Abstract Introduction: Destructive behavior is considered a chronic, deep-rooted problem in the profession of nursing. Academic articles addressing the issue have existed in literature for the past three decades. Destructive behavior costs healthcare institutions in terms of funds, and it has unpleasant impacts such as escalating absenteeism, reduced productivity, and reduced quality of care for the patients. Finding ways to eliminate such behavior requires a perception and full recognition of the factors that cause and promote it. Since destructive behavior is a complex, multi-dimensional concept that is dependent on context and the culture of the particular organization or society, this research concentrates on the factors shaping such behavior and promoting it in Iranian healthcare institutions.Material and Methods: The present study makes use of the conventional content analysis method to explore the views and experiences of nurses and other healthcare workers by interviewing 30 individuals and one focus group and recording 120 hours of observation in 6 hospitals around the capital city of Tehran comprising 2 private facilities and 4 state hospitals. The interviews were all recorded, transcribed and analyzed.Results: Through data analysis 26 subcategories and 5 main categories of underlying causes, namely, inappropriate organizational mindset, ineffectual management, complex conditions of work in the nursing occupation, unprofessional standards of education and training for nurses, and personal contributions were identified.Conclusion: The present study demonstrates that the main factors promoting destructive behavior in Iranian healthcare organizations are the organizations themselves. To solve the problem of destructive behaviors organizational problems such as ineffectual management, shortage of facilities and infrastructures, a chronic human resource shortage, institutionalized injustice stemming from a state of physicians’ oligarchy, favoritism as a cultural trait, and systematic bullying must first be tackled.

TThe distribution of the limited financial resources in the state hospitals in Kyrgyzstan is uneven. The problems associated with the current method of distribution of resources: the poor quality of services at the level of polyclinics and high hospitalization rates that require an evaluation of the budget allocation of healthcare organizations operating in the Single Payer system. In order to improve the efficiency of resource use it is suggested to review the principles of allocation of resources to the primary level of patient care.

Healthcare organizations are commonly known to be high-stress environments due to the life-or-death nature of the work. Thus, examining the quality of life in healthcare professionals is of significance to the field. Quality of life is a common measurement in healthcare, typically in determining the effectiveness of treatment on patients. But, quality of life in healthcare workers is often overlooked. A review of the literature was conducted regarding factors that impact quality of life of workers in healthcare environments. The areas of occupational stress, burnout, and workplace violence were explored in depth in order to understand the potential negative consequences of each on quality of life in healthcare professionals. In comparison to other industries, healthcare professionals are at an increased risk for occupational stress, burnout, and workplace violence. Effectively managing these areas could have a positive impact on quality of life in healthcare workers.

The performance evaluation process is used to conduct an objective assessment of the performance and the effectiveness of the employees, the compliance with the organizational values and hierarchy and the achevement of the standards of the organization. The employee performance evaluation is an exceptionally important segment in healthcare organizations. The managers (directors) of the healthcare organizations have to recognize the employees that efficiently complete their tasks, detect the need and the type of training necessary to improve their performance and adequately reward the most prominent employees. Taking into account the relevance of the topic, the subject of research in this papers is precisely the analysis of the performance appraisal of the employees, as a process that should help obtaining a clear picture of how successfully the tasks of a given position are performed and how much they contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the organization. Hence arisesthe problem of this research, which is the absence of a quality system for evaluation and assessment of the performance of the healthcare workers. Two research goals have been pursued, both scientific and practical. The scientific goal of the research is to provide quality performance evaluation of the healthcare workers, which leads to faster development of the organization and sustainable efficiency of the market, whereas the practical goal of the research is to utilize the obtained results in the creation of an efficient system for evaluating the performance of the healthcare workers who will integrate the quality work standards, thereby improving the motivation and the quality of work. The relevance of the topic will be explored and proven by defining a hypothesis that reads: If a health care organization adopts a quality system for evaluating the work of its healthcare workers, then the healthcare employees will strengthen their skills which will lead to increased motivation and work quality. To prove the hypothesis, an empirical research was conducted using a standardized instrument, i.e. a questionnaire containing 10 statements and a Likert scale: strongly agree, partly agree and disagree. The questionnaires contained closed-ended questions whereby the respondents could choose one of the answers offered. The survey was conducted in 2 private healthcare organizations in December 2017. The representative sample includes 73 doctors and 27 nurses/orderlies. In the process of analyzing the findings of the research, a deductive method, comparison method and a method of objectivity and relevance were applied. In the conclusion of the papers, on the basis of the obtained results, guidelines will be proposed for improvement and implementation of a quality performance evaluation system in the private and public health care.

