Assessment of operational costs of vehicles using the method of Pacific Consultant International (PCI). The research was conducted on 6 collector road segments in Jember Regency which was improved in 2013-2015. From result of analysis of operational cost of vehicle in year 2016 and year 2018 got equation Y = 0,3315xଶ - 65,339x + 6199,1 where y is BOK value and x is PCI value. From the equation is known value of coefficient of determination (R ଶ ) = 0,8061 which means success rate in this regression method is 0,8061 (regression model is said good if value R ଶ approach one). In 2016 and 2018 there is a difference in the value of road damage conditions (PCI values). Differences in the value of BOK in 2016 and 2018 on Dr. Soebandi 1 = Rp. 487.69 / km, on the Dr. Soebandi 2 = Rp. -146,7 / km, on Sarangan 1 = Rp. 1327.68 / km, on Sarangan 2 = Rp.-1.99 / km, on Cempaka = Rp. 2827,41 / km, on Tapaksiring = Rp. 1228.02 / km, on Yos Sudarso 1 = Rp. 808,7 / km, on Yos Sudarso 2 = Rp. -2.48 / km, on Wolter Monginsidi 1 = Rp. 544.48 / km, and on Wolter Monginsidi 2 = Rp. -0.23 / km. -0,23/km.

Electrification coverage in Sarawak is the lowest at 78.74%, compared to Peninsular Malaysia at 99.62% and Sabah at 82.51%. Kapit, Sarawak, with 88.4% of its population located in rural areas and mostly situated along the main riverbanks, has great potential to generate electrical energy with a hydrokinetic system. Yearly water velocity data is the most significant parameter with which to perform a hydrokinetic analysis study. Nevertheless, the data retrieved from local river databases are inadequate for river energy analysis, thus hindering its progression. Instead, flow rates and rainfall data had been utilized to estimate the water velocity data. Till present, there is still no publication has been found on estimating of water velocity data in unregulated river using water level. Therefore, a novel technique of estimating the daily average water velocity data in unregulated rivers is proposed. The modelling of regression equation for water velocity estimation was performed and two regression model equations were generated to estimate both water level and water velocity on-site and proven to be valid as the coefficient of determination values had been R2 = 87.4% and R2 = 87.9%, respectively. The combination of both regression model equations can be used to estimate long-term time series water velocity data for type-C unregulated river in remote areas.

This study aims to investigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Turkey's tourism sector. In the study, for the period 12 March 2020 - 31 August 2020 the daily data of the BIST tourism stock index and Covid-19 case and death counts in Turkey were used. The cointegration relationship between the Covid-19 pandemic and the BIST tourism index was investigated with the ARDL bound test. In addition, the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the BIST tourism index was tested with the FMOLS regression method. As a result of the ARDL bound test, it was determined that there is a long-term cointegration relationship between the Covid-19 case and death numbers and the BIST tourism index. According to the FMOLS regression model results, it is seen that the deaths of Covid 19 significantly affect the tourism index. A 1% increase in the number of deaths causes the BIST tourism index to decrease by 0.08%. The coefficient of the number of Covid-19 cases is not significant, showing that the number of cases does not have a sufficient effect on the tourism index.

This article is a study of the commercialization practice of secret marriage in Pekoren Village, Rembang Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province. Secret marriage is carried out by the community using a broker service. In carrying out its duties, the broker asks for payment in the form of dowry money for operational costs and paying for the services of the Kyai who marry off. This case was analyzed using the eyes of Islamic law and juridical law. While the method used is a descriptive qualitative research method by collecting data through reading or reviewing the expressions and behaviors observed from the speakers in the field. From the field it is described, that the commercialization of secret marriage in Pekoren Village is a fixation of the price of dowry as an operational cost that uses the services of kyai and brokers to find the type of women wanted by interested person. In Islamic law, secret marriage is a legal marriage with the fulfillment of requirements and pillars of marriage. Brokers in this case can be categorized as buying and selling because of doing business, but it is still not suggested in Islam. In Positive Law, unregistered marriage is not valid because one element is not fulfilled, namely marriage recording. In line with these conclusions, the holders of the marriage registration policy must emphasize the regulation of marriage registration. For religious leaders, should not facilitate the  secret marriage ceremonies which are patterned as pleasure.

This study aims to determine the effect of working capital turnover, operational cost ratio, inventory turnover on the performance of UD. Firmansyah. The data used are the financial statements for the period 2015-2018. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The number of samples used was 48 samples. Partially the results show that working capital turnover and inventory turnover do not have a significant effect on company performance, while the ratio of operating costs has a significant effect on company performance. Meanwhile, simultaneously the research shows that working capital turnover, operational cost ratio, and inventory turnover have a significant effect on company performance. The coefficient of determination in this study is 0.165, which means that 16.5% of the company's performance can be explained by working capital turnover, operational cost ratio, and inventory turnover variables. At the same time, the remaining 83.5% is explained by other factors not included in this study.

