resource management  and innovation.</em>

This study aims to analyze how strategic management in the Firta Collection Boutique to develop its business, especially in providing services to customers. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that includes Marketing Mix (4P Analysis) and SWOT Analysis, to find out what external factors are opportunities or threats to the Firta Collection Boutique. The results of the study show that the strategies adopted by the Firta Collection Boutique are still inappropriate and need to use other strategies. Changes in the external environment have continued to increase so that it is an opportunity and anticipates threats by utilizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses by innovating and improving approaches and gaining customer trust in product quality, in order to compete in the fashion sector.
