The students’s low ability in applying physics formula at class VII-B SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin will obstruct student in learning physics and give negative effect on learning outcome especially for material that includes formula. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve the students’s ability in applying physics formula by using problem solving method in direct instruction model at class VII-B SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin. This study utilized Hopkin’s model of classroom action research which consisted of 2 cycles, each cycle included plan, action/ observation, and reflection. The data were obtained from observation and test. The data were analyzed in descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The findings from first cycles to second cycles of this research were as follows: (1) The fidelity of lesson plans as a whole increased from 76,86% to 94,47%, (2) the student’s skill procedure classicaly increased from 86,37% to 100%, (3) the students’s ability in applying physics formula increased from 59,09% to 95,94%, (4) the student’s learning outcome classicaly increased from 59,09% to 95,94%. So, it can be concluded that problem solving method in direct instruction model can improve the students’s ability in applying physics formula in class VIIB SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin.

The purpose of research is to improving problem solving skill of physics at student in SMPN 16 Mataram used mind mapping method at direct instruction model. Subyek research is VIII-E class with 32 students. The type of research is Classroom Action Research which done 2 cycle which consist of planning phase, execution, observation, evaluation, and reflection. Student and teacher activity data were get from observation sheet, and students learning result were get from test in the end of each cycle. Efficacy indicator of this research is if the category activity student is active and be improve, learning result of students is complete clasicality, which students get score ≥ KKM value 75 have reached ≥ 85 % from student grand total following evaluation. The result of this research showing the student activity and learning result is improved. In first cycle got mean score activity student is 10,5 with category active enough, and class mean is 73.6 with clasical complete 65.6 %. In second cycle got mean score activity student is 13,5 with category active, and mean class is 80.9 with complete classical is 87.5%. Based on the results got from each cycle, it can be concluded that the implementation of mind mapping method on direct instruction model can increase the physics problem solving skill of student of SMPN 16 Mataram, specially in vibration and wave chapter.

<p><em>This </em><em>research</em><em> aimed to find out the effect of </em><em>applying</em><em> Discovery Learning</em><em> </em><em>assisted</em><em> by </em><em>ICT</em><em> media</em><em> towards student’s interest and learning outcome in science about single and mixed substances of a total of </em><em>12</em><em> students</em><em> on</em><em> </em><em>fifth </em><em>grade </em><em>of </em><em>SDN 2 Darmakradenan. This </em><em>classroom action research</em><em> was conducted with a cyclical process consisted of 4 stages; plan, action, observation, and reflection, in 2 cycles.</em><em> </em><em>Based on the observation result of student’s interest, only 33,33% of pre</em><em>-cycle</em><em> showed their interest. Then, after </em><em>first</em><em> cycle , it improved 66,67%, and later improved to 91,67% at the end of </em><em>second </em><em>cycle. Based on the formative test result, only 41,67 of the pre</em><em>-</em><em>cycle passed the course. Then, it improved 75,00% in </em><em>first </em><em>cycle, and at the end of </em><em>second </em><em>cycle</em><em> </em><em>100,00% passed the course. On the pre</em><em>-</em><em> cycle, the class’s average grade is about 55.56, and it improved to 83,33 after </em><em>second cycle</em><em>. Based on the analysis above, it can be concluded that Discovery Learning Assisted </em><em>ICT </em><em>Media can improve student’s interest and learning outcome on </em><em>fifth grade </em><em>students </em><em>of </em><em>SDN 2 Darmakradenan in science about single and mixed substances.</em><em></em></p>

