COVID-19 disease, which spread rapidly all over the world after the first case was detected, became the primary agenda of the countries. Radical measures have been taken by governments to prevent the spread of the disease. Precautions and warnings to prevent disease caused some changes on daily life activities of people. University students who have to stop education are among the groups most affected by this disease sociologically, psychologically and physiologically. The aim of this study was planned and conducted to determine the effect of COVID-19 on university students' eating habits and food purchasing behavior. The study was completed with 866 university students education and training at the faculty of health sciences. Research data was obtained by online questionnaire. This questionnaire has been prepared with the information obtained as a result of the literature review and the opinions of experts by researchers. The questionnaire includes questions about eating habits and food purchasing behaviors. A result of the study, COVID-19 disease caused significant changes in the eating habits and food purchasing behaviors of university students. In general, it was found that the participants increased their consumption compared to before COVID-19, they paid more attention to hygiene while food purchasing.

Due to the highly infectious virus known as COVID-19 impacting the lives of the populace, more than any other event in recent memory, there is a pandemic in the world. In order to determine food purchasing behavior and eating habits, food preservation techniques and source of knowledge about COVID-19, 992 consumers living in İstanbul, the most populous city in Turkey, were surveyed. The questionnaire was disseminated to participants via an online platform. Thirty questions, including the demographics of participants, changes in purchasing behavior, knowledge, and attitudes about food preservation techniques, changes in eating habits, and source of knowledge about COVID-19, were asked. The results of this study surveyed that COVID-19 has changed food purchasing and eating habits of Turkish consumers significantly (p < 0.05). During the survey in late March of 2020 and late December of 2020, about 65% of respondents have tried to consume more food that boost the immune system and 58% of the respondents have been more willing to buy fresh products. Consumers have greatly adopted preserving of food stuffs by freezing during quarantine days. This survey revealed that the effective use of media tools could increase awareness and lead to behavioral changes that can reduce the spread of COVID-19, especially in con-sumers aged over 65 years.

Entrepreneurship contributes to economic development in any country and can be linked to economic growth. The increasing number of young entrepreneurs is needed to support the growth of the world economy. Universities realize the importance of developing students' entrepreneurial potential. This study aims to determine the effect of self-concept of the potential college student entrepreneurship. This research is a quantitative study. The formulation of the problem is whether self-concept influences the entrepreneurial potential of students. The research subjects were students of the Akademi Kesejahteraan Sosial (AKK) with majors in culinary, fashion and cosmetology. In achieving its objectives, an online questionnaire was given to 60 students. The data collected is analyzed in simple regression model. Data were analyzed with SPSS 16 version. The results showed that self-concept has a positive and significant impact on the potential of entrepreneurship. The academy can strengthen students' self-concept by instilling entrepreneurial values and training to form a good self-concept.

One of the most quoted statements in sports literature was uttered during the 1995 Rugby World Cup in Johannesburg in which Nelson Mandela said, and I quote “Sport has the power to change the world, “It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair. It is more powerful than government in breaking down racial barriers”. Every athlete wants to make a contribution to this and they have to put their lives on hold just for the nation. They sacrifice their relationships, friendships, and life in general just so other people can smile. Now there is COVID and athletes have been home. The emotional rollercoaster is real. The constant influx of information, changes to daily routines, uncertainty with personal health and the health of others coupled with rapidly changing reports, ischaracteristic of the ups and downs of a rollercoaster. All of which is physically and emotionally draining. Some studies have reported certain common feelings among athletes as follows: fear, anxiety, loss, relief, confusion, disappointment, exhaustion,frustration, and anger. Mandates to stay home and socially distance may cause you to feel physically alone. However, this has made several athletes feel like they are on an emotionalisland. There are understandable uncertainties and anxieties about when qualifiers will be held, how to maintain fitness and training, and whether the Olympic/Paralympic Games will occur or not. For some, this comes with permanent changes such as unwanted and unplanned pregnancies among female athletes, substance abuse, and overweight. This can never be clearly explained unless you are experiencing it.In Zambia, the year 2020 was as tormenting as it can get, from experiencing the hitherto unexplained gassing of citizens incidences with some dangerous chemicals to the realization of a COVID-19 outbreak and report of first case in March of 2020. Now every journal, media house and story teller has reported how it is no longer a hyperbole to claim that this new virus has left no life, sector or industry unaffected. In the first few months of the pandemic, the world had focused mainly on the effects of COVID-19 on the larger public and businesses, with concerns for athletes’ wellbeing hardly hitting the limelight.

