The development of the city is along with population growth in the city, from low density into a higher density. Along with the development of the population of the city that is denser, it is necessary to change the pattern of development, where the trend today is leading to the vertical development although increasing the density of the area is not an easy thing. This is because an increase in the density of the area must be balanced with an increase in facilities and adequate infrastructure. If it is not fulfilled then it will have a negative impact on the city or region. One of the necessary infrastructure for the development is transportation infrastructure since the development of a city will increase density therefore in turn it will generate the daily trip, both from the region and towards the region. In the field of urban design, the formula for the density limitation is set in the urban design guidelines that functions as the foundation for an architect to design the building. Urban design guidelines is mainly formulated in the numbers BCR, FAR, and the maximum height of buildings that will form the frame of the building mass. Therefore, this paper intends to explain the optimum modeling between the density of a region with the treshold of existing road infrastructure. With the modeling of the optimum, then the negative impacts can be reduced and the modeling results will get the maximum density that can be accommodated in an area.

<p>The renovation of the waterfronts, such as those in the main public spaces of large cities, started in 1970s. Core industries had found other places to develop far from the city; thereafter key areas fell out of use and into disrepair. As a consequence, a huge number of urban areas became in urgent need of renewal. However, urban design guidelines to regenerate these open spaces have significantly changed since then. The approach towards returning these parts of the city to its inhabitants has evolved from an emphasis on building new housing in the nineties, to considering the broader aspects of sustainability in the early years of the current century and finally to searching for the areas’ identity in more recent years. Therefore, currently this identity is one of the main aspects designers are looking for. At the same time, the sustainability of the waterfront areas may be achieved through the establishment of this place´s sense of identity. In order to do this, we assess three urban actions undertaken in Portland and Vancouver -False Creek North, South Waterfront and Southeast False Creek-. The article suggests that the interplay between urban design, sustainability and identity is becoming the new driver for the design of the waterfronts.</p>

Traditional traders are traders who carry out the trading process in traditional markets and the buildings usually consist of stalls and open grounds opened by sellers or a market manager and with an uncertain price system. The method approach used in this research is a qualitative method which aims to provide a systematic, factual and accurate description. Based on research on how the impact of the presence of minimarts on the socio-economic conditions of traditional traders in the city of Tidore, North Maluku Province, it turns out that the presence of minimarkets has an impact on traditional traders. Moreover, the negative impacts such as decreasing income of traditional traders, loss of livelihood, children dropping out of school and increasing poverty levels, while the positive impacts make it easier for traditional traders to get merchandise. To anticipate the negative impact of the presence of the minimarket, some traders also make efforts by doing side jobs. This also deserves the attention of the local government to overcome problems related to the impact of minimarkets that are felt by traditional traders so that it does not have an impact on the socio-economic life of the community.

This study aims to determine what are the impacts of using E-Commerce in increasing MSME sales turnover. This study uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive analysis. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research subjects were 5 MSME actors in the city of Makassar. The results showed that there are two impacts of using E-Commerce, namely positive impacts and negative impacts. The positive impact is the use of E-Commerce, namely, the store can be accessed 24 hours, provides security and convenience in the transaction process, eases promotions so that it can help communicate faster with customers and can access the global market and can satisfy customers and of course can increase sales turnover. Meanwhile, the negative impact is that if the goods are damaged, the goods can be checked and result in losses in shipping and packing costs, the number of rivals, admin fees charged to buyers and sellers, the COD system that makes sellers feel disadvantaged because the funds are released after the goods arrive.

