<div><p><em>The present wave of Demonetization and Digital Payment System towards a Cashless Economy demands that our Commercial banks provide superior customer service as one of the biggest provider of banking and financial services in our urban and rural hinterland. Loyal customer base can only be created through delivering Customer Delight. But the crux of the matter is that to achieve better performance, the Indian banks, both private and public, need to provide Service Quality. Different authors in India have tried for introspection of the service quality through different constructs and dimensions in the banking sector in India. Here in this paper, we will try to investigate different works related to banking done in India, the different dimensions researched so far and the positive potential of Demonetization and Digital to make SERVQUAL Dimensions more effective towards delivering better customer satisfaction.</em></p></div>

This study focuses on the service quality and customer satisfaction among the private and public sector banks in India. Today customers are supposed to have awareness about the financial services provided by the banking sector. An attempt has therefore, been made in this paper to quantify the ‘awareness level’ of the customers and analyze the ‘service quality experience’ of the customers from their banks. The study has been carried out to compare the service quality experienced by customers of the public and private sector banks and to study the link between service quality and customer satisfaction. For that reason a well structured questionnaire was used to collect the views of customers on various service dimensions and the satisfaction of the customers regarding the services offered by the public and private sector banks. Various statistical tools like ANOVA, Factor Analysis and Multiple Regressions were used for analyzing the data collected on five service dimensions of SERVQUAL and satisfaction of customers. The results indicate that the private sector bank was better in terms of providing services and creating awareness about their products and services. The study also proves that an increase in service quality will most likely lead to customer satisfaction.

Banking sector and its performance play an important role in an economy. The current scenario of Indian banking sector is very dynamic and competitive. To maintain market share it is necessary for banking institutions to acquire large customer base. Customers today are very much aware about various financial services and institutions, moreover they are spoilt for choice. Therefore they can only be retained by providing quality services. The present study focuses on the service quality and customer satisfaction among private and public sector banks in India. It also attempts to compare service quality gaps between customer expectation and satisfaction regarding banking service. The outcome of the study shows that service gap is lower in private sector banks than public sector banks. Reliability and assurance are the dimensions where no significant difference has been observed between public and private sector banks.

Banking sector is growing rapidly and playing a vital role in the economic development of the nation. Both private and public sector banks are giving more priority to service quality to satisfy their customers. For this, banks are now emphasizing on E-CRM practices to carry out transactions and communicate with their customers. The purpose of this research is to assess the service quality among private and public banks in Rajasthan. Purposive sampling technique has been employed to collect the data from three private banks and three banks from public. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, Mean score method and t test have been used. Results indicates that there is a significant difference in consumer’s perception of service quality dimensions related to E-CRM practices provided by selected private and public sector banks of Rajasthan..The findings of this research will help policy makers of banking sector to set customer oriented policies.

Maintaining a strong and loyal customer base is the objective of every organisation. However, in reality this is difficult to achieve in the current competitive environment. When the widespread challenges of the business environment are taken into account, organisations cannot simply plan to absorb new customers but instead adopt the strategy of preserving existing customers and promoting their loyalty to the organisation. This study examined customer loyalty in the banking sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). A theoretical model was constructed through an extensive literature review and by extracting the most relevant and important variables for customer loyalty. A questionnaire was used to collect data from customers of different banks. Regression results showed that service quality significantly influences customer satisfaction and customer trust. Furthermore, customer satisfaction and trust significantly affect customer loyalty towards banks. In this respect, service quality is imperative to maintain customer loyalty through customer satisfaction and trust.

The purpose of the intended research involves determining bank adoption pattern of electronic media, factors constituting drivers and inhibitors for bank adoption, dimensionality of e-banking services quality as affected by IT, and customer adoption of such services. The study has also highlighted the determinants of service quality are directly influenced by IT and to explore what are the enabling and retarding factors for effective implementation and upsurge of IT system in banks.</em></p></div>

This study applies SERVQUAL analysis to measure the service quality offered by Indian banking sector in the Indian state of Rajasthan. This study was performed 5 years after the launch of national mission for financial inclusion by Indian government. Both the public and private sector banks were incorporated in the study. Respondents are mostly from the urban background spread over various cities in Rajasthan. The dimensions studied are tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The average SERVQUAL score was found to be -0.189 and the results reveal about 95.22% customers’ expectations were met. The empathy factor satisfying customers’ expectations (99.28%) shows the tremendous quality of personal handling in Indian banks service sector, while the lowest score on the reliability factor (89.63%) gives an idea of customer’s concerns regarding reliability of services in Indian banking sector. Overall, the present study finds that Indian urban banks average performance vis-à-vis the five service quality dimensions is quite satisfactory

<p>fice were (1) To identify the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty; (2) To analyze the relationship strength between service quality and customer loyalty; (3) Assessing the service quality level by Depok City Post Office. The data collecting were primary and secondary data. Convenience sampling was chosen as sampling technique. The research analyze by descriptive analysis, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Range and Rank Spearman correlation test, and processed by Microsoft Excel 2007 and Software SPSS 17.0 version for Windows. The study by IPA showed the attribute spread out around all quadrant with the majority attributes placed on quadrant III, however the study will be focused on attributes placed Quadrant I: completly of information media, quick service and complaint service, which are the main important factors to improve. The research finding was proven the customer is categorize as loyal customer. The analysis of work attributes level showed reliability has no relation with loyality. The Relationship between Good Quality of Customer Service and Customer Packaging Delivery Service Loyalty in Depok City Post Office is strong showed by r = 0,277.</p>

The banking sector had become industrial which keeps growing. Competition requires each bank competing to attract many customers in many ways both in terms of products, technologies, and services. Marketing Research Indonesia (MRI) performs measurements of the services quality of the banking. X Bank occupies the fifth position in terms of service quality. X Bank need to do repair service constantly to improve customer loyalty. The method used was servqual consisting of five dimensions. Based on gap between perception and expectations known priority on X Bank. Repair service with the main priority is customer service quickly. A long customer service cause long queue at customer service and teller. Typically, most clients come at the beginning of the month. However, a large number of customer that are not anticipated by the number of teller and customer service. Customer satisfaction level of this attribute only 68,09%. That means the banks need to make improvements such as by adding the number of teller and customer service at a particular time and organizing shift work teller and customer service more effectively.Keywords : service quality, gap, Marketing Research Indonesia.

The recently developed theory called Theory of Accountability (Theory A) for organizations of 21st century identifies the various factors which affect the organizational human resources performance. The essential components identified to improve the productivity of any organization based on the postulates of Theory A are (1) Planning, (2) Target setting, (3) Motivation, (4) Work Strategies, (5) Responsibility, (6) Role model, (7) Monitoring & Guiding, and (8) Accountability. The objective of this paper is to apply the components of Theory A to Indian Banking system and to study how to improve the productivity of the banking system for economic progress in India. Accordingly we analysed the business model and the organizational strategy of Indian Banks in terms of their business objectives, service planning, target setting for the employees, employee motivational factors, working strategies to improve productivity, selfand mutual responsibilities among individual employees and in their teams, concept of role model in banking service innovation, continuous monitoring and guiding strategies, and finally accountability of each and every employee at different organizational levels. The applicability of Theory A on both private and public sector banks are discussed in general and suitable suggestions are proposed to the banking sector to improve productivity based on the postulates of Theory A.