Introduction:  It is seen that scientific studies have been carried out in recent years across the world and in Turkey. Besides, non-governmental organizations have also been working hard on this issue. There are increasing efforts in public in order to develop and improve human rights, as well. University students are also among those who desire to work for the development and improvement of human rights. This study therefore intends to discover the views and attitudes related to human rights among university students.      Method: A qualitative research method was selected for the study. Open-ended questions related to human rights were prepared by the researcher. The questions were sent to three academics specialized in this field and their opinions were collected. Only those who volunteered were included in the study. The research data was analysed by the researcher using content analysis method. The study was carried out in Ankara in 2005. A total of 11 university students – 5 female and 6 male – participated in the study. The age of the participants ranged between 21 and 23 years.Results: The results revealed that participants have knowledge, awareness and sensitivity regarding human rights. They reported that they know about the human rights work going on around the world and in Turkey, the issues of murder of women and child brides should especially be addressed, the human rights work carried out in Turkey is not adequate and it should involve everyone and emotional violence occurs very often as a violation of human rights.    Extended English abstract is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file. ÖzetGiriş: Son yıllarda Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de insan hakları ile ilgili bilimsel çalışmaların yapıldığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca sivil toplum kuruluşları da çalışmalarını bu konuda yoğunlaştırmaktadır. İnsan haklarının geliştirilmesi ve iyileştirilmesine ilişkin de halk arasında eylemler artmaktadır. İnsan haklarının geliştirilmesi ve iyileştirilmesine ilişkin talepte bulunan bir kesim de üniversite öğrencileridir. Yapılan bu çalışma ile üniversite öğrencilerinin insan haklarına ilişkin görüşleri, duygu ve düşünceleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.Yöntem: Yapılan bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından insan haklarına yönelik açık uçlu sorular hazırlanmıştır. Sorular alanda uzman olan üç öğretim elemanına gönderilerek görüşleri alınarak uygulanmıştır. Araştırmaya yalnızca gönüllü olan katılımcılar alınmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler, araştırmacı tarafından içerik analizine tabi tutularak incelenmiştir. Araştırma 2015 yılında, Ankara’da yapılmıştır. 5 kız, 6 erkek toplam 11 üniversite öğrencisi ile araştırma yapılmıştır. Yaşları 21 ile 23 arasında değişmektedir.Sonuçlar: Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler incelendiğinde katılımcıların insan haklarına ilişkin bilgilerinin, farkındalıklarının ve duyarlılıklarının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de yapılan çalışmalara ilişkin bilgilerinin olduğu, Türkiye’de kadın cinayetleri ve çocuk gelinler konularında özellikle durulması gerektiği, Türkiye’de insan hakları ile ilgili çalışmaların yeterli olmadığı, insan hakları çalışmalarının herkesi kapsaması gerektiği, insan hakları konusunda duygusal şiddetin sıklıkla görüldüğünü belirttikleri görülmüştür.

Objective: The aim of this article was to find whether the global COVID-19 pandemic could affect eating habits in the form of breakfast as the first meal of the day, and whether due to the global COVID-19 pandemic there was achange in body weight in selected university students studying in the Czech Republic. Design:Structured anonymous online questionnaire survey Participans:Atotal of 628 university students studying in the Czech Republic (68.95% women; 31.05% men) mostly aged 20 to 29 (63.38%) Methods:Mathematical-statistical methods were used to ver- ify the established research questions, namely Pearson's chi- square test and to investigate the strength of the dependence - Cramer's V. Results and Conclusion:There is arelationship between reg- ular eating habits in the form of breakfast as the first morning meal of aday, before and during COVID-19 and gender and also the biological age of respondents. Furthermore, it was found that there is astatistically significant relationship be- tween the change in body weight during COVID-19 and gen- der, as well as the biological age of the respondents.

The paper aims at investigating what the fundamental characteristics of a trainee of the Courses of Studies in Education and Training Sciences of the University of Rome La Sapienza are, as identified by the company tutors who evaluate them during the traineeship. The aim is to understand whether trainees are trained to act in educational settings. The analysis of a particular item of the questionnaire addressed to the company tutors, has shown that the trainees in the educational field are well integrated in the institution where they do the treaineeship, thanks to the possession of “key skills” that we have deduced from the open responses of the tutors. These skills are also among the most requested ones by the world of work. We conclude that the traineeship is an important formative moment for the professions in the educational field and that it is possible to grasp the necessary link between theory and practice.

