The objective of this research is to gain a deep understanding of the implementation of internal audit for school quality assurance at 30 junior high school  Jakarta, held from November 2011 to August 2012. The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study, and recording. The data validity obtained through the extension of time doing research, triangulation and member check. The data anylisis obtained through collecting data, display and reducing with make comparing to concept and theories to make conclusion and interpretation of data as result of research findings.The result of data anylisis and interpretation indicates that the success of quality assurance relates to (1) quality policy with quality objectives which refers to vision, mission and customer requirement, (2) there are values developed in the same breath with school values combined with personal value held by the auditor to carrying out responsibilities (3) there is school leadership role in internal audit at the stage of implementation, supervision and decision making. The finding lead to the recommendation to practice the best implementation for other school based on the success of 30 Junior High School in quality assurance with commitment from all components of school to pay attention to the quality objectives as the focus of all the activities carried out.

The objective of this research is to comprehend contribution of ISO 9001:2008 in improving school quality management. It is a qualitative research with a case study method conducted in 115 Junior High School, Jakarta since February to May 2013. The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study, and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that (1) continuous improvement is a cycle of plan, do, check, and act to achieve quality; (2) work process, teamwork, and communication are needed by team work in achieving the quality; (3) training is held by the school to improve the quality of human resources. Those aspects done effectively since school management of 115 Junior High School implemented ISO 9001:2008. The findings lead to the recommendation that (1) continuous improvement should be done though not monitored by ISO; (2) increasing commitment to team work; (3) monitoring and evaluation on training should be done internally and externally. It is also recommended for education stakeholders to improve accountability in assessing standard of education.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1.) Mengkaji implementasi manajemen strategik peningkatan mutu lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah di SMP Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin Kabupaten Gunungkidul; dan 2.) Menemukan formulasi alternatif manajemen strategik lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus yang bersifat kualitatif, dengan mengunakan metode observasi, interview dan dokumentasi terhadap dua lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen strategik yang dilakukan oleh SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin melibatkan semua stakeholder. Sekolah terlebih dahulu merumuskan visi misi sekolah dengan mempertimbangkan faktor internal dan eksternal lingkungan sekolah, dilanjutkan merumuskan tujuan dan target mutu sekolah diikuti dengan penentuan strategi yang akan digunakan oleh sekolah demi terealisasinya semua target mutu yang disepakati. Implementasi strategi yang dilakukan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah adalah dengan menjabarkan dan melaksanakan semua strategi yang telah dirumuskan dalam bentuk kegiatan-kegiatan terprogram dan terukur. Evaluasi strategi yang digunakan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin adalah melalui rapat formal maupun informal. AbstractThe objective of the present study is to: 1.) Review the implementation of strategic management for the improvement of the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality in the context of Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin, the Regency of Gunungkidul; and 2.) Identify the alternative formula for the implementation of the strategic management within the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality toward the improvement of the school quality in the Regency of Gunungkidul. The nature of the study is qualitative research using observation, interview, and documentation with two Muhammadiyah educational institutions as the objects of the study. Throughout the data analysis, the technique that has been implemented is the data analysis technique proposed by Miles & Huberman under the following sequence: (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) conclusions. The results of the study show that the implementation of strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin has involved all stakeholders. The two Muhammadiyah educational institutions formulate the school vision and the school mission in the very first place with considerations toward the internal factors and the external factors of the school environment. Then, the two Muhammadiyah educational institutions proceed to the formulation of the objectives and the targets for the school quality followed by the definition of the school strategy in achieving all of the quality targets that have been formulated. Furthermore, the strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin in improving the school quality is elaborating and implementing all strategies that have been formulated in the form of programmed and measured activities. The strategies will be evaluated by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin through the mechanism of both formal and informal meetings.