Abstract   Last mile delivery is the logistics transportation segment that has the most negative impacts and more likely to occur in urban areas. This negative impact will be felt by the urban citizens whose quality of life is guaranteed by the city administrator. On the other hand, logistics operators have limitations in changing their operating systems. The purpose of this study is to identify the gaps in the views of each stakeholder in realizing a solution to logistical problems, namely the Urban Consolidation Center, B20 Fuel, Limited Traffic Zone, and Fleet Renewal. Survey methods through questionnaires and interviews with logistics operators and city or govern-ment administrators were carried out to get each party's views on problems. This study shows that, although both parties still lack knowledge of solutions to logistical problems, it is possible to implement these solutions.   Keywords: gap; last mile delivery; logistics transportation; logistics operator; urban area.     Abstrak   Last mile delivery merupakan segmen transportasi logistik yang paling banyak menuai dampak negatif serta mayoritas terjadi di kawasan urban. Dampak negatif tersebut akan dirasakan oleh masyarakat luas yang kualitas hidupnya menjadi tanggungan administrator kota. Di sisi lain, operator logistik memiliki keterbatasan dalam mengubah sistem operasinya. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi gap pandangan masing-masing pe-mangku kepentingan dalam mewujudkan suatu solusi terhadap permasalahan logistik, yaitu Urban Consolida-tion Center, Bahan bakar B20, Limited Traffic Zone, serta Pembaruan Armada. Metode survei melalui kuisioner dan wawancara kepada operator logistik dan administrator kota atau pemerintah dilakukan untuk mendapatkan pandangan masing-masing pihak terhadap masalah-masalah. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa, walaupun kedua belah pihak masih memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang akan solusi permasalahan logistik, solusi tersebut mungkin untuk diimplementasikan.   Kata-kata kunci: gap; last mile delivery; transportasi logistik; operator logistik; kawasan urban.

In this regard, and in line with Ashworth (2009), three urban planning instruments are widely used throughout the world as a means of boosting a city’s image: (i) personality association - where places associate themselves with a named individual from history, literature, the arts, politics, entertainment, sport or even mythology; (ii) the visual qualities of buildings and urban design, which include flagship building, signature urban design and even signature districts and (iii) event hallmarking - where places organize events, usually cultural (e.g., European Capital of Culture, henceforth referred to as ECoC) or sporting (e.g., the Olympic Games), in order to obtain worldwide recognition.

Recently, the number of published works devoted to the processes of synanthropization of fauna, is growing like an avalanche, which indicates the extreme urgency of this theme. In our view, the process of forming devices to coexist with human and the results of his life reflects the general tandency of the modern nature evolution. Urbanization is characteristic for such a specific group of animals like amphibians, the evidence of which are numerous literature data. Many researchers use this group to assess the bioindicative quality of the environment. For this aim a variety of indicators are used: from the cellular level of life of organization up to the species composition of the group in different territories. At the same time, the interpretation of the results is not always comparable for different areas and often have significantly different interpretations by experts. Urban environment, primarily due to the contamination is extremely aggressive to amphibians. As a consequence, the urban populations of amphibians may be a change in the demographic structure, affecting the reproductive ability of the population, the disappearance of the most sensitive species or individuals, resizing animals, the appearance of abnormalities in the development, etc. At the same time play an important amphibians in the ecosystems of cities, and some species in these conditions even feel relatively comfortable. Therefore, it is interesting to understand the mechanisms of self-sustaining populations of amphibians in urban environments. To assess the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on the development of amphibian populations were used cognitive modeling using the program Vensim PLE. Cognitive map of the model for urban and suburban habitat conditions were the same. The differences concerned the strength of connections between individual factors (migration, fertility, pollution) and their orientation. In general, factors like pollution, parasites, predators had negative impact on the population, reducing its number. The birth rate, food and migration contributed to raising number of individuals. Some of the factors affected on the strength to of each other as well: the majority of the factors affected the structure of the population, had an influence on the fertility. Thanks to it the model reflects the additive effect of complex of factors on the subsequent status of the population. Proposed and analyzed four scenarios differing strength and duration of exposure. In the first scenario, a one-time contamination occurs and not subsequently repeated. The second and third scenario assumes half board contamination, 1 year (2 scenario) and two years (scenario 3). In the fourth scenario, the pollution affected the population of amphibians constantly. In accordance with the results of simulation, much weaker than the natural populations respond to pollution - have them as an intensive population growth and its disappearance at constant pollution is slow. Changes to other parameters of the model showed that this pollution is the decisive factor -only the constant action leads to a lethal outcome for the populations. All other components of the model have a corrective effect on the population dynamics, without changing its underlying trand. In urban areas due to the heavy impact of pollution maintaining the population is only possible thanks to the migration process – the constant replenishment of diminishing micropopulations of natural reserves. This confirms the assumption that the form of existence metapopulations lake frog in the city. In order to maintain the number of amphibians in urban areas at a high level it is necessary to maintain existing migration routes and the creation of new ones. Insular nature of the placement of suitable habitats in urban areas causes the metapopulation structure of the types of urbanists. Therefore, the process of urbanization is much easier for those species whicht are capable of migration in conditions of city. In the initial stages of settling the city micropopulationis formed by selective mortality of the most susceptible individuals to adverse effects. In future, maintaining the categories of individuals is provided mainly due to migration processes metapopulisation form of the species of existence is supported). It should be noted that the changes in the previous levels are always saved in future. In the case of reorganizations of individuals we of morphology can assume the existence of extremely adverse environmental conditions that threaten the extinction of the micropopulations.