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is the entity regulating the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Dubai, ensuring high quality and safe healthcare services delivery to the population. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic on the 11th of March 2020, indicating to the world that further infection spread is very likely, and alerting countries that they should be ready for possible widespread community transmission. The first case of COVID-19 in the United Arab Emirates was confirmed on 29th of January 2020; since then, the number of cases has continued to grow exponentially. As of 8th of July 2020 (end of the day), 53,045 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed with a death toll of 327 cases. The UAE has conducted over 3,720,000 COVID-19 tests among UAE citizens and residents over the past four months, in line with the government’s plans to strengthen virus screening to contain the spread of COVID-19. There were vital UAE policies, laws, regulations, and decrees that have been announced for immediate implementation to limit the spread of COVID- 19, to prevent panic and to ensure the overall food, nutrition, and well-being are provided. The UAE is amongst the World’s Top 10 for COVID-19 Treatment Efficiency and in the World’s Top 20 for the implementation of COVID-19 Safety measures. The UAE’s mission is to work towards resuming life after COVID-19 and enter into the recovery phases. This policy research paper will discuss the Dubai Health Authority’s rapid response initiatives towards combating the control and spread of COVID-19 and future policy implications and recommendations. The underlying factors and policy options will be discussed in terms of governance, finance, and delivery.

1989 göçü öncesi, dünyada eşzamanlı olarak gittikçe gelişen ve zenginleşen mutfak kültürü, Bulgaristan Türklerini de etkilemiştir. Pazardaki çeşitlilik arttıkça, yemek alışkanlıkları da değişime uğramıştır. Büyük göçten sadece 30-40 sene evvel kısıtlı imkânlar ile sınırlı sayıda yemek çeşidi üretilirken, alım gücünün artmasıyla yemek kültüründe de hızlı gelişmeler olmuştur. Artan ürün çeşitliliği yemeklere de yansımış, farklı lezzetler mutfaklara girmiştir. Göçmen yemekleri denilince hamur işleri, börek ve pideler akla gelir. Ayrıca, göçmenlerin çok zengin turşu, komposto ve konserve kültürüne sahip oldukları da bilinir. Bu çalışma, 1989 öncesi Bulgaristan’ın farklı bölgelerinde yaşayan Türklerin yemek alışkanlıklarına ışık tutmakla birlikte, göç sonrasında göçmen mutfak kültüründe bir değişiklik oluşup oluşmadığını konu almaktadır. Bu amaçla, 1989 yılında Türkiye’ye göç etmiş 50 kişiye 8 sorudan oluşan anket düzenlenmiştir. Bu verilerden yola çıkarak oluşan bulgular derlenmiş ve yeni tespitler yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerine yerleşen göçmenler, kendi göçmen pazarlarını kurmuşlardır. Bulgaristan’dan getirilen ürünlerin bu pazarlarda satılması böyle bir arz talebin hala devam ettiğine işaret etmektedir.ABSTRACT IN ENGLISHThe Diversity in Cuisine Culture of the Immigrants from Bulgaria After 1989 MigrationThe Cuisine culture that has been developing and getting rich day by day contemporaneously in the world before 1989 migration has also had an impact on Bulgarian Turks. By the increase in diversity in the market, eating habits have changed. While producing a limited number of food types with limited opportunities just some 30 or 40 years before the ‘Big Migration’, there has been a rapid progress in food culture by the help of the increase in purchase power. Enhancing product range has been reflected in food, and different tastes have entered the cuisines. When we say immigrant, the first things that come to our mind are pastry, flan and pitta bread. Moreover, it is also known that immigrants have a very rich cuisine culture of pickle, stewed fruit, and canned food. This study aims both to disclose the eating habits of Turks living in different regions of Bulgaria before 1989 and to determine whether there has been a difference in immigrant cuisine culture before and after the migration. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 8 questions has been administered to 50 people who migrated to Turkey in 1989. The results gathered from these data have been compiled and new determinations have been made. In addition, immigrants that settled in different regions of Turkey have set their own immigrant markets. The fact that the products brought from Bulgaria are being sold in these markets shows that this kind of supply and demand still continues.

Background: According to the WHO report, around 4.07% of the world's population is visually impaired. About 90% of the visually impaired users live in the lower economic strata. In the fast moving technology, most of the invention misses the need of these people. Mainly the technologies were designed for mainstream people; visually impaired people always find an inability to access it. This inability arises primarily for reasons such as cost, for example, Perkins Brailler costs 80-248 dollars for the simple purpose of Braille input. Another major reason is the hassle of carrying the big equipment. Objective: Keeping all this in mind and making technology as their best friends, MAGIC-1 has been designed. The goal is to provide a solution in terms of an application, which helps the visually impaired user in their daily life activities. Method: The proposed solution assists visually impaired users through smart phone technology. If visually impaired users ever wished to have a touched guide into a smart phone, MAGIC-1 has the solution that consolidates all the important features in their daily activities. Results: The performance of the solution as a whole and its individual features in terms of usability, utility and other metrics, etc. has been tested with sample visually impaired users. Moreover, their performances in term of Errors per Word and Words per Minute have been observed. Conclusion: MAGIC-I, the proposed solution works as an assistant of visually impaired users to overcome their daily struggles and stay more connected to the world. A visually impaired user can communicate via their mobile devices with features like eyes free texting using braille, voice calling etc. They can easily take help in an emergency situation with the options of SOS emergency calling and video assistance.
