This article presents a study on the performance of graduates of the Licentiate´s in Rural Education: Nature Sciences of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (LEDOC/UFRGS), Porto Alegre campus. As a research problem, the following question was established: How do birds from LEDOC/UFRGS campus Porto Alegre fly? The objective was to analyze, from the course monitoring data, the performance of graduates, as well as to reflect on the challenges and potential of teacher education of natural sciences in rural education, based on the interviews carried out. The research is qualitative, of the case study type and semi-structured interviews were used as a research instrument. The Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA) was used to analyze the transcripts. The results were discussed from the category, defined a priori, Triad: Rural – Public Policy – Education in flapping movements. In the end, we consider that the graduates interviewed, after the course, gave new meanings to their ways of reading and intervening in their territories.

Heritage restoration and revitalization contribute to the development of cultural tourism, protecting local history for future generations. So that, it's relevant to preserve and prepare site to receive visitors when it becomes an attraction in the tourist offer. This article aims to present the interrelationships between cultural tourism and heritage, through a case study about the Gymnasium Nossa Senhora das Dores, located in Porto Alegre Historic Center, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Methodologically, the study is supported by a bibliographic review and interviews. It was found that the future Centro Cultural La Salle, to be installed on the site, could become a new tourist attraction, in Porto Alegre Historic Centre. In the same way, the build restoration enhances and prepares it to integrate not only tourist offers, but may also provide new meanings for local inhabitants.

This case study deals with the conceptof Interpersonal Relationship, foreseen in the Pedagogical Projects of the course -PPC's Technologist in Management Processes of Campi of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to being described in PPCs, in profile of the course and the graduate, Interpersonal Relationship is also an extremely valued skill in the world of work. The main objective is to analyze how the concept of Interpersonal Relationship is worked through the courses in Technology inManagement Processes. Paulo Freire's theory and his considerations on critical awareness, dialogicity and humanization served as the basis for this study. The data were generated through interviews with four course coordinators (Porto Alegre, Farroupilha,Osório and Caxias do Sul), in order to analyze their understanding of the concept of Interpersonal Relationship and their insertion throughout the course. The results indicate that the concept of Interpersonal Relationship has a wide approach in some disciplines formalized in the Pedagogical Course Project, but also occurs informally in other disciplines, according to the teachers' pedagogical profile and practices. The work highlights the importance of developing and updating the Pedagogical Course Project, as it is the expression of the course. And it also stresses the relevance of addressing the concept of Interpersonal Relationship in the higher course of Technology in Management Processes, aiming at a humanized formation, extremely valued in the professional sphere.

RESUMO:O trabalho propõe-se a refletir sobre aspectos da construção da territorialidade do Departamento de Arte Dramática (DAD) do Instituto de Artes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), enquanto espaço institucional de prática artística e formação em teatro na cidade de Porto Alegre (RS). O conceito de territorialidade é abordado a partir da perspectiva do historiador teatral Jorge Dubatti (2008), que considera o teatro uma prática sempre inserida em um contexto geográfico, histórico e cultural. Como a territorialidade não pode ser vista como fenômeno a priori, busca-se problematizar a construção do referido espaço, através de relatos memoriais que remontam o momento inicial de constituição do DAD, outrora denominado Curso de Arte Dramática (CAD). A demanda existente na cidade por uma faculdade de teatro e os discursos dos sujeitos que lutaram pela consolidação de um espaço para o ensino superior de teatro são os pontos de partida deste trabalho. A noção de “convívio teatral”, definida por Dubatti como o encontro de corpos presentes que estabelecem vínculos e afeições em um dado território, permite pensar o CAD como um espaço propulsor de experiências, práticas artísticas e subjetividades que perduram até a atualidade, caracterizando o DAD de forma diferenciada dentro da universidade e para além dos seus muros.