Abstract: The lowness of students’ analysis skill and scientific attitude in the class of X-1 of SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin in physics learning became the background of this study. Therefore, this study proposed the solution by implementing Explicit Instruction model together with Practicum method. Using the Hopskin model, the type of the study is a class action research study that comprise of two cycles. Every cycle has the stages of make plan, action/observe, and reflection. The data were collected through test, observation, questionaire, and documentation. The data were analyzed in the way of descriptive-qualitative and quantitative. The study result showed that: (1) the implementation of Lesson Plan (RPP) was improved from good category in cycle I to very good category in cycle II. (2) students’ study result has improved according to classical mastery, from not fullfilled in cycle I (individual mastery was only 40%) to mastered in cycle II (individual mastery was 89%), (3) students’ analysis skill has improved from 40% in cycle I to 89% in cycle II, (4) students’ scientific attitude was also improved from 87.1% in cycle I to 94% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the analysis skill and scientific attitude of students in the class of X-1 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin in dynamic electric topic can be improved through the Explicit Instruction model together with practicum model.  Keywords: Analysis skill, scientific attitude, explicit instruction, prakticum, dynamic electric. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan analisis dan sikap ilmiah siswa kelas X-1 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin pada pembelajaran fisika. Oleh karena itu peneliti mengajukan solusi permasalahan dengan  mengimplementasikan model explicit instruction dengan metode praktikum. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Hopskin yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, tindakan/observasi, dan refleksi. Data diperoleh melalui tes, observasi,  angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Keterlaksanaan RPP meningkat dari kategori baik pada siklus I menjadi berkategori sangat baik pada siklus II, (2) Hasil belajar siswa meningkat berdasarkan ketuntasan klasikal dari tidak tuntas pada siklus I (ketuntasan individu hanya 40%) menjadi tuntas secara klasikal pada siklus II  (ketuntasan individu sebesar 89%), (3) Kemampuan analisis siswa meningkat dari  40% pada siklus I menjadi 89% pada siklus II,  (4) Sikap ilmiah siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari  87,1% pada siklus I menjadi  94% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan analisis dan sikap ilmiah siswa kelas X-1 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin pada materi ajar listrik dinamis dapat ditingkatkan melalui model explicit instruction metode praktikum. Katakunci: Kemampuan analisis, sikap ilmiah, explicit instruction,  praktikum, listrik dinamis

The research is aimed to see and give the description whether the using of card as a learning media can increase the students` achievement in learning japanese language this research design uses action research that consists of two cycles. Every cycle consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument used to know the students` activity during the teachung and learning process.This research consists of two cycles. Every cycle consits of four meetings. If there is a weakness in the first cycle, it result will be repaired in the second cycle. The result of the research is that 1, 56% students listens teacher`s explanation, 14, 06 % students take note from the tacher`s explanation, 44, 53 % students give opinion, 23, 44 % students ask questions, and 43, 34 % students answer the questions. By using card as media in learning process, it is hoped that the students will be motivated and interested in learning japanese language.Key words : media card, development of the result learning

This study concerns on improving students’ achievement in writing procedure texts through word webbing technique. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population was the 2012-2013 nine grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The number of students was 36, consisting of 21 females and 15 males. The procedure of the research was administrated into two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. Each meeting included four steps namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. There were two kinds of data collected during the study, qualitative and quantitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data was the writing of procedure texts test while the qualitative data were gathered by using interview, diary notes and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis, the mean of students’ score in Test I was 53,47, for the Test II was 63,05, and for the Test III was 75 The qualitative data showed that the students were interested in the applying of Word webbing Technique. The conclusion is that Word Webbing Technique in writing Procedure Texts improves the students’ achievement in writing procedure texts. This research was conducted to solve students’ problem in speaking especially the students never practiced to speak each other. The researcher applied the three-step interview technique in improving their speaking ability. The instruments were speaking test, observation sheet and questionnaire. The researcher applied Classroom Action Research. It consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted four meetings and four steps. The steps included plan, action, observation, and reflection.The result of the research in the first cycle showed that the students’ achievement and performance were so low. It could be seen from the students’ score in the first cycle was 2.74. the highest score in the first cycle was 4 which were acquired by three students but the highest score at the end of the second cycle was 5.3 which was acquired by 4 students. The lowest score in the first cycle was 1.7 which acquired by one student and the lowest score in the second cycle was 3.3 which was acquired by four students. Based on the data, the researcher concluded that three-step interview technique could increase the students’ ability in speaking. This technique had proven that three-step interview technique was a successful technique to help students in speaking.