This study aims to develop an affective evaluation instrument for junior high school students. The research was conducted from November to December 2014 on all of the public and private junior high school in Palangka Raya City. The population of this study was all students in second grade of state and private junior high school in Palangka Raya city spread over 10 (ten) state and private junior high school. Samples were taken by purposive sampling , that is by taking into several considerations of school quality (good, moderate, or less), the type of school (public and private) so it could described a variety of populations . In this study, each category is taken 2 (two) for each public and private schools. So that there are 6 (six) schools as the research sample. In this study are drawn 100 students as the subject of test instruments The instrument tried out was questionnaire by using Likert scale models with 5 (five) options. Try out done twice in difference time in two week. After taken try out of the tests twice it showed that, from 40 items of questionnaire there are 25 valid item of questionnaire and 15 items didn�t valid with the average price r = 0,4. While the reliability test also has taken to the valid items which got r11 at current prices amounted to 0.9089

Financing education in schools is an important thing in effort to improve the quality of education. This study aims to (1) Planning financing strategies in improving school quality; (2) Implementation of financing strategies in improving school quality; and (3) Evaluation of financing strategies in improving school quality. The research approach used is qualitative research with a type of case study research. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation in obtaining data. The stages carried out in the research are the stages of preparation, implementation, and reporting. Data were analyzed by analyzing data, compiling data, synthesizing, looking for patterns, finding out what was meaningful, what was researched and decided to be reported systematically. The results obtained from this study are (1) Planning strategies for improving the quality of Sambas 2 State Junior High School compiled and outlined in the form of RKS and RAPBS; (2) Implementation of financing strategies in Sambas 2 State Junior High School using economic unit strategies, donations of school committee funds and parents of students, submitting proposals to the government and school committees and BOS; (3) Evaluation of financing strategies in improving the quality of education in Sambas 2 State Junior High School is carried out through four stages: evaluation of results of activities for a year/semester and/or quarterly, evaluation of employee performance results through programs, evaluation carried out in accordance with organizational mechanisms, and evaluation analysis SWOT includes the results of internal and external analysis; (4) Evaluation of financing strategies at Sambas 2 State Junior High School is done by making school financial reports which are divided into several items according to the technical reporting guidelines. Based on the results of the study stating that the implementation of the quality improvement strategy through financing strategies at Sambas 2 State Junior High School has been running very well and is in accordance with the principles of financial management and the process of improving the quality of the institution.

<p>The filial school is one of the model of school development where learners study and learn various skills as the basic capital to continue to higher education level. The responsibility of the school's management is fully filial by the parent school in accordance with the quality standards of education services. This research aims to reveal the management of philial school development on the standard of management at Singkawang 11 State Junior High School (SMP Negeri 11 Singkawang ) with the focus of: 1) development planning of filial school in management standard, 2) organizing the development of filial school in management standard, 3) implementation of filial school development on management standard, 4) supervision of filial school development on management standards, 5) constraints faced in the development of filial schools on management standards, and 6) efforts undertaken in the development of filial schools on management standards. The research method used descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collected by in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation and analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, conclusion or verification. Testing of data reliability is done by extending the observation period, and triangulation and member checking. The results of the study conclude: 1) Filial School Development Planning in Management Standards, has been done by Singkawang 11 State Junior High School  by making the vision and mission is implied that support the implementation of philial school development and has been socialized and arranged based on consultation with certain teachers by considering the needs of the school as a basis making, 2) organizing the development of filial schools on the standard of management, that the head of Singkawang 11 State Junior High School  has arranged the organizational structure in connection with the division of main tasks and functions of the teacher and socialized. 3) Implementing the development of filial schools on the standard of management that Singkawang 11 State Junior High School  refers to document I which includes all aspects of school management including philial schools covering curriculum aspects, student aspects, educator aspect and educational staff, aspects of facilities and infrastructure, finance and financing , school culture and school areas, school committees and partnerships, and school management information systems, 4) supervision of filial school development on process standards, that Singkawang 11 State Junior High School  has conducted School Self Evaluation (EDS) conducted annually as a basis for preparation of the Plan School Work (RKS) and principals have conducted classroom supervision activities on teachers. For managerial supervision of the eight national standards of education by school supervisors has been undertaken but not scheduled, 5) The barriers faced in the development of filial schools in management standards consist of internal (internal) and external (external) barriers. obstacles from within include the limitations of learning facilities and infrastructure of students in the form of limited learning buildings, laboratories, libraries, canteen, prayer room, learning books and desks and student learning seats. External obstacles in the form of poor, perforated, and muddy access roads make it difficult for teachers to carry out teaching duties at the filial schools. 6) The efforts made in the development of filial schools in the management standards include the proposal for the rehabilitation of the 2017 study by the principal to the education and cultural offices of Singkawang city, the cooperation of the principal of Singkawang 11 State Junior High School with Singkawang 3 State Junior High School in a grant program of learning facilities in the form of help desk and desk study as well as reference books for studying students in filial schools. </p>