Job satisfaction is vitally necessary in the daily life of the workforce, and the essential elements, materials and mechanism that drives job satisfaction demand great attention. At present, the situation of healthcare workers in the employment of Ogun State Hospitals Management Board, Nigeria, seems to be less satisfied with the policies of the healthcare institutions. The study examined job satisfaction and the quality of healthcare delivery in Ogun State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) in Nigeria. This study adopted a cross-sectional design method and was conducted among the healthcare professionals in the study area. A total of 729 copies of a well-structured questionnaire were administered using a multi-staged sampling technique to obtain information from all the available healthcare professionals in the study area. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics. Findings of this study revealed that 12.5 % of healthcare professionals in Ogun State Hospitals strongly agreed, 21.9% moderately, and 32% slightly agreed with the level of satisfaction of the leadership and management styles. 25.7% of the healthcare professionals disagreed (7.4% strongly, 4.0% moderately and 14.3% slightly) that they would recommend employment in the study area. The results further revealed that 47.9% of healthcare workers had a low level of job satisfaction that could lead to many factors. In addendum, 43.6% of the respondents believed that the healthcare delivery was not low but with moderate quality. The study concluded that majority of the healthcare workers had low level of job satisfaction. The quality of healthcare delivery is of medium quality. Finally, this study recommends that there should be an establishment of health and life insurance for health workers; improved health infrastructures; conducive work environment and working conditions; job security; regular and continuous training of healthcare professionals; and attractive rewards and compensation.

BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns for controlling the spread of the infection have led to a surge in telehealth adoption by many healthcare organizations. It is unclear how this pandemic has impacted health professionals’ view about telehealth. The analysis of textual data such as comments posted on a discussion forum can uncover information that may not be captured by a structured survey. OBJECTIVE To examine the opinions of healthcare workers about telehealth services during the timeframe of March 2013 through December 2020. METHODS Comments about telehealth posted by healthcare workers from at least 46 countries were collected from an online discussion forum dedicated to health professionals. The analysis included the computation of sentiment scores from the textual data and the use of structural topic modeling to identify the topics of discussions as well as the factors that may be associated with the prevalence of these topics. RESULTS The analysis of the comments revealed positive opinions about the perceived benefits of telehealth services before and during the pandemic, especially the ability to reach patients who cannot come to the health facility for diverse reasons. However, opinions about these benefits were less positive during the pandemic compared to the pre-pandemic period Specific issues raised during the pandemic included technical difficulties encountered during telehealth sessions and the inability to perform certain care routines through telehealth platforms. While comments on the quality of care provided through telehealth were associated with a negative sentiment score overall, the average score was less negative during the pandemic compared to the pre-pandemic period, signaling a shift in opinion on the quality of telehealth services. Also, the analysis uncovered obstacles to the adoption of telehealth, including the absence of adequate legal dispositions for telehealth services and issues regarding the payment of these services by health insurance organizations. CONCLUSIONS : Enhancing the adoption of telehealth services beyond the pandemic requires addressing issues related to the quality of care, payment of services, and legal dispositions for delivering these services. In construction production, the safety of constructing buildings and structures is achieved by ensuring the required quality as a result of systematic construction control based on the implementation of a complex of technical, economic and organizational measures at all stages of the object's life cycle. The article deals with the actual problem of improving the quality of construction products-buildings and structures in conjunction with the activities of construction control bodies. The article presents the advanced foreign and domestic experience of ensuring the quality control at the construction sites, providing for the prevention of the underlying causes of defects and increasing the interest of the contractors directly. On the basis of the analysis of the current situation with quality control at the construction market, ways to improve its efficiency by developing a unified system of technological implementation of relevant requirements for the quality of construction products, determining the rational number and business load of construction control engineers, as well as the active activities of self-regulatory organizations in this area are offered.

The COVID-19 pandemic initially started from the Wuhan capital city of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China had now led to a severe public health hazard across the globe, the recorded death is approximately 958 thousand globally and counting. With the enormous amount of spread of the disease, a severe crisis for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being noticed across the globe. Face masks being the first line of defence for all the healthcare workers as well for the common public. It became mandatory to wear face masks before entering the patient care area. The countries who are not manufacturing it locally had to depend on other countries for the procurement. As there is a severe supply chain disruption due to the lockdown measures taken by all the countries to contain the disease, so it had become difficult to procure the face masks from the manufacturing countries. The price for these PPEs is also rising at an alarming rate with the increase in the COVID-19 cases and the huge rate of consumption by the healthcare and other sectors. Therefore, with limited resources, the hospital has to run its services. The CDC, WHO and ICMR have released several guidelines from time to time for sterilization and reuse of face masks. This article will discuss the various methods that can be utilized to sterilize the face masks and reuse of it.

Every new pandemic forces us to start new specific behaviors both in the civil life and within the hospitals trying to contain the spreading of the infection and preserve the more fragile people. In this regard, at the debut of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-CoronaVirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic, our Local Health Agency had drastically modified every clinical and organizational pathways in order to limit the diffusion of the infection as well as to maintain a good quality of care and preserve healthcare workers. We report how we have modified the usual pediatric intra-hospital pathways in our primary level hospital to avoid mixing children with suspected and non-suspected symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Before every hospitalization, regardless of symptoms, each child and him/her parent/caregiver are undergone to rapid antigenic and molecular swab to rule out a SARS-CoV-2 infection; hence, positive patients are transferred to Pediatric Unit of third level hospital equipped by a Pediatric COVID Intensive Unit. We think the healthcare behaviors described in this manuscript can help to reduce the intra-hospital spreading of SARS-CoV-2, although children seem to have a minimal role in the dissemination, but we cannot let down your guard. Simultaneously we observed that the overall children requiring inpatient pediatric evaluation and hospitalization have dramatically decreased from the beginning of pandemic.