Avaliar o registro dos enfermeiros nos prontuários do paciente eletrônico e convencional, com vista à melhoria da qualidade do cuidado. Estudo descritivo, tipo estudo de caso. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com 8 enfermeiros da enfermaria de coronariopatias e a análise dos registros nos dois tipos de prontuários do paciente. Nos 25 prontuários revistos, constatou-se o número de 51 registros, sendo 37 do prontuário eletrônico e 14 do prontuário convencional, média de 31 dias de internação. Atrelou-se a não realização ao número insuficiente de profissionais de enfermagem no setor em comparação à complexidade dos pacientes atendidos. Destaca-se como obstáculo o quantitativo de pessoal da equipe de enfermagem e sua carga de trabalho. Consequentemente, há necessidade de ajustes quantitativo e qualitativo no processo de trabalho relacionados a execução desta e das demais tarefas para que possam ser adequadamente conduzidas.Descritores: Cuidados de Enfermagem, Registros Eletrônicos de Saúde, Carga de trabalho. Nursing records and their implications for the quality of careAbstract: To evaluate nurses' records in the electronic and conventional patient charts, with a view to improving the quality of care. Resumo: A proposta deste artigo é descrever uma investigação qualitativa, caracterizada como estudo de casos múltiplos, que envolveu sete professores da área de Ciências da Natureza que atuam em uma escola pública estadual do Rio Grande do Sul. Objetivou-se que esses movimentos de pesquisa fornecessem elementos considerados indicadores específicos para a construção de ações futuras de formação continuada. Tendo-se como referência a produção acadêmica contemporânea da área educacional e as diretrizes nacionais para as licenciaturas, foi construído e aplicado um questionário com questões abertas e fechadas, utilizando-se análise de conteúdo como técnica interpretativa das respostas descritivas. As análises efetuadas revelaram aproximações e afastamentos entre as visões dos sujeitos sobre as virtudes e fraquezas pertencentes aos respectivos cursos de formação inicial, bem como especificidades das condições de trabalho e do perfil profissional de cada docente que apresenta potencial para nortear, ainda que de modo parcial, o planejamento desejado.Palavras-chave: Formação docente. Educação em Ciências. INITIAL EDUCATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS OF NATURAL SCIENCES TEACHERS: STUDY OF ELEMENTS RELATED TO CONTINUED EDUCATION  Abstract: The purpose of this article is to describe a qualitative investigation characterized as a multiple case study involving seven professors from the Natural Sciences area who work in a state public school in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. These research movements were designed to provide elements regarded as specific indicators in which to base the construction of future actions for continued education. Referring to the contemporary academic production within educational area and national guidelines for undergraduate courses, a questionnaire with open and closed questions was designed and applied using content analysis as an interpretive technique of descriptive answers. Analyses carried out revealed approximations and withdrawals between the subjects' views on the virtues and weaknesses belonging to respective initial education courses, as well as specificities of working conditions and  professional profile of each teacher who has the potential to guide albeit in partially the desired planning.Keywords: Teacher education. Resumo: O artigo apresenta a discussão sobre materiais didáticos que auxiliam na educação inclusiva de alunos que possuem deficiência visual. As pesquisas têm apontado carência de recursos didáticos adaptados ao cotidiano escolar dos alunos com deficiência. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um material didático adaptado que se mostrou eficiente e contribuiu para o avanço do processo de aprendizagem de uma aluna com baixa visão no estudo do conteúdo Sistema Digestório Humano. A pesquisa é do tipo estudo de caso e o seu paradigma é do tipo qualitativo. O desenho metodológico incluiu a organização de duas entrevistas semiestruturadas com uma aluna com baixa visão, sendo uma anterior e outra posterior à prática com o uso do material adaptado. Com o presente estudo, foi possível concluir que a utilização de recursos didáticos demonstra potencial positivo na promoção da aprendizagem significativa de alunos com deficiência visual na disciplina de Ciências.Palavras-chave: Educação Inclusiva; Recursos Didáticos; Ciências. Abstract: This article presents the discussion about the didatic materials that help in inclusive education for students with visual impairment. Research has pointed to a lack of didactic resources adapted to the daily school life of students with disabilities. The objective of this paper is to present an adapted didatic material that proved to be efficient and contributed to the advancement of the learning process of a student with low vision in the study of the Human Digestive System content. The research is of the case study type and its paradigm is of the qualitative type. The methodological design included the organization of two semi-structured interviews with a student with low vision, one before and one after the practice with the use of adapted material. With the present study, it was possible to conclude that the use of didactic resources demonstrates positive potential in promoting the meaningful learning of visually impaired students in the Science discipline.Keywords: Inclusive Education; Didactic Resources; Sciences.