Gelendzhik is the resort town, there aren't a lot of industrial enterprises here. The main pollutant is transport. The work purpose is the assessment of a condition of the artificial landings of a pine located along the Federal highway "Don" and landings, which is nearly the sea coast. Researches were conducted to a standard technique of the General vital state (A. S. Bogolyubov). The assessment of a condition of pines was carried out during 6 years: from 2010 to 2015. For carrying out research we used 6 experimental grounds on the Markotkhsky spine and 2 control grounds within the town. We investigated 24 trees on each platform, middle age of the trees were 30 - 40 years. Results. 1. The condition of trees in the pine forests located in immediate proximity with the Federal highway "Don" (No. 1, 2, 3) is unsatisfactory. As even weak influences of the majority of atmospheric gaseous pollutants (sulphurous gas, nitrogen oxides, etc.) give effect of a necrosis and hloroz of pine needles, the condition of pines is connected with technogenic pollution. So near the Federal highway "Don" the air environment is strongly polluted by exhaust gases. Information of 2012 confirm that negative influence of the route on Markotkh's vegetation decreases at reduction of load of the route. 2. On the sites located above on a slope (No. 4,5,6) thanks to remoteness and the wind mode intensity of influence of pollutants is lower and a condition of pines the quite satisfactory. 3. Trees on the sites located near the sea (No. 7,8) are in a good shape. Small deterioration of a state is noted in very droughty years. Conclusion. Results of six years' research show that the condition of the plantings which are in close proximity with the road worsens. It is explained by increase in intensity of the movement on the road, especially during a resort season. Gelendzhik is the city with a good ecological shape, but the damage to environment is already caused. If not to take measures, we can lose a unique part of the nature in the future, recreate it will be impossible. Measures of reduction of negative impact of exhaust gases were offered. Results of researches are transferred to ecological department of the City administration of Gelendzhik.

AbstractFace masks are currently considered essential devices that people must wear today and in the near future, until the COVID-19 pandemic will be completely defeated through specific medicines and vaccines. Such devices are generally made of thermoplastic polymers, as polypropylene and polyethylene and are single use products. Even if in this period the sanitary emergency must have the maximum priority, the world society should not completely forget the environmental problem that are causing more and more obvious climate changes with correlated damages to ecosystems and human health. Despite the well-known correlation among anti-COVID protective equipment (or more generally medical devices) and environmental issues, the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and eco-design-based studies in this field is very scarce. The present study aims to derive the most important environmental criticalities of such products, by using LCA and product circularity indicators of five different common masks. The final aim is to provide eco-design guidelines, useful to design new face masks by preventing negative impact on the environment.