This study aims to examine the development of the profession of junior high school educators in the Kutai Barat District Education Office which includes (1) planning the development process, (2) implementation of the development process and (3) development results.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to produce data with a descriptive qualitative analysis that describes the state of the professional development of junior high school educators in the West Kutai District Education Office. Data collection in this study was done by participant observation or participant observation, documentation and interviews.  The results showed that the development of the profession of junior high school educators in the West Kutai District Education Office at the planning stage had considered management elements with indicators of man, money, materials, machines, methods, marketing, and minutes. At the implementation stage of the development of the profession of junior high school educators in the West Kutai District Education Office also considers management elements with indicators of man, money, material, machines, methods, marketing, and minutes, in the form of socialization, training, in house training, workshoap and MGMP . And at the evaluation stage the results of the development of the profession of junior high school educators in the West Kutai District Education Office showed that of 320junior high school educators as many as 95 people or 29.69% Group IVa and 13 people or 4.06% achieved Group IVb. Recommendations need to be held specifically for Classroom Action Research.

This paper aims to identify the principals distributed leadership practice toward school performance in Junior High Schools, State of South Sulawesi, Indonesia by using quantitative methods. Quantitative data obtained from the questionnaire interviews of 540 respondents from among the teachers. There are four dimensions required for Junior High School principals derived from questionnaire data with the respondent that the vision mission and goals of the school, the school culture, the sharing of responsibilities and leadership practices. The results showed that the culture of the school is the most dominant dimension that can affect school performance and distributed leadership has positive relationship in improving school performance. This means that if the principals perform well in school leadership the school performance can also be improved. Dimensions must be available on the school principals themselves to discharge their duties, especially in leadership activities to improve the performance of schools in South Sulawesi.

This research aimed to determine the causes of truancy in high school students and to understand the psychological dynamics of high school students were absent. To achieve the goal of these studies used the framework of the research question consists of 5 questions, among others: 1). What the causes of truancy in junior high school student, 2). How do parents in implementing parenting at home, 3). How do teachers in delivering the course material; 4) What is the influence of the peer group does truancy; 5). How psychological dynamics junior high school students who were truancy. Qualitative research method used is the case study that examines a single case, with one person subject to the criteria of the study subjects were teenagers who were educated at the Junior High School, was truant more than school provision, 12 - 14 years , male sex and living in Yogyakarta. This study took place in the one of junior high school in Yogyakarta. Data taken using in-depth interviews to subjects and informants, participant observation and field notes. From the analysis carried out it was found that the causes of truant behavior of the subject is 1) The influence of peers, 2) Personal subject it self; 3) Factors parenting from his parents; 4) Threatening and worried environment, 5) the school environment factors. And comorbid psychological dynamics truant behavior consists of three conditions, pre conditions (will do skipping school), while truant and after truant. In addition it also found participation behavior after truant period, the positive behavior in the form of the emergence of a sense of responsibility will backwardness lessons and negative behaviors such as lying to teachers and parents about causes of truant behavior.
