Walking is said to increase endurance, burn calories and improve cardiovascular health. To monitor the steps when walking, we need a tool that is a gyroscope sensor MPU6050. Making this tool uses a gyroscope sensor for monitoring footsteps because Gyroscope is used to measure or determine the orientation of an object based on the provisions of angular momentum. This tool has been tested by foot with a number of different steps. The device test carried out by one person testers.Data obtained from these tests resulting from the detection lower limit value and upper limit value of X axis angle data is used in data processing is the value of the X-axis is converted into a sine wave form chart. To detect footsteps, each wave has the upper value limit is 20o and the bottom value is -20o. Once the step is detected, these measures will be multiplied by the width of the foot when walking, then obtained distance

1. There is evidence that web-spinning spiders discriminate between prey and artifacts in their webs, and that the signal involved is a mechanical one. As a contribution to our understanding of the basis of this discrimination, an analysis has been made of the natural signal generated by an insect in the web of the British house spider Tegenaria atrica. 2. The signal investigated was frequency-limited to 1 kc./sec, this being the upper limit of the linear response of the specially designed transducer. 3. The signal has an irregular wave-form with most of the energy lying below 50 cyc./sec. Damped transverse and rotational oscillations of the mass of the spider in the compliance of the web have been recognized. In addition there are ‘fast transients’, most likely due to the sudden release of tension in the web by slight movements of the insect. 4. The possibility that the fast transients form the basis of prey-recognition is being investigated.

While an object is moving in depth, its retinal disparity and size are cooperatively changing along the viewing distance. We examined the effect of a cooperative relation between the two cues for the perception of motion in depth—changes in disparity and size—with the Wheatstone stereoscopic display. In experiment 1, we used a stereoscopic stimulus whose disparity and size were independently modulated with sine-wave form, but at different frequencies (0.7 Hz vs 0.8 Hz, and vice versa). So, the cooperative and the uncooperative phases between the two cues repeatedly followed each other. The subjects continuously pushed a response key when the stimulus was clearly perceived to be moving in depth. In general, the impression of motion in depth was clear when the two cues were simultaneously modulated in similar phase, but not in different phase. In experiment 2, we measured the perceived distance of a stimulus that is moving in depth, when the two cues were moderated in the same phase and in counterphases. The perceived distance was increased when the two cues moved in the same phase. We found that not only the effect of each cue, but also the effect of the cooperative change of the two cues was affecting the perception of motion in depth. These results suggest that the cooperative interaction of two cues, that is their relative phase, is important for the perception of motion in depth.

The Waldmann-Vestner theory for boundary layer effects in polyatomic gases in the nearhydrodynamic regime predicts that in a rarefield heat conducting gas the boundary layers will be birefringent due to the presence of second rank angular momentum polarization. An experiment has been set up in order to measure the birefringence as a function of the distance to the boundary. However, no effect could be detected for N2 and C02 within the sensitivity of the experiment. This corresponds to an upper limit for the birefringence, which is a factor 6 smaller than expected. These results are in contrast to the qualitative data reported earlier in the literature; no conclusions can be drawn, however, about the validity of the Waldmann-Vestner theory.

The experiment on searching for η-mesic 3He nucleus was performed in May 2014 at COSY accelerator in Juelich by WASA-at-COSY Collaboration. The measurements were carried out using ramped beam technique which allows for the slow and continuous beam momentum change near the threshold of η meson creation. The luminosity was obtained based on pd → 3Heη reaction and quasielastic proton-proton scattering. The bound state of η-meson and 3He nucleus is searched for in pd → 3He2γ and pd → 3He6γ channels. The analysis is still in progress and the estimated upper limit value is on the level of few nanobarns.

1. A method is described for measuring the relative impedance of living cells to diathermy currents. 2. The diathermy current penetrates the living cell, and heat production is intracellular as well as extracellular. 3. A small proportion of the impedance of living cells to the diathermy current seems not to lead to the production of heat. 4. Evidence is given that the addition of saponin produces an appreciable increase in the conductivity of an electrolyte. Its use is therefore contraindicated when electrical measurements are being made on biological material. 5. The currents used in diathermy behave as do high frequency currents of the pure sine wave form in respect to their passage through biological material.

