Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1.) Mengkaji implementasi manajemen strategik peningkatan mutu lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah di SMP Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin Kabupaten Gunungkidul; dan 2.) Menemukan formulasi alternatif manajemen strategik lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus yang bersifat kualitatif, dengan mengunakan metode observasi, interview dan dokumentasi terhadap dua lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen strategik yang dilakukan oleh SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin melibatkan semua stakeholder. Sekolah terlebih dahulu merumuskan visi misi sekolah dengan mempertimbangkan faktor internal dan eksternal lingkungan sekolah, dilanjutkan merumuskan tujuan dan target mutu sekolah diikuti dengan penentuan strategi yang akan digunakan oleh sekolah demi terealisasinya semua target mutu yang disepakati. Implementasi strategi yang dilakukan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah adalah dengan menjabarkan dan melaksanakan semua strategi yang telah dirumuskan dalam bentuk kegiatan-kegiatan terprogram dan terukur. Evaluasi strategi yang digunakan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin adalah melalui rapat formal maupun informal. AbstractThe objective of the present study is to: 1.) Review the implementation of strategic management for the improvement of the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality in the context of Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin, the Regency of Gunungkidul; and 2.) Identify the alternative formula for the implementation of the strategic management within the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality toward the improvement of the school quality in the Regency of Gunungkidul. The nature of the study is qualitative research using observation, interview, and documentation with two Muhammadiyah educational institutions as the objects of the study. Throughout the data analysis, the technique that has been implemented is the data analysis technique proposed by Miles & Huberman under the following sequence: (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) conclusions. The results of the study show that the implementation of strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin has involved all stakeholders. The two Muhammadiyah educational institutions formulate the school vision and the school mission in the very first place with considerations toward the internal factors and the external factors of the school environment. Then, the two Muhammadiyah educational institutions proceed to the formulation of the objectives and the targets for the school quality followed by the definition of the school strategy in achieving all of the quality targets that have been formulated. Furthermore, the strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin in improving the school quality is elaborating and implementing all strategies that have been formulated in the form of programmed and measured activities. The strategies will be evaluated by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin through the mechanism of both formal and informal meetings.

Cases of verbal bullying are still prevalent among students in schools. Therefore, efforts are needed through various approaches to overcome the problem. One of the efforts that can be done is through the habituation of krama language in the school environment. This article aims to analyze the application of krama language as an educational communication ethic in Junior High School Islam Prestasi Al Mubtadi-ien Bantul in the perspective of Islamic education. The important issue discussed is the purpose and form of application of manners language as educational communication and its impact on the formation of student behavior seen from the perspective of Islamic education. This research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach in Junior High School Islam Prestasi Al Mubtadi-ien Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data exposure, and inference/verification measures. The results of this study showed: First, the form of educational communication ethics applied in Junior High School Islam Prestasi Al Mubtadi-ien Bantul is based on the cultural values of krama language carried out during the implementation of the learning process in the classroom and in interactions outside the classroom in the school environment. The application of krama language aims to shape student behavior and participate in preserving the culture of krama language as is done in a pesantren environment. Second, the application of communication ethics using Javanese culture krama in Junior High School Islam Prestasi Al Mubtadi-ien Bantul is considered to have provided positive benefits and impacts for students. Third, from the perspective of Islamic education, the application of krama language culture in Junior High School Islam Prestasi Al Mubtadi-ien Bantul is very relevant. Islam is very concerned about the ethical issue of communication. Islam teaches the delivery of information messages to citizens using good language, friendly and polite.

This study aims to analyze and test empirically: the effect of costs and the school environment on the decision to choose a school through the school's image at Insan Cendekia Mandiri Junior High School, Sidoarjo. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of causality research. The population in this study were 295 parents of students, with a total sample of 75 people who were taken by accidental sampling. The data analysis technique was performed using inferential statistics consisting of path analysis, classical assumption test, model feasibility test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that first, school fees have a significant effect on the decision to choose a school at SMP Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sarirogo Sidoarjo. Second, the school environment has a significant effect on the decision to choose a school at Insan Cendekia Mandiri Middle School, Sidoarjo. Third, school fees have no significant effect on the decision to choose a school through the image of the school at Insan Cendekia Mandiri Junior High School, Sidoarjo. And fourth, the school environment has no significant effect on the decision to choose a school through the image of the school at Insan Cendekia Mandiri Junior High School, Sidoarjo.

