This research mapped the phenomena that occured in students who are taking classes entrepreneurship that was limited by entrepreneurial knowledge, personal attitude, social norms and self-efficacy. Using descriptive statistics on the answers of 794 respondents, who were students of Bina Nusantara University, produced a variety of results. Based on entrepreneurial knowledge, students still felt hesitant to be able to start and run the entrepreneurial process. On the other hand, self-efficacy and personal attitude reflect a positive thing associated, while the support of family and the environment around where they livevalued invariety. Although this research discovered phenomenon using all the attributes having impacts on entrepreneurship intention, potential students who are properly trained have a probability of playing a leading role in this regard. The benefits that can be expected from this research are useful in identifying suitable students for any entrepreneurial activity in the future with the support of educational institutions, families, and the government as a whole to form the atmosphere of an entrepreneurial culture.

Global challenges posed by climate change and environmental deterioration are increasingly driving entrepreneurship with sustainable entrepreneurial intention as a key driver in predicting entrepreneurial activities. Together with experience, the environmental values of an entrepreneur are vital for sustainable entrepreneurial intention. However, the extent to which experience is a key factor to start up a sustainable enterprise is still rather unclear. To study the role of experience, we derive from the theory of planned behaviour three factors (personal attitude, social norm and self-efficacy) to examine their impact on environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Based on a meta-analysis, the overall directions and effect intensity of the different factors in this relationship can be investigated. We develop a structural equation model to explore the mechanism behind the interaction between the different variables. We utilize information from 37 scientific articles using 40 empirical samples, 117 effect sizes and 192,015 observations. We found that environmental values are indeed positively related to a sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the relationship between environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention is moderated by experience, as well as personal attitude, social norms and self-efficacy. In addition, environmental values are more positively related to the intention to set up a sustainable venture for entrepreneurs with low-experience compared to those entrepreneurs with high-experience. For policy makers and managers, it becomes important to stimulate environmental values to promote sustainable entrepreneurial intentions in order to stimulate the growth of sustainable enterprises. By enhancing these three factors, sustainable entrepreneurial behaviour can be facilitated by increasing entrepreneurs’ sustainable intention.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to explore entrepreneurial intention and its determinants: in the case of Woldia University graduating students. To achieve its objectives, the study employed a descriptive and explanatory research design, and in the study, a cross-sectional study was conducted through a mixed research approach. The target population of the study was 223 regular first-degree 2018 graduating students of Woldia University, Management Department, and their instructors in the study area. The sample size was 143 respondents. The study result showed that majority of the respondents did not plan to start their own knowledge-based business. This was essentially due to the lack of competence in transforming ideas in to practice and commercializing it to create their own business. Correspondingly, prodigious attention should be given to have an entrepreneurial orientation in the contents and methods of teaching at all levels of education systems primary, secondary, and higher educational institutions and use different awareness-raising mechanisms in the country.

The number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia increased in 2017 from 1.67% to 3.10% from 225 million Indonesians. But the number is still less than the number of our neighboring entrepreneurs, Malaysia has 6% entrepreneurs, Singapore 7% and Thailand 5%. Increasing the number of entrepreneurs shows the increasing economic growth of a country, therefore the government made various efforts encourages the growth of the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, through education in this case the ministry of education provides an appeal for entrepreneurship to be included as part of the curriculum, both at the high school and university level. Entrepreneurship education giving the students experiances of various technical and skills to become more confident as an entrepreneurs. Beside of education, motivation, personality and family background also determine entrepreneurial intention. The aims of this research is to find out the entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial personality and family background influence on entrepreneurial intention. This study uses a sample of 326 business students of President University. The data collection using google docs that is spreaded via whatshapp, line and email. The result of the study were processed using SPSS version 22. The conclusion show that independent variables (entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial personality and family background) influence on entrepreneurial intention with affected 54.4% and the rest by the others factors.