Objective: Increased T wave peak and end distance (Tpe interval) shows abnormal spread in ventricular repolarization, it is associated with increased risk of ventricular arrhythmia and poor prognosis. However, Tpe interval, corrected Tpe (Tpe-c) upper limit value, and normal reference interval have not been reported in healthy population. In our study, it was aimed to determine the normal reference range of Tpe and Tpe-c interval in healthy population. Materials and Methods: 414 healthcare professionals who had no complaints were included in the study. Tpe and Tpe-c measurements of all patients were performed on 12-lead electrocardiography taken at rest. Average and standard deviation, median, minimum, maximum, 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) values of these parameters were obtained. Results: According to the data obtained in our study; Tpe mean and standard deviation, median, minimum, and maximum values were found to be 70.3 ± 12.3 ms, 70 ms, 50 ms and 100 ms, respectively. The 95% CI value of the Tpe interval was detected as 50-90 ms. Tpe-c mean and standard deviation, median, minimum, and maximum values were found to be 76.1 ± 14.6 ms, 75 ms, 48 ms and 128 ms, respectively. The 95% CI of the Tpe-c interval was detected as 53-100 ms. It was determined that Tpe and Tpe-c intervals were not affected by demographic and clinical parameters. Conclusion: As a result of our study, it was determined that the upper limit of Tpe and Tpe-c interval values in adult, not-elderly and healthy normal population were 90 ms and 100 ms, respectively. It was thought that this information could be used for prolonged Tpe interval, which shows an increased risk of arrhythmia in daily practice. However, it was concluded that studies should be done in other communities and races on this subject as well.

Abstract The Mg-RE alloys are attractive, constructional materials, especially for aircraft and automotive industry, thanks to combination of low density, good mechanical properties, also at elevated temperature, and good castability and machinability. Present paper contains results of fatigue resistance test carried out on Elektron 21 magnesium alloy, followed by microstructural and fractographical investigation of material after test. The as-cast material has been heat treated according to two different procedures. The fatigue resistance test has been conducted with 106 cycles of uniaxial, sine wave form stress between 9 MPa and 90 MPa. Fractures of specimens, which ruptured during the test, have been investigated with scanning electron microscope. The microstructure of specimens has been investigated with light microscopy. Detrimental effect of casting defects, as inclusions and porosity, on fatigue resistance has been proved. Also the influence of heat treatment's parameters has been described.

Determination of estimated project completion is an activity that influenced the planning project since it can decide the success or failure of the project. However, duration is often not in accordance with prediction caused by uncertainty of the project. Calculation by probabilistic method is rated better than deterministic since probabilistic includes the uncertainty factor in its calculation. In addition, probabilistic method provides results in the form of intervals in upper to lower limit. In predicting project's final duration, the time-based Earned Schedule (ES) method is rated capable of overcoming the lack of cost-based Earned Value (EV). This research aims to determine the ongoing project’s upper and lower limit prediction duration using ES method through validation towards the completed project’s real duration. The average prediction of ongoing project duration will be calculated using ES by Microsoft Excel. The results will be validated towards the average real project duration using hypothesis tests of two independent population means. Result of average of upper limits indicates a valid value while the average of lower limits indicates a non-valid value with the upper limit value is 0.0025 week/m2 and lower limit is 0.0020 week/m2.Keywords: duration estimation; probabilistic; Earned Schedule; validation; upper limit and lower limit.

For test operations according to the liquid dielectric breakdown voltage measurement method we use high voltage machines that consist of high-voltage step-up transformer, voltage rise block, test cell with electrodes and so on. Described dielectric oil's test machine UIM – 90 with electromechanical voltage rise block. Cause of hard requirements in specification documents about voltage sine wave form on cell's electrodes, we performed field tests for UIM – 90 that help to evaluate the mains voltage impact on the test voltage distortion and measurement accuracy. Was discovered that during usage of electromechanical voltage rise block voltage steps disrupt sine wave’s form proportionally to step-up transformer’s transformation coefficient. Performed analysis of this block’s construction and established that usage of ЛАТР and mechanical voltage controller could lead to additional sine’s wave disruption. Decided to develop electronic voltage rise block which will allow to get rid of mains influence on test data. Created the algorithm of wave shaping from microcontroller, which generates voltage ramp to the amplifier representing pulse width modulator, then to the step-up transformers cascade. Proposed to use additional transformer for level matching of amplifier’s output voltage and main high voltage transformer’s input voltage. Presented flow sheet for UIM – 90 with electronic voltage step-up block and cascading start ofstep-up transformers. Provided voltage oscillograph trace and it spectrograph on the main transformer’s primary side, received due to the implementation of developed electronic voltage step-up block, prove that voltage sine wave form  doesn’t rely on mains quality. After upgraded UIM – 90 and it world analogues technical parameters analysis we could make a conclusion about it competitive capability on global level.