A study aimed to get to know the challenges of environmental education in a hospital, from the perspective of the individuals involved in its planning and execution. The research used a qualitative approach, case study type, using the workers of the Center for Environmental Education of a hospital group in the Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, as subjects. Data were collected, between August 2011 and January 2012, through documental research and interviews, and analyzed by content analysis. The challenges of environmental education include the lack of an institutional environmental policy that works as a financial, legal, human, and structural background for the development of actions focused on this topic. It was also observed that academic graduation does not consider environmental sustainability. It is clear that to work on these institutional challenges and overcome them during the development of environmental education is a prerogative for the construction of knowledge in environmental sustainability.

 A pesquisa, de caráter interdisciplinar, tem como problema central a reordenação da história do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciências e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul - Campus Porto Alegre com vistas a consolidar a sua importância nas transformações socioculturais, delinear sua identidade frente às rupturas e à adoção a novos projetos, como a passagem da Escola Técnica de Comércio da UFRGS para a condição de Instituto Federal. A pesquisa se dá através de estudo de caso de abordagem qualitativa e de entrevistas semiestruturadas com a seleção de sujeitos que atuaram em diferentes períodos na instituição, documentos institucionais, bem como imagens de acervo pessoal como estratégia de motivação à memória. Os resultados obtidos até o momento nos levaram a pensar a trajetória da instituição através do tempo e seus diferentes períodos do ensino técnico-científico, e como essas mudanças contribuem significativamente para o crescimento da instituição, possibilitando uma maior oferta de vagas e cursos para a sociedade porto-alegrense. Palavras chaves: IFRS - Campus Porto Alegre. Ensino Superior.Plotting the images of time through education, technology and work Abstract The research, interdisciplinary, has the central problem reordering the history of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul - Porto Alegre Campus with a view to consolidating its importance in the socio-cultural transformations, outlining their identity on the face of disruptions and the adoption of new projects, such as the passage of the Technical School of Commerce UFRGS for the condition of the Federal Institute. ResumoO artigo pretende refletir sobre as relações entre o pensamento decolonial e o campo da educação, tomando como base uma etnografia das práticas educativas interculturais desenvolvidas no cotidiano de uma religião de matriz africana na Amazônia, o Tambor de Mina. Os dados deste estudo foram obtidos por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso etnográfico, no qual se realizou observação participante das práticas sociais, religiosas e educacionais do terreiro, entrevistas semiestruturadas com membros da casa, entrevistas etnográficas com entidades espirituais incorporadas em seus adeptos, descrição densa e levantamento de traços da história de vida dos sujeitos. Espera-se, a um só tempo, contribuir para o debate epistemológico centrado no cruzamento entre decolonialidade e educação, bem como discutir, a partir de elementos presentes na prática investigada, a possibilidade de construção de uma pedagogia decolonial na Amazônia que, dentre outros contributos, promova a tolerância na diversidade cultural e religiosa.Palavras-chave: Pedagogia decolonial; Educação; Tambor de Mina; Interculturalidade; Amazônia.Intercultural education in religion of African origin in Amazon: contributions to a Decolonial PedagogyAbstractThe article aims to reflect on relations between the decolonial thought and the education, based on an ethnography of intercultural education developed in the daily life of a religion of African origin in Amazon, the Tambor de Mina. Data from this study were obtained through a qualitative research, of an ethnographic case study type, with participant observation of social, religious and educational practices of the religion, semi-structured interviews with members of the house, ethnographic interviews with spiritual entities incorporated in its followers, dense description and life story of the subjects. It is expected, at the same time, contributing to the epistemological debate centered at the intersection between decoloniality and education, as well as to discuss, from elements present in the investigated practice, the possibility of building a decolonial pedagogy in the Amazon which, among other contributions, promote the tolerance in the cultural and religious diversity.Keywords: Decolonial Pedagogy; Education; Tambor de Mina; Interculturality; Amazon.

This case study with a qualitative approach presents an analysis of the perceptions of family caregivers/companions and health workers concerning adverse events in care contexts. A total of 15 companions and 23 health workers from pediatric hospitalization units of a university hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil participated in this study from August to December 2010. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed through thematic content analysis using QSR's Nvivo version 7.0. Seven thematic categories emerged from the analysis. The results highlight reviewing and checking workers' interventions and implementing effective communication among workers, caregivers and children. The main recommendations concern changing the organizational culture of health facilities, emphasizing safe care and a systemic view of the evaluation of adverse events.
