This research is based on the number of students who find it difficult to learn physics because of the lack of understanding of concepts and only memorization and still lack of communication skills of students. Based on this background, a study was conducted that aims to improve the understanding of students' concepts and communication skills by applying snowball throwing learning model on gas kinetic theory material. The method used in this study is experimental method, the population in this study is all students of XI IPA SMA IT Nurul Jannah and then selected with simple random sampling technique so that there are 23 students of grade XI IPA SMA IT Nurul Jannah. The result of the study is the application of snowball throwing model can improve the understanding of the concept with a pretest average of 25,6 and then increase by a posttest average of 57,4, with a large N-gain of 0,4 so that the medium category and t-test results of 7,65 are greater than the table t with a confidence level of 5%. The snowball throwing learning model can also improve students' communication skills, with an initial average of 45,41 and after the application of the model to 67,15, with a large N-gain of 0,4 so that the medium category, as well as the t-test results are 8,48 greater than the large, t-table that is 2,07. So, it can be concluded that the Learning Model of Snowball Throwing can improve the concept and communication skills understanding of student. For further research, it is recommended to utilize learning media to improve concept understanding by collaborating using snowball throwing learning models.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to find out students’ communication skills after using cooperative learning model type pair checks and by lecturing and discussion method, to know the difference of students’ learning results after using cooperative learning model type pair checks and by lecturing and discussion method, and also to know the effectiveness of usng cooperative learning model type pair checks. It is a quasi experimental. Research used simple random sampling technique in taking the sample. The analysis of students learning results reported that the mean of students in experimental class 86,94 % is higher than the mean of students in control class 64,30 %. The analysis of students communication skills results reported that the percentage of students communication skills in experimental class 84% is higher than the percentage of students’ communication skills in control class 65%. The result of statistic test with α = 5 % the value is 0,00 which is lower than α (0,00<0,005). It means that there are some differences between esperimental class and control class. Effect size showed ES = 1,22 categorized as high, which means that cooperative learning model type pair checks affect significantly to students’ learning results as 38,69%.Keywords: Learning results, communication skills, Solubility and Solubility Product, Type of Pair Checks

Background: The learning process of biology does not only promote discovery but also a process of discovery by being able to increase scientific attitudes. In addition, the selection of a learning model is very influential on success in learning. Inquiry learning emphasizes critical thinking and analysis to find the answer to a question in question. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of the Guided Inquiry learning method on the ability to use scientific methods. Methods: Quasi-experimental with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. A multiple-choice test totalling 18 questions was used as an instrument. The research data were analyzed using the Mann U-Withney non-parametric statistical test. Results: The test results obtained that the calculated Z value of 6.8 is greater than the Z table value (0.05) of 1.96.  Conclusions: there is an effect of using the Guided Inquiry learning model on the ability to use scientific methods of class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Karawang.

This study aims to determine the effect of group investigation (GI) learning model with brainstorming technique on student physics learning outcomes (PLO) compared to jigsaw learning model with brainstroming technique. The learning outcome in this research are the results of learning in the cognitive domain. The method used in this research is experiment with Randomised Postest Only Control Group Design. Population in this research is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Kupang year lesson 2015/2016. The selected sample are 40 students of class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and 38 students of class XI IPA 2 as the control class using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used is 13 items description test. The first hypothesis was tested by using two tailed t-test. From that, it is obtained that H0 rejected which means there are differences of students physics learning outcome. The second hypothesis was tested using one tailed t-test. It is obtained that H0 rejected which means the students PLO in experiment class were higher than control class. Based on the results of this study, researchers recommend the use of GI learning models with brainstorming techniques to improve PLO, especially in the cognitive domain.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the Cooperative Learning model of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type to the learning outcomes of Basic Electricity and Electronics in class X TAV students at SMKN 1 Kinali. This type of research is a quasi experiment with a randomized control group only design. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The research sample XTAV1 (control class) is applied to the conventional learning model and XTAV2 (experimental class) is applied to the TAI learning model. The research data are the posttest value of the experimental and control class. Then the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test were analyzed. Based on the research data, the mean value of the control class was 76,30 and the experiment was 84,10. Hypothesis test results at a significant level α = 0,05 obtained tcount 3,14 and ttable 1,69 (tcount>ttable) can be identified Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The test results provide an interpretation of the significant influence of learning outcomes by applying the TAI learning model in the subjects of Basic Electricity and Electronics class X TAV in SMK N 1 Kinali. Keywords:TAI Learning Model, quasi experiment, Learning Outcomes