Pembinaan dan pengembangan Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) merupakan salah satu upaya pemeliharaan dan peningkatan kesehatan yang ditujukan kepada peserta didik (usia sekolah), hal ini penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas fisik mereka. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber informasi penelitian ini adalah data primer berupa observasi lapangan, wawancara kepada informan atau narasumber yaitu guru pembina UKS, siswa anggota PMR dan siswa bukan anggota PMR serta warga sekolah, sedangkan untuk data sekunder berupa dokumen pedoman pelaksanaan UKS di sekolah. Penelitian ini berfokus pada TRIAS UKS yang meliputi pendidikan kesehatan, pelayanan kesehatan dan pembinaan lingkungan sekolah sehat. Hasil pelaksanaan promosi kesehatan di institusi pendidikan “SMP Negeri 1 Giri Banyuwangi Tahun 2018” pada aspek organisasi tim pembina dan tim pelaksana UKS didapatkan skor 50%, aspek pendidikan kesehatan didapatkan skor 56,8%, aspek pelayanan kesehatan didapatkan skor 38,6% sehingga ketiganya dalam kategori cukup, dan aspek pembinaan lingkungan sekolah sehat didapatkan skor 65% sehingga dalam kategori baik. Secara kumulatif pelaksanaan promosi kesehatan di institusi pendidikan “SMP Negeri 1 Giri Banyuwangi Tahun 2018” berada pada skor 54 %. Skor tersebut berada pada tingkatan kategori cukup. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan Trias UKS di SMP Negeri 1 Giri Banyuwangi belum sesuai dengan Pedoman Pelaksanaan UKS di Sekolah Tahun 2014. School Health Unit (UKS) is one of the efforts to maintain and improve the health goals of students (school age), this is important to improve their physical quality. This research method is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The source of information for this research is primary data in the form of field observations, interviews with informants or interviewees, which is the UKS’ supervisor teacher, students of PMR members and students who don't belong members of the PMR and school citizens, while for secondary data is the guidelines for implementing UKS in schools. This research focuses on TRIAS UKS which includes health education, health services and fostering a healthy school environment. The educational institution "1 Giri Junior High School, Banyuwangi in 2018" on the organizational aspects of the UKS training team obtained by a score of 50%, the aspects of health services obtained a score of 38.6% so that the three categories were insufficient category, and the aspect of fostering a healthy school environment got a score of 65% so that it was in the good category. The implementation of health promotion at the educational institution "1 Giri Junior High School, Banyuwangi in 2018" was at a score of 54%. The score is at the sufficient category level. This research report is the implementation of the Trias UKS in 1 Giri Junior High School, Banyuwangi not in accordance with the UKS Implementation Guidelines in 2014.

LEADERSHIP STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP) TEACHERS IN KARAWANG. Education at the secondary level is a first step in a journey of a protege life where this is a serious thing in a management of an educational institution at the junior level (SMP). Therefore an education at junior level requires a competitive leadership quality in being able to build a new strategy in improving teacher quality. If observed the quality of junior high school teachers in Karawang regency in particular requires a freshness in an education management process, where every educational institution requires a leader figure who can improve the teachers quality. Thus, a school leader must have a strategic in managing teachers and staff. So this study aims to determine the extent to which strategic management has been done in improving the quality of junior high school teachers in Karawang. Research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted on the leader in junior high school in Karawang regency, with research time from March to December 2015. While in the preparation of this study, the authors take field research where to obtain accurate and objective data, the researchers come directly to the location of research that is in Karawang regency.

Every educational institution would want a conducive and peaceful atmosphere in theschool environment within the scope of teaching and learning. This does not only apply to certainlevels, but almost at various levels of elementary, junior high school, high school and the like. But inthe school environment there is still intense conflict and violence, there are several types of conflictand violence in the educational environment which are examined using qualitative descriptive typeswith the theory of conflict and violence approach, including: Types without conflict, open conflict,surface conflict and conflict. The components of violence are structural violence and culturalviolence. Preventive action that should be done is first to socialize the type of punishment for theperpetrators of violence, secondly to design or implement a polite school system.

This articel aims to obtain data on non-cognitive assessment, the ability of teachers to make the rubric of non-cognitive assessment, constraints - any constraints faced by teachers in developing noncognitive instruments as well as any policy that will be done in overcoming the obstacles faced by social studies teacher in junior RSBI Padang Class VII Semester II.This type of research is descriptive research. Data obtained from document analysis, interviews and observation. Techniques of data analysis by using percentages. Data obtained from interviews with informants, the junior high school teachers who teach social studies classes RSBI VII, Chairman of the IPS MGMP Padang, three expert specialist and deputy head of the school curriculum areas.After data analysis performed, the results obtained that the number of teachers who have not done in developing and assessing the activities within the rubric of attitude assessment, student performance and products. Once analyzed by the expert assessment rubric attitude, and product performance in terms of science and the content is quite good and better in terms of the language section. Perceived obstacles to overcome problems that arise in the application of attitude assessment, and performance of the products most social studies teachers have tried various things such as: reading books / other resources relevant to teaching materials, training, seminars and follow MGMP forum, discuss in advance with Head of School before attending the training and talked about making attitude assessment rubrics, and product performance with peers.

