Abstract  Stigma in today's society considers more sex workers as the dregs of society who only regarded as an immoral person who violates the norms of religion and society, so they are not appreciated. A prostitute is almost the majority have families, both parents, brother, husband or child. Communities usually negative view sex workers family and those views may influence the psychological development of child prostitutes. This study aims to determine the child's self-concept of prostitutes who live in the community. This study uses a qualitative case study approach, which is a special phenomenon that is present in a limited context, although the boundaries between phenomenon and context are not entirely clear. Determination techniques are the subject of the researchers used snowball sampling or chain sampling. The research was conducted in two villages that are within the scope of the district in one district on the island of Java. The subject of this study were children and adolescents aged prostitute who is still undergoing formal schooling. This study found that the first subject has a good self concept. There is not much of a gap between the basic self-concept and ideal self-concept on the subject. The first subject has a perceptual self-concept is not good because the subject is not satisfied with the current physical condition and there are gaps in the basic perceptual components and ideal self-concept. As for the conceptual and attitudinal self concept self concept can be considered a good subject because there is no gap between the conceptual and attitudinal components of the basic categories and ideal self-concept. While the second subject has a poor self-concept, as there are many gaps between the basic self-concept and ideal self concept on the subject. The subject has a perceptual selfconcept is not good, because the subject was not satisfied with his physical condition and his subjects make the situation as a benchmark of the ideal situation for him. This study aims to describe the motives for tantrum behavior in child X in Jorong X, Solok Regency. This study uses a qualitative case study model. The case study model was chosen because this study focused on individual cases, namely the case of tantrum children. The location of this research was conducted in Jorong X in Solok Regency. The research informants were selected by purposive sampling technique with the consideration that the subject was chosen according to the research objectives. Based on this technique, five informants were obtained. The data collection procedure was carried out in three ways, namely open interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The data obtained from the collection techniques were analyzed by referring to the Miles and Huberman model which consists of four steps, namely data collection, coding, and sorting of data which are summarized in data reduction, data display, and concluding. Furthermore, guaranteeing the validity of the research data was carried out by using the triangulation technique, namely by combining three data collection methods. The results showed that tantrum behavior characterized by self-harm is a way for child X to make his wishes come true. The emergence of this behavior is supported by the response of parents who are more directing to a permissive pattern to always grant children's requests.

Empirical evidence in literature identified significant association between spatial ability and educational performance particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The purpose of this study was to explore pre-service teachers’ spatial skills in solving mathematics problems, in the context of coordinate geometry. It is envisaged that spatial skills allow for the perception of visual information and, therefore, spatial cognition has been considered as a key skill in teaching mathematics. However, literature asserts that teachers are ill prepared to teach mathematics, hence there is limited use and misuse of spatial skills in teaching the subject. This study, therefore, examines the spatial orientation of pre-service teachers in teaching coordinate geometry. This is a mixed methods study in which pre-service teachers answered a coordinate geometry test to explore their content knowledge and their ability to interpret, analyse and apply visual spatial models to solve mathematical problems in coordinate geometry. The study established that the spatial orientation skills of pre-service teachers determine their performance in mathematics, especially coordinate geometry.

Background. Student reasoning in learning mathematics contributes significantly to the achievement of student mathematics learning outcomes. The main objective of this study is to investigate the process of reversible reasoning in students for inverse problems, in the case of Adjie (Ad). The research method used to reveal the reversible reasoning in Adjie's case using descriptive qualitative research methods. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique where the research sample was selected based on reversible reasoning criteria. Retrieval research data uses the results of students' mathematical work, think aloud, interviews, and the components that cause reversible reasoning. The results of our study found that the process begins with an obstacle that causes Ad to be unable to continue the resolution process, resulting in a metacognition process by analyzing the problem again analytically and developing other heuristic strategies. Ad shows a change in perspective where he initially interpreted inverse as the act of swapping independent and dependent variables and switched to interpreting inverse as the opposite of a function process involving analogy and image representation. The contribution of this research provides knowledge that reversible reasoning can occur in understanding and solving mathematical problems in inverse material.
