Abstract The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused sensation and fear among the world population. World Health Organization (WHO) announced the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic on the 11th of March 2020 and India was one of the first countries to initiate the national pandemic lockdown. The teaching and learning process has been greatly impacted by this decisive step taken by the Government of India. Thereafter many institutes in India have adopted the online mode for the continuation of the teaching-learning process. A standard questionnaire was prepared and circulated among all participants within India via the online platform. A total of 1042 participants submitted their responses out of which 53% were females and 47% were males. 77% of students stated that they have attended online classes conducted by their respective educational institutes. The majority of the students were very much interested in online education (via Google platform, Zoom, etc.) but the practical knowledge was not adequate. Online education can be a good method of learning and improving the overall academic progress but it might not be as effective as a traditional education system for improving the practical aspect of learning in the case of the Medical and Allied Health students during the lockdown.

Many factors affect student learning outcomes coupled with changes in learning conditions due to the Corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the impacts and constraints of the Covid-19 outbreak on teaching and learning activities, especially in Geography subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Sikur. Data collection was carried out using the pretest - posttest method of students' abilities before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out by quantitative methods using paired sample t-test to test the difference in the effect of the two treatments on the interrelated sample groups. The results of the analysis indicate that there is a difference in the average Geography learning outcomes of 11th grade of social science students before and after the outbreak of the corona virus. Information was obtained that the average value of student learning outcomes during the face-to-face learning process was 86.27, better than the average value when the learning process was carried out online which was 75.73. Two learning methods are used for learning but the process has not been implemented optimally by both teachers and students, there are always obstacles faced. The purpose of this study was to determine and study the fulfillment of the right to basic education during the Covid 19 pandemic. The authors conducted research at the Department of Education and Culture of Elementary Schools and Junior High Schools in Ambon City using empirical research methods, data collection techniques through interviews and observations to students. Based on the results of the research conducted, the authors found that the distance learning system in schools in Ambon City was not optimal due to facilities and infrastructure and mastery of technology. which is still low. Fulfilling the right to education requires the involvement of all parties, namely the government, educators, students and parents to work together in the teaching and learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The government, educators, students and educational administering institutions at a practical level must strive to develop learning methods with good digital literacy skills so that they need to be improved through trainings using media for online learning for both educators, students and parents