This paper examines the impact of entrepreneurial education on intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity in the future. The study is based on a sample of 208 engineering students. Specifically, we explore the contingent effect of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial education and intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, as well as the role of social norms on the association between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. We utilize a comprehensive questionnaire distributed among engineering students. Our findings indicate that entrepreneurial education is positively associated with the intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, in addition to demonstrating a positive moderation effect role of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. The study provides empirical support to devise new educational initiatives that can further support students and young entrepreneurs in their current or future entrepreneurial projects

This paper examined the drivers of entrepreneurial intention among students of the University of the Gambia. Various theories were adopted in the past to study entrepreneurial intentions among university going students. Building on the relevant literature on entrepreneurship models, this research examines student intention to engage in entrepreneurial ventures in the Gambia. In line with several (prior) research, our results confirm the important role of the business climate, entrepreneurial attitude and subjective norms on students’ intention to engage in entrepreneurial ventures. These results contribute to the literature by demonstrating the peculiar environment and segment of the population (the youth) that is emerging in the field of entrepreneurship, and the significance of entrepreneurship education. Our results provide implication for the government, policymakers, and educational institutions. The agenda for future research have also been discussed.

E-entrepreneurship has received significant attention in the 21st century as entrepreneurial activities anchor on creativity and innovation. Seeking to change from a petroleum-based to a service-based economy, the government of Saudi Arabia considers entrepreneurship as a critical option. This study investigates the influence of the TPB components (attitude towards entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy) on the e-entrepreneurial intention of Saudi women. Five hundred thirty-four female undergraduate students from different universities in Saudi Arabia completed survey questionnaires to understand the moderating role of resource accessibility in influencing entrepreneurial intentions. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the model. The study reveals that attitude towards entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial self-efficacy are significantly related to e-entrepreneurial intention, while the subjective norm was insignificant. The moderation role of resource accessibility (RA) positively impacted the relationship between the TPB components and e-entrepreneurial intention. The findings of this study develop a base for supporting women's entrepreneurial intention through resource accessibility. The significance of an entrepreneurial culture of a country in alleviating its social and economic issues is accepted by policymakers and emphasized by academics. The role of government in shaping entrepreneurial culture is little understood in the literature. This is especially true for emerging economies like Pakistan. Furthermore, the role of educational institutions in supporting such a culture has also not been adequately understood by the extant literature. This raises issues for policymakers in a country like Pakistan when it comes to taking entrepreneurial decisions. This study intends to examine the effect of government support on establishing an entrepreneurial culture along with the role of education institutions support acting as moderator. Data was gathered through a self-structured questionnaire from 1200 final year students of higher education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan) using the proportional allocation method. Simple regression and Process approach were used for data analysis. The findings reveal that government support has a significant positive effect on the entrepreneurial culture of Pakistan. Moreover, the educational institutions support significantly moderates the relationship between government support and entrepreneurial culture, thereby highlighting one of the underlying mechanisms through which the government may extend its influence for enabling an entrepreneurial culture. This research holds if the government and higher education institutions play their role in promoting an entrepreneurial culture, it will lead students towards a business-oriented approach to become entrepreneurs and job creators rather than job seekers.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine the factors that affect Islamic entrepreneurial intentions. Specifically, how do prior experience, empathy, moral obligation, self-efficacy and perceived behavioral support affect entrepreneurial intentions based on Islamic principles? Design/methodology/approach To answer this question, three theoretical frameworks using the theory of planned behavior (TPB), the theory of bounded rational planned behavior (TBRPB) and the theory of social entrepreneurship as its basis were established. Using measurement scales created to assess different aspects of the constructs, a survey instrument was developed to test the various relationships implied by those frameworks. Findings The findings of the study revealed that among the five factors prior experience and self-efficacy are the most important factors to affect Islamic entrepreneurial intentions. Research limitations/implications From a research perspective, the study results establish the robustness of the TPB, TBRPB and the social entrepreneurial intention model for helping to explain Islamic entrepreneurial intention behavior. Practical implications The practical implications of these results suggest that efforts aimed at increasing Islamic entrepreneurial activity may want to consider the variables studied in this paper. Both interested policymakers and academics cherishing to encourage Islamic, as well as conventional entrepreneurial activity, can take away that Islamic entrepreneurial self-efficacy and prior experience are deemed to be the most important measures. Social implications The findings from this paper suggest that the organizations could tend to promote Islamic entrepreneurial intentions in society through a special emphasis on the antecedents discussed in this paper. Originality/value It is vital to keep in mind that the measure for Islamic entrepreneurial self-efficacy used in this study differed from the usual constructs for self-efficacy.