The responsibility of Islamic education cannot be carried out unilaterally. Ki Hajar Dewantara stated that it requires the cooperation of three components which called as tripusat pendidikan education (center of three in education), they are families, educational institutions, and society. Those three components are one unit and complement each other. This is what happened at MTs Zainur Ridla (Islamic Junior High School Zainur Ridla) and MTs. Bustanul Ulum (Islamic Junior High School Bustanul Ulum), both of them are in Nonggunong District, Sumenep Regency. The findings in this research indicate that student’s guardians in MTs Zainur Ridla and MTs Bustanul Ulum Nonggunong have awareness about the responsibility of Islamic education. Second, all teacher councils in those two Islamic Junior High School stated that educating responsibility was on their control with habituation for their students in the form of reciting Shalawat Nariyah, reciting short surahs before the lesson began, praying before and after the lesson, shaking hands with teacher councils when coming and going home. Third, the participation of the society in realizing the responsibility of Islamic education through the media and the tradition of Kompolan. Fourth, the pattern of cooperation between madrasah (school) and student’s guardians in the form of: Home visits, inviting student’s guardians, forming madrasah supporting body, and report cards. While the pattern of cooperation between madrasah and society is their involvement in PHBI (Commemoration Islamic Feast Day) activities, their involvement in camp activities, their involvement in accepting new students, and their involvement in enforcing the discipline and regulations at madrasah.

Moral disengagement is a tendency to justify negative behaviour that is morally acceptable and minimizes the influence of others. It is supported by Bandura et al (2000) and Santrock (2003) who said that the teenagers have a tendency to not show their consistent behaviour in different moral situations. This research aimed to find out the influence of moral disengagement on classroom environment in junior high school. The research instruments used were a modified form of Moral Disengagement Instrument (MDI) and What is Happening in This Class? (WIHIC) Questionnaire. The research subject included 171 students of junior high school. The data analysis method used in testing hypothesis was regression analysis. Analysis of the data showed that there was a significant influence of moral disengagement on classroom environment in junior high school. The classroom environment was found to be influenced by moral disengagement .

This research was instigated by the problem in the field showing that their mathematic concept understanding ability was low at Islamic Junior High School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir. One of learning anternative strategy could direct to the students in increasing mathematic concept understanding ability was scoffolding learning straytegy. the research aimed at investigating whether there was or not difference mathematic concept understanding ability between students joining Scaffolding learning strategy and student joining teacher implementing based on their learning motivation at Islamic JuniorHigh School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir.  It was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Population of this research were the students at the eight grade of Islamic Junior High School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir. Sample of this research was used sampling purposive technique. VIII of B as experimental group was given Scaffolding learning strategy and VIII of A as the control group given teacher learning implementing.Instrument of collecting data was used decription test to measure their mathematic concept understanding and questionnaire to measure their learning motivation. Two way ANOVA was the technique of data analysis.  Based the data analysis could be concluded that         1) there was a difference student mathematic concept understanding ability joining Scaffolding learning strategy and did not joining Scaffolding learning Strategy. 2) There was no an interaction between Scaffolding learning strategy and their learning motivation toward their mathematic concept understanding abilityKeywords:  Scaffolding, Mathematic Concept Understanding Ability Student Learning, Motivation

Abstrak "Pendidikan adalah kesadaran untuk mengembangkan kepribadian dan kemampuan di dalam dan luar sekolah dan berlangsung seumur hidup", yang dilaksanakan di dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Suatu lembaga pendidikan pasti mengharapkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang mana dapat membantu terwujudnya tujuan nasional. Keterpaduan pendidikan baik keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam dunia pendidikan. Keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua, yang pertama dan utama dialami oleh anak dan lembaga pendidikan yang bersifat kodrat. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal hakekatnya merupakan lembaga yang mendapat kepercayaan dari orang tua untuk mendidik anak-anaknya dengan tanggung jawab yang terbatas, sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Orang tua khususnya ibu mempunyai andil keberhasilan anaknya. Ibu adalah pendidik pertama, utama dan kodrat. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan judul " Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di tinjau dari tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan kategori sarjana lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tingkat pendidikan SLTA/SMK dan SLTP dalam hal mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak Rumbai Kota Perkanbaru   Abstract Education is understanding to develop the personality and in and out of school and lasted for hidup' , which was carried out within the family , schools and the community .An institution must expect the achievement of the aims of education where it can help maintaining national goals .Both the integrated education , schools and community it is the success in education sector .The family was the oldest educational institutions , first and foremost for children and educational institution that is nature .Schools as formal educational institutions is a substance that was commissioned from parents to educate anak-anaknya with limited responsibility , in accordance with its function and purpose the educational institutions. Parents especially mother have a share the success of his son.Mother is educator first, main and partaking.
