The purpose of the study was to find out the title role of Pesantren believer Cooperative Mandiri Sidoarjo towards economic empowerment and independence employee boarding schools. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach to the case study method. Data collection was carried out by interviews and direct observation to informants, namely those in charge of pesantren, cooperative and cooperative employees (santri). And secondary data collection comes from journals, text books and other literature. The result of this study is the Mukmin Mandiri Pesantren Cooperative plays a major role in enhancing the empowerment of cooperative employees (santri) and playing an optimal role in supporting the independence of the cottage. The economic empowerment of pesantren employees conducted by the Mukmin Mandiri Pesantren Cooperative is by making the Cooperative a work field, a place to apply knowledge and a place to increase income. As for the independence of the cottage, that is to become the main source of funding for Islamic boarding schools in carrying out operations and the sustainability of Islamic boarding schools. Going forward, the Cooperative will further optimize the empowerment of union employees (santri) to print better students in the field of entrepreneurship and religion.Keywords: Cooperative Boarding School, Economic Empowerment, Independence of Islamic Boarding Schools

The Village

The research goal is to figure out the role of the Al-Mawaddah Islamic Girl Boarding School or Kiswah against economic empowerment employee of boarding school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach with case studies. Data collected by interviews and observations directly to the informant that is in charge of the cooperative and the community surrounding the village of Coper Jetis Ponorogo and secondary data collection is derived from the journal, text books and other literature.Results from this study is a Kiswah role in the economic empowerment of the employees but still less perfect or less than optimal. The employees economic empowerment conducted by the Cooperative Al-Mawaddah Islamic Girl Boarding School or Kiswah by making Kiswah as employment and to increase their income. Going forward, Kiswah will change the shape of this cooperative that previously was business cooperatives into credit unions or other forms of cooperatives.

The purpose of this study was to compile a model of empowerment and a form of economic independence conducted at Mamba'us Sholihin Gresik Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out by interviewing boarding school leaders, koppontren leaders, and leaders of pesantren social institutions, santri, surrounding communities, observation, and documentation. Secondary data collection came from journals, text books, boarding schools and literature. The results of this study are Islamic Boarding School Mamba'us Sholihin using a Muslim model in empowering santri through practice, training and becoming employees in the business units owned by Islamic boarding. Whereas in the empowerment of the surrounding community it is carried out through Islamic boarding social institutions, namely in the form of basic food assistance, routine studies, Ramadhan guidance, free medical assistance, and assistance in the event of a natural disaster. The manifestation of Islamic boarding’s economic independence is being able to meet the operational needs of Islamic boarding from the profit of the business units owned by the Islamic boarding.Keywords: Islamic Boarding School, Empowerment, Economic Independence

This study aims to describe the role of productive endowments in economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. This study used qualitative research methods. The analysis technique used is descriptive with a case study method in which this research is conducted by conducting interviews, documentation and direct observation. The results of the study show that the Nazi Hasyim Asyari Foundation has managed 7 productive waqf units which focus on the local unit of teaching and learning very well as seen from the average monthly profit of around 2.2 billion Rupiah. The profit is allocated 80% for the development of Islamic boarding schools and 20% for scholarships amounting to 80% of elementary school students, 75% of santri Mualimin and 100% for students. Scholarships are only given to classical education units on ideological grounds. All funding for all activities at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School comes from the income of productive waqf units which are supervised and developed by the Hasyim Asyari FoundationKeywords: waqf, productive waqf, productive waqf units, productive waqf roles, nazhir Hasyim Asyari Foundation

<p><em>This study aims to determine the implementation of the UPPKS program, the role of UPPKS cadres, the supporting components of the UPPKS program and obstacles in family economic empowerment activities through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village, Saradan, Madiun. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data uses source triangulation. The results show, (1) The implementation of family economic empowerment through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village runs quite well in savings and loan activities. (2) The role of UPPKS cadres in Sukorejo Village is as facilitators in conveying what their members want to the UPPKS program organizers. (3) Supporting components in the implementation of UPPKS activities in Sukorejo Village are Village Village, Saradan PLKB, and BKKBN. (4) Obstacles in the process of family economic empowerment through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village, namely the existence of members who are less active in the activities of UPPKS groups and members who move domiciles, so that UPPKS members are reduced.</em></p>

The objective of the study was to analyze the role of islamic boarding school in preventing radicalism in Rejang Lebong regency. The study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection was done though interview, documentation and observation. The result showed that in playing the role, islamic boarding school recently became the target of people's distrust: this was the place of radicalism and terrorism. According to the analysis, there was no school found as the place of radicalism and terrorism. Some schools even actively prevent radicalism and terrorism effectively. In conclusion, the role of islamic boarding schools in Rejang Lebong to prevent radicalism and terrorism through the tight control was effective. This study aims to find out how the East Java BAZNAS is in the empowerment of disability communities in Sidoharjo Village, Jambon District, Ponorogo, East Java, and to look at the problems that exist to find a solution together. The descriptive qualitative approach with the case study method is the research method used. Using interviews with informants, namely, people who are trusted by BAZNAS to distribute and monitor what is needed by the community and he is also an officer of the Kesra sub-district in Sidoharjo Village. The secondary data comes from journal articles, textbooks and other literature. The results of the study were that the BAZNAS program was very instrumental in helping the community in Sidoharjo Village. Assistance is given aiming to empower people with disabilities; in reality, it fails in the middle of the road. For this reason, community participation is needed considering that human resources are vital to assist them because they can still be empowered as long as they are patient, especially those with mild and moderate disabilities.Keywords: East Java Baznas, Community Empowerment, Disabled Persons, Disability Community Empowerment