The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication ability of students in terms of gender. This type of research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at Soe Middle School 3 2018/2019 school year. The source of data in this study were 20 VIII 10 students, consisting of 10 men and 10 women. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a test of mathematical communication skills. The research procedure goes through several stages, namely: 1) preparation of mathematics communication skills test questions, 2) validating test questions and results analysis, 3) providing tests and collecting test results, 4) analyzing test results, 5) drawing conclusions. From the results, the communication skills of female students on all indicators have a higher value than male students. Female students are more thorough, careful and patient in solving mathematical problems so they are able to communicate mathematical ideas with pictures, diagrams or symbols and have a better mathematical representation than male students of the study. It can be concluded that the mathematical communication ability of female students is higher than the mathematical communication ability of male students that is equal to 58.71% or a difference of 17.42%

This study aims to determine how the compensation provided in PG Rejo Agung Madiun, want to know the performance of employees at PG Rejo Agung Baru Madiun and to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance in PG Rejo Agung Madiun.The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling. The population in this study are all permanent employees of the PG Rejo Agung Baru Madiun numbering 104 people, while being taken as a sample of 50 people. For data analysis used a linear regression analysis, t-test, correlation and independent sample t test.The results showed that the regression Y = 43.534 + 0,276X, constants of 43.534, meaning if there is no variable compensation (X), then the employee's performance of 43.534 units and the coefficient of the variable compensation (X) of 0.276 means that if the variable compensation (X) increased by one unit, the performance of employees will increase by 0,276 units. Furthermore, from the results of independent t test results obtained -thitung&lt; -ttabel (-2.247 &lt;-1.9845) or Sighit&lt; Sigprob (0.027 &lt;0.05), meaning that compensation has different influence on the performance of employees in PG Rejo Agung Madiun.

The problem statement of the research was: does the implementation of the constructivism learning model improve the comprehending of physics concepts in the vibration and wave material of students in seventh-grade of MTS Negeri Wolowaru? The research aimed to determine the implementation of the constructivism learning model in improving the comprehending of the physics concept in the vibration and wave material of students in seventh-grade of MTS Negeri Wolowaru. The research used a quantitative approach. The population of the study was 60 students of seventh-grade of MTS Negeri Wolowaru. Meanwhile, the sample was 20 students selected through a random sampling technique. The data were the test results of the vibration and wave material. Data analysis was performed by the t-test. Based on data analysis and discussion, it concluded that the implementation of the constructivism learning model improved the students' comprehending of physics concepts on vibration and wave material. This conclusion was proved by the results of data analysis, namely tcalculate> ttable = 4.395> 1.729 at the significant level = 0.05 and dk = 19.

Abstract. This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication skills using the Circuit Learning learning model. This research is a Quasi Experiment study with the design of the Randomized Subjects Posstest Only Control Group Design. The study population was all students of class X SMA N 1 Pasir Penyu. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The instrument used was a mathematical communication ability test in the form of a description. Data were analyzed statistically by the Independent Samples T-Test. Based on the results of the t test, tcount in the rejection area of H0 can be concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students taught with the circuit learning learning model are better than conventional learning.Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Circuit Learning.

The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) on students' mathematical communication skills; (2) find out whether the mathematical communication skills of students with the cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type are higher than the mathematical communication skills of students with conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research using the pretest-posttest control group research design. The study population was all seventh grade students of Pancur Batu 2 Junior High School consisting of eight classes. The research sample was selected using simple random sampling technique, so that class VII3 was obtained as the experimental class and class VII-5 as the control class with each number of students as many as 32 students. The data used in this study are quantitative data. Based on the analysis of research data, the following results were obtained: (1) the results of analysis and regression obtained that the influence of cooperative learning type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) had a positive effect with a correlation coefficient of 0.741 and a determination coefficient of 54.8%; (2) the results of the t-test analysis with the value of t count = 5.643 and t table = 1.669 which means t count> t table, then the hypothesis Ho is rejected. So that it can be concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students taught by cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) are higher than the mathematical communication skills of students who are taught by conventional learning.

Abstract. This research is based on the students' mathematical communication ability at SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Penyu which is still low. To overcome the problem is applied learning model Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR). This study aims to determine the ability of students' mathematical communication using the learning model of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR). This research type is quasi experiment research. The research design used was randomized subjects posttest only control group design. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. After the sample was taken randomly, the students selected VIII.6 class as experimental class and students of class VIII.5 as the control class. The instrument in this research is a test of students' mathematical communication skill. The data analysis technique used Independent Samples T-Test (t-test) test. Based on hypothesis test results obtained that tcount = 5,065> ttable = 2.002 with (df = 60) and a real level of 5%. Reject H0 if thitung value is ttable. So it can be concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students using the learning model of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) is better than the students' mathematical communication skills using conventional learning model. Keywords: Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR), mathematical communication.
