The students of Primary Education Teachers Education of S1 in the Scool of Education, State University of Jakarta, found difficulties in understanding and implementing of assessment concept in the course of Instructional Evaluation Development. This classroom action research which was conducted in 2008, aimed at overcoming the difficulties by using mind mapping startegy. Involving 70 students of Primary Teachers Education in theShcool of Education of State University of Jakarta, the research employed developing and improving instructional quality method following the classroom action research model introduced by Standford and Kemmis. At the end of the research it wa sfound out there ia a significant improvement of the students’ understanding in the assessment concept.

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) upaya meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS menggunakan metode Scramble pada siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 1Poncowarno, Kebumen; dan (2) peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS menggunakan metode Scramble di kelas VII B SMP Negeri 1 Poncowarno, Kebumen. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) model Kemmis& Taggart yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan pengamatan, refleksi. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 1 Poncowarno, Kebumen yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: observasi, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif model Miles & Huberman untuk menganalisis data kulitatif dari observasi sedangkan data kuantitatif dari angket dan tes dianalisis dengan statistik diskriptif khususnya tendensi sentral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama: upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS dengan metode sramble dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran sebagai berikut: (a) menjelaskan tujuan dan materi pembelajaran, (b) membagikan lembar kerja yang di dalamnya sudah berisi scramble, (c) menampilkan slide yang berisi pertanyaan, (d) siswa menjawab pertanyaan, (e) mengoreksi jawaban antar teman sebangku, dan (f) memberikan penilaian dan memberikan reward kepada siswa yang memperoleh skor paling tinggi. Kedua: penggunaan metode Scramble dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar. Peningkatan motivasi dari pra siklus sebesar 76,49% meningkat pada siklus I sebesar 83,04% dan menjadi 91,16% pada siklus II. Hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dari pra Siklus rata-rata68,90 dengan ketuntasan sebesar 35%, meningkat menjadi 86,90dengan ketuntasan mencapai 89,29% pada siklus I dan 83,60 dengan ketuntasan 85,71% .Kata kunci: metode scramble, motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS

The obejectives of this research are to know the improvement  of the students’ achievement in poetry mastery and their perception regarding to the semiotic method in teaching and learning poetry in  English Education Department, Languages and Art Faculty of State University of Medan. The research method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the research are the fifth semester of 37 students of 2013/2014 academic year. The data are collected by test in order to know the students’ achievment in poetry mastery. The students’ perception toward the implementation of the semiotic method for teaching and learning poetry is collected by questionaire. The data are analyzed by descriptive analysis. The result of research shows that (1) the average score of the students’ achievement of poetry mastery is (71.75) or it increases (11,59) point from pre-test (60.16) and (2) in general, the students’ perception toward the semiotic method for teaching and learning poetry are good and positive.

Abstract: This study aims to describe application and improvement learning result of summarizing explanatory text use mind mapping by strengthening the character of responsibility. Type of research is classroom action research. By means 4 stages, they are, plan, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result showed an increase in the percentage of teacher activity from cycle I to cycle II which is 84 percent to 100 percent. Student activity also increased from 80 percent to 88 percent. Student learning result of knowledge aspect had increased from cycle I to cycle II with classical learning completeness from 78 percent to 88 percent. Student learning result of skill aspect had increased in cycle I to cycle II with classical learning completeness from 65 percent to 88 percent. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan dan peningkatan hasil belajar meringkas teks eksplanasi menggunakan model Mind Mapping dengan penguatan karakter tanggung jawab. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Melalui 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan presentase aktivitas guru dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 84 persen menjadi 100 persen. Aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari 80 persen menjadi 88 persen. Hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari 78 persen meningkat menjadi 88 persen. Hasil belajar siswa aspek keterampilan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I ke siklus II dengan ketuntasa belajar klasikal dari 65 persen meningkat menjadi 88 persen.