This study attempts to examine and analyze in detail the role of the community in disseminating the Darut Tafsir Islamic Boarding School at the city of  Bogor, West Java. For more details, this study examines in detail on "how to promote community participation in Darut Tafsir Islamic Boarding School?", Which focused on: 1) community participation in boarding school socialization planning, 2) community participation in boarding school socialization leading, 3) community participation in boarding school socialization controlling. This study will use a qualitative approach and methods used in this study is the case study method. It will be discussed in this study are: Firstly, community participation in socialization boarding school planning, consisting of: a) community participation in socialization planning, b) the way to involve the community participation in socialization planning, c) community participation in the process of socialization planning. Secondly, community participation in boarding school socialization leading, consisting of: a) community participation in socialization leading, b) the way to involve the community participation in socialization leading, c) community participation in the process of socialization leading. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat sekitarnya, ditinjau dari perspektif ekonomi islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan strategi studi kasus. Teknik analisis dengan mendasarkan pada preposisi teoritis, yaitu mengikuti preposisi teoritis yang menuntun studi kasus. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber, yaitu menguji kredibilitas data yang telah diperoleh dengan mengeceknya melalui beberapa sumber. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pondok Pesantern An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo memiliki amal-amal usaha diantaranya usaha berupa SPBU, koperasi pondok pesantren, bengkel, Bank Wakaf Mikro dan juga budidaya perikanan. Amal-amal usaha tersebut menjadikan Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo ini bisa memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar dengan merekrut masyarakat sekitar untuk dijadikan karyawan dari beberapa amal usaha yang dimiliki pondok pesantren, Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga membuka peminjaman dana (tanpa agunan dan bunga) di Bank Wakaf Mikro milik pondok pesantren bagi masyarakat yang ingin membuka usaha sendiri atau ada keperluan lain. Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga melakukan pendistribusian tahunan berupa parcel saat Idul fitri dan juga hasil qurban saat Idul adha. Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga membuka kerjasama dengan para masyarakat seperti disediakan stan untuk masyarakat yang ingin berjualan saat pondok pesantren mengadakan bazaar atau acara pengajian umum, masyarakat sekitar juga bisa bekerja sama dengan pihak pondok pesantren seperti menitipkan barang dagangannya ke pihak pondok pesantren (menitipkan di kantin & koperasi pondok pesantren);Kata Kunci: pondok pesantren, pemberdayaan ekonomi, masyarakat sekitar, ekonomi Islam ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the role of the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic boarding school in the economic empowerment of the surrounding community, from an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The analysis technique is based on theoretical prepositions, namely following theoretical prepositions that guide case studies. The data validity technique uses the source triangulation technique, which is to test the credibility of the data that has been obtained by checking it through several sources. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic Boarding School has business charities including business in the form of gas stations, Islamic boarding school cooperatives, workshops, Micro Waqf Bank and fisheries cultivation. These charitable efforts have enabled the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic boarding school to empower the economy of the surrounding community by recruiting local people to become employees of several charitable businesses owned by the Islamic boarding school. (without collateral and interest) in the Micro Waqf Bank belonging to the Islamic boarding school for people who want to open their own business or have other needs. Pondok Pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo also distributes annual parcels during Eid al-Fitr and also qurban results during Eid al-adha. The An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic boarding school also opens cooperation with the community, such as providing stands for people who want to sell when the boarding school holds a bazaar or general recitation event, the surrounding community can also cooperate with the Islamic boarding school such as entrusting merchandise to the boarding school. pesantren (entrusted to the canteen & pesantren cooperative)Keywords: Islamic boarding schools, economic empowerment, local communities, Islamic economy

Existing studies have explored philanthropy as fund management practices for economic empowerment of the poor, or building infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, and Islamic boarding schools. This paper portrays another aspect, the role and strategy of Islamic philanthropy organisations in dakwah movement among newly-converted (muallaf) in Yogyakarta. Dakwah activities are normally conducted by dai in mosques through regular sermons. However, that method was considered as less effective as the task of dai is seen to be accomplished when the muallaf recite shahadat. The data here is drawn from a fieldwork at Mualaf Center Yogyakarta (MCY), and its collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa and Rumah Zakat. This research aimed to explore new forms of action by philanthropic organisations in their use of public fund. Through a qualitative approach and a case study method at MCY, this research found that MCY was in partnership with Dompet Dhuafa dan Rumah Zakat in their work. MCY was in charge in supporting spiritual and psychological aspect of muallaf, while Dompet Dhuafa and Rumah Zakat were in charge in empowering the economic and welfare of muallaf. Before receiving such support, the muallaf faced difficulties in conducting Islamic teachings such as praying, fasting, and ablution. After receiving the support, they found easier in fulfilling those.

This research departs from the actualization of the kiai's leadership role in santri character education in Islamic boarding schools, which consists of the role of goal rationality, spirituality, and interpretation of the vision of education in Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to describe the role of the kiai in forming the character of santri in the Asy-Syifa Islamic boarding school. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. data collection with interviews, observation and documentation studies, also data analysis and valid data testing. the results of research on how kiai act as pathfinding, a lightning and empowering in the process of forming the character of santri, this is illustrated by how the kiai synergizes the great vision of kiai and Islmic boarding school, with typical learning and Islamic boarding school culture and relational patterns of kiai-santri, santri-kiai and santri-community as a comprehensive process of character education patterns in the Asy-Syifa Islamic boarding school