Purpose: This study investigates the effect of strategic intent on the performance of small and medium scale printing firms in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria. Methods: The population of the study included all the small and medium scale printing press in Abuja which is 226 and the sample size of 68. A multiple regression model was formulated to estimate the effect of strategic intent (vision, mission, and objectives) on performance (growth) of small and medium scale printing press firms in Abuja. The study also adopted a control variable such as finance to have a better coefficient of determination. Findings: The study found that strategic intent had a positive and significant effect on the growth of small and medium scale printing press firms in Nigeria. The study also found that finance (collateral, access to finance, and insufficient finance) had a negative and insignificant effect on the growth of small and medium scale printing press firms in Nigeria.  Implication: Small and medium printing press firms in Abuja, FCT should communicate their vision, mission statement, and objectives to their employees. The microfinance banks in collaboration with the central bank of Nigeria should minimize collateral conditions in obtaining microcredit from microfinance banks.

This paper presents the concept of International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) for determining energy saving at whole facility level for an office building in Malaysia. Regression analysis is used to develop baseline model from a set of baseline data which correlates baseline energy with appropriate independents variables, i.e. Cooling Degree Days (CDD) and Number of Working Days (NWD) in this paper. In determining energy savings, the baseline energy is adjusted to the same set condition of reporting period using energy cost avoidance approach. Two types of energy saving analyses have been presented in the case study; 1) Single linear regression for each independent variable, 2) Multiple linear regression for each independent variable. Results show that NWD has coefficient of determination, R2 higher than CDD which indicates that NWD has stronger correlation with the energy use than CDD in the building. Finding also shows that the R2 for multiple linear regression model are higher than single linear regression model. This shows the fact that more than one component are affecting the energy use in the building.

Since the inherent intermittency and uncertainty of renewable energy resources complicates efficient Microgrid operations, a Demand Response (DR) scheme is implemented for customers in the grid to alter their power-usage patterns. However, for a real-time pricing model at the current DR, the automated decision on the energy price is not trustworthy because of artificial interferences to the power generation. As opposed to energy price, an operational cost-based prosumer scheduling approach would be able to protect the integrity of the power grid operations from deceptive market transactions and assist in robust energy management. To investigate the operational challenges associated with the costs and prosumers in the Microgrid, we focus on formulating the problem mathematically and designing approximation algorithms to solve the problem of how to optimally identify suppliers to minimize the total operational costs associated with providing electricity. We prove the hardness of the scheduling as one of the NP-Hard problems and propose polynomial time algorithms for approximating optimal solutions. With a proper resilience level for reliable power services, the scheduling algorithms include ways to construct not only robust supplier networks, but also group energy communities in terms of black start while minimizing the operational costs. A series of theoretical performances and experimental evaluations also demonstrates the practical effectiveness of this scheduling model for the operations.

The main aim of this paper is to perform the validation of the adaptive Gaussian process regression model (AGPRM) developed by the authors for the Stress Intensity Factor (SIF) prediction of a crack propagating in topside piping. For validation purposes, the values of SIF obtained from experiments available in the literature are used. Sixty-six data points (consisting of L, a, c and SIF values obtained by experiments) are used to train the AGPRM, while four independent data sets are used for validation purposes. The experimental validation of the AGPRM also consists of the comparison of the prediction accuracy of AGPRM and Finite Element Method (FEM) relative to the experimentally derived SIF values. Four metrics, namely, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Average Absolute Error (AAE), Maximum Absolute Error (MAE), and Coefficient of Determination (R2), are used to compare the accuracy. A case study illustrating the development and experimental validation of the AGPRM is presented. Results indicate that the prediction accuracy of the AGPRM is comparable with and even higher than that of the FEM, provided the training points of the AGPRM are aptly chosen.

Dock congestion has been becoming increasingly troublesome problem in some regional hub ports in China, resulting in additional operational costs to feeder line shipping companies. To reduce the waiting times at the hub and to lower the operational cost, some companies place a pontoon close to the hub port as floating container terminal to berth smaller containerships. We discuss the justification for setting pontoons close to the hub from the viewpoint of a shipping company, propose a berthing decision model and describe a modified genetic algorithm to optimize the process. Simulation tests show that pontoon setting and rational scheduling can greatly alleviate congestion at the regional hub.