The aims of this research were to find whether Quantum Learning Method is effective inincreasing students’ understanding in learning poetry and how Quantum Learning Method affects thestudents’ understanding in learning poetry during the teaching and learning process. This researchapplied Classroom Action Research model, thus it used both quantitative and qualitative data. Thequantitative data were taken from the results of final test and the qualitative data were taken fromfield notes and observation sheet. Meanwhile, this study was conducted in one cycle only sincethe results from cycle one was successful. Therefore this study did not continue to the next cycle.The result from the final test showed that 100% of the students passed the test with the averagepoints of 15,05 (75,25). Thus, the use of instrumental music as one of the techniques of QuantumLearning Method helped the students to feel comfortable and relaxed during the activities in theclassroom. The selective instrumental music provided a supportive atmosphere for the students tofeel relaxed and comfortable while doing the learning activities; both reading and analyzing.Basedon the findings, it can be concluded that the use of Quantum Learning Method in learning poetry waseffective. Thus, because of its effectiveness in helping students to learn poetry, it is suggested to beused in the classroom.Keywords: Quantum Learning, Poetry, Classroom Action Research, music, instrumentalmusic.

This research applied Small Group Discussion learning model to improve the understanding of concept of KKNI 6th level students to match their expert field. The observations showed that the concept understanding of students was still low. This research was a classroom action research with Kemmis McTaggart cycle model. This classroom action research was conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. The subjects of the research were 2A class students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Program in Yogyakarta State University which amounted to 39 students. The data collecting technique in this research was test, while the data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative by finding mean then described. The result of the research showed that the concept understanding of the students in pre-action condition were 55,2 included in low category, then the average of students’ understanding concept increased in the first cycle with score 64,7. In cycle II, the students’ understanding concept increased significantly  with score 77,3. Based on the research, it  can be concluded that the SGD model can  improve the students' concept understanding.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peningkatan kualitas hasil belajar dan belajar menulis puisi pada siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 5 Banguntapan Bantul dengan menggunakan metode mind mapping. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Classroom Action Research dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, kuesioner, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif komparatif dan analisis kritis. Proses penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan empat tahap dalam setiap siklus. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) metode pemetaan pikiran dapat meningkatkan kualitas belajar menulis puisi. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan ke aktif, perhatian, konsentrasi, antusiasme, dan keseriusan siswa dalam belajar (2) dengan menggunakan metode mind mapping keterampilan menulis puisi siswa dapat ditingkatkan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata penulisan puisi siswa. Skor rata-rata siswa yang menulis puisi dalam pra-aksi adalah 15,04, dan tingkat kelengkapan klasik adalah 43%. Pada siklus pertama meningkat menjadi 19,14, dan kelengkapan klasik adalah 67,8%. Pada siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 20,54, dan 85,7% kelengkapan klasik.

AbstractThe objective of this research was to improve the eleventh graders’ recount text writing skill. To attain the objective a two-cycled classroom action research was conducted in SMA PSKD 7 Depok. The 28 students of the eleventh graders who participated in this research were taught recount text through mind mapping technique. The quantitative data, collected using tests, were analyzed by using statistical analysis technique. The qualitative data, collected using observation sheets and interview guide, were analyzed by using descriptive analysis technique. The results indicated that the mind mapping technique improved the eleventh graders’ recount text writing skill, as shown by the increase of the mean scores of the tests conducted, i.e. 52,61 (in the pretest) to 70.61 ( post-test of cycle 1) to 80.29 (post-test of cycle 2). Based on the findings, it could be concluded that through implementation of mind mapping technique, students’ recount text writing skill could improve. The research objective was to describe the application of the Mind Mapping model to improve students' creative thinking skills in Civics subjects at SMA Muhammadiyah Kalosi, Enrekang Regency. This type of research is a classroom action research using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the increase in students 'creative thinking skills was marked by the increase in the average score of students' creative thinking abilities, namely from Cycle I of 51.60% (sufficient category) to Cycle II to 70.65% (Good category). It can be concluded that the application of the Mind Mapping model can improve students' creative thinking skills in Civics subjects at SMA Muhammaduiyah Kalosi, Kabupaten Enrekang.

This study aims to implement contemporary Japanese literature learning with thematic designs as a learning strategy for 60 students in literary study classes (Poetry, Prose, and Drama) at Darma Persada University that were conducted online during the pandemic. This study was conducted using Kurt Lewin's Classroom Action Research model consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting; particularly for the observing section, the assessment was measured using two indicators based on students’ understanding of the material and satisfaction with online learning. Data was collected using questionnaires and filled out via google form. The findings of this study indicate the level of student understanding of the material, the constraints of online learning, and feedback from experts. The findings are useful for improving Japanese literature learning, to be more precisely during the online course