The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation process inquiry and to understand improving  creativity of children 5-6 years old  through inquiry. The study was conducted on group A Kindergarten with of seventen children.  This study used action research methods by Kemmis and Taggart which consist of 4 stages (plan, action, observation and reflection). This study consisted of two cycles, each cycles consisting of 8 sessions. Data collecting techniques used observation, field notes and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistics that compare the result obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. Analysis of qualitative data by analizing data from the observation, fields notes and documentation during the study to the steps of data reduction, data display and data verification. The result of this study showed that there was the improving interpersonal intelegence through play music with score in pre cycle 24,9 had improvement to 44,9 and become 67,7 in cycle II and excellent growing category. ABSTRAK Masih kurang  minatnya siswa dalam belajar khususnya pelajaran matematika,  salah satu sebab adalah  metode yang digunakan oleh guru masih konvensional dan siswa bekerja secara individu, sehingga siswa yang kurang mampu kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dengan benar.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bilangan berpangkat dengan  model problem posing pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Batu.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain  Penelitian Tindakan Kelas  (Classroom Action Research),  pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan  kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang datanya tanpa menggunakan teknik statistik. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi.Berdasarkan data yang diperolah dari pelaksanaan tindakan mulai siklus 1 sampai dengan siklus 2 dan berdasarkan hasil observasi tiap-tiap siklus terjadi peningkatan prestasi yaitu siswa yang mendapat nilai kurang dari KKM dari 17 siswa menjadi 7 siswa, mengalami peningkatan siswa yang mendapat nilai memenuhi KKM dari 18 menjadi 27 siswa, dan rata-rata tes siswa dari  62,29 menjadi 71,76 mengalami kenaikan 2,47%, serta prosentase ketuntasa juga mengalami peningkatan dari 48,6% menjadi 79,4% meningkat 30,8%.Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan model problem posing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada materi bilangan berpangkat. Kata Kunci: Peningkatan hasil belajar, Bilangan berpangkat, Problem Posing ABSTRACT The lack of student’s study interest especially on mathematics, one of the reason is the method is still conventional and students work individually, with the result that students harder to understanding the concept correctly. The purpose of this research is improving learning outcome on exponential numbers with problem posing model in 3rd years students on State Junior High School Batu. This research using Classroom Action Research design and qualitative approach, which is the research that not using statistics technique. This Classroom Action Research executed in two cycle. Every cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on data that obtained from the 1st cycle until 2nd cycle and based on observation from every cycle there is an achievement increase that is students that having under the minimum learning mastery standard from the initial is 17 students increase to 7 students, then there is increase the numbers of students that having on the minimum learning mastery standard from 18 to 27 students, and the average of students’ test from 62,29 to 71,76 (increasing 2,47%), so the percentage of learning mastery increased from 48,6% to 79,4% increase for about 30,8%. This shows that Problem Posing approach can increasing student’s study result especially on exponential numbers subject. Keyword: Increase of study result, Exponential numbers, Problem Posing

The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of introduction of geometry in the 5 to 6 year old children  through blocks playing activities. The subject of this research is children in grade B, RA Al-Watoniyah 16 Rawa Terate Cakung, East Jakarta. The method uses classroom action research. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approach according to Kemmis model which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The average score obtained in pre intervention is  35.90%. Based on these results, interventions must be taken through blocks playing activities. After doing intervention in cycle I, the results obtain an average score of 61.52%. Then intervention in cycle II obtains an average score of 80.97%. Based on the results of research that has been implemented, blocks playing activities can improve the ability children to introduction geometry effectively. Furthermore, this activity also can improve the moral, cognitive, social emotional, language and motor development.

This study was employed to enhance learning motivation and mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 7 Purwokerto through SFAE learning with problem-solving strategies. The subjects of this study were 31 students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 7 Purwokerto. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted collaboratively and participative. The action research was carried out in 3 cycles, with each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Students were given a questionnaire to measure learning motivation and a test to measure their mathematical problem-solving abilities at the end of each cycle. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The finding showed that implementing of SFAE learning with problem-solving strategies could increase students’ learning motivation and mathematical problem-solving abilities. The study found that (1) The average percentage of the overall learning motivation questionnaire is steadily increased from 61.71% in cycle one to 68.10% in cycle two and 76.03% in cycle three. (2) The average percentage of student tests for problem-solving abilities in cycle one also significantly increases from 35.21% to 53.20% in cycle two and 79.61% in cycle three. The average student test rate for each indicator of problem-solving ability has met the study’s success criteria.
